I woke up face down on the ground. i rolled over and opened my eyes. "argh!" the noon sun burned its image into my retina.
after my eyes adjusted, i stood up and looked around. i was in a clearing in the middle of a forest. a thick dense mess of a forest with no telling which way might be out. where the hell am i? a sudden gust blew my light brown hair in front of my face. i grew irritated and brushed it away.
not knowing which way to go, i decided to find out what i could see from a tree top. so i climbed.

OOC: Gradd, Robby has the right to RP  I looked around the forest to try to find some mushrooms for dinner. The grass was really getting long. It was cold and windy that day, but go figure...it was spring after all.
I looked under a few rocks and notcied that there were foot prints in the mud. I blinked and looked around me. I didn't see anyone at all. |

i saw a beautiful horizon of slow-rolling tree-topped mounatins, but no sign of anything significant. i sighed "oh man, what am i gonna do?" i started to climb down, when my foot slipped. "AAAAH-oof!" i felt like i'd been hit in the back with a sack of bricks.

I heard an odd noise behind me and looked up. There was a man on his back. I blinked and looked at him from afar for awhile. "hmm..."
I walked up to the man and looked down. He seemed to be in some pain. "Hello..."

i opened my eyes and saw a girl. she was looking down at me like i was from another planet. but then again, i did fall from the sky. i smiled. "h-*cough*hello." i tried to get up, but couldn't. it was like every muscle in my body had just given up. i forced them back life. "excuse me, but where are we?" i again labored to stand. this time, succeeding. "and where is the nearest town?"

I looked at him oddly. "Town...?" I laughed. "There has been no towns here since the monsters came a destroyed them... And who are you?" I looked at him closely and smiled. "You must be new here..." I reached my hand out and smiled.
"My name is Fiona...and this land is called Ramona. There are a few camps around...but no towns."

i grasped her hand slowly. "no towns? monsters? whats going on?"
my head began to spin as my vision blurred. everything around me slowed down until nothing but blackness remained. i looked down to see my hands and feet. but other than me, this place was empty. as empty as the soul of one who has lost their way.
a flash of bright light and i was back in the forest. in Romona. i looked at Fiona. "my name?" i drew a blank. "my name is...Kurd."

I looked at him oddly. "Kurd? That's a funny name." I laughed and shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you....kurd." Again I laughed. "So...where are you from?"

i froze. "i...i dont know." i drew back my hand. "i dont know where im from, or where ive been. i cant remember." i fell down to my knees. "why cant i remember?"

I blinked and frowned. "hey..." I knelt down and started to rub the strangers back. "It's ok Kurd..." He seemed to be in a real mess...maybe a witch took away his memory. "Let's get you to camp ok?"

i looked up at her. "thank you. thank you so much." i stood back up. just then, something moved out of the corner of my eye. i looked over to see a large creature walking on two legs. it almost looked like a bird, but it was bigger than me. suddenly, it cried out. "wark!" i blinked and pointed to it. "what is that thing?"

I smiled as I walked up to it. I reached out and pet its beak and looked back at Kurd. "His name is Leer...He's a chocobo...have you forgotten everything?"

"a chocobo?" i looked down at the ground. "I don't even know if I knew anything to begin with." suddenly, I had an idea. i looked back up at Fiona next to the bird. "could do me another favor?" I hesitated. "could you help me remember? I know you can't help me know who I am. but can you teach me about the world?"
