Terra's eyes narrowed as he realized what the red-head was doing. there were many ways to increase the vitality of attacks. Just like he had gotten closer to the sun for Leafeon's solar beam to be extra-powerful Typhlosion was getting closer to Mightyena to have the earthquake hurt worse.
"And with some quick speed Typholsion dodged that Dark Pulse attack... and is now using an earthquake attack at close quarters! Mightyena seems to be taking quite some damage from it and with Taunt still in effect she has no way to protect herself!!"
"YEAH GO AXEL!" Roxas cheered. "KICK HIS ASS!"
Sora laughed watching the battle closely. Something about Terra's words worried him some...
"Mightyena concentrate!" Terra called over the shaking. Mightyena grit her teeth as the attack ran through her, making her limbs feel weak and momentarily forget her rage. Her blue eyes narrowed, watching the smug little bastard run past her once.... twice-
She struggled to hold her ground and opened her mouth as he came around the third time another swirling mass of purple flying from her mouth and smacking into the fire type hard just as he came in front of her.

Axel was watching intensely as he watched Typhlosion continuing the attack. The pokemon's red eyes were watching the wolf, a grin on his face as he ran around and around and---
"TY! WATCH OUT!"
"TY!?"
The Pokemon was suddenly hit and went flying once more. "Stop your fall!" His back feet skid into the sand to stop him from getting more damage. With a huff, he stood back onto his hind legs and shook his head, the fire going out on his back.
"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" The fire pokemon roared as the flames came back.
"Hurry! Use Focus Blast quick!"
Typhlosion saw that the wolf was still recovering and trying to move as before he closed his eyes and started to glow. His inner strength started to swell into his mouth before he opened it and sent a powerful blast at the wolf.

"and that dark pulse hits home but Typhlosion makes a stunning recovery and comes back with a focus blast attack!!"
Mightyena shook her head some, trying to get the feel back into her legs after that attack. It had offset her balance. Terra's head inclined at the attack name, recognizing it well. He looked back towards his wolf and noticed she was still struggling to walk - there would be no running from this attack.
That was fine. "Mightyena, aim dark pulse towards the top edge of that beam!" The blue eyes snapped open as the area started to glow white and she opened her mouth. "YEEEENA!!" She cried, raised her head high and the pulsing dark circles flew out once more and smashed onto the top of the beam. Seconds later it appeared to hit her and the force of the attack rose a large dust cloud.
There was a howl of pain from the wolf in the smoke.
Roxas winced at the pain-filled noise.
"Oh and that focus blast seemed to of gotten a direct it! This might be it for Mightyena!"
Terra's eyes narrowed slowly, and chuckled darkly as he crossed his arms. Yeah right. "Giga impact!" He called.
There was a shine of blue eyes from the smoke and then out from the smoke pounced the russet and golden wolf right over the fire Pokemon. Streams of the dust cloud followed after her, but they quickly turning bright yellow with power. Between the streams a purple aura appeared, surrounded her as she dived for the other.

Axel's eyes widened as he heard the call. Why would he do that!?
He too had to wince when he heard the howl of the wolf, the dust making he squint his eyes.
On the other end, the fire pokemon panted a bit as he shook his head. The dust from the explosion made him squint as well, but he knew the wolf wasn't down yet.
At the call, Axel grit his teeth. "Ty! Brace yourself! Bring in your flames get on your fours!"
The pokemon growled as he saw the powerful attack heading right to him. The ring of fire around his neck and shoulders went out as he got down onto all fours.
He grit his teeth and closed his eyes just as the wolf hit.
The crowd gasped as the impact hit and the volcano pokemon went flying through the air. He flew a few yards before falling hard, dust coming up around him.
Axel swallowed as he watched the pokemon. "Come on, Ty...."
"Ty...." The fire pokemon shifted, whimpering as he slowly started to get up.
"That's it, Ty! Come on! Bring those flames out!"
The volcano pokemon panted as he got back on all fours and then pushed himself back onto his hunches. He was really hurting but the minute he heard his trainer...
"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" He roared once more, the flame coming back that had helped him brace the attack. Now they were burning even higher as the pokemon went into Blaze mode.
Axel smiled and looked at Mightyena, knowing that she would have to recover because of that last attack.
"Quick Ty! Use Fire Wheel and take her out!"
"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!" The pokemon roared before he suddenly dash out and spin in midair, flames suddenly encasing him. He hit the ground and started to roll towards the wolf at a high speed.
The flames suddenly burst out, setting everything on fire that it touched as Blaze made his fire attack twice as strong.
The flames encased the wolf even before the pokemon hit head on.

Mightyena grinned as she hit down on the other and sent him flying. She winced when she landed on her paws but tossing her head as the attack disappeared around her, panting some. Her front legs were hurting thanks to that focus blast.
"I don't believe it, by using dark pulse to redirect the focus of that blast, Mightyena managed to take less damage because of it and come back with a powerful, Giga Impact that hit head on. Now Typholision is struggling to get up!"
Terra watched the procession on the other side calmly, as the Pokemon struggled sighing some. Maybe this was going to be easier than he thought...
"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
His eyes snapped open, losing his cool for the first time. "What?!"
"Mi!!" Cried the wolf in panic as the volcano Pokemon stood again and in his eyes she could see the flames burning strong. She whimpered some.
Terra cursed under his breath, remembering what this Pokemon's special ability was. Just like that Charizard... "Brace yourself!"
"Oh it looks like all these attacks have forced Typhlosion into his blaze mode! His fire based attacks will be twice as powerful now!!"
"Alright!" Sora and Roxas cheered as Typhlosion started to make a furious come back.
Mightyena grit her teeth as the flames came towards her, her body seizing up as the attack came. She howled in pain as the flames hit her hard and then a body slammed into her. She was flung backwards and slammed hard into the ground nearby her master's feet.
Terra looked down at her as if surprised she was there. Across the way the fire-type pulled out of his flame wheel, still in blaze mode. "Mightyena?"
The wolf slowly opened her eyes and tried to struggle to her feet and whimpered as pain raced up her feet, falling back down. She looked up at him, her ears falling down before she laid down her head and sighed.
Terra smiled reaching down and running his fingers tenderly along the top of her head. He knew she hated to lose, since she was the only female and always felt like she was last in the strength department. "It's alright. You did great." It was to everyone's shock when he recalled her and the ding sounded.
Terra had finally lost one Pokemon in the battle.
"GOOOO AXEL!" Roxas cheered.
"And what a record breaking battle this is for Terra!" The announcer cried. "Axel is the first to take out any of his Pokemon and on his first try too!"
The brunette chuckled looking towards Axel. "Not bad..." He looked at the still furious Typhlosion and reached for his next Pokemon. "Go, Leafeon!"
In a flash of light the tan and green fox appeared, flipped his leaf tail proudly.
"And what a mistake this choice seems to be! Though Leafeon made an amazing fight against a shiny Charizard back on the water field, this time there's nowhere for it to escape to if Typhlosion starts used its flames! And with it still blazing strong and mad, this battle not not last long at all!"

The volcano pokemon continued to pant but a smirk ran over his face as he heard a ding and the crowd went wild. That was a pretty good boost of self esteem there... but he knew now that he was in Blaze mode, he didn't have much strength left.
He looked over towards Terra, like his master to see what the next Pokemon would be... and to their shock it was... a LEAFEON!?
"Tyyyy?" The fire pokemon tilted his head n question. He's joking.... right?
On the other side of the arena, Axel frowned. Why would he choose Leafeon...
He had a bad feeling about this, knowing Terra had something up his sleeve.
"Ty! Do you want to continue!?"
"TYYYYYYYYY!" The Pokemon roared in answer.
"Alright! Use Fire Wheel one last time!"
"TYYYYYYYY!" The fire Pokemon roared before leaping out and spinning again, hitting the ground and the fire once more doubled in power as he headed for the grass pokemon.

Roxas' eyebrows furrowed at the confusing choice and felt confidant for Axel when his ordered another flame wheel but beside him he heard Sora take a deep breath.
"What?"
"Terra's got him."
"Leafeon jump over him!"
"Leee!" Cried the fox, and charged forward, giving a powerful jump as the fireball flew right under him. He landed and quickly turned around.
"Back up."
The fox started to move backwards as the flaming ball turned and started to come back for him. Just as the other came close enough to hit Leafeon disappeared. Down a little ridge of uneven ground... caused by the earthquake Typhlosion himself had caused.
"Sword Dance!" Terra called.
Just as the ball passed over where Leafeon went missing, a spinning fox smacked into him and Typhlosion went flying in the air!
"Solar Beam!"
"Leeeeee!" He opened his mouth, "EON!!!" A powerful blast shot from his mouth and hit the fire Pokemon hard. No charge needed thanks to his diet.

Axel's eyes narrowed as he heard the order, seeing the Pokemon jump over. Even still, some of the flames licked at him but didn't seem to do much damage. The fire pokemon wheeled around, turning and heading towards the pokemon that... wasn't there.
Axel didn't even bother to warn him... it was too late.
"TYYYYYYYYYYYY!" The pokemon called in pain as he was suddenly shot into the sky, the flames disbursing as he flew.
"NINE!" The fox next to him called, seeing Leafeon shoot out a solar beam.
"PHLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Typhlosion cried out more as he was hit, the power making him fly off quicker and right as he was about to hit the ground hard, his disappeared.
Recalled by his pokeball.
The bell rang and the crowd went wild. It was now five on five.
Axel looked down and frowned, trying to figure out who would be best for his next choice...
Someone with speed....
He grabbed his third pokeball and threw it out.
"You can do it, Rapidash!"
When the energy formed, a beautiful unicorn with fire as her mane and tail appeared. She pushed back onto her hind legs as her front feet kicked up before she fell back down, neighing as she stomped her foot.

Leafeon jumped from the hole, proudly watching the other Pokemon get recalled. He had to thank Mightyena for wearing him down though or that fight would of been a lot tougher. The fox raised his head, sighing happily as the sun's rays warmed his body.
Terra raised an eyebrow at the interesting choice. A Rapidash? He'd never actually... battles one before. Most Ponyta and Rapidash trainers used them in races or contests not battles. They were oftentimes the more valuable way to go, for both the Pokemon and trainer. He'd seen it battle of course, having watched some of Axel's matches before he got... preoccupied...
"And Rapidash is Axel's second choice. With a top speed of nearly 150 miles per hour, Rapidash is going to put a daunt into Terra's power plan! Will little Leafeon even be able to put up a fight?"
Leafeon's eyes narrowed at the words. "Le!" He glared at the horse.
Terra frowned. The speed would be his biggest problem... he couldn't waste Leafeon's energy when fighting a fire type with misses. He'd have to keep solar beam under wraps. "Alright Leafeon use energy ball!"
"Leee!" He opened his mouth, a ball forming and with a toss of his head he sent it flying towards the horse.

Axel smiled as he saw the look on Terra's face. This was good. He had no idea how much speed she possessed in both her agility and attacks. Guess it was time to show him.
"Rapidash! Dodge that!"
The unicorn neighed and with a powerful and swift jump, the energy ball missed by a land slide.
"Dash to him and used Flamethrower!"
"RAAAAAAAA!" The horse, kicked her feet before suddenly shooting across the arena, holding her head back as fire brewed in her mouth.
Just as the horse got close, Axel narrowed his eyes. "FAKE, GIRL!"
The order confused the crowd but they quickly understood. It was much like Sora's whistles and fake orders.
The fire was swallowed and the escaping Leafeon didn't even see the powerful hooves coming down on him in a Stomp attack.

Terra scoffed as he saw the horse jump over the attack. Damn this was not good. That had to be at least thirty feet in the air...
His eyes widened however when the next order came and he found out just how FAST Rapidash really was. He heard the call for the fire attack and new he had to get Leafeon out of there. "Run for it!"
The fox blinked in confusion - run? He's never run in his - he saw the horse coming for him. "EON!" He cried turning around and making his little legs go as fast as they could... but Rapidash was way faster than him. He was going to be swallowed by fire.
Terra grit his teeth, knowing his fox didn't have the ability to outrun Leafeon. He'd of felt more confidant for his fox if he was a Jolteon but... could he still dodge it... or would he be trampled in the process. "It's right behind you!"
That's when the next order came, catching the tall brunette a little off guard... but though Leafeon couldn't see what was coming for him he could. And his stomach twisted hard.
Jolteon's eyes widened and so did Sora's both of them understanding quickly what fake meant. The brunette held his fox tightly to his chest as the unicorn came right after the leaf-pokemon... and those hooves came down.
Sora gave a cry and hid his face into Jolteon's collar. Leafeon was too little to survive that!!
"JOOOOL!" Jolteon screamed for his brother afraid he was about to watch him be crushed. His spikes stood up and he felt his master flinch.
Beside them Roxas had turned pale and even Absol had shut his eyes.
"LEAF BLADE AND ROLL!" Terra yelled desperately. Leafeon listened instantly, all the leaves on his body standing up and going razor sharp as his body fell and he rolled. He cried out as one of the hooves got him against his side, but he got back at the horse when during his roll his sharp tail made a long slash up that same leg.

Axel would never make his pokemon hurt others. Even with a powerful attack as stomp, he made sure he trainer her not to put all her weight into it. It was a hard blow, but not a devastating one that would cause an emergency at the Center.
But he never told anyone this.
His eyes widened as the horse suddenly neighed in pain, going back on her hind legs. He could see the blood flowing down one of her legs.
"Damnit..."
"Tails!"
Leafeon, however, was still too close to the horse.
"Rapidash! Use Flamethrower now!"
With a twist of her head, flames spewed from her mouth, already having the attack ready from before. There was hardly any time as the flames came right down at the grass pokemon. With all the flames, it also licked her wound, sealing it slightly with her ability of Flash Fire.

"Rapidash is proving to be a tough opponent for little leafeon with her high jumps and natural speed! It appears Leafeon isn't going to give up yet though - countering that surprising stomp with a leaf blade attack right on the leg!"
Roxas sighed as Leafeon rolled away. "Don't worry he's fine."
"He is?" Sora peeked.
"Of course he is Axel's a Pokemon rescuer! He wouldn't kill one!"
Terra sighed in relief as Leafeon appeared for the most part okay though one of those hooves had clipped him. He saw the cut on Rapidash's leg and that didn't surprise him either. when he fought with Leafeon they always went for the weak-spot. On Charizard it was his wings... on a Rapidash the legs would be good to hit.
The shining fox, leaves still raising sharp, was just getting back to his feet when the next attack was called. Terra had no time to say anything at all - there was nothing he could of done at such a close vicinity.
Leafeon however curled up on the ground his leaf blades covering his body protectively like armor - the reason Terra had called for the attack in the first place - as the fire took him. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Cried the fox in pain.
"Leafeon don't give in! Energy ball!" The fox struggled and rose his head, opening his mouth so the ball could form and it shot off into the flamethrower, cutting it down the middle and racing towards the horse.
It never got to her however as the ball overheated half-way there... and exploded, black smoke rising everywhere and throwing the two Pokemon back.
"Oh and another devastating explosion has cut Rapidash and Leafeon completely out of sight! Will either Pokemon still be standing when the smoke clears?"

Axel hissed, seeing the ball of energy being tossed out into the flamethrower.
That was going to cause a---
"AAH!" The redhead cried as he covered his eyes, sand spraying everywhere from the explosion. The crying of a horse could be heard, making his heart unsettled.
There was a thud... but wasn't big enough for her to be on the ground. She was still standing out there.
"Rapidash! Expand your flame to clear the sand and find Leafeon quickly!"
A loud neigh was heard and a sound of fire expanding could be heard when all of a sudden, large flames spread out, revealing the unicorn within. It cleared the sand to reveal the fox running to the hide out where it had gotten Typhlosion. "Don't let him hide! Go after him with Megahorn!"
Rapidash wasted no time as she shot out after the fox. Even with an injured leg, she was still fast. She reared her head down, her horn glowing brightly as she quickly caught up with the fox.
"JUMP!"
The unicorn jumped, soaring over the running fox and twisted, her front hooves coming into the dirt hard in front of the fox as her back fell down behind her.
Smoke came from her nostrils as she quickly swung her head, her horn aiming right down at the fox below her.

Terra covered his face with an arm as the explosion happening grunting a little when the sharp pebbles and sand hit him. Beside him Houndoom growled. They both heard the thump, knowing it was Leafeon who had fallen.
He grit his teeth hearing Axel's call. "Leafeon take cover!" He called over the noise of the fire chasing away the sand. He spotted Leafeon, burned and bruised and hurting, running for the same place he had tricked Axel's first Pokemon. That's when Rapidash came charging again her horn glowing... and he didn't have a chance to reach it as his path was cut off by the horse. He slid messily to a halt, looking up at her and his ears fell as the horn came for him.
"Duck!"
Leafeon followed the order and jumped... right between Rapidash's legs. He was under her now, the trails of flames connected to each of her legs licking at his body.
"Do it!!"
Leafeon lifted his head and let loose another energy ball right for the horse's belly.
