Rivalry

[Reno]

Sephiroth watched for a moment, taking a quick glance around. he saw Josh and the weird man, both down on the ground and frowned.

[Jade]

" Here goes! My love! My anger! and all of my sorrow!!" Raichu swiftly forced his arms forward unleashing a massive wave of energy as it flew towards Deathsiege's body " Ten Times! Errupting Burning! Sekiha Tenkyouken!!" Raichus body flew backwards from massive wave of energy.

Deathsiege growled pushing his arms forward but the blast began to push im back, he growled holding onto the energy, it was massive... how could Raichu of...? he bent his knees trying to balance himself.

[Reno]

Sephiroth quickly flew out of the way, landing next to Josh and leaning down. "josh?"

[Jade]

Josh grimmaced trying to lift his body up but fell right back down... blood was seeping from the small cracks that had been made in his armor. " Were all going to die..." he coughed out a chunk of blood but stared out towards the scene... Raichu didnt have enough power...

[Reno]

"maybe. have a little faith." Sephiroth whispered.

[Jade]

Deathsiege suddenly put his hands in the middle of the blast and began to try to rip it in half " Im going to destroy you!"

Raichu growled holding his stance pushing the power out a bit more, Deathsiege was strong... he might... he might end up having to use his last resort... but there wasnt anybody strong enough to hold off Deathsiege for enough time for him to create it!

Josh sighed " Look... Raichus struggling..."

[Reno]

Sephiroth scowled and flew upwards and then made a few symbols with his hands. finally he lifted his hands to his mouth, clasping all his fingers but the index and middle fingers and taking a deep breath blow on them. Flames erupted from his fingers and then followed the way he was blowing, maically growing as they flew, becoming larger and stronger then they smashed into deathseige, swirling around him. if only it was enough to distract him...

[Jade]

Deathsiege growled and suddenly tore Raichus blast in half but it created a massive explosion destroying everything around them.

Raichu let out a loud scream as his body flew off into the air and suddenly slammed up against the ground. His head hit up against a rock and he winced just laying there for a moment " Im not strong enough..." he trembled feeling his body as it started to deform one level at a time... until finally he looked as human as everyone else. His body was beaten and tattered blood stains and bruises all over it...

[Reno]

this isn;t good not at all...Sephiroth looked around then flew downwards, landing on the grass and he glared at Deathseige.

[Jade]

" Nothing can defeat me cant you see that Sephiroth?" he folded his arms " Look I think Raichu is dead... its a shame his own attack killed him..."

Josh winced forcing himself to stand... everyone was going to die...

[Reno]

Sephiroth unseathed his sword. "well i'm still going to try..." he flew forward and slashed at the demon.

[Jade]

Deathsiege moved to the side quickly and just laughed " Your too weak.. just give up... tell me where is Gradd? I so want to end his miserable life..."

[Reno]

Sephiroth scowled and slashed again. but he knew... he wasn;t strong enough... what could he do?

[Jade]

Deathsiege blocked the blade then drove his other fist into Sephiroths body.

Raichu winced opening his eyes... slowly as he staggered getting up " lend me your power..." he was breathing heavily as he lifted both of his arms into the air " this is all I have..."

[Reno]

Sephiroth hissed and stumbled backwards. this wasn;t going to work and whatever raichu was doing... he would need time... i;ve got it!

He thought back to an old memory, when Rina had finally discovered the truth about their 'demon' sides.

~flashback~

Sephiros, Siaki, Rufus, Eve and himself were all crowded, huddled around Rina as she held up her clipboard looking both excited and nervous, but the triumphant shine in her eyes was obvious.

"so... why can we still do what we do.... if dagmir and the rest are out?" Sephiros whispered, as if what they were speaking of was a taboo.

"that's simple." Rina respounded. "because our other side was never dagmir, kisvir, jade, chidori and the rest. They were... us."

For about ten seconds they were silent, then siaki and Rufus finally erupted with a united "WHAT?!"

Rina held up both her hands, calming them before they could get out of hand. "i believe, this is what you need to know. When hojo had us birthed (at this she indicated her actual blood siblings) his first plan was not only to make us jenova's... children... but to also instate into us the four main elements of the world: fire, wind, earth and water. however... his plan backfired a bit. because sephiroth, eve and sephiroth are thins, they all had jenova and mako stimulate only a certain part of their body, unlike me were i got all three.

"basically, for Sephiroth the mako and cell enhanced his body. for Eve it was her magcal circutory system, which of course, as we have seen, makes her very well adapted to using spells quircker and stronger then any normal human and it much more succesion. and sephiros for you it was your mind, and i believe THAT is why you have both psychic and telekinetic ablities and why Sephiroth was unable to fight off jenova's coaxing to insanity was the same reason, because you two are identical twins despite how different you look.

"therefore, finding out his son was phsychoc hojo had to change his plans, and of course, before my birth he had reminded himself that yes, two other children were born, the shinra's. and when hojo saw how well the three of us got along with you two (she nodded to the twins) his plan was in motion. he coaxed president shinra into giving his children over to him and the experiments with you two began, and luckily enough you both survived.

"hojo hadn;t planned on that either. so once again he had to modify his plans. he had decideed on this: i was to be given earth, eve water, sephiroth fire, sephiros psychic, siaki wind and rufus lightning. because these are our powers and because of our examination into gaining them the very first time we can no longer be hurt by them. thats why sephiroth can walk through fire without being hurt aka nibelheim. (Sephiroth twitched)

"the point of the second side was done this way: he used two different ancient spells on all of us when we were younger and unconscious. the spell of binding, that was the one that connected our souls to dagmir and the others, and the second spell was the spell of expotence. that spell is the one that created our ACTUAL second side.

"there are two ways to ignite out second side. one is by willingly allowing it to take us over, and the second is when something in our life happens that makes us dependent singlely on one emotion. mine is anger, rufus is hate, siaki is fear, sephiroth is desperation eve is panic and sephiroth yours is... well its depression. don;t ask me why... but it makes sense. as you can see, these emotions are all negetive, soemthing that would be ignited when we were probrably being hurt or if we were in desperate trouble that side would come out and protect us.

"now the point of dagmir and the rest was to act as a memory obliterater. when our second side takes us over, they would awaken as well and fight for us, but as you can see (she glanced at Sephiros) that is not longer the case. nowadays if we use that second side, we will have total control.

"our father planned this all carefully. he used the emotions that worked on all of us best and he cancelled out many of our weaknesses as well. for example, in a fight i'm particullary reckless but with the second side... i'll think more AND as a bonus, magic becomes one of my bigger strengths. as you know, i'm not exactly a spell expert and that helps a lot. for sephiroth... you can use cure, which i know you struggle with that spell. for eve she uses her sword more often as a weapon and not a magic amplifier. Sephiros, you are unable to use your pshychic powers without your second side so you use it most often and pshchic is a strong power so a lot of weaknesses are cut as well. as you you twins, rufus yuou become less dependent on useing your gun and your lightning can also turn black and act like a weapon, sortof like a dagger. siaki, you aren;t scared of anything of taking chances and because your wind, you'll probably be able to fly. and as for that fact of wind as well, you can keep things away from you by causing a tornado and no one can touch you.

"as i stated before no one can touch us with the magic we use. because these magics are strong and commonly used, espescally fire and lightning, together the six of us would make a perfect time. also, if we are together it works like this: we become like one, fighting together to an almost unstoppable force. Sephiroth has the streength of body, sephiros the strength of mind, eve has her intelligence in battle and with magic while i have the speed, and the twins you work togeter as the spirit of us all, keeping us all on our toes and willing to fight.

"Hojo thought it out well. the chips in us will make us all die together probably because we wouldn;t be complete without each other. Also i suspect that because of all you twins and twirplets you minds were born together, connected thinly so you can speak to one another, feel one another, and when one of you use your demon side, the other will know it and unconciously want to as well.

"we were probably only scared of this second side because we were uncertain. when we hadve total control we can make sure people we love and care for won;t be hurt, but when the other were in us useing us to forget what happened they also were truthless, using the emotion that ignited the demon side in the first place to kill everyone around us. thats why rufus nearly killed pann on the airship. (rufus frowned in shame)

"alone, we are strong, together we are nearly unstoppable. i think hojo always knew one of us would know how to split dagmir and the rest out of us, i think he suspected me to because i was always so itnerested in what he did. he planned on this and know... we have power... and this is something we should tell no one and use wisely. got it sephiros? no more trying to kill Josh! or yourself for that matter."

Sephiros chuckled. "whoops?"

Rina smirked. "guys i know this is a bit much, but we shouldn;t be scared of it anymore. i;ve tested it out a few times and my throies are right. i can do magic in that stage and i'm stronger and faster its amazing! and of course, we can still die, but the thing is... it buys time as well. if we are ever caught somewhere alone and we have no choice... we can use it until someone comes to help. theres also... one more thing..."

Everyone moved closer and Rina delved this last piece of information.

"using that second side.... cuts off ALL feeling. you can;t feel pain or pleasure. it no longer hinders us because we can;t feel it. i mean... we'll lose blood and all but we won;t get dizzy from it we won;t faint or be distracted. the attack that can kill us would have to be direct, but enhanced as we will be, its not simple. its our greatest weapon and together, with all of us using it, we could take on anything. remeber this guys... because now that deathseige has arrived we may just need it. if only to survive one more day."

~end flashback~

"if only to survive one more day." Sephiroth repeated in a whisper then he glared at Deathseige. suddenly, red swirls flew around him and his eyes went red, like fire. His wing outspread, and powers collided and grew. "Deathseige, it will not be so easy."
