Reshi grinned, and this time he held out his hand. "it will." It was going to be itneresting. the kid already intrigued him, much like Shiro had. Isaaru however, still had a lot of training to go through. There was a lot he had to learn about life... and guns and killing,
But that was okay. maybe he;d love this job as much as he did,
"not really." the little fox kit murmured, glancing up. "i just..." she sighed. "i don;t really feel like... a part of this family. Blaze is gonna be what mom wants, Meras gonna be what dad wants, your what Reshi likes... so who am i?"

Isaaru looked at the man's hand and then back at him before reaching out and taking it, giving it a firm shake. He smiled. Finally he could do something with his life... and revenge Keyakku... though he was sure that she wouldn't want someone to avenge her. Then if not for her.... than the rest of the Jakkus that were ripped away from their clan just like he had been.
"So.... when do I start?" He asked a bit eagerly. It would be nice... to have a partner. Maybe he wouldn't feel so alone.
Shiro shook his head and looked down at the floor. "Is that what you're so upset about?" The grin-smile appeared on his face as he chuckled a bit. "You... are yourself." He put plainly. "You're not suppose to grow on being what someone else wants you to be. This is your life... you should do what you want with it. " He leaned back and let his blonde hair fall over his sunglasses.
"Reshi and I... don't always agree on things. He never told me to be an outstanding student, he detest that I move to Midgar... but it's my choice. People just guide you on the path they want to see you follow however, in the end... it is you that will have to choose the path you want to go down, them liking it or not."
He paused as he looked at her. "You're a sweet girl Suki.... a lot of people like you for that. However, you don't have to try and be sweet if you don't want to. I don't think mom or dad or even Reshi is 100% happy with who I've become... but I'm proud of myself. I chose what I wanted to be and did it the best I could. As long as your happy with yourself, it doesn't matter what people think of you." He nodded. "You will always be a part of our family and you will always have some sort of support from us."

Reshi smirked at the other male's grip. He had hidden strength under him, that was for sure. But then again that scrawny thing known as Mos wasn;t that weak either - maybe it was a Jakku---ian.... trait!
"You start whenever we get called in for a mission - and now that i have a partner i'm sure it won;t be long." Reshi informed him.
Suki sat up, encouraged by her brothers words. "i can... choose." she didn;t have to listen to her parents... sure she saw her friends disobeying her parents all the time but they were human... HUMAN! even Shiro was a human... so, weren;t the rules different for her?
She pulled off her hat, frowning. "But Shi-Shi" it had been a long time since she had called him that. When she had been learning human speak and english writing... she had had a tendency to give her siblings. Mera had been Meme and Blaze had been Z (she had loved the letter Z, probably because it was at the end of the alphabet and so ignored). And of course Shiro had to be Shi-Shi - it sounded girlish but hey, what did one expect fun a girl?
"Your a human... i'm not." she murmured. "I don;t even know who i want to be... i'd hate the idea of hunting and gfighting and running for my life but the human world scares me just as much, so many expectations... college... jobs!"

The mako eyed man nodded. "Ok... I see." He reached into his pocket and grabbed a pan, clicking it and grabbing a napkin. He started to write down a number and handed it to the dark haired man. "Here, this is my cell phone if you ever need to reach me." He thought a bit. "And I live in the apartment building across from the school. I live on the top floor, room 31."
He placed some gil on the table and stood. "It was nice meeting you and uh..." He reached up and rubbed the scar. "Thank you for hiring me." He bowed slightly before walking off, but stopped. He looked back at the man slightly and smiled softly. "That Suki girl.... tell her I'm sorry for scaring her..."
Shiro smiled softly at the old name. He didn't like it at first, but it grew on him. "You're still young Suki.... you don't need to choose now. This is the time in your life when you're suppose to be carefree and just worry about what color your going to paint your fingernails."
His blind hand reached out and caught one of her ears, rubbing it softly. "Besides.... I'll let you in on a small secret..." He slowly moved in and smiled. "There's nothing wrong with being a late bloomer." He whispered as he pulled away. He stood and smiled down at her. "Did you need help with your homework?"
Mos yawned as he grabbed his bag and threw his cigarette out. He whistled a bit as he slowly walked home. It was going to be a cool night. He could already tell from the breeze that was coming from the woods.
When he got to the door, he opened it wide with a crazy looking smile. "HEY!! IT'S CHICKEN TIME!"

Reshi nodded, taking the paper and looking at it causally. And when the other gave him his address he nodded. He new exactly what building he meant - it was a tad old fashioned - more of as building he;d seen in Kalm, which serveral floors and large windows and a nice fire esacape.
He brushed off the gratitude. but he glanced at the other at the comment about Suki, then he smirked. "Don;t worry too much. she gets scared of everything. especally your kind." He doubted that this boy would hurt Suki - somehow he just didn;t think Suki was dumb enough to let him either.
Besides, if foxes and bobcats can live in the same clan - according the Amber - so could wolves and foxes.
she smiled at the comfort the words gave her. Her brother was always so smart - he always knew just what to say. At the fingernail painting comment she couldn;t help but giggle.
She purred a bit when her ear was rubbed smiling contently, but her cheeks went bright red when he mentioned the late blooming. how had he...?
Of course she was late. Her voice was still a bit high, her body still akwardly small in MANY areas - she wasn;t pretty... hell she was barely hormonal! Heat seasons barely affected her if at all. How had Shiro known when he couldn;t even see? "i uh..." her ears perked when her father called. She looked up. "Chicken?"
"CHICKEN!" was the answered yell and as quick as lightning Blaze was in the living room, looking excited. His smile could have matched his father's.
Amber;s eyes snapped open from her nap, and she lfited herself off the bed? chicken... what?
she wandered out into the next room, yawning. "what is all this noise about?" She looked at her mate, blinking at the smile., Oh she knew what that meant.

Isaaru nodded as he took that piece of advice. "I see... well, please let me know when something comes up. Sleep well." He left the tavern and looked up at the evening sky. Mako eyes wondered the sky for Arn. She was there, hiding behind a tree. A soft smile appeared on his face as he slowly walked back to his apartment.
It was quite old fashion... it seemed to be the oldest building in the town. Everything seemed pretty damn old about it. Everything had a very cozy... warp to it. He walked in and up the stairs to his small room. A place with a small living room, a bedroom, a small bathroom and an even smaller kitchen. After the years, it was getting quite impossible to cook anything in there without the smoke alarm going off.... so he'd just eat out or hunt anymore...
He set his gun on the stand near the couch that he usually slept on. He had no bed for the bedroom was more of his study area. The couch was fine... it was a lot better than sleeping on those old wooden pews. He pulled his hat from his head, exposing silver ears with a few earrings dangling from them. They moved around to get out the stiff feeling of being under the hat all day.
Falling on the couch, he looked up at the ceiling with a smile. Finally... he could do something with his life... how long had it been? 27 years...? 27 years old and now... he was finally hired to do something. But, the happiness seemed to fade quickly as a shadow came across his mind. He curled up and positioned himself towards the back of the couch. Vikenti....
Reshi said that they saved the boy... and no one else survived. That alone... was very odd. He closed his eyes and sighed. He wondered.... if.... Reshi would ever ask what happened in those labs... and he wondered... if he could every tell someone the story that ran through his head every night.
Shiro only knew she was a late bloomer by the way he held herself when she talked. She was quite shy and still on the childish side, unlike Mera or Blaze. It was easy to spot a late bloomer, even if you're blind. He tilted his head and looked up at the ceiling when he heard his father and brother start to chatter... loudly at each other. Must of been chicken. he did just say that, didn't he? The whole place got nuts when Mos brought home chicken.
"Looks like I'll be staying another night." He wanted to leave before food was put on the table...because if he didn't, Mos would go down his throat to stay for dinner. He didn't bother arguing anymore.
Mos looked at the boy and laughed. "Yea see! I told you I'd bring chicken!" He walked to the kitchen and put down the bag, pulling out two hens that were already cooked and ready for eating. "I got two.... cause you know, we're a pretty big family and I want everyone to eat good!" He looked at Mera who was sitting on the table doing her homework. "Hey~~~ you can do that later! Get ready for CHICKEN!"
Mera rolled her eyes and closed her book, getting up and going into the basement. She saw Shiro and Suki as she put her books on her bed. "Hey, it's 'CHICKEN TIME'..." She frowned. "I guess we'd all better get up there before he starts yelling anymore."
Mos blinked as his one eye looked around. "HEY! Where's Reshi? We can't eat till everyone is here~"

Reshi chuckled as the kid left, before slowly standing it was close to the time when Mos got home, and that meant dinner time. He might as well head back.
He walked from the bar, trekking towards home. Unlike Isaaru's place, their home was cozy and modern with a nice little fireplace, a kitchen, a large basement and enough rooms and bathrooms for them all to be comfortable.
Mideel itself was a small town - no need for cars everything was in walking distance - well except for the ocean but no one went there. Because this town was the opposite of the Northern Crater, the ocean was soiled with Mako making it unhealthy to swim in.
Suki smiled a bit. "you need to stay more often Shi." She murmured. "I feel like i never see you!" And it was true, though he visited whenever Reshi pleaded it was by far rare of few between - his visits did seem too short.
She licked her lips. besides, Chicken was the best!
She looked up when her sister came into the room, then got up and off her bed, putting her hand on Shiro's shoulder. "come on Shi-Shi it;s time to eat!" she couldn;t keep ehr own slight excitement out of her tone though.
Blaze nearly skipped after his father, his tail, now free of it;s constraint (he had pants with holes in them - he was only allowed to wear them at home) wagged excitedly.
Amber followed after them, her nose twitching at the delicious smell. "Is this to celebrate the kids going back?" she questioned. Chicken was a rare food for them due to the expense - well this kind of chicken. She could easily catch one... but apparently that was 'unfun' to her children.
"Reshi said he was going out to meet someone." Amber said then, nodding. "He should be back soon."

Shiro looked at his sister as she laid a hand on his shoulder. He pulled the grin-smile on his face and nodded. "I am a busy man, Suki... I do what I can. Science doesn't sleep all to well... and if I want to my masters degree, I need to put in my full time." Yes.... a masters degree in Science. That would make him a doctor. Wouldn't ShinRa be proud that their reject would become a doctor in science? He...didn't know this information of course.
He would of suggested that they come and visit him... but Midgar was not a very safe place for children nor activist against ShinRa. He had to admit though, the chicken that Mos brought home ALWAYS brought the whole family to the table. He nodded and started walking up the stairs after Mera. He was about to watch for her tail to be pushed in his face but he remembered that she had lost hers.
When they got to the first floor, the smell of the chicken filled the house. Shiro sniffed the air and he couldn't help but get his mouth to stop watering. It had been a long time since Mos brought home this chicken. It was expensive... but worth every bite. He remembered when he first had some. It put him right to sleep because he ate so much.
Mos looked down at his son and playfully pushed him away. "Hey! Stop it~~~~ You're going to snort up the damn thing if you get any closer." He laughed as his tail wagged back and forth as well as he got out the plates. When she started to cut the first hen, he looked down at Blaze and smiled. What a split image of himself. Hopefully he wouldn't pick up smoking. "Go see if Reshi is coming, and if he is, tell him to put his ass in gear, it's CHICKEN NIGHT!"
He laughed as he continued to cut the chicken, turning to look at his mate slightly. "Kinda like that sweetheart... this is more of a 'need-to-get-the-family-sitting-together-talk kind of thing." He smiled sweetly at her as he loaded up a large plate with chunks of chicken.

Reshi hopped onto the porch, walking towards the door and reaching his hand up to open it. It most likely wasn;t locked - they never did lock it.
Suki followed after, unable to stop licking her lips. her stomach rumbled and she sniffed the air briefly. the scent of the chicken was making her starving!
Amber rasied an eyebrow. "i see..." she watched him pile up to food, sniffing idly. She was probably the only one in the whole family who didn;t go cxrazy over the food - but she could eat this meat cooked sometimes.
Blaze stood to attention and nodded at his fatherls orsders. he raced from the room to the front door.
And guess who was on the other side?
"Reshi!" The fox male said exctitedly.
The man paused mid-reach, chuckling. He took one look at Blaze and he knew what was going on. "Chicken?"
"YES!" The fox said, before running back toweards the kitchen.
The man burst into laughter, walking in and shutting the door. Utoh, what had happened now? Mos typically offered the food as a peace offering.

It was getting quite noisy. Shiro hated noise... it threw him off but seeing that he knew this place like the back of his hand, it wasn't so bad. He slowly moved away from his sister and found a place at the table. His head perked as he heard Reshi's voice coming through the door. The grin-smile appeared as he leaned back on his chair.
Mera, almost tripping over her brother, pushed him aside and reached up to the cabinets. Such good food deserved good plates. She took out... let's see.... how many? There was her, her sister, her brother, her other brother, her mom, her dad, and Reshi. So that was seven! That was a lot of people... but she was sure that the two large hens that Mos had brought home would do well.
She walked to the table and started to set it, sniffing the air here and there and smiling. She placed a plate in front of Shiro and got a thank you for it before sitting down next to him.
Mos looked back and smiled brightly at Reshi. "Hey there~ How was the guy huh? Obviously nice if you made it back alive." He blinked as he felt something under his arm. A HAND!? "BLAZE!" He yelped as he slapped the hand away and quickly grabbed the boy's wrist. "You little bastard!" He put his kit in a head luck playfully and continued to put the chicken on the large plate.

Suki took her own seat, next to where Blaze would probably sit. It was so typical - their spots that is - she didn;t even think about what chair to sit in anymore.
Amber just shook her head, sitting down at the table as well and waited. Food would come - her children new little aboit patiences.
"Gack! but daaad!" Blaze complained, tyring to get away. "i'm huuungry!"
Reshi laughed at the display. The poor kid. "Lets just say i have a partner now." he asaid with a proud smirk.

Mos turned his son around and kicked him in the butt. "Get to the table."
When all was ready, he took the large plate with two hands and put it in the middle of the table. They all knew well enough not to reach over and dig in quite yet. Mos had to sit down first... and when he did, forks couldn't move any faster.
Mera waited for Mos to sit, and like the other two, almost stabbed the pieces that they were eying, putting it on their plates and wharfing it down.
Mos looked at Reshi and smiled. "Oh? A new partner?" He asked as he watched the kids almost grab the whole thing. His fork came over the meat too and got some nice pieces, putting them on Shiro's plate. The boy couldn't see which chunks were good or not. "That's great." He nodded as he got some for himself. Yea... it was true. Mos felt a bit bent out of shape about the whole thing.
He wanted to start doing the missions again too... and by now, he thought he would be able to. Unfortunately, with his cancer scare that no one else knew about... was kind of holding him back. "So, what's the guy like?"

The other two fox kits quickly reached out as well. Suki and Blaze both nearly jumped as their forks clashed onto the plates. they growled a little at each other but scoffed, going for other pieces instead. It was so much easier to growl and fight with a sibling - at least you know they never could hurt you.
Amber watched the four children eat, before tentatively reaching her fork out, bringing some food on her own plate. It reeally wasn;t what she preferred but...
Reshi watched the fox kits and Shiro, smiling faintly. What was with them and food? he glanced at Mos, shrugging. "He;s um... interesting i suppose. Hates ShinRa a lot - is rather young." he gave ths fox jakku and a look that said 'let;s talk later'. He didn;t want to say this stuff in front of the kits or Shiro... not yet.

Mera took a bite and smiled brightly. "Oh wow! Dad, this is amazing! Thank you so much~" She said as another piece was jammed into her mouth. Maybe it was a good thing that this was rare, she didn't want to over eat something so amazing.
Shiro nodded at Mera's statement. "Yea dad, this is really good. Thank you."
Mos smiled and nodded. "Hey, I promised ya chicken." He pointed out and smiled more before looking at Amber. A dull look then came across his face. "Hun... I put a lot of gil into this meal... could you try and enjoy it? If you want, get some eggs and put some on it."
He looked back at Reshi and nodded, seeing the look. He turned back to the kits and took a bit. "Alright... so, this meal will be over family matters huh? We have quite an argument problem... don't we kids?"

Suki smiled as well. "thank you daddy." she said gratefully, and meaning it before eatting some more. there was a pause, then under the table she kicked GBlaze.
The fox jumped. "uh yeah thanks." the fox said, his mouth half-full.
Amber scoffed, but got up and went to the fridge, grabbing two eggs and trekking back. was it her fault she had the tastebuds of an ACTUAL fox?She cracked one open, spilling it over the meat, and setting it aside. She used her fork to spread the yoke across the food before allowing herself to cut into the meat and eat it. much better.
Suki grimanced as she watched her mother. god that looked so... disgusting! her ears twitched at her father;s words. "Argueing problem?"
"I don;t argue!" Blaze argued - completely destroying his statement.
Ah so he was right. it WAS a peace offering. Reshi chuckled a tad, watching the kids all pause.
