Kuni closed his eyes and started to hyme a lulliby that his mother use to sing him before bedtime. He then started to sing the song. His Japanese seemed to roll off his tongue as he sang the lyrics with grace. He started to rub his stomach slowly to relax his breathing, which he had done every night for as long as he could remember.

Audace smiled laying down and listening. he never really heard to many songs before but when he did he enjoied it. he finished off the piece of meat he was eating and turned on his side, watching Kuni. it was a beautiful song and Audace shut his eyes finding himself falling asleep.

when kuni was done singing he opened his eyes and noticed that Audace was laying next to him, sleeping. Kuni smiled, "i guess that song works on others besides me." He stood up and walked to the small tent, taking out the blanket and walking back to Audace. He laid the blacket over the other boy and laid back down next to him.
The night grew older and Kuni's eyes started to get heavy. he had no idea what time it was. The night breeze grew cold and he snuggled closer to Audace, soon falling asleep.

Audace smiled moving closer to the warmth he felt, unconiously. as the hours dragged on and the ywo boys slept Audace's dreams were finding himself back in the tribe. not alone though. Kuni was with him and everyone had them chained up. they were toying with Kuni making rash comments and useing vile language.
Audace was yelling for them to stop screaming for them to leave the boy alone. his eyes were wild afarid that they would hurt the prince when someone slapped him. his face slashe back into the stone behind him. he winced looking up and his eyes widened as he stared into a pair of golden eyes, "brat, say goodbye to the prince."
the man rasied a sword and threw it at Kuni slashing his throat. Audace screamed.

Kuni awoke when he felt Audace's elbow gab into his side. He looked over and frowned but then notice that Audace was sweating. Kuni pulled the blanket off and started to shake Audace. "wake up! wake up!"

Audace's eyes snapped open and he looked at Kuni, "wha?!" his breath was coming in quick gasps but when he realized it was a dream he started to calm down. he was shaking a bit and he just stared at Kuni.

Kuni forwned. "you must have had a nightmare. I'll go get you some water." He stood up and walked to the small tent and grabbed the bucket. He walked back to the woods and towards the small stream that ran through it. He put the bucket down then took it up when it was half filled with water.
Kuni walked back to the camp and put the bucket infront of Audace. "Get some of that sweat off of you."

Audace was sitting up before Kuni even came back. he smiled shakily at Kuni, "thanks. i feel foolish. i'm 17 and still scared of nightmares." he looked at the water and cupped some of it in his hands and drank it then splashed some over his face. it messed up his hair and he shook his head getting droplets everywhere. luckily the droplets could hide the two trails of teasrs that ran down his face. that damn dream scared him more then he thought.

Kuni sat down next to Audace and smiled. "don't feel foolish. I get scared too and I'm 20. Most people don't think that royalty have nightmares but we have many. The one that keeps coming to me is one that i had ever since my mother died. It was about my father dying and I was all alone with all of Japan to rule." He looked down and sighed.

"so you are older then me," Audace murmered trying to keeo his voice from breaking. he didn;t want to cry like he had when he was a child. then he;d feel embrassed around the prince. god he was such a weakling.

"Yea, so i guess I am." He looked at Audace and frowned. "I'm not going to look down at you if you cry. I know it's hard to admit it." he looked down again and sighed. "I have a hard time admitting it too."

Audace looked at Kuni and moved over to him, "i know but... i have been trying not to cry ever since my brother died and its harder then i thought. just the thought of loseing one more person would be unbareable..." unfortunitly his promise to himself was being broken by every tear that managed to roll down his face. he would have cursed but he just watched Kuni, crying silently.

"I suppose that you had a dream about someone else close to you die." He blinked then looked at the sky. "I didn't know that you had anyone close to you anymore. I thought your brother was the last one."

He glared at the boy then grew a small smile. "What exactly do you like about me? i haven't done anything nice for you or anything. You just seemed to be born liking me or something."
