She blinked then giggled, hugging him tightly. "SORA! IT'S REALLY YOU!!" She jumped a bit then look over at Riku who was still kneeling on the sand. She smiled softly and pulled Sora with her as she walked towards the one in black. "Stop crying and hug me!" She smiled and pulled his hair a bit.
Riku looked up at her with happy eyes and stood up, hugging her, and Sora. Finally, the three were together again.....but for how long?

After talking for many hours on the beach, they decided to finally to split up. Kairi let the boys walk around the island. Riku didn't venture out just yet.....but returned home, to his mother.

Sora had decided to explore before leaving. he still couldn;t get the image out of his head... the one Ansem had shown him. Destiny islands... in ruin.... being shallowed by darkness. he wanted to make sure everything was in the right place.
he ventured in the secret place. his riku, and kairi's spot...
'one who knows nothing can understand nothing.' Ansem's words rang in his head. he shut his eyes shaking his head.
Then his eyes landed on a picture, drawn by him and kairi when they were kids. he blinked. soemthing was new. he remebered, in a last act of childishness, adding a papou fruit, as if giving it to kairi...
but when had the drawing been returned?
His fingers skimmed over ths sketch. "Kairi..."

Riku gave his mother a large hug and she made his favorite meal for dinner. He smiled and changed his clothes into something that apparently his father wore. His mother couldn't stop talking about how tall her boy got....and just seeing her so happy made some of the darkness in Riku's body leave.
The talked over dinner, trying to catch up.
"You know, Kairi missed you and Sora a lot." She smiled. "Though, I'm afraid she was longing for Sora more...."
Riku stopped eatting for a bit and smiled. "I'm quite sure of that..."
The girl always wants the hero...

Riku wasn;t the only one getting a tearful welcome. Sora was being fawned over, complimented and cried over. he would have been upset if he wasn;t doing half the crying himself. he'd never been more happy to walk into his home, see his old room...
he was really too excited to eat, so over a cup of hot chocolate he told his mother of where he;d been what had been happening. all of it. they had only learned so much from Kairi after all.
But when the talk began to dwindle, Sora looked down at the table. it was now or never. "mom... i have to talk to you about something..."
"hmmm?"
"well... for awhile i;ve been having these... weird dreams."

Sora sighed, laying down in his old bed. it was so... familar. it made him grin. he sighed, rolling over his mother's words in his head.
'Honey have you ever heard the term homosexual?"
"well yes... but its not bad?"
"oh my heavens no! it;s normal. completely so for someone your age to go through this. as you grow older, you'll be more certain of it. Listen Sora, it doesn;t matter what you grow up into. who you love is who you love. and i for one don;t care if who you chose to bed with will be Kairi... or Riku."
"mom i didn;t say it was Riku!"
A giggle. "you didn;t have too."
well it made him feel more at ease at least. Sora sighed shutting his eyes. he felt exhasted.
But then he sat up, feeling panicky. wait a minute this was how it always happen! each time he went to bed then woke up he and Riku got taken away. "well then i'll just stay up, then it won;t happen!"

Riku too was in his bed....however he seemed to grow.....out of it. So he had to sleep on his side so his feet wouldn't stick out. he sighed as he laid there awake. He was too afraid to sleep....and awake world away from here once more...... Yes, he was finally afraid again....maybe more afraid than losing Kairi. Like it mattered....he'd never have Kairi as his own.....and he was beginning to wonder....was it kairi that he wanted?
"Oh come on Riku.....what are you? Going nuts now too." He sat up and blinked as he saw a blackish figure in his bed. He raised his eyebrow and poked it.
The figure jumped and happened to be a cat.
"What are you doing in my bed?"
The cat blushed.
"GET OUT OF MY BED!"
The cat jumped and ran out of the room.

"if i keep lying here... i'll fall asleep." he said logically. he sighed, sitting up then opened his window. he could go for a walk....
he jumped out the window. maybe... if he went to go see Riku...

Riku sighed again and sat at the edge of his small bed. His mind started to work faster than he wanted it to. Planning on things to buy....but he kept reminding himself.....that it wasn't over. Not with this random world jumping....either someone was playing with them, or giving them a break before something big.

Sora paused under Riku's window then picked up a few pebbles and began to throw them. they tapped against the window. he and Riku used to do this when they were kids too, whenever they wanted to play at night, but their parents wouldn;t let them so they snuck out.

Sora chuckled. "as great as that sounds, no. you can;t honestly tell me your not scared to sleep? we need to do something Riku or we'll be torn away from here again."
