Traveling from the Northern Cave Center down towards the Icicle Inn wasn't a smart idea. Especially if one doesn't have a map.
Ken took this chance however. With Mako's harness rope clenched tightly in his right hand. The large Bird walked through the deep snow, keeping his eyes on his master.
Ken was shivering, hugging the fur coat close to him as his insalated boots wrapped around his frostbitten feet. His blue, chipped lips shivered as he walked slowly through the snow. His eyelashes were frosted with snowflakes as it snowed slightly.
He was looking for Midgar, the place where fighters get the chance to find a way into the ring. Ken wasn't a fighter, but he had the note of his dead father that kept him going towards it. If anyone finds that he is of ShinRa blood, he would be killed. He was afraid but, more loyal then scared.
His black hair that poked from his fur hood was also frosted with the snow. He didn't know how far he had traveled...but not far enough. He was lost. The only comfort he had was the small warmth from Mako.
The bird looked down at Ken and nudged him softly. Ken looked above and gave Mako a quant smile and reached up, rubbing Mako's beak. "Good boy. Don't worry, I'm fine." which was a lie, he was freezing inside out. The fur coat wasn't strong enough to keep his body warm. He could no longer feel his fingers, like they might break any minute.
It wasn't long when Ken tripped over the coat and landed face-first in the burning snow. He pushed himself up but fell as his shivering arms let go of strengh. Mako squacked as he sat next to Ken and nudged him once more. Ken looked at the bird with one eye open. "Get help Mako...before i freeze to death."
But the loyal bird wouldn't leave Ken's side. Mako wrapped his yellow wing over his freezing friend, hopeing that it would warm him some. He pulled his head high in the air and started to squak for help...someone else must be out here.
