[Reno]

"you're going to travel from an ice continent.... to Midgar?" she laughed, "nice try. you could styay here if you like."

[Ken]

His cheeks grew a slight hint of rose. "oh, i guess Midgar is further than I thought. Well, my father wants me to return to Midgar, that was his wish before he died a horrible death along with my mother. I, I can't just stop now. I must have just been going in the wrong direction. People keep telling me not to go there, and won't give me the direction to head." He glanced at mako and took a breath. "You see, I was raised on a small Chocobo ranch. The people who raised me were my parents and my late grandfather, who looked like he never had a bit of life in him. We never moved, never traveled. So please don't look at me as if i'm a fool, I admit that i have no idea what the world is like or where anything is."

[Reno]

she looked at him silently then sighed, "but why do your eyes glow then?"

[Ken]

His heart had skipped in place, as if he tripped in a game of jump-rope. He suddenly looked away, making his black hair fall over his eyes. "they don't glow...you must be seeing things."

Mako looked at his master oddly. Was there something wrong?

[Reno]

Eve walked up to him grabbing his face looking straight in his eyes, "liar. i know mako when i see it. i see it in my own eyes every day. In Rinas and Diana's. you can't lie to me."

[Ken]

"I don't know what you're talking about miss, but there is nothing in my eyes. And if there was, what is it to you? I know nothing of...ShinRa."

mako squaked as he heard his name.

[Reno]

"it doesn;t matter wehat you know i'm just curious. i'm not part of ShinRa in fact i'm there prey. and, you know of it you liar. you know its name you know the area and apparently they are after you, so don;t give me crap." Eve let him go standing.

Rina sighed from the doorway, "whos you're family kid?"

[Ken]

He looked at rina at the door. "I am not a kid, I'm 23 years old and I can't give out that information to anyone." Then glancing at Eve. "what do you mean they're looking for me? No one has been following me or even coming up to me, asking me any odd questions. I think youhave the wrong person."

Mako nudged his master, feeling how uneasy he was.

[Reno]

"sure..." Eve smirked standing and walked out.

"hmm... well kid you seem fimilar is all." Rina said and followed her sister.

[Ken]

what kind of world did you bring me into? you're making me chase a story that I've never read the beginning of. Who do i trust? Who don't I trust? But that can wait for later, I'm straving.

"hey! may i have some hot food?" His voice was too weak to project a shout, so his 'hey' broke in the middle of being said.

[Reno]

luckily both mako enhanced ears caught it.

"Rina you know how to cook."

"Sure!" Rina called back and nodded to Eve following her into the kitchen, "some soup is what he needs." she got out a pot.

"so what do you make of it?" Eve questioned.

"definitly Mako." Rina said started to boil water, "and it has to be either a turk or first class. its passed down mako and a lot of it it can only be those two groups. only they have that muc of it in them."

"yes but who?" Eve said leaning back against a wall.

"Strife... Valentine... Tseng could of had one... maybe even Zack? i don;t know Eve. i'm leaning towards a turk though."

"so Valentine or Tseng?" Eve said.

"yes. they are the only ones who seem old enough."

[Ken]

He fell back down on the bed, being careful not to bump it again on the headboard. "What am i going to do mako? I don't know who to trust. I'm sure they won't let me go this easy and maybe I don't want them to. They did say that i was being hunted. But how would they know? maybe they already caught me. why coun't I just be normal? Live a normal life and stuff, but no, after the death of my family, they give me this life that i don't want. What's in Migar anyway? Did they set me up?" He took a sigh, not knowing where this path was taking him into life.

mako also took a breath and laid down next to the bed.

[Reno]

"hmph... gagueing from his quick response not to say anything, i;d say hes a Valentine. i mean he seemed almost... ashamed of it." Eve said thoughtfully.

"yeah... he looks more like him too. i mean... not too much Wutain at all." Rina said, "so Vincent had a kid eh?"

"interesting..." Eve said.

"heh, wonder what dad would say about that."

Eve grinned at the though. Hojo wouldn;t of been happy... if he was still around that is...

[Ken]

He frowned, not knowing what to do anymore. Maybe he should tell them, so they could tell him what this whole chasing thing was all about. it frightened him greatly.

[Reno]

when the soup was ready Rina poured a bowl and also got a plate of greens for the chocobo.

when they walked back she set the plate of greens down next to the chocobo and set the bowl of soup on the night stand, "careful... its hot." Rina joked.

Eve sat down on a trunk in her room and sighed, studying the man, "we never had a proper introduction."
