He sighed pulling her close and suddenly hugged her " I love you too... more than life itself..."

" Are you cetrain?" He is the heir to the darkness? But hes only human... Zeig stared off as he watched gradd walk away... he had come a long way in his training to become a dark knight... maybe he could be the on to finally defeat the shadow lord...?

Tifa smiled, snuggling against him. she was just happy... with him...

[Jade]

" Tifa... im scared..." he frowned holding he close " I dont want our child to grow up with his or her father being a monster..."

[Reno]

"don;t worry Josh. everything will be ok/"

[Jade]

" Dark Knights shouldnt be having families... it just brings more pain" a figure walked out from the shadows... it was the same man from the memories... a tall husky creature... " Gradd... its been such a long time... Heir to the darkness..."

Josh suddenly looked back as he stared at Zieg he stepped infront of Tifa defensivley " im not who you think I am..."

Zieg shook his head at him " and you carry the same sword I gave you... that dragonsblade turned you into the dark knight that you are, its just now coming out... the more souls you feed it the stronger you become."

Josh stared down at the sword and then at him again " Tifa... leave..." he didnt trust him... his memories where only vague...

[Reno]

"b-but Josh..."

[Jade]

" Do you remember what happend? When you foolishly allowed yourself to fall in love...? Your woman died!" Zieg said taking a step towards them " It goes against everything I taught you and your doing it again!"

" Stop it... it wasnt my fault..." he shut his eyes " It wasnt my fault damnit!"

[Reno]

"what are you talking about? i never died its Josh who dies." Tifa shot back, frowning. she didn;t understand.

[Jade]

" Hes not talking about you..." Josh frowned looking back at her " My first life as Gradd... he was my mentor..." he turned back at Zieg but before he knew it the Giant beast charged and suddenly pulled out his scythe pushing it into Josh's gut at the blink of an eye.

Josh winced staring at him " Zieg...?" he grabbed onto the pole trying to force it out " why...?"

" Youve been corrupted... a dark knight cant be blinded by love... and thats why you must die..."

Josh let out a loud scream " Im not that same person anymore! Stop... stop it!"

[Reno]

"no please!" Tifa cried, running toward the monster. she grabbed onto the pole trying to help Josh yank it out.

[Jade]

He frowned staring at her " You..." Zieg suddenly pulled the scythe out letting Josh dropp down to the ground " I can see his love for you... it was the same for her..." he turned around " I will not kill him now..."

Josh laid there staring up at him " Why...? Why did you...?" he jus shut his eye feeling the blood draining from his stomache.

[Reno]

"but... but... Josh!" Tifa cried leaning down.

[Jade]

Josh winced leaning into her my love... my anger... all of my sorrow... slowly a dark red myst began to form around Josh's body and slowly started to leave... the flesh on his right arm slowly started to grow back over the metal. He blinked staring up in Ziegs direction as he left " The scythe...?"

Your woman is alive in this world... but she loves another... youve already met with her once... but only once... Zieg took one last glance at him, the vassago's scythe had drained away the creature that had been trying to take over his body.

" Im ready to go home..." Josh said looking up at Tifa " home for good..." he pulled her close ignoring his wound and shut his eyes as he held her. As much fear he had... he was saved... He wanted to stop all of his misery... forever... and the only way to do that was to be with her... But he felt that this wouldnt be the last time that he would see Zieg...
