Ken was hit hard with the spell and collapsed on the bed.
Mako squaked and started to peck at the woman. What did she do to him!?

Again, the hours pushed on and on till the cresent moon shown through the window. The wind blew at the window as if it was cold itself and wished to come in and get warm.
Ken had placed a final blanket in his small pouch of a backpack. He must leave, Midgar was calling for him in his sleep. "Come mako, be quiet." he spoke under his breath.
Mako walked to his master and pushed the window open.

"Hey!" He yelled as he started to climb from the window. "Please let me leave, I have a journey to make ok? You can't just keep me here." As his feet it the burning snow, Mako jumped out and flexed his feathers. Ken tugged at mako's reins and pulled himself up ontop of the bird, hugging his fur coat close to his body.
