" uh..." he glanced over at her " what you dont want to try and catch something?" he frowned but ignored her throwing the pokeball " squirtle I choose you!" he shouted.
" squirtle!" squirtle shouted and blinked looking around.
" squirtle use watergun on that bush now!"
" squirt!" squirtle suddenly took in a deep breathe and a swarm of water flew out hitting inside of the bush

The pidgeys started to fly off as the water sprayed the bush.
Yong frowned as she watched. "I'd rather save my pokeballs for more worth while pokemon..."

" Pidgey is worth while! once he evolves into a pidgeot you can travel across oceans for free!" he then looked back at the battle. " squirtle jump and tackle now!"
Squirtle blinked but started charging and jumpe dinto the air using tackle on one of the pidgey's to initiate the battle

She sighed and continued to walk. There were other pokemon that could get her across the ocean...

after a few more attacks he threw the pokeball at the pidgey hitting it directly on the head. Quickly it engulfed it and he snapped his fingers " booya! I got a pidgey!"
Squirtle blinked looking at the pokeball then at Gradd confused

Yong clapped and frowned. "Congrats." She looked at her Gastly and smiled.
He smiled back and looked at Gradd.

Gradd walked over picking up the pokeball " alright kick ass!" he smiled then picked up squirtle " good work partner!"
" squirtle!" squirtle said smiling then blinked glancing over at ghastly " why ghost pokemon listen to beginner trainer?"

Gastly blinked then frowned. "Gast...gastly" He looked at the squirtle. "She feeds me and never puts me in a pokeball...she's very nice to me." He nodded and laughed.

squirtle blinked but before he could say anything else Gradd put him back in his pokeball " sweet I have three pokemon now." he smiled walking towards them " I was wondering... why do you keep ghastly out of the ball?"

"He doesn't like it...they said that you should keep one or two pokemon out to become close to them...they fight better and become very loyal." She smiled as she looked at Gastly.

" nothing" he pulled out his squirtle's pokeball looking at it oddly, would it really make it stronger to let it roam around like that?
