Audace crossed his arms, "hey cooking isn;t girly! it[s a form of survival but yes i do know how to cook!" he stuck his tounge out at Kuni, "at least one of us does."

kuni mimiced audace and stuck his tongue out too. "well, in the palace, only girls cooked the meals." He took out his sword and handed it to the boy. "here, you can use my sword to cut it too."

"you're too kind," Audace said laughing taking the sword carefully. after all if he hurts the sword Kuni would murder him most likely. he looked at it interested, "nice..."

"Thank you. It's the Sword of Elders. It was given to the late emperor by the oldest man in Japan. It was a gift. It's said that the sword has some kinda power but that's just a piece of bull shit. It was given to me when my mother died. I guess they felt bad for me and gave me that special sword."

Audace nodded, "i see. well i'll go to cooking dinner then!" he grinned widely standing and walking over to the animal.

Kuni smiled slightly. "Ok, well i'm going to go take a short nap so wake me up when the meat is ready." He stood up and walked to the cloth that made a small tent. He walkedmin and laid down on the grass.

Audacesmiled and shook his head, "ok," then he slashed the sword down at the creature. just like old times... when him and eviter used to catch their own food afarid of being posiened. they were silly but it was good to be wary.

Kuni cloed his eyes and relaxed his body. His mind calmed down with thoughs and he took a large sigh. He curled into a ball and soon fell asleep.

Audace continued to cut and cook. he didn;t know how much they could ration and eat not to mention carry so he tried to make it reasonable enough. cooking it be fire was a little difficult but since he;d done it before it wasn;t TOO much of a problem.
once he was finsihed cooking and he even cleaned Kuni's sword, not sure how long it had taken, he walked towards the tent and looked in. he bit his lip watching Kuni sleep. sleep was the only way to keeo your mind off of everything and Audace was honored and happy knowing the young prince trusted him enough to sleep. one of the most vunerable part of being. no the real problem was wakeing him, "er Kuni?"

Kuni opened his eyes slowly and looked around. "wha...." he looked up at audace then remembered; he was far way from home." He stood up and dusted himself off. "Is the food ready?" he walked bast the boy and looked at the meat. "I guess so. Thanks"
He walked over by the fire and took his sword, shething it to its right place.

Kuni took a piece of meat and took a bite out of it. "needs salt." He chewed on the rough meat slowly, trying to make it into mush before he swallowed. "Other than that, it's really good." He took another piece and started chewing on it.

"er thanks. heh i don;t think animals come with salt and pepper though sorry." Audace walked over taking some meat as well and starting to eat.

Kuni took a few more pieces of the meat then laid back and looked up at the stars. He never really looked at them. They were just silver things stuck in the sky. It was his first night outside the palace. It welt weird and unwelcoming to him.

Audace watched Kuni silently still eating. if anything he was straving. unlike Kuni, he didn;t get three meals a day handed on a plate. sometimes not even one and not always the best. he had to fight for food. it seemed more rational to save the food but he'd rather eat then lose it.
