Kuni sighed. he didn't feel like argueing. His fingers went numb as he felt the blood runing down his back. They finally broke free from the fort walls and ran down the hills. Arrows started to fly over head and Kuni held onto Audace tighter.

Audace ducked his head growling. he was praying nothing hit him. he had to get Kuni to safety. he wouldn;t let them get him.

A hour passed and the tribe seemed to let go for the night. Kuni got on his feet as him and Audace walked across the valley slugishly. Kuni's legs could hold him anymore so he soon fell to the long grass and sighed.

Audace looked at Kuni and fell down next to him completly out of breath, "are you alright?" Audace asked worried. he was looking at the boy carefully worried that something bad had happened. somehting beyond repair.

Kuni's back was bleeding badly now. He didn't bother telling Audace. He would get too worried and then more hardship would come. He just felt like giving up right then and there. He rolled over and showed Audace what was wrong. He had been walking a mile with three arrows in his back.

Audace winced visibly, "this is suicide for you," he hissed it angrily getting up and tearing out all three arrows switly but not letting them stay in his skin, "god i should take you back to the palace right now. you're gonna kill yourself."

Kuni winced. "No.....i promised that I wouldn't come back without my army. I'd die for Japan's peace." he whispered softly. What he needed was a town that had good medical attention. His eyes flickered a few times as things started to go black.

"come on Kuni, don;t black out now," Audace said. he picked the boy up and started to walk away. he had to get to a town. NOW! he glanced around angrily. he wanted to chop his father in halfat the moment.

Kuni just looked up at the sky. he didn't blink......just stared up endlessly. He was a failure in his master's eyes. His master had taught him better than this. His mind was not straight anymore, he forgot what his master had taught him. He lost all this knowledge due to love.

"don;t die on me Kuni please!!" Audace yelled his eyes filling with tears. he couldn;t stand it if Kuni died, "don;t die you hear me?! you can;t die!!!" Audace ran faster not careing if the cut on his leg was bleeding again. he could care less what happened to him but Kuni couldn;t die.

Kuni could no longer hear Audace's voice. He was in total shock now as his body started to shake. His body was failing him. He never thought that this was the way he was going to die.

Audace looked at Kuni nervously, "Kuni?! Kuni!!!" he glanced around wildly, "help someone help!!! please someone hear me. dear god someone be merciful!!" Audace winced his leg killing him, "no i can;t lose you too Kuni... not again..."

Kuni's pupils went wide as the sky changed. It seemed to swirl around and around. His left lung collasped and Kuni gasped for air. he couldn't breath, but why bother? he was dying anyway...

Audace winced and he looked at Kuni fear in his eyes. he could see a town ahead. thank the gods but would he make it? he ran into the town screaming bloody murder for help.

Kuni could now see nothing at all. his right lung collasped a few minutes after they entered the town. His heart was searching for oxygen but couldn't find any. It started to slow down and soon........it just stopped.
