The Tale of Seven

Axel couldn't help but chuckle as he saw the scene. He was really going to miss Sora. Too bad... they couldn't all travel together.... He would love to wake up everyday to travel with such amazing trainers, seeing the world and all the new Pokemon. Training with each other to learn more and maybe helping people and Pokemon along the way.
That would... make him very happy... but he knew some trainers rather do their trip alone. Seeing Raichu and Luxray, he could tell that they liked it just how it was.

He sighed softly before glancing back at Ninetails, seeing her eat from Absol's plate. She loved giving more than receiving, so her eating from his plate after having so much food already worried him some. She had been acting rather strange...
Maybe I should bring her to the center tomorrow just to make sure there's nothing wrong...
"If you get a stomach ache tomorrow, I don't want to hear any complaining."

"NINE, TAILS!" The fox looked up and smiled happily.


She blushed more as she felt the fingers intertwine with hers. "I bet, you're amazing~♥"
The two just gazed into each other's eyes until their food came and they fed each other happily.

Terra ordered his muffin and once again, they dipped and fed it to each other, only this time, no random out cries and no crazy wild skittys.
Terra paid and the two walked out, hand in hand. They walked slowly, enjoying the warmth between their hands.
Venita... knew it was the last time...

When they got to her hotel, they stopped and shared a few passionate kisses before Venita hopped inside and disappeared from Terra's view.

The cute girl opened the door of the hotel room, seeing Aqua on the bed with her Glaceon before pulling off the wig. He huffed as he reached for his belt and called the Spinda back before grabbing the Transfer ball, tossing it to Haunter.

"HAU HAUN!" The ghost caught it and inspected it.
"Put it in a Rocket ball." The blonde boy in a cute dress ordered, the ghost quickly finding a Rocket ball and opening it, placing the other inside and closing it. A click was heard and then a soft break.
That shiny Lapras was now owned by Team Rocket.

He sat down and grabbed a weird device, that remote that he had used when they broke into the stadium. "Now...I'll just set Terra and Axel to fight tomorrow. Terra invited me to see his match so when Axel sends out his Moltres... I can excuse myself to go to the bathroom. We can rush to grab Moltres and get the fuck out of here..."
His last sentence had some guilt behind it as he looked down but slowly looked up at Aqua with a grin.


That morning, three were once again late as they ran to the stadium. Good thing about being late was that you got a better view of the match up board seeing that people come early to plan their day out around their match time.
Roxas was in the lead today, hoping that he would see Roxas Holani VS Terra Tellus.

When they reached the stadium, they walked in only to grow wide eyes. There were TONS of people inside!
Suddenly butterflies burst into Axel's stomach as he looked around at all the people who had come to see the big matches.
"L-let's see what we got..."
He shuddered as he walked towards the match up board, looking for his name.

What he saw... terrified him even more.
The second match of the day... was his.
Axel Xipil VS Terra Tellus
"Oh man...."
"Ninetails...."

He shook his head and sighed before looking back at all the people and blinked when he saw a....COUPLE walking right for them.
Terra... and a cute girl with curly, blonde hair holding hands. Terra had his Houndoom by his side as the girl had a... Spinda.

[Reno]

Sora smiled softly, about to eat anther bite off his pilfered egg roll when Raichu jumped into his lap. "Raaaai!" Cried the mouse, reaching for the chopsticks.
"Heeey come on now!" Sora pouted as he held away his food.
The mouse turned and looked at him with big, pleading eyes. "Chuuuuu?"
"Nice try."
"Raaaaaaaai~♥" The mouse pouted just like his master always did when he wanted something.
"............ oh alright." Sora sighed as his own weapon was used against him, giving the other the food.
"Luuuuux!" Whined the lion getting to his feet.
"You want one too?" Sora asked.
"Ray!"
"Okay." Sora reached over for his brother's food.
"No way!!" Roxas cried, snatching up his plate and lifting it up above his head. "Get your own!"
Sora pouted now. "But Ro-" He cut himself off and grinned.
"What?" Roxas asked but didn't have longer to wait for his answer as suddenly his plate was out of his hands. He looked behind him seeing Absol on the booth seat behind him... his plate between his teeth. "H-Hey Absol!"
The other just grinned and jumped down setting it down beside Ninetails, eating up the food.
"Nice training there Roxas." Sora teased and laughed.
It was until Axel reminded them that this WAS an All you can eat buffet that the boys thought to order more food.

There was a lot of laughter at the buffet table that night. There were still two days to go of the competition. Tomorrow eight people would battle. Then on the last day the four competitors would fight, then the losers would fight for the third place, then the winners for second and first. Naturally Sora was the only one relaxed... and excited while both Axel and Roxas looked nervous and scared.


The date was perfect. So perfect he forgot that in two days he was going to have some big decisions to make. In two days... he didn't even know if he would still be a trainer...

He was still so young to quit his journey. All of his Pokemon were in their prime and ready to keep going. He'd be cutting short fame and fortune if he stopped now.

At the moment though those worries escaped him. He laughed with her as they shared a great meal and dessert, plenty of romance in the air. Terra wouldn't of even fucking cared if some stereotypical Italian guy with an accordion came over and started to play Bella Notte for them - in fact Venita would probably love that.

After they had finished, this time absolutely no hitch in their plans, it was easy to walk her back to her hotel room, all smiles and loving kisses and sweet good nights between them. Terra sighed happily as he watched her walk inside, losing sight of her quickly. He turned and walked off, smiling satisfactorily. Tommorrow was going to be a great day!


Aqua looked up as Ven came into the room, stripping out of his girly clothes, disgust marring his features. She looked away uninterestedly as he switched clothes and transferred the Lapras over to a rocket ball and sat down on his bed to discuss their plans.

"Perfect. Then I'll just meet you in the snack area and we'll move out from there." Aqua said. "Oh and I'll contact Elena to set up a rendezvous point with a few other teams." Elena was a higher up to them that they usually contacted when to give her and the boss updates on their progress during missions. It was exciting somewhat that they got to talk to an Elite when she knew some other teams in TR had to refer to be lower than that. It was almost as if they were speaking straight to the boss himself!

And of course they would need to set up a rendezvous point - usually an area several miles out from the town - where teams would meet up for protection when they have obtained a rare or highly valuable catch such as Moltres was. High priority too.

She laughed falling back onto the bed. "I tell you Ven this is our big moment in history! After the boss sees what we've accomplished, everything is going to get a lot better, just you wait!"


The next morning was full of excitement and nervousness as three teen rushed from their hotel to the stadium. To there surprised not a Flygon or a muscled brunette with a devil hound out waiting for them. Roxas had no patience though and quickly went inside, wanting to see the matches. To all there shock, the place was crowded.
"Eeer... wow." Sora said with a laugh. "Good turn out?"
The blonde shifted uncomfortably. ALL these people were going to be watching his match? He swallowed down sudden nervousness and snapped out of it at Axel's words. He nodded in agreement and carefully they squeezed through the crowd and to a bulletin board.

Roxas eyes ran down it quickly, finding his name in last again someone he didn't really know. He heard Axel exclaim unhappily beside him and blinked, looking for his name... and then saw who he was against. "Ouch."
Sora looked at the matches too but smiled and pat Axel on the shoulder. "Hey don't worry! Terra has two grass Pokemon and one fire type so you'll be able to put up a great fight as long as choose the order of your Pokemon well! Just fight with speed you'll be good~"
Roxas nodded in agreement. "Yeah you can kick his ass!"

Axel only sighed and looked back but his eyes went wide. The twins blinked and looked back as well.
Roxas scoffed. "Well at least now we know she's real."
"Heeeey!!" Sora said happily, waving.

The tall brunette smirked nodded to the hyperactive teen as he stopped in front of them. "Everyone, I would like you to meet Venita and her Spinda." He smiled down at her, seeing her shyly duck her head murmuring a soft 'Hello'. his voice turned suddenly more fond, making the other's raise there eyebrows in shock. "Venita, these are my friends, Sora, Roxas and Axel and there Pokemon Jolteon, Absol and Ninetails."

Sora grinned, finding it cute that she was still hiding her face behind her curls. "It's nice to finally meet you! Terra's told us lots!"
Jolteon tilted his head and walked up to the girl sniffing her. He recognized that scent! "Jolt jolt jolteon!!" He grinned up at her.
Sora blinked but laughed leaned down and tugging the other away. "Wow! Jolteon must really like you too!"
The other blushed and mumbled something about her perfume, looking up between her bangs.
Roxas eyes narrowed then. Something about her... why did he feel like he'd met her before? "Do I... know you?" Sora blinked glancing at his sibling then looked at the girl closely as well. She reminded him of someone too...
Before Venita had to answer though - "So I'm facing you Axel?" Terra asked with a smirk turning his eyes away from the board to face the panicking red-head. "Tough luck and you got so far too~"
Sora looked over, smacking the other over the head. "Terra! Don't be mean!"
"Ow! Jeez for such a shrimp you sure do fucking hit hard!"
Roxas scoffed looking at Terra. "Well you shouldn't have such an ego the size of a hot air balloon!"

Axel gulped as he heard the brunette next to him. That was right... Terra did have two grass and a fire but... with that kind of power...

He shook his head and smiled slightly as he saw Terra come closer and stopped in front of them.
He looked down at the girl, raising an eyebrow. Wow... she kinda looked like.... Roxas in a way? Close enough to be....cousins or something. He shook his head as he was introduced and smiled. "Nice to meet you, Venita. We heard a lot about you."
"Ninetails!" The fox cried as she tilted her head.

Why was a boy in girls clothing...?
MAYBE it was dress-up day!....but no one else seemed to be dressing funny.
"Tails?" The fox looked at Absol, wondering if he knew the answer.

The girl's eyes widened as she hid behind Terra a bit.
SHIT! I forgot they would be here!
She glanced up at the board... and realized something that she hadn't the night before.
Sora had lost... to Roxas!?
However when Sora and Roxas looked at her closer, she hid away behind her curls more.

Luckily, her boyfriend saved the day.

Axel's eyes widened as he heard the muscular brunette and for the first time in this competition, he felt a fire inside of him. How could someone he knew that ATE with them and spent some good times with them suddenly act like this except...

Venita.

Of course he had to look good in front of her.
The redhead could only smirk and he held out his hand. "Well, I wish you luck. You're going to need it too." He bit back.


Off in another part of the region, a man was seating in a large chair, looking out a large window at the ocean surrounding the tower. Behind him was his desk and a large room filled with books and rare....stolen prizes.

"You called, sir?"
A man with slightly long hair, tied up to gain a professional look stood in front of the desk. His had slanted eyes and a dot in the middle of his forehead. He wore a sharp suit and his black dress shoes shined.

The man in the chair was wearing an all white suit with a red tie, mimicking the rare Pokemon that laid on his lap.
A shiny Absol.
"Soool...." He growled before his master turned in his chair and looked up at the other. A large 'R' was above his desk, signifying that they were indeed a Team.

"What is the stance for.... Aqua and Ventus as of late?"
The blonde hair man in the seat asked as he pet the Absol slowly.
"Well sir.... I.....haven't heard from them in two weeks. They were suppose to capture a heard of Stantler but they failed. When they called to confirm this, they said they would be heading to the Platinum Championship in Victory City. We haven't heard any word from them since."

A sigh was admitted as the man closed his eyes and stopped the petting, looking as if he was deep in thought. "I see...." He opened his eyes and nodded. "Find them... and let them know what it feels like to be kicked out of Team Rocket.... indefinitely."
The man blinked but nodded.
"Yes sir." He bowed before turning and quickly leaving the room. When he stepped into the hallway, three others were waiting close by. Two men and a woman. The man nodding. "Reno, start the helicopter, we have a mission to do."

[Reno]

Terra smirked at the other's words, shaking his hand. "For your sake I hope so. I'll even let you call for the coin toss~"
Sora sighed and said in a placating way. "Alright alright you two leave it for the battlefield. Gosh you guys are even worse than Ven and Roxas when they're fought over those silly checkered wristbands."
"Hey they aren't silly!" Roxas said, tugging at the one on his arm.
"The fashion industry would beg to differ, big foot." Terra said as he turned to look at them with a smirk.
"HEY!" Both twins cried in protest.

Absol was looking at Venita peculiarly, knowing 'her' just as Jolteon had. He looked at Ninetails and made a soft noise then looked towards his master who was now preoccupied sending evil looks Terra's way.

This was very strange. Why weren't Sora or Roxas hugging their sibling like they usually did? Were they mad cause he had all that horrible smelling perfume on? He whined, nudging his trainer.
Roxas looked down frowning. "Hey what's wrong Absol?" He pet his head. "Nervous?"
"Sol!" He shook his head then looked towards Venita.
Roxas frowned then looked towards her as well again. Her face... it was so eerily familiar... and those eyes...

"Joool~" The yellow fox cried running back over to the girl and sat in front of her pawing at her legs. "Jolt Jolteon!"
Sora frowned walked over and picking up his fox. "Jolteon stop that it's rude!" He looked at Venita smiling sheepishly. "I'm sorry he's usually not like this." He blinked then and his eyes widened as if he realized something. "Oh!" He didn't even notice her flinch or her eyes alighting with panic.
"You smell like kinda like Poffin!" Sora laughed in realization and looked down at Jolteon. "If you were hungry you should just asked silly!"
"Eooon..." The fox said, ears falling a little. His master needed his nose checked.
"Oh...Absol hates Poffin." Roxas chuckled too, looking at his friend "No wonder you're acting weird."
"Soool..." He sighed. His trainer was an idiot, wasn't he?
"Alright enough smelling my woman!" Terra stepped in wrapping an arm around Venita protectively.


Further away three people were leaning against a wall waiting patiently for their leader to come out the door.
"So... get any good catches lately?" The only woman of the group asked. She had short blonde hair and was wearing a suit just like the others, tie and shined shoes and all. She tapped her foot waiting for an answer... but neither responded. It wasn't like they didn't know but she was just trying to make conversation!
"See.... Pokemon in Love?" She asked again. No answer.
"..... Heard any good music?"
"...................................................."

"Oh come on!" She exploded.
The bald, bulky man next to her shifted slightly but his expression was blank, sunglasses hiding his eyes.
She huffed crossing her arms. "Fine I'll play the silent game too!" She closed her lips tightly, making her cheeks puff out some.
"....................................."

She sighed aggravatingly, and looked around restlessly and started to tap her foot. After a few more minutes she started to hum. The two men flanking her shook a little trying to hide their chuckles.
That was when the door opened and a man walked out, shutting the door quietly before walking over.

At his words the blonde jumped from the wall and with a leap she was in front of the other, looking at him imploring. "What kind of mission Tseng?!"

Venita shifted nervously behind Terra. DAMNIT! When were they leaving?
"I---" She was cut off when the yellow fox sat in front of her and started to paw at her. Blue eyes looked down as they hid behind curls even more. "Go!Get!" She murmered under her breath, so low that no one could understand her.

When Sora came around though, she hid behind Terra more and unfortunately, caught eyes. With the exclamation, her eyes darted in panic.
SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! DAMNIT SORA, DON'T YOU BLOW MY COV---
His eyes widened when he heard the stupidity that came out of his eldest brother's mouth.
A sigh of relief was given before a giggle.

Saved by Poffin perfume!

When she was pulled closer, she looked up at him with big blue eyes. "Terra...? Can you show me around?"
She NEEDED to get away from her brothers but more or less their pokemon!


A redhead, dressed more professionally sloppier than the rest, leaned next to the bulky bald one. He was as silent as the other, but a more shitty grin was over his lips as he heard the woman complain.

This was always so much fun...

When she started to hum, he couldn't take it anymore and looked away, trying to cover a chuckle. However, when the door opened, he looked over lazily and pushed off the wall as well.
The blonde easily shot right in front of their leader and green eyes rolled, walking towards her.

"Well---"
"Yo, Elena~ This is no time to crawl up your boyfriend's ass. Didn't you hear, we have a mission to do?" He asked with a cocky tone in his voice as he grabbed her collar and dragged her down the hallway towards a door that read:
Helicopter Lift.

[Reno]

Terra looked at her but at her request his tough front seemed to melt with his grin. "Sure." He clasped his hand with hers waving vaguely in the other's direction. "See you guys later." He tugged her off walking away, little hearts seeming to follow him above his head.

"How?" Houndoom blinked as his master left without even really looked at him and Spinda was still busily circling around. He tilted his head before lowering it, nudging the little rabbit bear up on his head where it clung to his horns before hurrying after to the two.

There was a long pause then Roxas laughed. "He is SO whipped."
Sora chuckled and looked at his brother. "Ah he's just in love~ It's really cute." He sighed wistfully. "I wish I was that lucky to just... run into a stranger and fall for them. The whole love at first sight is so romantic."
Roxas rolled his eyes. "Oh no here he goes." He looked towards the red-head. "We better go find our seats now before all this love-sickness catches."


"Wha-" Elena tried to protect but her voice cut off as she was dragged away.
"WHOEVER HEARD OF DOING A MISSION WITHOUT A BRIEFING?!" Her voice echoed down the hall.
The bald man sighed, shaking his head slowly as if he couldn't believe his co-workers actions and pulled off from the wall. "At least they are eager." Translation: 'They're still idiots and they act like children'

The blonde girl smiled and squeezing his hand as they started to walk off. That was really close. Hopefully he won't bump into them again...

"Spiiiii~~" The bear teetered around, not too sure where his master went as he perked his ears up. "Spindaaaaaaa!" The bear's butt was tapped and he fell down... onto a head. "Spinda!" The pokemon cried happily as he took the horns and held on tightly, enjoying the ride. He turned and waved to the others before holding on tightly again.

Axel tilted his head, finding this all rather amusing. He shook his head, red hair shifting as he looked down at Roxas. "Sounds good to me." He turned and started to head off, Ninetails and Absol in tow before dreamy eyed Sora and an embarrassed Jolteon.


"Yea, yea, like he can't explain it in the copter, yo?" The redhead grinned as the doors opened and the two disappeared as it closed.

Tseng sighed and shook his head before looking at the other. "I suppose." With a nod, he and the other quickly walked the distance to the Lift to join the others who were already in the copter.

[Reno]

It wasn't long before the bleachers were full, the announcer was talking a mile a minute and four trainers and one girl (her hopes were not meant to be) where sitting watching the first exciting battle of the finals. Venita was sitting the farthest away from the others and next to her was Terra, next to him Axel, than Roxas than Sora. Each of their respective Pokemon were sitting in front of them or were up in their laps.

"And that's it folks! With that devastating hyper beam attack from Aggron, Grovyle is down and out. This match is over! Makkis will be moving on to the last day!"

The crowd roared in excitement. Sora chuckled, shaking his head. "Wow what a match!"
Roxas sighed but nodded. He wondered... how far he was going to get. He looked towards Axel though when the other groaned unhappily and smiled, patting him on the shoulder. "You're gonna do fine Axel, I know it." He reached over petting Ninetails on the head. "You too Ninetails."
"Sol!" Absol agreed, nuzzling her. Unlike usual these matches had no breaks in between so they couldn't leave at all. No one really wanted to, lest they lose their seats.

Houndoom raised his head and yawned wrapping his devil tail around Spinda who was dozing on his side. He raised the little rabbit-bear and placed it on Venita's lap before standing and stretching. Terra got up as well, smirking confidently as he looked down at Venita. "I'll be back soon, okay?" He said with a smile, leaning down and kissing her. Roxas saw this and gagged.
Sora chuckled, his feet jittering with excitement for the two as they got up, preparing to leave. "We'll be rooting for you guys do your best!"
"Well YOU will be. I'll just be rooting for Axel." Roxas said haughtily.
Terra rolled his eyes but winked at his girlfriend. "That's okay cause I've got the gem of my life on my side."

Roxas gagged some more until Sora hit him over the head and said his good lucks once more to the four before Terra, Houndoom, Axel and Ninetails were hurrying off. There was some short conversation between the three - well two. Venita seemed a little shy even when Sora asked her a couple of questions. All her answers were short and soft and she always ducked her head, much like Roxas used to when he was much younger.

"There they are!" Sora said excitedly, pointing towards the stadium. On one side Axel was walking Ninetails flipping her tails and her chest puffed out proudly. On the other strutted Terra with Houndoom walking, heads raised high.

"And this is another match people have been waiting to see. Former Pokemon Rescuer Axel Xipil is from Lavaridge Town! Primarily a fire trainer, Axel has carried himself far in this competition with his ingenuity and compassion for others and their Pokemon. He's made it his mission to spread the word to the world on how to rightfully care for and train Pokemon! All but two of his Pokemon have been seen in this competition thus far!"
"Two?" Roxas asked with a frown, mentally naming off the Pokemon he knew Axel had. Rapidash, Camrupt, Typholsion, Ninetails, Vaporeon...
"Did he ever use Vaporeon in a match?" Sora said with a smile. He was going be useful against two of Terra's Pokemon if Axel remembered to choose his order carefully.
".... Guess not." The blonde realized.

"And his opponent is Terra Tellus from Sandgem Town! Terra has skated through this competition with power and stamina alone, never having once switched out a Pokemon in any of his three-on-three battles! A feat that does not happen often folks! He's won the popular vote in the crowd for the most likely to win this competition, and most are saying without even using more than three Pokemon per match! But the popular beliefs don't always mean truth - will Axel outwit Terra, or will Terra's pure power daunt Axel?" The crowd shouted all around answering all over.

Terra chuckled softly as he walked across the stadium, meeting Axel in the middle. Their field was nothing too special, just the dark, rough sand of a typical battlefield, white lines drawn all over. There were no longer bars in front of their trainer rings... nor white flags. Surrendering was not common this far into the competition.

The brunette looked at the red-head and chuckled. "Well... good luck." He held out his hand and they shook once more, like good trainers do when they wanted to convey no matter the outcome that there would be no hard feelings.

When the judge started to ask for the coin toss the brunette nodded to the other. "Call it."


In the snack bar Aqua sighed, sipping a warm drink, listening to the commotion of the crowd that traveled even this far. It was too bad they wouldn't get to see the whole fight she supposed.
Then again... they'd still get one hell of a show.
By her feet was a large purse full of all sorts of oddities and gadgets. Nothing could be seen of course - all of it was for the capture that would happen soon. It wouldn't be too much longer.

Axel swallowed as he saw the ending of the battle. It had come up way too quickly for a six on six... He knew this wasn't going to be easy...
He smiled at Roxas and Sora as he too stood, Ninetails looking up at him as if she was ready
"Thanks guys." Axel smiled before following the brunette down and out of the bleaches.

The girl held her Spinda close, swallowing as she saw the next match getting ready. If the two next to her weren't her OWN brothers, should would of focused more and block them out... but every time Sora asked a question, she had to answer.

Down below, in a hallway, Axel sighed and closed his eyes. He too a deep breath in, pulling his hands to his chest before exhaling slowly, pushing his hands out as if it was pushing all his nerves from his body.

There was more silence before the green eyes opened and a smiled appeared on his face. "Alright! Let's do this!"
"Ninetails!" The fox cried as she followed her master out the door and into the stadium.
The crowd cheered as the two walked the distance between them and stopped in the middle.
"Good luck to you too." The redhead smiled as he took Terra's hand and gave it a strong, confident shake.

This was what training all came down to.

They pulled away and the redhead blinked as he saw that nod. He looked down at Ninetails and smiled, seeing her smile back proudly before he looked at the announcer.
"Tails."


"A-aqua?" A voice came from behind the woman as a silverette walked over, a Misdreavus following her. She stopped at the table and smiled. "Ha, I'm shocked to see you out here. I thought you'd be watching the battle."
She took a seat next to the woman and smiled. "So, how have you beem?"

[Reno]

Terra watched the metal fly in the air, glinting in the sun... then it fell back as the judge caught it. There was a pause then. "It's tails! Terra has to choose first!!"

The brunette smirked looking as confidant as ever almost as if Axel was the one at the disadvantage, not him. "Alright." He and the red-head turned and walked back to their boxes turning to face on another once more.

Terra hummed before reaching for the last poke-ball at his belt. Beside him Houndoom growled unhappily knowing exactly who he was choosing.

"Mightyena, go!" Terra called as he threw the pokeball.
There was a brilliant flash of light and sparkles... before a fierce wolf appeared. But that wasn't what made the crowd gasp.
"Yena!" Came the high bark and the wolf tossed her head proudly. She looked back at Houndoom, flicking her tail at him teasingly before smirking towards Axel, as standoffish as a model. Her eyes and nose were a glorious blue and her coat, rather than gray and black, was a stunning combination of russet brown and golden yellow, coat shining under the sun.

"And what a stunning choice just look as that coat! Terra's first choice, a shiny Mightyena! These pack-like Pokemon are very loyal to a trainer who has shown him or her great strength!"

"Wow..." Sora breathed. "She's beautiful."
Roxas just huffed.


Aqua nearly choked on her drink at the call of her name, looking back confused. At the sight of the silverette though she relaxed and smiled easily. She shrugged at the first comment unsure of how to respond. At the second question though... "Oh I've been good. Checked out the cute contest, a friend of mine won."

She leaned back sighing contently. "How about you, how have you been?"

Axel's eyes narrowed as he saw the smirk. Wasn't losing a BAD thing? Of course not... not to Terra. No matter what, Terra's pokemon were all powerful and long lasting.... like an Energizer battery. He nodded before turning, going to his side of the arena. When he got to his box, he turned and watched to see what Pokemon Terra would choose.

He too gasped, seeing the shiny Mightyena.
"She's... beautiful..."
"Tails."
"Oh! Right!" Axel shook his head and grinned. "No problem! I know just who to pick!"
He reached for his last Pokeball, one that had been with him for awhile.

"GO TYPHLOSION!"
The volcano Pokemon appeared through energy, standing on his back legs as he looked around.
"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" The pokemon roared as he flexed, fire suddenly blowing through small holes in his shoulders to reveal a ring of flames around his neck.

The grumpy pokemon looked across the arena at the Mightyena and huffed, retracting his claws as he growled.


The silverette blinked and smiled. "You know Venita Troublefield? I heard she won by a landslide!" She leaned in and smiled more. "Do you think she'll let you ride her Lapras?"

She pulled away and sighed, leaning on the back of her chair. "I'm doing alright. Quit my job as a security of the stadium and got another as a park officer! I really like a lot better... even if it deal with wild pokemon more."

[Reno]

"Mi!" Cried the wolf as the large fire-type appeared. She growled angrily at his negligence towards her looks, huffing and looking away. He thought he was SO tough!

Houndoom was snickering away where he sat, finding it hilarious. Terra just sighed and shook his head, smiling. Sometimes she was a little much...

"Begin!" Called the judge.

Terra hummed some, before grinning. Axel should of choose a female. "Alright Mightyena, Attract him."

"Yena!" She yipped in agreement. She trotted across the field, flipping her tail and tossing her head, fluttering her pretty blue eyes at the fire-type from under her lashes. "Miiiii~" She said little red hearts flying from her to circle around the fire-type. The large Pokemon seemed a little stunned, and hardly noticed it as she came up to him.
Terra chuckled at the scene, seeing the dumbstruck look. "Do it, Yena. Sucker punch."
The spell vanished as she smirked evilly and threw her body up, her head smacking hard into Typholsion's gut hard.


Aqua chuckled shaking her head. "I don't need to ride a Lapras really..." She'd been across the sea plenty of times with ehr own water types.

"Well that's good." She said with a smile. "As long as your happy with what your doing that's what count, right?"

Axel tensed as he heard the judge call, about to sound an attack when--
"Attract him."

"Huh?" Axel blinked as he looked pass his Pokemon at the other, seeing her swoosh her tail around.

Where the hell were all these hearts coming from!?

"Tyyyyy?" The fire pokemon blinked, his eyes suddenly turning into hearts themselves as she walked over. "Phlosion~~~♥"

Axel's eyes widened as he heard Terra attack. "Ty---"
"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!"
The pokemon went flying and hit the ground hard.
"Typhlosion!" The redhead cried but frowned. "Snap out of it! She's not interested in you!"
The fire pokemon stood, shaking his head as he looked out at the wolf, hearts still in his eyes but when his master called, he shook his head once more, his eyes returning red.

"TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" He roared once more before growling.
"Use Taunt so she can't attract you again!"
The fire pokemon grinned as he held out his hand, motioning her come on as he whipped his head around cockily.

[Reno]

"And what a beginning! That Attract move worked like a charm, Typhlosion falling too in love with Mightyena to prevent that Sucker Punch! But now he's returning with a taunt attack to prevent that from happening again!"

Mightyena swooshed her tail proudly as her attack worked, grinning even as the other got up and smacked out of his daze. That would teach him to huff at her coat!

As his angry response she tossed her head, smirking. "Might!" Suddenly though the other was giving her a cocky look, and made a come on motion. Her eyes narrowed and she started to growl with fury, her body shaking in rage.

"Are you sure instigating her into only attacking is such a good idea?" Terra asked from afar, sounding completely calm even as he lost control of his own wolf.

Mightyena howled loudly, sounding infuriated as her teeth gleamed dark purple. She opened her mouth, a stream of purple circles flying from her mouth towards the other.

Axel smiled as he saw the attack work. He knew Terra's Pokemon were powerful, with powerful attack... but as long as he can keep his Typhlosion alert at all times, he would be quick enough.

He ignored Terra's taunt at the other end of the stadium as he called out. "Typhlosion! Dodge that attack and run around her using Earthquake!"

"TYYYYYYYY!" The fire pokemon got down on all fours, quickly dodging the attack and kicking up dust as he started to run in a big circle around her. With every paw that fell on the ground as he ran, the earth under it would shake. Seeing that he was moving and doing this attack while doing so, the concentration of the attack was only inside the circle he was running... making the attack that much more condensed and powerful.
