"NOT THAT BAD!? WHAT FUCKING PLANET ARE YOU ON!?"
There was dead silence when Amber walked into the kitchen. Mos blinked and turned to see Amber in the door frame. The green eye went soft as he saw her ears bent. He hated when she looked like that. He looked back at Reshi and then back at Amber. "So uh.... do you know how many we're expecting...?"

Reshi rubbed his ears, then lookedtowards Amber and smiled. She didn;t look happy. Maybe it;s because she could tell Mos wasn;t.
"No." She said tersely, her eyes narrowing a bit. "Not even human women can do that and you expect me too?"

Mos frowned as she got defensive. Why the fuck was she always defensive. He growled. Lately Amber had been pissing him off. She being so protective and bitchy. It seemed like she was on her PMS for months now. She was being quite bossy....
He frowned and just looked down. "Just knock if off Amber. The dominant female thing is getting old. I just want to know what number is usual for Jakku's... that all I'm asking. If it human or fox. One or Six...?"

Amber looked at him. "I am a fox. i will have as many as my body deems."
Reshi grimanced. Well that meant quite a few.
"If you don;t want to raise them just say so. I told you six years ago i can do it myself." the female growled. she walked from the kitchen and back towards their room. Sometimes Mos' human-like attitude got on her nerves. he had no sense of responsility as a father - even when they were his kits!
Oh well who cared! she could do it...
it didn;t matter that typically fox raising was done by both mates. She could do it.
Reshi glanced back at Mos, then to the spot their female friend had vacated. He frowned contemplatively, trying to decicde which one to go comfort now. It was obvious Amber was made and depressed - in her own way of course. Amber didn;t cry, he honestly could never come up with a time when he saw the female fox cry even when she was phsyically hurt.
"Mos..." he started frowning. he'd always though her and Mos' relationship to be strange. sometimes even unloving. But they were half-animals. and Amber had been born a fox not a human. for her a lot of human emotions were strange and new.

Quite a few indeed. But Mos frowned. She WASN'T a fox.... she was a Jakku... but she would know better than he did. See, now if he was expecting maybe a human number... as in one, he could handle that. But he didn't have the money nor the ro--
He blinked and looked at Amber. She was probably going to raise them in the wild. As he heard his name, his ear twitched and looked at Reshi. A defeated shrug. If he was the father, he would have to help. Killing people would have to wait. He walked to his friend and put on a smile. "Hey... if I'm held up with a lot of kids, do you mind killing for the both of us for awhile?"

Amber trotted back to their bed, jumping upon it and curled up. she needed a nap or something. Just so she could stop thinking about this.... she needed to eat more - and not this human food anymore. she needed to go back out and hunt. she doubted human food was healthy for her unborn kits.
Reshi smiled faintly. "Yeah sure..." he looked away. "Sure you don;t want me to help?" he joked. he knew though that soimeone had to be making money for this family. but that didn;t mean he still couldn't help.

Mos nodded and smiled. "Yea, of course! I think I might need an octopus to help with how many kids might be running around." He watched Amber trot upstairs and rubbed the back of his head. "Hey.... do you think you can help by picking Shiro up from school? I think me and Amber will be too busy..."
He grabbed his coat and pulled it over, covering his red tail. "I need to go get some food."
A few hours later, the bleach haired boy sat under a tree in front of the school. He didn't hear any failure voices so he just waited, the teacher watching from inside. He amazed her... he had learned... braille already. And it was just his first day. There was something very weird about this child. She notched the metal on his neck. Who ever came to pick him up would be asked some questions... even if his mother didn't like it.

Reshi nodded with a bit of a laugh. "Yeah i can do that no problem." He pat Mos on the shoulder. "You need fresh cereal?" he joked.
Reshi trotted down the sidewalk. he paused as he reached the schoolyard, and looked around. There were kids and parents milling around everywhere. this was one called an organized mess, right?
"heeey! Shiro?" Reshi called, walking around a few kids, looking for the familar bleached hair. he caught sight of it near a tree and grinned, hurrying over. The boy was just lounging there. "Heeey there you are." he knelt down, looking at the boy's face. "How was your first day?"

Not quite cereal.... more bloody. Mos ventured out into the woods, making sure no one really saw him. As he walked deeper, he wondered if ALL animals were Jakkus... what if he killed a fellow race? He could that that was ok though. As he walked, he formed into a large, red fox. He stopped and smelled around. It was so different.
He didn't feel all too confident in this form. He was better with a gun. A really pussy to the Jakku clan he guessed. He slowly started getting deeper into the woods, smelling everything. A scent was finally found. What it was, he wasn't sure. He was sure Amber would of known. He growled a bit as he started running after the scent. A clearing was coming up and he stopped, moving slower and peered out.
A large chocobo was getting some drink. As a fox, he wasn't sure how he would take out such a large animal... but... he didn't want to cheat. Slowly, he crouched down and waited a bit before moving. When the large bird sat down, he figured this was the best time out of any other. He quickly dashed at it. The bird looked around quickly but was too large to move as fast as the fox. Mos grabbed onto one of it's legs and the poor thing fell.
He pounced on it and the thing started to squawk and carry on but soon it was drowned out as Mos bit deep into it's neck. Letting it go, the large fox's jaw as dripping blood as he circle the bird a few times. Well.... that was quite easy.... He turned into his human form and wiped the blood off on his jacket before grabbing it and picking it up.
Good God, this thing was heavy. He pulled it over his shoulders and started heading back to the house. He was able to get to the town without anyone noticing him yet again and quickly to his home. He opened the door with his foot and walked in. It seemed like Reshi and Shiro weren't home yet. He slowly walked up the stairs with the huge bird and opened his and Amber's door.
The huge bird made a huge thud as he dropped it on the floor. "Hey sweetheart~ I got you something."
Shiro looked up as he heard a failure walk and voice. A smile appeared on the boy's face as he nodded and stood. "I want a book." He tugged at Reshi's arm happily. "Get me a book?"
The teacher left the window and walked outside to the two. Who was this? The boy's father? She wondered where he got his pale, blonde hair from. "Excuse me" She butted in. She smiled at the black haired man. "Hello, I'm Shiro's teacher.... I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions."

Amber was dozing when she heard the door open and the smell of fresh blood met her ears. she sat up, sniffling wildly. was that...?
Then Mos came in dropping the bird onto the ground. it was! chocobo!
She blinked then looked at him, then she jumped down inspecting the bird. no gun wounds... teeth marks. "You... caught it?" when did Mos learn how to... hunt? "I did not know you knew how to catch wild life."
She smiled then. it was... a peace offering in a way. so he accepted his kits? she nuzzled him.
Reshi blinked, then ruffled the boys hair, grinning. He stood as well, taking the boys hand in his. "A book? sure."
He looked up then when the teacher came over. uh oh. "um... hello. I'm Reshi." questions...? "What... kind of questions?"

Mos nodded. It was pretty easy... the bird was probably dumb... since it was slow. Hopefully its meat wasn't bad. He shrugged his shoulder and smiled. "Me either. I guess I was just born to be a killing machine" He laughed but blinked as he was nuzzled. A small blush ran over his face as he wrapped his skinny arms around her and ran his fingers through her hair.
The bleach blonde hair bounced as the boy jumped happily. It wasn't very often when Shiro showed any sign of happiness. He did like to smile though, and Mos always wondered what he was smiling about.
The teacher smiled at the sound of the happy child. "Are you his father?"

She killed. "must be..." Amber smiled up at him. "Thank you." she hadn;t chocobo in years. they had been a rare treat in their forest - few ran through. she remember they were rather good tasting.
Reshi grinned at Shiro's actions. he loved seeing the kid happy. He looked at the teacher. "Godfather." he corrected with a proud smile.

Mos nodded and pulled her away, turned her around and pushed her softly to the bird. "Eat up huh? You'll need a lot of food for our kits to be healthy." He smiled and walked to the bed, sitting at the edge and watched her. If she was really like a fox, the kits would be expected next month... wouldn't they? Seeing that their mating season was in autumn.... that would make sense.
It was just odd that she didn't have a 'belly' yet. And maybe he could send that pregnancy test company a letter letting them know that it works on animals. He chuckled to himself and shook his head. He was still craving a cigarette. The green eye looked out the window. Wow.... his first catch went so well.... too well. It was easier than raiding a place. And he did it all with one eye.
He looked down at Amber again and thought. He couldn't help but get a chill run down his spine at a sudden thought... "From what I can tell... that boy has a lot of power of mako. It is critical that you take good care of this boy...." He looked out the window again. With who knew how many kids they would have in a month, Shiro will definitely feel out casted.... being a only child and everything. Especially for five years and than the constant attention from Amber...
The teacher smiled at the correction. "Godfather? Haha... I bet you are proud then." She looked at Shiro and smiled. "Your godchild has a lot of talent. At first I was weary but he proved me wrong. It only took him 6 hours to learn and understand Braille. It takes blind children about a few years."
She couldn't help but see the boy's odd smile before looking back at Reshi.
"He's quite the smiler too. He must be happy when he's around people he knows." She nodded then thought. "I only have one concern. The metal plate on his neck, it has a 'V' on it. W-what exactly is that?" She didn't want to sound nosy... maybe it was a weird way to make sure they knew were this young genius was. She wouldn't blame them...

Amber smiled a bit, before turning into a fox, slipping from her clothes to pounce on the dead chocobo. her teeth dug in, plucking off the feathers before munching into the meat. it was tasty and filling - it had a certain zest cooked meat didn't. the tang of blood...
She wondered how long it would take for her kits to be born. She knew that most likely she wouldn;t be having more than four. it was rare for jakku foxes to have more then that... But, it was all up to chance.
She couldn;t wait! Her tailed wagged back and forth.
'Braille eh..." Reshi murmured with a smile. "congrats Shiro!" he ruffed the boy's hair with a grin. No wonder he wasnted a book! he had thought that was kind of strange.
There was lull but then when the conversation let to... the metal thing, Reshi just laughed. "Uh, that;s nothing you need to concern yourself with..."

Mos pulled his legs up and just sat there, watching her devour the bird right in front of him. He never had raw meat before, and the sound of it didn't taste that great. He watched the blood splatter on the wood, knowing that that wouldn't come out. He knew Reshi would say something about it at some point... even if his friend hardly stepped into his room.
"Amber.... what about Shiro?" He slowly and softly said as he looked at the floor. "Didn't Momma Lance warn us to take care of him very well?" How can they take care of each child very well?
The woman blinked a bit as her question was blown off. Not to be concerned with? She looked at the boy who was clinging onto the man's arm, his hair all ruffled out with that grin still on his face.
"I-I see." She shook her head and just smiled. "Oh, as for books go, braille is very heard to get your hands on. You see, it's very hard to public books and only richer towns carry them. You're best bet to to buy them from Midgar.... but that is quite aways away."
She knelt over to Shiro's height and smiled. "Looks like you won't be getting a book anytime soon, sweetie."
The grin slowly faded and his face grew quite stern. It was 'that' look. He was tugged though and slightly 'looked' up at Reshi.
"But... I'll let you have one of the school's ok?" The teacher reached into her bag and pulled out one. "Here you go."
The boy reached out and touched the book slightly before taking it.
