She turned to look at the clock as it stroke midnight. "You know...I am a guardian of a forest...I really need to get home to make sure everything is ok." She looked over at him and smirked. "I hope you understand."

He smirked staring at her " as long as you promise to come back, you amuse me human." he walked over handing her a medallion " as long as you wear this no vampire will bite you. Think of it as my gift of protection for you."

She took the gift and put it around her neck. "Why are you doing this?" She looked up at him oddly. He was going to let her leave? But she had to come back...?

She blinked then looked down. "oh...yes, I guess I will see you tomorrow then...should i wear anything nice or bring anything?" She started to walk to the doorway slowly as she kept an eye on him.

Kain came to his throne and sat down " Its up to you, but I wouldnt mind" he smirked reaching over grabbing onto the Soulreaver gripping it firmly. " Good night... my dear..."

She frowned as the door opened. She walked through it and could now clearly see how to get out of the place. She looked back and smiled. "and what if I don't come?"

Kain didnt respond as he just watched her, she would find her way back here one way or another. Thanks to Moebius time devices he already knew everything that would happen in his life... bit by little bit until his very death, and she knew nothing of her fate. To bear the child that was destined to both save and destroy this world.

She blinked as he did not reply. She shrugged and left the palace. She walked down the large steps and sighed. "I guess fighting you way does get you somewhere..." She walked into the near forest and yawned. "I need some sleep..." She climbed a nearby tree and morphed into a raven, flying herself back home.
The next day she stayed in her home...thinking about what to do. It was near 10 at night when she decided to get into her finest gown and head back to that hell hole. She wore her hair in braids and wore a long dark grey dress. She wanted to look pretty before she died. As she walked up the stairs, she held onto the medallion tightly. The doors opened before her and she entered.
As she walked into the hall, she looked both ways. The place seemed empty. She walked to the throne room and the doors slammed shut behind her. The room was empty and she jumped at the noise from the door shuting. "Hello?" She walked to the throne and looked around. nothing. "hello?"

All that was in the room was a flock of bats that sat at the top of the ceilings ledge as they all stared down at her. Though it seemed like they all where the same... moving like one being. The room was cold, and the eyes remained on her as she walked further into the room.

Her eyes glance here and there...but no sign of anything. She sighed as she placed a basket on the floor. She rubbed her arms and shivered as she looked at some of the artwork from afar. "hmm..." She turned and eyed the throne. Tempted by it's looks, she walked up to it and sat on the huge chair.

All the bats suddenly flew behind her sitting in the chair and formed into Kain's body. " Its a picture of the great hero who is suppost to kill the vampires lord" he reached down placing his hand on her shoulder. It showed two figures fighting each other, one holding the soul reaver and the other another blade.

She screamed and jumped out of the chair. She looked back in fright and sighed as she saw kain. "what the hell was that for?"
