Amber looked up at him when she was finished. she stepped from her fox form then, wiping blood from her lips. "We can still take care of Mos and the kits at the same time. jakku fox kits don;t need as much intesive caring as human cubs." her tail swung. "one they become first-year fox kits... that is to mean ten years they no longer need caring. Whereas your human cxubs need it until nearly the second year."
her ears twitched. "Just because we will have more children does nto mean we have to forget Shiro."
Reshi blinked then sighed a bit, smiling. well... looks like he;s be taking a trip to midgar sometime this year. It was a good thing a LOT of their missions ended up in that regoin. He get his hands on a collection of braille even if he had to steal it all!
okay well... that was a devious thought, but he was an assassian what was to be expected of him?

Mos blinked and smiled, nodding. "That true. Sorry sweetheart, I'm sort of a newbie when it comes to Jakkus.... still." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked up at the clock. Wonder what was keeping Reshi and Shiro. "It just seemed like she meant undefined attention... you know?" He shrugged though. "I'm sure Shiro will get use to it like everyone else does."
It was never good to have a spoiled child...
Shiro thanked the woman softly before they headed back to the house. The smile appeared on the boy's face as he gripped onto Reshi's hand and the other gripped on the book. He'd be doing a lot of reading.

"we can not treat him like a first year forever. eventually he has to learn how to stretch his own claws." Amber said, taking a seat on the bed. "survival is part of learning how to be on your own and being okay with it..."
Reshi laughed a bit as they walked back. "Even if they are in Midgar me and Mos'll be sure to bring you back some next time we go out on an assignment to that region."

Mos nodded as he nuzzled Amber. "Was it good?" It was quite a large bird... but he was sure it would be gone by the morning. He might just have to go hunting for some more...
The boy smiled more as he 'looked' up at the man. "Thank you Reshi!" He said happily as they continued to walk back to the house.
When they arrived, he ran inside and 'looked' around. "Mommy!?" He shouted, listening closely to see where her voice was coming from. But there wasn't any. She must be upstairs. He ran through the house, avoiding everything. Once he bumped into something, he made a mental map of not to bump into it again.
He reached out for the railing and when his hands touched it, he got the map of the stairs, racing up them quickly. The room to the right was his parents... He opened it and the smile was on his face.
What was with that smile? Sure, a child's smile was pretty cute, but Shiro's smile was more... haunting... and evil looking in a way. But maybe it was just because of the situation they got him from made it feel this way.
He rushed in, waving his new book in the air. "Mommy! Mommy! Look! Loooooooooooo" He yelped as his foot caught to something (the chocobo carcass) and fell flat on his face. The book hung from his hand and slid across the floor.

Amber nodded with a purr. "Very good."
Reshi watched the boy race across the the house, sighing and not bothering to warn the boy to be careful. he never lsitened besides, he knew how tog et around by now.
Amber's ears twitched when she heard pattering feet, recognizing it instantly. the door was slammed open and her excited son ran into the room -
only to fall flat his face. she grimanced, knowing that probably hurt. she stood, wandering to the boys side. "Shiro?" she glanced at the strange item he brought with him, before kneeling down and nudging him. "are you alright?" silly question of course...

Mos winced too as the boy tripped over the large bird and fell on the floor. That must of hurt...
Shiro whimpered at the shock. He didn't remember a huge object being in the middle of the floor. If he did, he would was ran around it....
He sniffed a bit as he slowly sat up. Chocobo blood was swiped all over his clothes and face. The white cloth over his eyes and his bleach hair was all bloody as well.
The boy wiped some blood from his face and 'looked' down at his hand. This... was water? Liquid right? But not water.... water wasn't this thick. What had he fallen over?
He 'looked' at the sound of his mother and pouted but nodded. He was use to falling and bumping and tripping into things. He 'looked' around, particularly at nothing but pouted again. "I got a book!"
A book? Mos tilted his head as he watched the boy. Shiro couldn't see to read but something else came to mind. "Amber... maybe we should really get him a walking stick..." The only reason why they didn't was that Shiro refused to use one, just wanting to judge from trial and error or one of them would walk him around places.

Amber looked up and down her son's bloody form, leaning close to lick at a cheek. They were going to have to give him a bath...
"a book?" she repaeated, reaching out for the object that had slid across the floor, glancing at it. "wehat a strange book." she didn;t udnerstand any of it. they were letters where they? "When did the alphabet get so much more complicated?"
Her ears twitched at Mos' words and she shook her head.
"He won;t use it and you know it." Reshi said as he walked into the room. he looked at the dead bird and jumped back, giving Mos a strange look. "since when do you..." he pointed.

Shiro was use to being licked by his mother. He didn't question it. It seemed to be a form of affection. Why should he question it? "It's braille Mommy" The boy explained. "You use your fingers to read it." He seemed quite excited as he explained. He even bounced a bit as he walked out with Amber towards the bathroom.
Mos blinked as he looked up at Reshi and grinned. "Yea... but he should get use to it. We won't always be there to hold his hand." He looked down at the Chocobo and laughed. "Oh... yea.... right! I brought that home for Amber. You can grab some and cook it if ya want."
As Shiro was passing Reshi, he stopped. "Reshi said we can get more books from.... Midgar!"
Mos frowned at the sound of the last thing. "Midgar?" He hated going there... that slum-hole. He shook his head and sighed. "I don't think so Shiro. We won't be going to Midgar much anymore because Mommy has a few surprises for everyone."
The boy's happy attitude quickly halted. That grin-smile faded from his face as he grew the stern look. He 'looked' up at Reshi before being dragged fully into the bathroom.

"Braille." Amber repeated curiously. she put two and two together. "Oh, so you can read now!" she smiled as she led the boy into the bathroom.
"Yeah i supposed your right..." He grimanced then. "cook... chocobo?" that sounded... odd. and disgusting.
Reshi winced a bit at the look, then sighed. "i'm still going to have to go out you know. i'll end up at Midgar everntually." he walked over next to Mos, sitting down.
Amber's tail wagged a bit as she grabbing a washcloth, wrtting it in lukewarm water. she started to wipe off the blood on her son;s face.

Mos looked over at his partner and frowned. "Going to leave me with the thousand kids?" He joked as he nudged his friend. He wasn't looking forward to the next month.... but there was nothing he could do. He was their father and he would act like one... to the best of his abilities.
He leaned on his friend as he looked down at the large bird that was missing a lot of meat. "Don't go out of your way though, I'm sure Shiro will have lots to read at school. It will give him something to do while you're gone." His green eye looked up at his partner and he smiled. "You know he likes you a percent more than us."
It was true, Shiro seemed to favor the adrenalin whore. Probably because they slept in the same room and honestly, Reshi had a better attitude towards kids.
Shiro held his breath as Amber wiped his face. "Mommy, what surprises are we getting soon?"

"Yeah i'l help out still!" he said with a grin. "but i'm only the godfather!"
Reshi smiled a bit, but nodded. "Hey i'll keep that in mind..." he looked away at Mos last statement. "Favors me?" He chuckled. "i wonder why..." You're think the kid would favor Amber the msot. after all she was his mother.
Though, he and Shiro had always gottewn along easily. amber still didn;t know how to be a human, Mos just didn;t seem to care all too much. He was the one who answered the child's call to play with him, he was the one to tell him stories before they went to bed.
Amber smiled, and uttered one word. "kits."

Mos smiled as he looked at his friend who turned away. He patted him hard on the back and grinned. "Of course... hate to say it, but you make a waaaaaaaaaaay better dad than I could ever. And I'm a waaaaaaaaaaay better killer than you are. I hope you'll be ok out there by yourself." He pouted as he looked at his friend more.
Shiro was quite a demanding kid.... in two ways. He was demanding in an already spoiled way and demanding in his handicap. He was still a bit worried about what Momma Lance had said. From being a spoiled child to a child that would have more than one sibling at the same time .... it would definitely effect him. How, he wasn't sure. Maybe he would like having the kits around?
"When are you planning on seeing Momma Lance again? It's been awhile..."
Shiro frowned as the white, blood-splattered cloth came from his scarred eyes. "What are kits?"

Reshi laughed. "i'm a better dad with huamns. i can;t raise foxes!" he pushed the other slightly with a smile. but he was worried to. would Shiro adapt well to this drastic change? he knew Amber would leave no room for debate on the matter - its not like she could stop being pregenant anyways.
Shiro would just have to adapt.
"I uh... suppose soemtime soon?" Reshi offered with a shrug. his mission were going to get three times more complicated without Mos there to go trigger happy and to hear, sight and smell everything he couldn't. He grinned in an excited way.
Amber cleaned around his eyes with a practiced ease and comforting careful touch. she thought about his question. "... ktis are..." she paused. "children. we are going to have children."

"How do you know!?" He gasped playfully. "Like I've ever raised foxes before?" Unfortunately, Amber was right... she would probably raise the children more on her own. If she was going to raise them as Jakkus... Mos really couldn't teach his children anything.... since he honestly still didn't know much about the Jakku way of life. But... he'd do his best.
The boy tilted his head, his bleach hair shuffling a bit over his face. "Am I having children too?" He asked innocently looking.... well, as innocently looking as a child with gouged and slashed, scared eyes could. Before waiting for an answer, when Amber was done cleaning his face, he ran to the window and 'looked' out, not caring if he had blood on his clothes.
"Mommy, is Arn out tonight?" Amber had taught Shiro of the moom goddess. It always interested him.

Reshi laughed. "your the one who caught the Chocobo not me!" he nudged the other back. He didn;t want to even think about trying to teacha bunch of foxes how to hunt!
Amber blinked at the first question, chuckling a bit, but never got to answer as Shiro slipped from her arms. she straightened, wakking over and looked otu. "she is."
Her tail swung lightly and she shut her eyes, thinking of her goddess that she worshipped. hopefully this time, she would bless her well.
