The creature busted out into the opened and started to run into the forest. Memory was screaming for his life. People looked at the creature and boy and screamed themselves.

when they got to the forest the creature looked back at gradd then continued to run deeper into the forest with the small boy.

Gradd's speed only grew faster as he rushed down the forest jumping through the trees. He was gaining on them and fast holding his sword at his back ready to strike at any moment

Suddenly the beast made a dead stop. It whipped the boy around, forcing his neck to be bare and it implanted it's fangs deep into Memory's neck. The blood dripped down the boy neck and onto his shirt. Memory winced then fell silent as he blacked out. The last thing he could feel was his body hitting the muddy earth.

Gradd ran up to the child as he lifted him up putting his hand over the wound " damn he bit you..." he put his head over his chest as he still felt his heart beat " well atleast he didnt force you to drink" slowly he reached back into his pocket reaching for a potion as he put it up to the childs lips " here drink it, it will help your woundheal"

Memory gasped for air franticly. "my lungs are failing...." his voice was weak and almost just a whisper. He looked up at Gradd with empty blue eyes and shook his head. "i'm not going to make it....."

Gradd forced him to drink the green liquid as he dripped it into his mouth " yes you are now just drink it down alright" he glanced around and frowned " he thought vampires would have more heart than to attack a child"

Memory tried to swallow the liquid and started to cough. He took a deep breath and tried to drink it down again. The taste was horrible but he didn't care, he just wanted to live.

when he found enough strength, he reached up and held Gradd. The wound slowly started to heal as the rain patted down the blood.

Gradd held him up as he looked down at him " thats it just let the potion take care of the healing." he wasnt sure what to do anymore... he couldnt go back to the inn people would know he was a vampire now

Memory looked around slowly, his eyes hurt. Everything seemed to be blurry, everything happened in a second. He rested his head on Gradd chest as his eyes scouted around the forest. "where did it go.....?" he whispered softly. He could feel his paulse in his neck.

Gradd glared back into the forests " dont worry about it alright? By now its long gone, I know it wont stop running till its sure its far from me. I could see the fear in its eyes"

Memory sighed softly. His eyes grew heavy as he tried to look around. He didn't want to close them, he was too afraid. He felt almost poisoned from the bite wound. The rain beated down on the both of them.

footsteps were heard close by as a man walked up to them with a gun.

Gradd suddenly began to shake him " hey kid stay awake im not going to let you fall asleep!" he stood up holding him up as he continued shaking him

Memory let out a small moan. He didn't want to get shaken, he just wanted to sleep. He kept his eyes open just so Gradd would stop shaking him.

The man walked up slowly. "you there creature, let the boy go and we'll let you live."

Gradd looked back at the man and shook his head " im sorry but I cant do that, its my job to protect this child. Now please put your weapon down"

The man frowned then looked at the boy's hands gripping gradd tightly. He lowered his gun and stood straight. "get out of here, you hear. we don't want creatures like you bring other creatures into our town."
