"we're not so much going to Traverse Town as toward it. the training grounds for rangers is hidden about halfway between TriBalamb and Traverse Town off the path. there, you can train and learn the ways of the rangers without interruption."

she stopped dead in her tracks."wait a minute. since i was 6 i have been studying and training on being a SeeD and now you're telling me that i am going to be a ranger? I thought i was supose to just travel with you. I don't want to be a ranger. they have no use. every town has its own knight. what point does a ranger have? if i knew that i was going to become a ranger, i wouldn't have stayed for the cerimony." she shook her head and placed her hands on her hips.

"well of course you're to become a ranger. that's the whole reason i went on this search. rangers are sorely needed. there my be a knight in each town, but they do not have the skills that we do. and all they can do from their town is defend. if the heartless were to form an army, no town would have a chance to defend itself. we rangers prevent them from doing so. and we also delegate the meetings between knights." he sighed and looked into the distance. "but lately, more and more heartless have been appearing. some think they are massing for an all out war against all the worlds. more towns are being established every year. it is getting increasingly difficult to keep meetings in order. some rangers have even gone missing. so you would be doing a great service to all by becoming a ranger. and you can still use your studies from the SeeD academy. you've obviously studied the surronding area if you knew where we are heading. you can do much more as a ranger. so please come along."

Mirray sighed and continued walking. "i supose stopping heartless from growing into groups is better than exploring the world." she said erritated and frowned.He put the blade away and looked up at the stars that started to show. "those are all different planet, you know. I wounder if anyones been to all of them. i doubt it." she sighed again and looked at Dac. "So, do you have a family or children? i would guess not if you're a ranger. you never seem to stop huh?"

"oh don't you worry, you'll get to explore the worlds. that's part of being a ranger. you go pretty much anywhere. it takes a lot of us to stop a whole army. so we have to be able to travel anywhere in the blink of an eye. that's why all living weapons have the ability to instantly transport it's wielder." when she asked if he had a family, his heart weighed heavy. he had a family at one point, but they were long dead. "no, i don't have a family....and what do you mean i never seem to stop?" he got defensive. "do you need to rest?"

Mirray frowned. "No, i'm just saying that a ranger's life is quite busy. it seems like you wouldn't have time for a family, unlike the knights." she could tell that dac was heart in some way and the blade started ringing again. she looked around but there didn't seem to be a heartless anywhere. She sighed and looked at him. "can i ask you a question. besides me becoming a ranger, did you just want company? you seem lonely." she smiled and put her hand on his shoulder.

he chuckled. "yeah, i guess that was part of it. i've just been alone for so long. too long." he looked at her and realized that her hand was on his shoulder. he nervously shrugged it off. and continued on. "anyways, he should get going. it's important that we get you trained and ready as soon as possible."

She sighed and walked along side Dac. It was getting dark in the woods nad the birds grew silent. She looked up to see that the treetops were blocking the stars. It was her first time out of the walls of TriBalamb. The air was different out here. Everything was different out here. The grass was greener, the flowers seemed more real. The sky even looked different. She wondered if Irvine would ever see this outside world. She wondered if she'd ever see him again. They come out to a clearing and she saw a small stream of smoke coming from the meadows. "I guess that's the camp."

Dac looked in the direction she was looking. "no, it's near there though. the training grounds are underground. that must be a group of SeeDs or a caravan." he turned to her. "we rangers keep almost everything we do a secret. especially if it has to do with our fighting techniques. only rangers know the location of the grounds. it is sacrad ground to us. you must never breathe a word of this to anyone."

She nodded and sighed. This wasn't what she had exspected. suddenly the grass started to move and i grabbed the blades handle. then some figure tackled me. I screamed and pulled it off. I took out the blade and pointed it to the figures chest. I blinked and my eyes focused. It was Keoni I sighed and put the blade back. "keoni, never do that again. why the hell are you out her?" Keoni smiled. "I want to travel with you guys. there's something wrong inside my house and i don't want to stay. can i come? PLEASE!?"

Dac saw the child and grabbed him up from Mirray. "don't you know that it's dangerous out here? you could be killed! and you're the resident knight's son. do you have any idea the repercussions if you were to die outside of the city, supposedly in the care of a ranger?!"

"Let me go!" he pushed off of Dac and dusted himslef off. "I'll be fine. i already killed two Heartless out here. I'm old enough you know." he frowned and looked up at Mirray. "C'mon, let me stay."ooc:last post........my dad wants me to go to bed.

ooc: ok. night.  "absolutely not." Keoni whirled around to look at Dac. "there is no way that i would let you come with us. it's more dangerous than even your father can imagine. we have to find a way to get you home as soon as possible." Dac thought for a little bit, but could only come up with one solution. which he did not like at all. he turned back to Keoni. "ok. you'll come with us to where we are going, then i'm going to send you back to Tribalamb with a friend of mine." |

And my father saved this planet even before there were rangers. Without my father, the world wouldn't have regrouped. he and my mother fought on sorce of evil and made it weaker so don't say that my father was ever scared." he frowned and Mirray sighed. His words were true.

Dac had forgotton that. even before the great war, 300 years ago, he and Lumi had fought the source of the heartless. but much time had passed and things were different. "i never said he was scared. but even though your father fought the source all that time ago, he still can't know all of what's goning on out in the world. the heartless are constantly changing and growing stronger. even compared to the great war 300 years ago, these heartless are far supeirior. if you don't want to stay in TriBalamb your whole life, train to be a SeeD. and that is the end of it." he turned to continue down the path when he suddenly realized something. he whirled back around to face Keoni. "what do you mean, you don't feel safe?"
