Yong sat at her desk. Her head was in her book, she was sleeping after so many hours of study...she had to pass that test tomorrow...if she did, she could finally get her pokedex...she failed the test twice already and most of the kids her age were on the road already. She was 17 years old, she was supost to hit the road at 15.

Gradd was sixteen years old, he really hadnt taken an interest into Pokemon till his sixteenth birthday when hed seen his first battle on Live Television. It was amazing a fully evolved Blastoise battling against a Venasaur, the two titans clashed at one another at incredible power. But in the End the blastoise had come out the victor. Since that day hed always wanted to become a water pokemon trainer more than anything in the world... tommorow was his big day to finally choose his pokemon.

The sound of the bell woke Yong up. She looked up and blinked. "Huh...?" She shot up and ran to the closet, grabbing her clothes and getting changed. "This is my big day Gastly! Wish me luck!" She ran out of the door and down the street to the school.

Gradd had gotten up early that morning and put on all of his gear, he had been studying like a mad man. He smiled walkign to school, today he would get his water pokemon and start his journey!

She ran into the school and blinked. No one was there. "Wha...?" Her teacher walked up to her and hander her an item. "Here..." She took it and blinked. She opened it and gasped. It was a pokedex.
Her teacher smiled. "You're old enough to have one...good luck...do you have a pokemon?"
She nodded. "Yea, I got a Gastly for my birthday."
He smiled and nodded. "Good...a very loyal pokemon...here." He handed her 3 pokeballs and smiled. "Good Luck."
She took the balls and put them on her belt, "Thanks so much!" He ran out of the school and laughed. "YES!!"

Gradd blinked walking into the gates and watched her " what? did she finally pass the test?"

Yong ran home and wrote a note to her mother. She grabbed her backpack and smiled. "Gastly...are you ready?" Gastly nodded and laughed.

The man nodded. "Well...it's your lucky day Gradd..." He walked into a large room with a few pokeballs sitting on a large table. "There are six pokemon here, 2 fire, 2 water and 2 grass...you may pick any one you wish...this school is shutting down...so there is no need for you to take a test."

"Alright, Alright...go ahead..." He sighed looking at one of the fire pokemon. "Seeing on how much you're interested in water pokemon...I'm guessing you will take the two water...if that's the case, please bring that pokeball to Yong." He pointed to the fire ball that caught his eye.

" um... alright!" he said grabbing both the water pokeballs and one of the fire. " thanks teacher your the best! but... dont I get a pokedex?" he asked looking up at him curiously

"Ah...yes." He handed Gradd a pouch and smiled. "And these are for you too." He handed Gradd three pokeballs. "Good luck..."

" awsome!" he turned then ran out of the class as fast as he could laughing, two water pokemon! Nothing could be better! One of them was a squirtle and the other... a psyduck? what the heck was a psyduck?!

Yong walked out of the house and took a big breath of air. Her Gastly followed her and looked around. He spotted and boy runing towards them and blinked.
