Axel blinked as he heard some music and looked around, trying to figure out where it was coming from.
That was when he heard IT.
"UGH!" He slammed his head on the table and shook it. "No more..." Was heard a muffle. "No more...."

Ven laughed as he slowly got up. "Well, I need some fucking fresh air." He looked back at where the room with the food was but there was no sign of Sora. "Uh... you guys go ahead, I'm going to wait for Sora."

Olette, Seifer, Saix, Demyx, Aqua and Fuu all got up and headed towards the gardens as Terra, Ven, Roxas and Axel waited. As Ven waited, he frowned a bit, noting that Sora was taking awhile. Was he bringing them some too? He slowly sat down, his eyes darkening. He was having a weird feeling about this... Slowly he reached up and wrapped his fingers around his silver pendant.


Riku's eyes widened a bit as he heard the question. What was... that all about...?
He slowly looked down, seeing Sora dip his strawberry in his chocolate and sighed softly. "Sora....I....." He started before he closed his eyes and shook his head slightly.

He slowly placed the bowl down on the table before walking away, leaving Sora alone at the stand. He walked off and slowly disappeared in the hallway towards the entrance of the gardens, finding Kairi waiting for him at the end.
"So, how were the strawberries?" Kairi asked as she wrapped her arm around his, slowly heading to the gardens together.
"They were.... sour..."

Roxas burst into laughter as Axel freaked out, patting the red-head on the back soothingly. Even Demyx felt sorry for his friend. But not so much that he didn't drag off Saix to the dance floor anyways, once Ven said it was alright.
It was time to show the blue-haired male that his dance class was paying off!

Seifer was a little shy about the whole thing as he paused near the arch and looked at Olette as he asked her to dance.

Aqua and Fuujin for-goed the dancing for now, instead deciding to take a walk around the perimeter and study the flowers and share a small bowl of dipping dots (they had a vender outside and a little to the left of the entrance).


Terra frowned looked at Ven and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. That look on his face wasn't comforting.

Roxas sighed, tapping his fingers on the table as they waited for Sora, but when he saw wait Ven was doing, it made him grow nervous as well. Something wasn't right... "We should go look for him." He announced standing from the table.


Sora waited for Riku to finish, his eyes dark as the other just walked away. His heart gave a tremble.
He looked down at the bowl of chocolate the other left behind sticking his finger in it. It was nice and warm...

He sucked on his finger, grimacing. Bittersweet. "Fucking... Riku!" He smacked the bowl over - thankfully plastic - and it clattering to the ground nosily. Chocolate splattered everywhere, including on Sora's nice clothes. "Shit!" He spun on his heels and hurried off to the bathroom to scrub out the chocolate. His mother was going to kill him when she found out he stained them...


It took the foursome awhile to find Sora. They found the mess and some employees nearby cleaning it up. Terra and Axel spied over the many heads of students towards the dance floor, trying to find the brunette and announced to their shorter lovers that no he didn't appear to be out there.

They checked the dining area once more but Sora hadn't reappeared at the table. He wasn't getting ice cream. And he wasn't hanging out around in the lounge. Finally they tried the bathroom.

They found the brunette alone, leaning against the sink as he scrubbed at his pants with a wet paper towel, a look of fury spread across his face. "Hey..." Roxas started, walking over. "what happened?"
"Nothing I just got chocolate on me. No big deal." The other said in a tense tone of voice. Obviously something WAS a big deal though and it didn't seem to have anything to do with chocolate on incredibly expensive clothes.
"What's... wrong?" Was the hesitant question.
"Nothing. Everything's fine." Sora said as he put his foot down and turned to get more paper towels.
"Sora something is obviously wrong!"
Sora looked up and glared at Roxas and it was scary enough the blond took a step back. He'd... never seen the other look like that before. "If I said it was fucking nothing Roxas then it's fucking NOTHING!!" He threw the paper towels on the ground irritably. "God! It's not like everything in my pathetic existence is a fucking crisis you know!"

Roxas eyes were wide. He'd never heard Sora yell, or swear, that much at him - or anyone really. And instinctively he got angry to. "Jesus Sora I was just trying to help!"
"WELL I DON'T WANT YOUR FUCKING HELP SO BACK THE FUCK OFF!"
"WELL FINE FUCK YOU!"
"YOU FUCKING TOO!" Sora huffed as he turned around, crossing his arms.
Roxas growled and turned on his heels stomping for the door only to be stopped by Terra.
"Alright, alright let's all calm the fuck down!"

Ven frowned as he got another head shake from Terra. Sora was nowhere to be seen.
"Maybe he's in the bathroom?" Axel shrugged his shoulders and everyone looked at each other before looking at the Men's bathroom. They could check in there.

The four walked in and Roxas was the first to enter. There was no point for the rest to go in looking for one person. If Sora was in there, they'd all go but if not, then they needed to start searching outside around the gardens. Maybe they could follow some sneezes. As the three waited outside, Ven sighed. "Man.... this isn't good..."
Axel pouted, a bit confused about everything. "Wh---"

They stopped dead as they heard swears flying all over and Ven turned to the door... but Terra was already halfway through it.
He walked to him and under his arm, looking in at his very pissed brothers and a slightly wet Sora.
"Yo! The fuck's going on here!?" The blonde frowned as he walked in and crossed his arms. He suddenly smacked Roxas and frowned more. "You think yelling at him is going to make this shit better!?"

He glanced over at Sora and tapped his foot. "Aswon tion Riku?" He could already see Terra roll his eyes from the 'weird language'.

"Ow! He fucking started it!" Roxas growled unhappily as he rubbed the spot his brother hit moving away from both of them to get close to Axel again. It was rather off having a confrontation in a bathroom... with five guys.

There was silence however as the question was asked. The only word Axel and Terra understood was 'Riku' but it was enough that they could guess what they were saying.

Sora tensed a little before he looked over his shoulder and nodded once, lips pulled tight and thin with an unhappy frown.

Ven nodded, his face becoming sad. He slowly looked back at the three and frowned, his expression changing dramatically. "The fuck are you all doing in here!? This a fucking show!? Terra, Axel, get the fuck out of here, alright? Give us like.... five minutes and we'll meet you at the dance floor.

Axel's eyes widened as he was yelled at by the spunky teen and backed away. "Alright, alright..." He pouted before leaving the bathroom with Terra. "Man, where did you find him?"

When the two left, Ven looked back at Sora and walked over to him. He leaned close and slowly started to run Sora's back. "Sora... what happened? What did he do?" He asked in the softest voice he could muster. A voice that only Terra seemed to know.

Roxas sighed, squeezing Axel's hand reassuring as he left. Terra didn't make any comment merely nodded and left with the red-head. He chuckled at the other's question. "In a bitch pageant I believe."

Roxas reached up, flipping the lock once the two had left. The other students could fucking hold it. He turned around and crossed his arms, not really wanted to get close.

Sora frowned but sighed his body relaxing a little as he felt Ven's hand rubbing his back. "I... n-nothing. He didn't do anything I did it... we were at the dessert table I made a stupid comment about him and Kairi and made him mad..." He shut his eyes shaking his head. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't of even come I'm ruining your guys' day by being here..."

Axel couldn't help but bust out laughing. "HAHAHAHAHA!! I can tontally understand thaaaa...." He closed his mouth when a glare was shot at him. "Heh.... uh.... I'm going to the garden." He smiled uneasily before quickly hurrying to the exit.


Ven nodded and sighed as he listened. He knew that Sora just couldn't keep it in anymore. Shit, he knew exactly how it felt. Had to bottle up all these emotions and they overflow, coming out mean and nasty in a desperation that... maybe the other would understand somehow.

Can you say Terra?

"Sora... you're not ruining our night. You're ruining yours." He put softly. "I know it's hard... I know you want Riku and I know it fucking sucks... but... look. Me and Roxas will be your date tonight. It's the night everyone lets loose... so let's go out there... and make total asses of ourselves and just have fun. We can dance all crazy and eat so much that when we get home, we will fall into food comas. Let's shake explosive things and jump on tables. Let out this.... shit in a different way. These emotions are getting the best of you Sora and like myself...I turned into a totally different person."

He moved in slower and buried his face into Sora's neck. "I don't want happened to me happen to you. So please, Sora..."

"Yeah that's what I thought you said." Terra said as he terrified the red-head in running off. He smirked.


Roxas bit his lip at Ven's emotional speech before he walked forward hesitantly.

Sora's eyes opened and he looked at Ven quietly as the other spoke. His eyes started to shimmer as the other spoke. Ven was afraid of him... hurting himself? He wouldn't lie... the idea had crossed his mind once or twice but... but he couldn't put his family through that again. It was bad enough when Ven did it, they didn't need a second suicidal maniac in the house.

And... he knew it would get better eventually...

He frowned as Ven snuggled closer and reached up hugging him close and shutting his eyes. "Ven..."

He blinked as another body came close against his other side and he chuckled, wrapping an arm around him and bringing him close too. "Roxas..."

"He's right you know." Roxas said softly. "You know what happens to me when I bottle up stuff - it's never pretty. You always told me it wasn't healthy... and now i know why. I don't like seeing you do it to yourself."

He gave each his brothers a kiss on the cheek, smiling. "Thanks guys really... I promise I'll be okay."
There was a pause then, "So... we gonna go dance or what?"

Ven smiled at the kiss on his cheek. If anyone else had saw that, they would of thought that there was something VERY wrong with the three... but it never bothered them personally. They were snuggled together for 9 months, sharing food and warmth. Then when they were born and brought home, they were snuggled together for a few years. They developed their own language that they knew and understood perfectly. The three were connected and could almost say they were one.

A kiss on the cheek was nothing.

Ven blinked as he heard his brother and grinned wickedly. "ALRIGHT! Let's go fuck up that dance floor!" He cried before racing to the door and unlocking it. He could only laugh when he saw a line outside of it. He pushed through the small crowd, hearing them complain. As he looked back, he saw two smiles. Those of his brothers. They quickly raced across the room to the entrance of the gardens.

He opened the door to get blasted with music... and THANKFULLY it wasn't that FUCKING song!

He looked around to see a redhead looking around nervously next to a brunette, their height almost close. With a grin, Ventus looked back and nodded to his brother before jumping towards the two taller ones... and let loose to the music. This would probably be the first time in public that Ventus wasn't dancing to a death metal song.

Sora and Roxas couldn't help but smile at Ven's enthusiasm. It seemed like everyone had switched roles tonight - Ven had become more like Sora, Sora was more like Ven and Roxas was well... Roxas was still Roxas.

Out the door three boys raced out, laughing some at the line. Sora yelled an apology over his shoulder while he sped past and out into the garden they went.

Axel and Terra's only warning was Ven's enthusiastic cry and the two looked over... to see Ven... dancing?!

"Let's dance!" Roxas goaded as he raced over, grabbing Sora's wrist and forcing him to spin.
"Whoa!" Sora cried grinning.
Terra raised an eyebrow - now he knew what the hell was wrong Sora was just fucking bipolar! - before he started to back away slowly from the three teens. "Uhhh..." But Ven didn't let him escape grabbing him by the arms and coaxing him back over. The brunette blushed shaking his head and Ven leaned up whispering about how he wanted to help so he'd better start fucking helping.

Caught the other blushed more and gave in. Even if he couldn't dance.

Axel was much less hard to get to join in one the fun and even if they said hardly anything to the red-head he seemed to understand why the twins were concentrating on making Sora happy rather then their dates. He apparently had no problem helping out too as they took to the dance floor.

So Sora had a lot of fun, between swinging, waltzing and salsa dancing with Roxas and Axel, headbanging and rocking out with Ven, and teaching Terra how to loosen up when he danced, Sora had a lot of fun. And he got a few laughs from everyone when Terra admitted the only dance he knew was disco and Sora wheedled it out of the other to show him some moves. Ven was never going to forget it that was for sure. The best part was since Sora was dancing with everyone, everyone still got a chance to dance with their real dates too. They also happened to spot Olette, Seifer, Saix, Demyx and even Aqua and Fuujin dancing on the dance floor and made sure to say hi.

The dancing lasted the better part of the night and the hours passed by without them noticing. Of course they got off on of the dance floor every once and awhile to take a break and get off their feet or just to explore the area. There was, of course, also dippin dots and other sweet food involved with these escapades.

They were on one of those so-called breaks when it happened. They were piled in the small dining room were some other kids were. Ven, Terra and Axel all stealing something to drink at the refreshment table, while Sora and Roxas giggled over at the chocolate fountain.
"For a wonderful night!" Roxas grinned lifting the chocolate dripping strawberry in the air like one would a glass of champagne.
"Here here!" Sora giggled as he 'clinked' the fruit together, and a trail of chocolate followed as they split them, getting over their fingers as they bite into them.

They were just going for another when...
"Roxas? Where's Roxas?" A sweet voice called just outside the open door. It was Mrs. White, Roxas' choir teacher.
"Uh right here!" Roxas called, catching her attention. She smiled hurrying inside and over to him. "They're just about to announce the King and Queen! Come on you've got to get up there."
"R-Really?!" Roxas shifted uncomfortably, his cheeks suddenly flushing as his eyes widened with sudden stage fright. He had forgotten all about his singing debut! And that also meant the night was only a half hour away from being over...
Sora grinned, though it was a little strained. That meant the last songs of the night would be slow songs. "Good luck Rox!"

Roxas smiled and nodded to the other and, after similar words from Terra and Ventus as well as a kiss of luck from Axel, Roxas was out the door and following his teacher to the DJ's stage were he would be singing.
Axel was just announcing they better get their butts out their to go listen to his lover sing when some yelling in the adjacent room - the dining room - caught their attention.

They weren't just any voices arguing though. They were Kairi's... and Riku's.

Sora bit his lip before he slowly walked over to the door, poking his head out to listen to the two.

Ven snorted as he watched Terra do some disco dances. THE FUCK did he learn how to do those!? He actually laughed so hard that he fell over and it took him a good ten minutes for his stomach to stop hurting and for him to wipe his eyes.

Terra go over it like everything else and they all got some pointers on the ancient dance style. Axel and Roxas found it to be most fun.

While on their breaks though, Ventus had fun shooting his dots at Terra and other people through his mouth. Seeing that he was in a large group of people, no one found out it was him. He smiled as he watched Roxas and Axel hold hands throughout their whole breaks, whispering things into each others ears. He was glad that his brother got over his fear of being asexual... because Roxas never looked so happy... and bright.

Apparently their sex life had no faults in it either and Roxas could 'get it up' every time.

Ven grinned as he looked up at Axel, now feeling very short seeing that he was in between the redhead and Terra at the drink table. "So... what are you two doing after prom?"
Axel looked down and grinned before pouring some more punch in his cup. "Well, from what I heard, I'm going to be getting na------nice kisses." The redhead blinked as he saw Roxas come their way.

He turned and smiled, as Roxas told them it was time for his duet. Ven hugged the other blonde and patted him on the back. "Break a leg!"
Axel blinked and pouted. "No leg breaking... but good luck, baby." He leaned over and gave Roxas a sweet kiss before waving the blonde goodbye as the woman walked him away. Green eyes looked back and nodded at the group. "We should get going~ I don't wanna miss Roxie's cute voice~~~"

Ven stuck out his tongue before taking one step forward... and that was as far as he got.

"RIKU!!"

Everyone's head turned to the room where the yell came from and Ven frowned as he saw Sora go to the door.
"Damnit... come on...." Axel whined only to get a pissed off look from Ven. "You go then!"
The redhead didn't argue as he quickly went back outside. Ven sighed as he stood close to Terra, wondering what Sora was seeing.


Kairi growled as she stood in the middle of the room with her arms crossed. "I can't believe you want to leave NOW! You know... you've ruined this whole thing! You haven't even smiled ONCE and every time I talk to you, you're in another world. You KNOW that this is a big night don't you!?"
"It's not BIG, Kairi. Senior prom is BIG." The silverette snapped back.
"Yea, but SOMEONE isn't going to even BE here for senior prom, REMEMBER!? You're taking all those advance course and you'll be off to college by then! This is our BIG year." She huffed and tapped her foot.

Riku sighed as he looked away, his face covered by his hair.
"There you go again. Not a word. Look, Riku... if there's something wrong, you need to tell me. Is it Sora?"
The silverette looked back and her and shook his head. "Leave Sora out of this. I told you I didn't feel good and you still dragged me to this stupid party. I just... want to go."
"You look fine to me."

There was dead silence before Riku threw down a bouquet of flowers that he had gotten Kairi the day before. "Forget it Kairi! Everything is about you! I tried, OK!? I really did! I tried to tell myself that we could work but we just can't!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small package. "And take this too." He flung it at her and growled. "I don't want to get pressured into that either."

Kairi blinked as she caught the package and sighed. "Al...alright. W-we can leave now if you want..."
They stared at each other before Riku picked up the bouquet. They slowly started to walk towards the exit, a door on the far left that would bring them to the front of the hotel. Aquatic eyes looked over, to the door that Sora was looking out of... and he cause the blue eyes before he disappeared outside.

They slowly walked down the stairs, the door closing behind them. When they got the the curb, he found a taxi waiting not to far away. The silverette walked over and opened the back door for Kairi to get in and instead of getting in next to her... the door closed. The redhead blinked and pulled down her window. "Ri--"
"Go home, Kairi... next year... will be your year ok? Find a nice guy who will give you the world. I'm sorry but... I'm just not the one." He smiled faintly before handing her the bouquet through the window and walked back to the entrance.

Kairi took a deep sigh before winding her window back up, placing the flowers on the empty seat next to her. She slowly looked up at the card in front of her, showing her a picture of the driver. He had blonde hair and a cute smile.
Apparently his name was Tidus.
"Please... drive me to 7 Dream Avenue..."


Ven sighed as he saw Sora walk through the door and disappeared behind it. With a shake of his head, he looked up at Terra. "Let's go see how Roxas is doing..." He took the brunette's hand and they both walked back outside where everyone was gathering around the stage that was set up.

Riku sighed as he opened the door and walked through, rubbing the back of his neck. Great, now---
He stopped dead in his tracks when he spotted a lone boy in the empty room.
"S...Sora....?"

Terra sighed as Axel ran off but he stayed with Ven, wrapping an arm around the blonde's shoulders as they listened to the yelling coming from the other room. After all the work they did... it was about to be undone again.

Sora stood there quietly listening to the two as they yelled back and forth at one another. He bit his lip as his name was mentioned, unable to forget that cruel think he said at the door.

His shoulder tensed as Riku exploded, flowers swishing as they hit the ground hard, a few petals falling from the more delicate ones. His eyes widened suddenly though when he saw the little square package and it was thrown at Kairi.
"I don't want to get pressured into that either."
His jaw dropped. KAIRI had...? No way! She... she didn't even... seem the type to pressure someone into sex - lest of all Riku! What... what happened to the sweet red-haired girl he had met when he was eight who was only interesting in chasing butterflies and making flower crowns?

On that note... what happened to the supportive friend he had always known and loved and used to fight with Riku over who liked her best?

His eyes darkened sadly, this time for Kairi. She had... changed so much. Or maybe... he just changed too much for her.
He watched as the two started to leave the dining room his eyes meeting Riku's, blue eyes full of sadness for them both. Even if he loved Riku... he still wished the two happiness. He sighed as they left, slipping into the room and walked towards where the two had been, looking down at the broken petals.
His lips twitched a bit, randomly remembering the Garnet's creative writing poem about the wildflower. It looked like these flowers never truly made it to the girl...

"Alright..." Terra said softly as they walked out the door together back into the garden where they were getting ready toa nnounce the King and Queen.


Tidus glanced back, smiling lightly. "Yeah no problem..." He pulled away from the curb. He couldn't help but wonder how sad it must be for this girl to get stood up at her own prom.
He looked in the rear view mirror as he drove away from the hotel, seeing her sad eyes. "Hey now... that sad look certainly shouldn't be on such a pretty face."



Sora sighed placing his hand on a table top looking towards the window doors that led into the garden, seeing students and teachers all gathered there as the music cut off.
"Alright here's the moment you've all been waiting for! And this years King and Queen... Laguna Lionheart and Raine Loire!"
He could hear cheers erupting as the two seniors no doubt went to go fetch their crowns...

He blinked as he heard footsteps and his name, uttered softly and uncertainly. Sora blinked before looking over towards the door his breath catching as he saw the silverette standing there... alone and upset.
"Now if you all would, but your hands together for Hollow Bastion's very own Roxas Holani as he sings this years King and Queen slow-dance song!"

And the look on his face broke Sora's heart. The blue-eyed teen looked away before an idea clicked in his mind. He turned and walked over to the silver-haired male stopping a few feet away from him, staring into the other's eyes. He gave him a gorgeous smile before giving the other a sweeping bow. "I'd be honored if you, Riku Mizushima, would join me in a dance." He straightened holding out his hand in askance.

Axel had pushed himself as far towards the front as he could, wanting to see his boyfriend up close... even if he knew he was going to see him pretty CLOSE after this! He grinned at the thought but it was pushed out of him when he was shoved. "H-hey!" The redhead cried before looking back, seeing it was Ven making some room for him and Terra.

Man... Terra needed to lay off the muffins!

They all quieted down with the announcer came on... and EVERYONE clapped when the king and queen were announced. The two got on stage and took their things, looking as happy as ever and waving to the crowd. They really deserved it! Everyone knew they were sweethearts from freshmen year to now and both were such nice, kind people.

Axel cheered more as Roxas came to stage but realized something really quick.
WHO THE HELL WAS HE GOING TO DANCE WITH!? He pouted as he realized that he would have to sit this one out... but at least he could watch the blonde.

"YEA! GO ROXAS! WOO!!" The identical blonde called as he jumped a bit. He hated slow songs but he could deal with this one...


The redhead looked up slowly and sighed. "It's.... It's really my fault. I'm just so caught up with what the other girls have been saying and... I blew it." She sighed again as she looked out the window.


Riku swallowed as Sora turned around, his eyes catching those of Sora. Riku still... didn't feel to good... not that he was sick but of the things his mind had been thinking. He watched the brunette walk over and took a deep breath... waiting to get a remark of some sort. He was shocked though when Sora bowed and.... asked him to dance.

The silverette couldn't help but chuckle before looking back at Sora and then his hand. He lifted his hand slowly before gently taking the brunettes. "I'd love to.... Sora Holani."

[Reno]

Tidus smiled sadly shaking his head. "Ah... I see." there was a pause as he turned on one of the main roads. "Well you know, take it from me! Trust me, I'm an expert on messing things up. No matter how big you blow it, there's always a way to make things up."


Terra smiled as he heard who had won, clapping as well. He had shared quite a few classes with both of them over the years. He had actually known Laguna thanks to his brother Zack (who had made friends with Laguna's older brother Squall). A total opposite to his stuck up brother that was for sure.

The students on the dance floor made a small circle for the two to give them some room while Roxas took the stage. He smiled out on the ground - hearing Ven and Axel nearby. His cheeks darkened and he waved weakly to them. Unfortunately this stage didn't have bright lights to hide everyone away. It was okay though, because no one was going to watch him sing - they were going to dance.

He looked over at the DJ and nodded. A soft instrumental started to play.

"Well..." Terra said, glancing at Ven expectantly. At least THIS dance wasn't impossibly embarrassing. The blond gave him a look and the brunette scoffed, taking the other's waist in his hands and bringing him close. "Come on idiot even I know how to do this..."


Sora smiled as Riku accepted, his fingers curling around the other's and without a word he tugged the other out the door and onto a secluded spot on the dance floor just as the music started. He smiled up at Riku as he clasped their hands together and put his other around Riku's waist as the other placed his other on his shoulder even though he was getting a curious look.
"Hey I asked you to dance so I get to lead." He teased with a smile just as his brother's voice began to resonate over the floor.


"Late at night when allllll the world... is sleeping,
I stay up and think of yooooou.
And I wish on a star, that somewhere you are
Thinking of me too...." The blonde sang softly, smiling as Axel shoved his way to the front and lent against the stage, looking up at him with a grin. It was as if... he was singing to Axel.

He took a breath and his voice got stronger a little faster and more whimsical.
"Cause I'm dreeeeaming of you tonight.
Till tomorrow, I'll be holding you tight!
And there's nowhere in the world, I'd rather beeeeeeeee,
Than here in my room dreaming about you and meeeeeeeeeeeee."

Sora smiled as he led Riku across their small space of floor slowly, looking up into the other's aquamarine eyes. Even though they were surrounded on all sides by people he could almost imagine he and Riku were the only two people in the world... it was nice to pretend...
