Riku nodded and smiled slightly. He was glad that they were alright too. He slowly looked back at the other, seeing Sora looking at an odd stone. He wondered what they were doing.
Goofy rubbed his head as he looked at the stone as well. It only seemed to shine when Ven touched it. What did that mean? He blinked as he heard the mouse talk and slowly put his hat back on his head. Did that mean that Ventus was the new Dragoon??
Ven blinked as the stone was tossed to him and fumbled over it with his hands. He didn't want it to drop and get busted after all. He looked down at it, seeing the dragon again. Why couldn't Sora see it? He frowned as he looked up when the king started to talk.
He looked back at Aqua and frowned even more.
Slowly he stood and smiled slightly. "We can all help!"
It was the least they could do right... after all.. they all had that happy ending... except her.
Axel shook his head and slowly tried to stand. "Guess we'll have to work on that now!" He poked the blonde on the nose and smiled.

Terra looked at the stone warily. He didn;t like that... not at all. However - at Ven's blatant volunteerism his ears fell. He didn't know anything about funerals! Well okay he knew Atterian funeral but that like weddings had... a lot to do with blood and even though Xigbar was an Atterian he doubted Aqua wanted to know and uh well. He was getting himself confused now.
Sora smiled as well, nodding enthusiastically. "Yeah it'll be the best one ever!"
Roxas glanced at Axel then back towards the group and sighed. "...Joy." He wasn;t sure he could keep up with his brothers' enthusiasm here. It was STILL a funeral.

"Who the hell are you?" Was the first thing out of Aqua's mouth when the strange brunette walked through her clothes. "And why the fuck are you wearing a skirt?"
The man before her crossed his arms, rolling his eyes. "Terra. Name's Terra. You know the wolf with horns?"
Aqua stared at him incredulously, then burst into laughter. "You mean to tell me under all that ugly ass fur you actually looked CUTE!?"
The brunette's eye twitched and he scoffed.
"Haha That stil haha doesn't ansewer why you're wearing haha a skirt!"
"THEY'RE PANTS DAMN IT!"
Safe to say, during the preparations for the funeral everyone got a good laugh out of 'Atterian' style clothing as Terra claimed it to be. Well he HAD to go and get some clothes somehow - and he personally liked the Atterian style no matter what everyone else said!
As Aqua said the ritual was BIG. Once Xigbar had been buried under ground there were sacrifices and hymns, people from all over town went too the temple to pray for Regole and Xigbar, firewors were set off, there was singing and dancing and oh so many things...
Roxas helped with the singing of course - even if he nearly fainted doing it and Demyx was by his side, playing the sitar of course. Axel, Riku and Sora did a lot of the dancing. Mickey supplied the fireworks - and Donald the means of firing them off.
There was also another strange part of the ritual - like most graves Xigbar was given a headstone - however, the headstone was highly decorated. The back of it had the wings of his old armor suit - and engraved on the front of it was his name and a snake-like dragon - which Aqua had to paint blue. She said that by painting it Regole will be able to lead Xigbar off to the promised land - or something like that.
The day after the celebration was all well and down a new guardian had to be found. And though people were linining up at Aqua's door she was continiously turning them down - without even giving them a chance to find a stone.
"I don;t get it." Sora finally spoke up that afternoon. "Do you like have some inner sense that tells you whose the next one?"
Aqua chuckled. "Please Sora, I'm not that talented."
"Then why?" the brunette asked, even more baffled.
"Because Regole already chose the next one - he just has to acknowledge it."
"Well uh... then let's go make him!" Sora said determinedly.
Aqua chuckled bitterly. "I don;t think you understand the implications of that Sora." She didn;t want to tell them that Ven was the next chosen one... the three boys had been trying to get back together since this whole mess with them started - now they were going to have to learn that nothing would ever be the same again?
Then again she didn;t know what would happen if Ven refused the position. She never heard of a dragoon whor efused to be guardian... but if he did would Regole chose another? She glanced over towards the blonde who was with Terra inside HER kitchen... and what the hell were they doing?!
Her eye twitched. "TERRA!"
"WHAT?!" The Atterian called back, licking his lips. He had flour all down his shirt and batter on his nose and lips - obviously he was trying to eat it - and a spoon in one hand, a bowl in the other.
"What the fuck ARE you doing to my kitchen?"
"Making... muffins?" He explained half-heartedly, licking the spoon.

Ven smiled as he looked up at the fireworks. It had been a long time since he saw them. Way too long. He leaned on Terra, who was now in his human form and smiled. His wings were gone, put away back into him to keep the power stored.
Saix sat loyally next to the blonde who had taken such good care of him. His tail wagged as he watched the fire explode in the air. He panted happily and licked the blonde's cheek.
"OH! THAT ONE IS MY FAVORITE. NO, NO! THAT ONE! THAT ONE!" Axel smiled happily as he pointed at all the fireworks as they watched them. He LOVED fireworks.
The fireworks reflected off the silverette's eyes as they exploded in the sky. He looked down slightly at the brunette Shee, seeing he was having a good time too.
Goofy was positioning the rockets before Donald put them aflame. There were some instances that they exploded before they got into the air... but no one got hurt. It was just a comical act where everyone turned black from the smoke.
The best part was... it wasn't a sad funeral. It was more of a happy one. The one where they honored his life living... not the knowledge of him dead. It was a lot like the Shee's funerals...
The next day, there was some laughter in the small kitchen. Everything was poor class, but flour puffed up and around. "Stop that! I won't be able to do anything!" The blonde growled as he grabbed the spoon from the man and continued to stir.
Riku smiled but sighed, pushing himself off the wall he was leaning on and walked towards Aqua, Sora, Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
"Well..." He started as he looked at them all. "I suppose we should figure out what we should do next." There he went off again with his wise understanding. They just couldn't dally around.
He looked down at Sora and smiled. "I'm sure Bryna and Sirocco are worried sick about you."
A wolf panted as he ran across a field and leaped up, catching a stick in his mouth.
"WOO!" Axel smiled and clapped as the wolf came back and dropped the stick at Roxas's feet. It was his turn to throw it after all.

"B-But!" Terra stammered with a pout. "It tastes so good!" He whined, setting down the bowl and hugging the blonde, licking his cheek playfully. "Mmm so do you." The fireworks had been something exciting for him last night - he'd never been so close to them before. Akbar set them off eveyr balloon festival though - and he and axel (cause Riku couldn;t SEE then) watched them from a distance.
Aqua watched the two dully, shaking her head. God, they better not destroy anything fucking... lovebirds. She looked away from the sight. God she didn;t think she WANTED to live with the two of them for the rest of her life.
The fireworks had been quite a show for them too. Sora still remebered curling up against the silverette's side as the colorful lights burst into the air. He looked up at Riku's words and his eyes grew a bit clouded as he remembered his parents - still patiently waiting for him back home. "Yeah... they are." He bit his lip, glancing over to where his brother nad Terra were playfully trying to make muffins - and failing thanks to Terra. And Roxas was outside playing with Saix with Axel and Demyx...
"But I dont think anyone's ready for this to end." He mumbled softly. How could they just... go back home? Go back to school after missing an ENTIRE year? Knowing... that they had wings now, knowing they weren;t like everyone else?
"Welp," Mickey said softly, "Then I suppose Ven has nothing to worry about."
"...Huh?" Sora asked confused.
Mickey glanced at Aqua who just looked away. She obviously didn;t want to address the issue at all. Then he looked at Sora and sighed. "Only one who will become a guardian can see a dragon through a dragoon stone."
Sora blinked, and everyone could visibly SEE the gears turning in the brunette's head as he processed this information. Then suddenly his eyes went wide as suacers and turned sharply towards Aqua. "... You mean... the next guardian is..."
Aqua frowned, nodding slowly.
Sora opened and shut his mouth wordlessly - before he got up suddenly and rushed out of the house, ignoring anyone who called his name.
"Did he have to know?" Aqua said softly.
Mickey nodded wisely. "Hiding the truth only makes it harder Aqua. No matter how painful it is."
Demyx sighed, sitting on the ground, just waiitng for his turn. It was a lovely day - the winds were pleasant, the smell of the earth fresh, the sound of the waves calming. So... perfect.
Roxas chuckled a bit, grabbing the stick. "Alright, alright." He was lifitng it, getting ready to throw it when suddenly -
"Roxas! ROXAS!!" The blonde blinked, glancing over and was suddenly tackled to the ground.
"GAH! Sora what the hell?!" The blonde burst out as he fell to the ground the stick falling from his grasp. He grabbed onto his brother's shoulder about to throw him off when he noticed something unsettling. He was crying. "W-What's the matter?!"
"V-Ven... he can't come home with us!" The brunette said, tears running down his face.
"What are you talking about?! Odf course he is!" Roxas said, trying to get up but the brunette refused to budge. The blonde sighed hugging his brother. "Jeez whats got you all worked up?"

Ven growled as he felt the arms around him. He blushed though when he felt the tongue on his cheek and looked back. He blinked as he saw Terra's face a mess with all the batter and grinned. "Sure I do~" He licked the batter off the man's nose and grinned.
Slowly he leaned in and pressed their lips together, his mouth opening slightly so they could both enjoy the taste of the sweet.
Neither of them noticed what was going on in the next room.
Riku's eyes widened... but not because Ven being a guardian. Sora. He watched the boy jolt off and quickly ran after him too. "SORA!"
Goofy rubbed his head and frowned. "Gwarsh, I'm sure Ven can still go home for a day right?"
Saix barked happily as he lowered, ready to spring up and catch the stick when Roxas threw it... but little did he know, he was in the line of being fallen on. He yipped and ran off next to Demyx.
Axel blinked as he watched Sora slam into Roxas. What was going on?
"SORA!"
He looked back, seeing Riku rushing towards them. Great... NOW WHAT!?
Riku stopped his running and sighed as he came up to the two boys. He sighed again and looked at Axel then back at the two. "Sora... calm down...." He knelt down and rubbed the boy's back where Roxas's arms weren't wrapped around him. "He can still come back."

Terra grinned slyly at the lick he was given and chuckled as there lips were pressed together. "Mmm..." He hummed, his eyes sliding shut as he returned to kiss, their tounges dancing together sensually. He ran his fingers through the blonde mess of hair, humming as he deepened the kiss. Yum, Yum Ventus tasted so good~
Aqua just shook her head. "It won;t be the same though." She whispered. "I don't.. want to tear him away from his life..."
Donald frowned. "Ah..." He glanced over at where Sora and Riku had both left from, shaking his head.
Sora sobbed again. "It won;t be the same Riku! He can;t come to school with us or sleep in our house... no more dinner together no more..." He buried his head into his brother's neck, shaking his head. "He was supposed to come home with us!!"
Roxas blinked, still completely lost. "Uh... S-Sora...?"
"Ven... is supposed to be the enxt guardian for Regole..." Sora whispered.
Roxas eyes widened. "What?! You CAN;T be serious! Ven couldn;t guard a fucking fly!!!" He laughed - but it wasn;t a happy one. It was more of a nervous and disturbed laugh. "Come on Sora, stop joking around..." He looked at Riku for comfirmation. This WAS all a joke right?
Demyx sat up when he heard all the commotion, and he reached out, petting Saix soothingly. He blinked as he listened to the two boys, and was utterly baffled. What were they TALKING about?

Ven tried his best to keep the bowl in his hand as they continued and slowly pulled away. He whipped his mouth with the arm in which he held the spoon and grinned up at the Atterian. "Well... it tasted a lot better than the worms~" he joked but blinked when he noted that he couldn't hear his brother anymore.
He placed the bowl on the counter and walked out, looking at everyone with long faces.
"H-hey... what's going on?"
Riku sighed and looked back at Roxas, nodding to him for reinsurance. Sora wasn't joking around... unfortunately. He was going to say that they could visit any time. Shee had the power to make portals right?
But he knew... it wasn't the same.
"Sora... I'm sure there's a way to make it so everyone is happy."
Axel scratched his head and caught Demyx's glance. He gave the blonde a shrug and continued to watch from afar.

Terra blinked then laughed at the absurd comparsion. ANYTHING tasted better then the worms. He blinked though when he noticed the almost awkward silence coming from the next room and like the loyal guardian he was he came up beside the blonde, looking into the room and nearly tasting the solemnty that surronded it.
His eyes narrowed mistrustfully - what was going on...?
Mickey looked up and over at the blonde who had finally caught wind of what was going on - or at least was beginning to sense something amiss.
Donald glanced over also, looking at the boy sadly. Ven had, apparently from how Mickey had described it, adjusted the worst to the change - shockingly. A lot of that had to do with Terra and his attitude - but there was some that had to do with... well... just being away.
Aqua looked up at Ven, seeing the look of confusion and blissful unawareness on his face, and was unable to keep the look of guilt off her face. She glanced at Terra who was looking more and more agitated and protective by the seocnd as if getting ready for some bad news. Did he... know?
Roxas stared quietly as Riku COMFIRMED it... no... no way that meant...
The blonde felt fury spark within him and he snarled, suddenly, yet gently, pushing his brother up and into Riku's arms. He stood up and started back for the house walking swiftly and though the wings did not sprout from his back one could almost imagine their presence, large and imposing and powerfully commanding.
He curled his fingers up, forming tight fists. If Axel was following him he didn;t know and frankl;y at this point it was irrelvent. He didn;t need Axel to follow his every move anymore - he was safe now.
Demyx blinked in shock at the sudden... outburst? What WOULD one call Roxas' reaction? Silent protest? Whatever it was it was kinda scary... for such a little guy he sure did have the air of leadership in hm.
No one ever got the chance to answer Ven. It was almost scary how easily the fury of a Shee could be felt. But everyone looked towards the doorway as one and not thirty seconds later Roxas stepped through, his blue eyes ablaze as he swept over the room for the one he wanted to yell at.
They smoldering blue landed on Aqua. He stamped over to her, grabbed her wrist and practically snapped her from her chair as he dragged her outside.
"H-HEY! LET ME THE FUCK GO!" Were her protests - ignored of course.
The blonde took her nearly half-way across the field before he stopped and turned on her. "You're not taking my brother away from us. You hear me?"
"Hey I don't tell Regole who to choose y'know!" Awua said crossing her arms indignantly. "If she wants Ven then he'll have to deal with that."
Roxas growled. "Listen I'm sorry alright I'm sorry you and Xigbar got mixed up in all this but Ven didn't agree from the kindness of his heart to help out only to get smacked in the face about it a day later for his efforts!" He crossed his arms.
"Well I don;t know what you want me to do about it!"
Roxas grit his teeth, then something around Aqua's forehead caught his attention. The blue stone of Regole's in a headband?
He reached out, snapping it from her head and he shook it mercilessly growling down at it. "Damn it WHY HIM?! Come you damn dragon look at me! He's staying with US do you got that?!" Why was everyone so against Ven being happy? Mom and dad were, his teachers were, Terra was, Xehanort was and now some REPTILE!? Why did everything just seem to go so wrong for him...? Damn it Roxas didn't want it to happen again. And if he could prevent it, he would.
"H-Hey stop it!" Aqua burst out, and reached out, wrestling for the headband, but the blonde was incredibly stubborn and determined. But the stone stayed as it was - cold and unresponsive. It would not respond to him.

Ven frowned as everyone stayed quiet. What was with this fucking silent shit!? Didn't ANYONE know how to deliver bad news anymore? Was it a talent or something?
He felt the possessiveness power next to him and looked up, seeing a look in Terra's eyes. Did he know anything about this?
Riku blinked as he got his hands full of the brunette Shee. He looked up and watched the blonde march back to the house. He was pretty hot tempered to be a prince. He had to question those wings of balance. Slowly he looked back down at Sora who still had tears coming down his face.
"It's alright Sora. You won't lose your brother ok?"
Saix whimpered and hit behind Demyx as the power of the angry Shee ran through the field.
Axel blinked and quickly rushed behind the prince. "Hey Rox! Wait up!" It seemed that the blonde didn't acknowledge him at all. Ah! Not this silent treatment again. He followed the blonde all the way up to the house but squeaked when Roxas swung the door open. He looked around and decided to hide behind the side of the house.
Ven's eyes widened as his identical triplet stomped in and YANKED the woman from her chair.
"Gwarsh!" The dog exclaimed as he watched the blonde pull the woman out of the house.
Ven's eyes narrowed as he suddenly dashed out of the house as well, after them.
He stopped not too far away from where Roxas started to go on an outbreak. His eyes widened even more... as he realized what was going on.
Regole wanted him to be the next Dragoon.
"HEY!"
There was a scream all of a sudden that made some birds fly from the trees.
Ven's face was red and his eyes dark.
"Did anyone think of asking how the FUCK I felt about this? Why didn't anyone tell me!?" He stomped, his anger boiling. HE wanted to know the bad news before his brothers... now Sora was crying and Roxas was pissed off.
"Do you mind telling me why you made my brother's upset before I knew about this!?"

Sora sniffled and nodded, burying his head in the other's neck. "I hope your right Ri..." He whispered, but when he started to hear yelling the brunette looked up curiously, seeing Roxas not to far off, seriously biting the woman's head off.
The small Shee's eyes widened - Roxas always got like that though. Really protective of them, which was kinda funny since he was the youngest and all. That was also his way of dealing with anything - Roxas never tried to let his real emotions show so he hid them behind anger.
The next thing he knew, Ven was coming onto the scene - yelling as well. And he looked as unhappy as they did at this point...
Demyx frowned, trying to take in all the new information at once - something he was failing at rather badly. He reached up, running his fingers soothingly down Saix's side, trying to keep the wolf calm even as more yelling ensured. From what he gathered and understood, Ventus wasn't coming home cause... he had to guard the dragon here? But why Ventus? Did that even make sense, inviting the strongest of creatures to her world that would attract OTHER bad people to her...?
Of course Demyx didn;t know that her power masked Ventus' and in fact this world was the safest one for him.
Terra looked up when Ventus suddenly left his side and he frowned, hurrying after the other. "Ven!" He called, but like Axel with Roxas, the wolf went ignored. He frowned but didn;t hesitate to stay at his side - until he yelled of course. He backed off some then - watching the blonde storm over to his other brother and Aqua, just watching curiously.
Roxas looked up when He heard his brother. "Tch," He sacoffed, throwing the headband on the ground. He crossed his arms sullenly, looking as his brother approached then towards Aqua. Why did they keep it from him...?
Aqua whirled around in a bit of shock - ok no not really she expected Ven to follow. She scoffed gritting her teeth. "Because I didn;t want to be the one to say, Hey Ven, now that you've been gone from home for a whole year, how about an eternity?" She looked away. "I was hoping I could figure a way around it... maybe bargain with Regole to find someone else."

Axel sighed as everyone stormed off. Damnit... he just wanted to start dating Roxas and now all this crap was coming up. He crossed his arms and shook his head. He slowly walked into the house, seeing Mickey, Goofy and Donald inside. Their faces didn't look all to happy.
"Uh... so..."
Axel failed at starting awkward conversations.
Saix slowly laid down on the ground and flattened his ears as much as he could. He was having fun playing catch and now all this.
Riku frowned as he heard everything and looked back with Sora. This looked bad. He slowly stood and helped Sora up. And arm wrapped around the boy and held him close.
Ven growled. "Oh yea. That's fucking great. First I have a normal life, then I find out I had a crazy looking GUARDIAN because I am some sort of strong creature that was getting HUNTED by some ugly looking guy. I get dragged from world to world with some cranky beast and then I end up KILLING..."
He drifted off when he saw her look away. He sighed and looked down. Slowly his eyes closed and shook his head. "I wish you could of just told me. My brother's shouldn't have to go through that kind of pain."
He turned away and rubbed his arm. "I helped Xigbar die. He was chasing after Sora... and I didn't know it was a set up. I hit him pretty bad... maybe if I didn't... he might still be alive." He looked up at the sky and sighed. "I feel like... I owe him this... but... I don't want to stay here. I just want to go home. Life will never be the same... but at least... Akbar is still the same. Maybe if I talk to Regole... she'll reconsider..."
He slowly looked back at her and then moved towards her. He stopped when he was in front of her, his face no longer red with anger. "Besides... maybe you need some time alone after all that's happen. Maybe... you don't need a fellow guardian at this point in time. Because... Xigbar is still with you. Here." He slowly reached out and poked her chest. "In your heart." He pulled away and smiled. "Besides... I don't think I'd make a good guardian... and... well..." He looked back, seeing Terra and smiled. "Terra comes with the package."

Mickey looked up, seeing Axel's sour expresson and chuckled softly. "Don't worry Axel, once this is all figured out Roxas will be all yours." He got a strange look - as if Axel was surprised he knew. "What? I might have big ears but that doesn;t mean my eyes don;t work either."
Donald just chuckled a little, glancing over his shoulder and out the window. It didn;t look too bad...
"It's okay puppy." Demyx softly reassured, petting the wolf between the ears calmly. As cruel as his next though was,he couldn;t help but think it. This whole thing had nothing to do with him OR Saix. If the boys got split up, it wouldn;t effect him much - cause he was just going home too right so he;d never see them again anyways...
Sora sniffled, pressing close against the silverette's side as he listened to the talk further away. He brightened up some as Ventus mentioned about talking to Regole to get her to change her mind. Yeah... yeah they could ALL go. Reole would listen to three prince Shee right? That is if Roxas can keep his temper in check.
'...a crazy looking guardian...' Terra picked up and he growled. "H-Hey!" ...some cranky beast...' "HEY!!!" What the hell?! Verbal assault here!!!
Aqua opened and closed her mouth, wanting to interrupt but not knowing how. She wordlessly listened to the blonde, looking a bit ashamed as he mentioned she should of just come clean. She even blushed a bit.
She looked up as Ventus came closer, quietly listening to him. He was nuts...
Terra scoffed, crossing his arms as Ven looked back at him, looking a little sullen. "Sure, Sure if you can HANDLE a 'crazy-looking, cranky' guardian like me." He looked away, unsure if he was actually upset or just trying to tick Ventus off.
Aqua looked over at Terra and chuckled. "Yeah you right Ven, I wouldn;t want anything like THAT in my house."
"H-Hey!" WAS IS PICK ON TERRA DAY?!
"Listen Ven... It's not your fault Xig died I mean sure... you hit him but... So did Xehanort." She shrugged, looking away. "I don;t make it your bussiness to understand the way fate works and all..." She sighed a bit. "You can go ahead and try and talk with her - I don;t know if she'll listen to you or not but you ARE a prince." She looked towards the ocean contemplatively. "As for... me being alone... yeah maybe." She smiled a little, shrugging. "But only maybe."

Axel's eyes widened and he blushed hard as the KING OF THE UNIVERSE stated that Roxas could be his. He tapped his fingers together and looked around uneasy, even if the king made it seem ok to have a crush on the PRINCE of the Shee. Well... it was more than a crush...
He sighed and shook his head, looking out the window too at the others.
Ven smiled and nodded, looking off at the ocean too. "Then let's go talk to her right now." He looked at Roxas and nodded, than pass the blonde to the brunette with Riku. "Come on! We're going to go talk to Regole!"
He slowly turned back to Terra and grinned, walking up to him and wrapping an arm around the other's. "Come on you 'crazy-looking, cranky' guardian. That dragon just might eat me!"

Roxas blinked, but smiled a little easier and nodded to his identical twin, he turned about to follow when he blinked looking around. Where had Ax...? He looked over his shoulder, seeing a flash of red in the window And shook his head, waving at him, making a motion for him to follow. He wasn't going stay indoors all day was he? He was still AXEL after all.
Sora sniffled a little but smiled as Ven;s sudden enthusiasm. He nodded and wiped his eyes - there was still hope! He looked at Riku, his eyes brave. "Let's go see the dragon!" He giggled.
Terra scoffed a bit, but grumbled under his breath. "Not if I eat her first." He scoffed, poking Ven in the temple.
Sora, suddenly much more hopeful, started for the beach, thinking inquiringly, "So um... how are we gonna get out there to talk to her?"
"I don;t know Sora, lets think about that." Roxas started sarcastically. "We're nothing but a bunch a normal, winged crop of people afterall."
"... shut up Roxas." Sora grumbled, blushing a ltitle. How could he forget?

Axel blinked when he saw the wave and rushed out of the house.
"Gwarsh!" The dog exclaimed once again as he almost got stumbled.
The red head rushed off and down the hill, meeting his said blonde with a large grin.
"Boy, I'm glad you're not angry anymore" He smiled happily as he started to walk with them.
"So, where we goin?"
"To talk to Regole" The other blonde answered as he poked the Atterian back.
"Regole?"
"Yea... the dragon?"
Axel's eyes widened and gulped. "D-d-dragon?" He stuttered as they headed towards the beach. "Uh... I think I left my uh.... my uh...."
Riku rolled his head and pointed at Axel. "Left your guardianship? You might want to go get that?"
Axel frowned and puffed out his chest.
Ven stopped when his feet met the water and looked out. He frowned and looked down at his hand, the stone there since he had picked it up before leaving. He slowly held it up to the sky, watching it glow brightly.
