Aya blinked but nodded. "umm...you should hold him then..." He then turned and walked upstairs. He looked in and frowned at Shinji. "In your sister's room now."
"no..."
Aya frowned again. "now."
Shinji rolled his eyes and walked to Luna's room and sat on the floor, folding his arms and sighed.
Aya walked into the room and closed the door. He looked at both of them and sighed. "Well...you all know what happened today. The baby wa given to me and your mother for the baby's mother has died and the caretaker was dying as well. He's going to be a new part of the family..."

the baby, Mao, looked up at Elly with a big smile. His large green, glowing eyes looked right into her eyes. he laughed slightly and kicked his feet.
Aya frowned. "what do you want us to do? We were begged to keep and protect this child. We can't just throw him out into the snow. You're both old enough to understand this."
Shinji growled. "I don't want to be a middle child! It's one thing when it's our real brother but for some stranger to leave their kid at our step and we need to accept him as our brother....no way!"

"oh aren;t you just sao cute!" Elly giggled.
Luna scowled at her brother. "oh cry cry. thats selfish." she glared at her father. "Dad, this is my point. how can you just do this. Haven;t you ever noticed? When me and Shinji were little you rsrely watched us and once that kid mom never had died off and me and Ji took up fighting you practically IGNORED us unless you ordered us to do something! Then this thing comes along and you welcome it with open arms?! some total strangetr of a kid?!" Luna stood angrily just glaring down her father in a rage of hate.

He laughed again and started to bat at her necklace. Some drool came down from the side of his mouth as he watched the shinny jewlery swing back and forth.
Aya frowned and shook his head. "I know...but honey...I was under a lot of stress and I was extremely depressed. I didn't ignore you two...i was having a hard time...with everything. and yes it's my fault that I didn't spend more time with you......i should have made things better...after the miscarriage. I see that now and I am terribly sorry...but, i have always been here for you and you both know that. With this baby...it will be like a second chance...a second chance that me and your mother need. You'll understand when your older and have children of your own...I know i messed up with bringing this family down in the mud for the last 9 years...but...I'm going to be here for you guys 100% now." he nodded and looked at them.

Elly smiled affectionately.
Luna growled. "Oh like that makes much of a difference. Dad i'm a few months away from being 18 for christ's sake! i'm almost ready to be out own!" she huffed, walking to the window and stared out. "Damnit dad... i need your support when i was fencing. i needed you when i broke my wrist. i needed you when i started purberty. i needed you when i was suicidal! damnit it dad! and where were you?! wallowing in your own god-damn self-pity! and what about Ji? those kids never stopped taunting or trying to hurt him! Wheere you there for him?! no i don;t think so!"
Luna hit the wall with her fist. "Damn it dad you can;t just... say sorry and think it makes it all better! you fucking screwed up! theres no way to turn back the clock and make-up for the time you missed with us your ALIVE children! but all you fucking cared about was one who died who didn;t MATTER! It wasn;t there in our lives and you just couldn;t let it fucking go!" she grit her teeth angrily. "fuck it dad. it;s too late to say sorry. if you think rasing that kid is gonna make up the time you lost with my, your only daughter or Ji your REAL son, go ahead and keep fooling yourself."
Luna breathed in slowly, furiously. she didn;t know she had held so much rage but it just came pouring forth. even her and Shinji's play fights didn;t dare compare to this. she was just so... so... mad. She;d never BEEN this mad before.

Aya had tears in his eyes but closed them. He bit his lip and opened his eyes slowly. "I...i know i wasn't there...i know i was selfish....it's hard coming from a family that was perfect...i had a perfect life...i guess i just couldn't cope with life when it started to get hard. The miscarriage really swallowed me...and i can't believe that I forgot about my own children." He looked up at Luna and frowned. "You're right...i can't say sorry...i can't...i guess what i need...is a second chance....with you and your brother. Just you...the both of you....i can't lose you two either..." tears ran down his face as he looked at Shinji then back at Luna. "thank you...i needed this..." he opened the door and walked out and down the hall.
Shinji blinked and looked down at the floor. He wrapped his wings around his body and sighed.
Aya walked down the stairs and frowned. "next week...we have to go to Midgar and see if the orphanage will take him. he can't stay here.....we have enough problems to fix here.....we don't have the time to raise another child."

Luna frowned, falling to her knees. she buried her head into her arms that were laid atop the windowsill and began to cry. The moonlight illuminated her.
Elly looked up and frowned. "Aya?"

Shinji blinked and frowned as he stood up and walked to her side. he knelt down and wrapped his wings around her. "shh..."
Aya wipped the tears away. "what? he just can't stay here...our kids need us..we don't have the time for someone else's baby. I know the orphanage will take good care of him."

Luna sniffed, twisting in his arms. she buried her head in his shoulder and sobbed quietly.
Elly frowned, bowing her head. "yeah..." we wouldn;t of had this problem if you just listened to them. she accused bitterly.

Shinji held her and sighed. He felt the same way...but not that...not that much anger. Even if they fought a lot...they were always there for eachother.
Aya sighed. "I need to take a walk..." He walked to the closet and grabbed his coat. He walked to the door and opened it. he turned slightly and sighed. "you should have told me how bad of a father I was....how bad of a father I am..." he turned and left the house, shutting the door behind him.
Mao blinked and stirred in her arms. His innocent eyes looked up at her again and he yawned tiredly.

Luna sighed, curling against his side as she cried, relaxing against her brother At least she had him... and mom. She didn;t need her father. someone who didn;t give a flying fuck for her. She growled low in her thought as she thought of it, her anger rising once more.
Elly winced a bit, as if sturck.

Aya walked down the path towards the town but stopped and decided not to go to the inn. He walked through the woods with his head hung low. He was...a horrible father....and now that he knew it...it would be hard to try to be a good one. The fact that Elly had to give birth to a dead baby was horrible...and it stuck with him even to this day. Seeing Mao...gave him an image that the baby wasn't dead...he had black hair and green eyes...just like him. He didn't want to let go of that baby but....maybe...this is what he needed to start acting like a father again.
Shinji sighed. "Hey...if dad does try now...you need to give him a chance...you know?"
Mao blinked as he looked up at Elly. he started to russle in her arms and wimper a bit.
