Gradd glanced over at him and nodded slightly " yes it has been raining all night, it stopped for a while but then started up again"

He sighed and sat there looking at the rain. "I want to go back home but i know this isn't my time. I live way far into the future, where there's no vampires. Where everything is white with a green tint. Where everything is so cold..." he looked down and a small tear ran down his cheek.

Gradd frowned " ill help you get home there has to be some time forges in this time that you can use... maybe moebius can help. He is the time guardian"

Memory looked up at him, still with hopeless eyes. "maybe. I really don't know if I want to go back really. Maybe i'm needed else where. I mean, I am a guardian. But i'm still to young to change anything. I don't want to get in your way Gradd. It seems like what you have to do is more important than bring me back to my time. I must be here for a reason right?"

" yeah I guess so... though I dont really see what you could do your only a child. But I guess there is a reason for everything"

Memory looked up and at the door. He could hear loud footsteps coming down the hall. Footsteps that sounding like holves.

Suddenly there was a scream and Memory stood up and looked at Gradd. "the window?"

Gradd's ears twitched as he heard the noise... it couldnt be right. Vampires in this era werent evolved and he new it...

Memory backed away and looked at gradd. "why aren't we going?"

[Jgains]

Gradd glanced over at him and shook his head " hide under the bed right now!" swiftly he reached to his side pulling out his dragonsblace, a very well crafted katana surrounded in flames " im not going to just stay here and let these people get killed"

Memory ran to the bed and crawled under it. It was very dusty and had about a million dust bunnies. He held his nose so he wouldn't sneeze and watched Gradd from below.

Gradd walked to the door as he opened it he could smell blood all down the hall as he looked around. " how could it be here...?"

There was a loud hiss and then a low growl. Suddenly the boards under Memory flew up and he screamed as the bed flipped over. A large green creature looked at him and grabbed him leg, pulling him down into the whole. "GRADD!"

Within a flash Gradd ran over and grabbed his arm before he could be pulled down " dont worry kid im not going to let go" slowly gradd's fangs grew from his mouth as his sight grew stronger as he stared down the hole " let the kid go and come and fight me beast!"

another hole opened behind Gradd as another green creature grabbed Gradd's foot and knocked him down. Memory's small arm slipped out of Gradd's hand and he was pulled into the hole. The creature held him tightly and started to run through the basement.

Gradd growled as he kicked away then jumped down the hole. " Kid dont worry im coming!" swiftly he ran chasing after the creature as his body changed into a vampiric form with fangs claws and hooves
