Gradd stared at him oddly then glanced over at the snow " uh... whats snow?" he asked with a curious look on his face. There where so many things that he had never heard of in the world

He blinked and giggled "you don't know what snow is? it's like really cold white stuff that's on the ground. It's puffy really. It always snows where we live. I'm sure it looks nicer against a blue sky instead of a green one." he sighed and yawned again.

Gradd glanced over at him and shook his head " I... I cant sleep, my body doesnt let me. Ive only slept once before but that was more of a trance than anything. Its one of the many curses that where put upon me, from my fathers blood. Normal vampires can sleep but... I just cant seem to do so. Ive never slept one day of my life"

Gradd paused for a moment as he looked back at the kid and shook his head " no ive tried many times it just doesnt work. Im not tired either its weird... im kind of used to it though. I guess if you think about it I wont be able to sleep till the day I die. Thats my guess atleast"

Gradd shook his head slowly " no sorry I didnt" he then glanced down to the town again. " you where probrably just hearing things, I can hear anything within a 20 mile radius"

Memory nodded. "ok." he laid back down and soon fell asleep. he felt protected with Gradd there. He was so big and strong.

Gradd opened the window as he sat down at the ledge just staring down at the streets. He would be there all night if he had too. The only thing he cared about was finding kain and killing him before he could do any damage to the world

The dreams that came to the small boy were not good ones. He tossed and turned all night till the room got to bright for his eyes. He woke up early and yawned. He could hear the rain still and he let out a big sigh.

Gradd sat there still at the window, he had not moved once all night. Slowly he glanced over at the child and smiled " hey kid do you sleep good?"

He shook his head. "I didn't sleep well at all" he crawled out of bed and walked over to Gradd. He looked out the window and stuck out his hand. The water hit them and bounced off. "still raining huh?"
