"Oh...." Tensai blushed a bit, seeming a bit ashamed about this piece of knowledge he didn't know. He was like his Uncle Terra - he loved to learn, but school had always been tough for him. He was an incredibly bright boy, so no one thought he would struggle to pass school, let alone get anything short of straight A's. But every D and C and occasional B he got laughed in his face when he was young, despite his father Sora staying up with him to help him.
"Well, that's good then." The orange-eyed boy nodded. "But I still hope the jewel doesn't end up in the wrong hands."
"Not without the Azure Flute they won't. I still wish people weren't so fucking stupid though." The brunette agreed, still rubbing soothing circles in the wing of the dragon. He spied over towards Ven, seeing him taking care of the overly young pup. Premature babies were a lot of work - the needed to eat every two hours, sometimes more, so they were constantly breaking their sleeping habits to feed him. They had to keep him warm at all times. And, like Ven was doing now, massages were a great way to increase blood flow to the possibly under-developed organs. She would probably never be a fighter, and possibly not a mother either, but she would have a life. It brought an adoring smile to his face, seeing the rowdy, wild teen he once remembered being so gentle and calm. Ven caught him looking and asked what he was staring at. "You." He answered simply.
"Brother? Loz? I got the mecdicine." Came a call as the door was opened after several failed tries - Kadaj had never had to open one of these automatic doors before. They were more troubler than they were worth; what was wrong with a normal key? When he opened it however, he chuckled as something dropped from above and hung from a web, a smiling face staring back at him. "Hello Loz." He reached up, allowing the dangling arachnid to climb onto his arm before he walked over to the bed.

"Right. Just because it cannot summon Arceus, doesn't mean having a part of our creator is good either. The Jewel of Life can turn forest into desserts and plains into mountains. It came make dead weeds grow and berry trees die. Arceus gave Damos this jewel to help save his lands, turning the dead, empty land into the beautiful Michina Town we all know today. Hopefully, wherever the jewel is kept today, security tightens now that the code has been stolen." "Woooow.... it kinda feels like.... you guys are all retired and now it's our turn to save the world!" Roxel laughed but it slowly turned into chuckles, to a cough as she looked away from the unamused face. "For one, we're not retired, Roxel and two, you're not going to save the world by sitting around and doing that. You are saving the world by traveling and helping people grow while you grow too. A hero doesn't go out looking for danger, it---"
"Excuse me." The two boys glanced back, seeing Gunnar standing behind them with an eyebrow raised. "This is a public phone and the only phone tv in the hotel. I gotta call my dad." Riku could see the boy from his screen and smiled slightly. This all sounded too familiar. "I won't keep you... thanks for calling and I'll keep posted to the news. You boys be safe, alright?" Roxel and Tensai said their quick goodbyes before the connection was broken and the tv phone went to it's usual screen. As they got off the little bench though, Roxel grinned at Gunnar taking his place. "I'd put your wallet away if you're gonna tell your dad you lost it~"
An instant blush ran over Ven's cheeks, before huffing and looking away to hid it. "ANYWAY, I kinda wanna keep her..." He began softly, still rubbing his fingers over her fluffy body, feeling her little bones shiver and shake. "I mean, sure, we could any of your mom's breed but I don't know... there's just something about her. She's the smallest preemie we've ever saved but she's a true fighter. She kinda reminds me of.... myself. I might not of been the smallest of my brothers but I sure in hell wasn't as successful as them for quite sometime. With a little care and love, she'll be as great as her brothers and sisters... just like me, minus the sister part, of course."
By now, Terra had left flygon to relax and bath under the warm spotlight, heading over to his husband. Blue eyes met blue and the blonde gave the other a smile, almost--- "Ah....h-hey!" He laughed, looking down at the little wolf who was suddenly sucking on his thumb and wagging her little tail.
The room was dark and warm even if the curtains kept the morning sun at bay. The sun was probably something the silverette needed. Still, Kadaj could see his brother sitting up some, still in a slouching position because he didn't have much strength. There was a comb by his side were one could guess he attempted to brush it out but with a bunched up snarl near the front of his face showed just how much strength he lacked. The boy turned his head, watching his brother come closer with tired eyes. "Where are we, nii-san?" He asked, his voice having more strength to it than it had in what seemed to be years.

There were some chuckles between the boys before they headed off the the dining room, remembering what Bonnie said. This would be their last hotel for awhile - so they had to milk the free food for all it was worth.
There was a laugh before a callused hand ran through blonde locks, making Ventus look up, only to blush more when a chaste kiss was dropped on his forehead. "You know I wouldn't mind keeping her~" He was glad, actually, that Ven was taking such an interest in the young pup. After Delcatty had passed, he had seemed so... lost.
"The Eterna Hotel." Kadaj explained, taking out the pills bottle and heading into the bathroom, the water streaming as he filled a cup. "Do you not remember? The people I stole the money from offered to let us stay here for the night." The bed impressed as he sat down, twisting off the cap with some difficulty because he had, too, never done this before. This was more then child-proof - this was EVERYone proof!
He got it unhinged finally though and, after moving his sibling's hair from his face, ordered him to take the medicine. He picked up the comb, settling beside him and started to get out the tangles that his brother couldn't, trying to be gentle though it wasn't an easy task. "They got us dinner too and Loz some pokemon food... and they said we can have breakfast too, if you like."

OOC: Ven: I lost the game. ;~; www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4cgLL8JaVIWhen the boys walked into the dining room, they too saw the lovebirds in the far side of the room, feeding each other little bits of their breakfast. Wow, they really hit it off fast! He never though Sanyi would find a girl, let alone in 24 hours! He nudged Tensai and chuckled, feeling a nudge back before heading over to the refreshment table. Bonnie picked a great hotel because this place had EVERYTHING! There were muffins and bagels, fresh fruit, danish and even a waffle maker! And his dad would have totally freaked because there we EIGHT types of coffee to choose from. Roxel grabbed a muffin and headed over to the waffle maker, watching Tensai test it out first.
"Well, it's a good thing we got here first or there wouldn't be any food left~" Bonnie grinned, pointing her fork over towards the boys.
Green eyes, almost looking like they were glowing, stared at the pills that were given to him. What his brother was explaining was not familiar to him. All he could remember was--- "All I know was that I was warm." His voice was nonchalant sounding, though it could have been his lack of strength. The first pill was raise slowly and placed into his mouth, the water going down easier than it had the night before. The second was taken quickly after and the empty glass was placed on the bed besides him. "I don't remember much... I guess I... just tried to suppress things to make it easier." He felt guilty, shutting himself from the outside world and even still, his brother took such good care of him. Maybe because that's what brothers do.
His eyes snapped open suddenly and his head jerked, wincing some as the brush was forced through his hair. "...Loz some pokemon food...." Why would Loz need...? When Kadaj's worried tone filled his head, he snapped out of through, looking down at the green spider on his brother's lap. "Loz..." He wasn't surprised when the spider rose and crawled onto his own lap, his pale hand reaching out to rub it's abdomen, seeing the marks change into a smile.
"That's right.... he's gone." The smile quickly turned into a sad looking face as big black eyes looked up at him. Silence filled the room but it was their heads that were full of life as they remembered a time when the real Loz was with them.
"Hahaha!! Come on! You can't keep up!" A youthful voice called as a young boy ran across the empty lot that was turned into a little field for children to play in. The boy had long, silver hair which was almost the same color of the Pokemon that was floating behind him. It was round in shape and had some balls around the edges and a ball on it's flat face, which mocked the look of a nose. "You wish!" Another boy called, this one having semi long silver hair, running after the first. And in tow was the last boy, much larger built than the others. His hair was the shortest and because he was a bit larger, he wasn't as agile, nor was his little fat pokemon with a big mouth.
"W-wait!" He called but both of the boys disappeared in an alley, leaving the other alone. When he realized he lost the two, he began to cry and so did his pokemon. "Don't cry Loz..." The boy whipped around to see the boys behind him and his hair was ruffled.
"They're all gone..."

The two girls were giggling over the two boys stuffing their faces - right at the table too! - that they didn't notice that another was walking over, setting her plate down. They looked up in confusion - and then surprise when they saw it was Lucina. "We need to talk." "Um... okay." Roxanne said, trying not to sound suspicious. The blonde sat down, looking down at her food but not seeming too terribly interested in it. Finally, she spoke, "What are we going to do with them?" "...What do you mean?" "Well... Namine and I saw where they lived. They aren't inside or anything - they just live in some alley. I mean... the second we put him back on the streets, he's just gonna get worse again." This was unexpected. Roxanne had half the mind to tease here about how much she cared. "What are you guys talking about?" Ten asked curiously, before sitting down with them, Roxel at his side. "We're trying to figure out what we should do with Kadaj and Yazoo. What about an orphanage?" Roxy asked. The other blonde frowned and shook her head. "Yazoo is too old. Or at least, he looks too old. Isn't there like... homeless shelters?" "Not exactly. There is... but only for the night and even still - there's only so much room. If they aren't there in time, they won't get a room." Roxy said. "But there are free clinics..." "But he can't stay there. And my mom says free clinics aren't always the cleanliest hospitals you can go to - or the best care." "Well," Tensai jumped in, "Why not with one of our parents?" Everyone looked at him as if he just implied the world was exploding. "What?! You guys just ruled out orphanages, clinics and shelters. What else is left besides kicking them back to the curb? It would just be until they got better."
Kadaj stared at the far wall with comment for a few moments, too lost in his memories of happier times. Times he felt guilty for taking advantage of because they had ended so soon. He shut his eyes before he could think of that panic, the burning heat, the sounds of his siblings screaming.
He shook his head before drawing his arms around his brother, holding him close. "I'm not gone brother, nor are you. We still have each other." But, even though they did, it was nothing compared to what it used to be like.

Bonnie shook he head as she rolled her eyes, knowing only Tensai would come up with that idea. "You know Ten, half the reason parents agree to their kids adventuring is to get them out of the house. Why would they want to watch some other kid while theirs is away?" "Come on Bon, that's kinda mean." Roxel pouted, actually talking with his mouth empty of food this time. "WE'RE strange kids that they decided to watch... and to love... and to take care of. I'm sure they could find it in their hearts to take in these two and take care of them while we're gone. Besides, what else do they do while we're away?" "Have sex?" "JEEZ!" Roxel turned a bright red, trying not to get any mental pictures but it was hard!
After awhile discussing the topic, they were joined by another two who had finally realized they weren't on some cloud in the middle of the sky. "That sounds like a great idea!" Namine chirped, only getting an eyebrow raised at by the brunette girl of the table. Seriously, when did her opinion matter? She just got rights into the group because Sanyi was obsessed with her. "What does?" Another voice made they all look back, seeing Gunnar walking over with some slouch. He must of had quite a talking to. "Mom's on the phone, she wants to talk to you." He thumbed behind his back and without a word, Lucina gave her brother her spot before leaving the dinning area.
"We're thinking about one of our parents could help out Kadaj and Yazoo until they get on their feet." "But their orphans... old orphans...." Gunnar put, not wanting to step on some toes. "Yea? So? Maybe they can find a job and get enough money to get a small place of their own?" "Or maybe they could just steal someone else's wallet and get a small place of their own..." Gunnar spat, still not trilled that his money was all used up, even if it was for a life or death situation.
"Mmmm....." Yazoo faintly agreed, looking down at the spider again who was just watching them. Of course his Bronzor didn't make it... they were weak against fire and it could fly so high... and Loz was never good at running... He shook his head, not wanting his memorize to come back just yet. "Come on, I think I would like some of that food... it's been awhile since we had a hot meal, hasn't it?" He let his brother help him out of bed and gather himself. For the first time since he awoke, he realized he was wearing different clothes. They were a bit lose but he could guess they weren't his own. They did the job and together with the help of Kadaj, they left the hotel room and headed to the elevator, unaware that their future was being planned out by the kids on the ground floor.

"Gunnar," Tensai said warningly, though his voice wasn't really... un-cheery enough to give it much bite. "It's not that simple and you know it." It was easy enough to say 'get a job' but how would they keep up with their hygiene? How would they get the clothes to make their appearance look good? And how did that help Yazoo get better now? He sighed finally. "Well, I can ask my parents then. My dad would agree." "Yeah, and then Uncle Riku will throw a fit." Roxanne put in. "Maybe, but my dad is good at convincing him sometimes." Tensai nodded. It's not like Roxas and Axel could take them in - they already had their hands full with the Pokemon. He also remembered Bonnie saying something about her daddy taking care of a premature Poochyena - they were practically a full-time job, so they were out too. And he just couldn't wrap his mind around his Aunt Aqua saying yes - and after that verbal beating Sanyi had gotten just a few days prior, he doubted he was looking forward to talking to her anytime soon.
So that only left one option. Or so he thought.
"Hey mom," Lucina said as she sat down at the booth, "Daddy wasn't too hard on Gun, was he? I really hope not, because-" She looked around as if to make sure no one was listening in, before she looked at her mother, "He didn't actually lose it... he got it stolen." This seemed to take her mother by surprise and she asked what happened. "Well, we were in the store, and there was this orphan kid, Kadaj, who just took it and ran off with it. Gunnar chased after him and all to get it back, but we found out that he stole it for his brother. He's really sick. So Gunnar let him keep it so he could buy some medicine." She hesitated, knowing her mother might not approve of what they had done next. She always told her not to talk to strangers.
But she also always told her to help the less fortunate. Mixed signals anyone? "And... we sort of um... invited them back to the hotel with us." Thankfully, either the shock of this news delayed her mother's response, or she wasn't angry with her - yet. "And, he seems to be a bit better today, but we don't know what to do now. Bonnie can't afford any more days and if we just leave them now... He's not going to get better."
"Alright Nii-san," Kadaj said, sounding cheerful that his brother had some of his appetite back. He wouldn't remind his sibling that they had had a warm meal just last night - it was obvious he didn't remember. The elevator ride was somewhat fun - he had to fight an almost childish thought of jumping when the elevator started going. He remembered he and his brothers would always do this because if they jumped at just the right moment, they would, as their father said, break the laws of physics and jump so high they could almost touch the ceiling.
But he wasn't five anymore, and without Loz it wouldn't be the same. So he just stood there and when they got to the lobby, he helped his brother to the dining room. The smells that filled the room made Kadaj's mouth water and, seeing the table full of food just ready for the taking, he could have cried - but didn't because, honestly, that would be humiliating. When was the last time his stomach would feel this full?
"Hey!" Came a cheerful call making them look over, seeing the table full of kids. He noticed his brother tensing beside him and said to him softly, "They're the ones who helped us."

"Hmph...." Gunnar frowned, not liking the idea that they were coming up with. How could this kid be so sure his dad would let them--- "Hey," He nodded, everyone glancing back to see what he had spotted, only to get a look at the two silverette brothers. "Speak of the devil..." Roxel was the first to waved them over and with a bit of persuading, they headed over. Roxel pulled away from his sister, squishing up against Tensai to give them some room as chairs were pulled over and the sickly one sat down. He was looking a million times better than the night before! He might even have.... nope, he was still pale and if he had not known his uncle Riku, he would of though he was already dead! A ghost pokemon in the making!
There was some whispering between the two and Kadaj turned, leaving them all in silence to fill up two plates. It was obvious how nervous Yazoo was since he help no eye contact and fidgeted with his fingers. It was Namine who cut the thick air. "So, how are you feeling? You look much better today. You must have a strong will to still be alive after all that..." All the boy did was bow his head some and relied; "Thank you for your generosity... If it wasn't for my brother and your----" "There's no need to thank us," Everyone was a bit shocked to hear Gunnar cut him off, getting ready for quite the insult about his stolen wallet but they were even more shocked to hear the rest of his sentence. "it was the right thing to do. You'd do the same for one of us, right?"
This made the boy look up, his seemingly glowing eyes peering through his long, silver hair. "Yea.... though.... we aren't good at saving anyone...." His voice was more shallow than before, everyone quickly guessing that he meant the family he no longer had.
The woman on the other end of the tv phone did look incredibly shocked but as her daughter winded down the tale, her expression changed as well. One that looked proud and please. "Oh, Luci... you and your brother have turned into such wonderful citizens! I am so proud of you!" She could be a little weird at times. "And don't you worry about Gunnar, I'll make sure to sneak him some extra cash for his thoughtfulness! Matter of fact, I think we can help you, dear." She smiled, her brown swirly hair bouncing with excitement. "How about we take care of your little friends until they get back to 100%. I just hope that don't mind the long trip back to Mauville City. I'm sure our Staraptors will make their travel easy! I will be there tomorrow morning to pick them up!"
There was a muffled call in the back but the woman just turned her head slightly, not breaking visual contact with her daughter before saying. "You have no opinion on this matter dear!" The Almasy father had no idea what his wife just agreed on.

The team glanced at the silverette, most of them unsure how to respond to that. How do you tell someone it's okay that there family is dead? "Yazoo..." Tensai started, "I'm sure that's not true..." The silverette didn't respond just continued to look at the tablecloth as if it held all the answers.
There was some giggling on the other end, Lucina smiling at her mother. "Thanks mom, you're a lifesaver!" Her poor dad was sure in for a surprise though. They shared a couple more words and plans, before they said their goodbyes and Lucina hung up the phone.
She stood and walked back towards the dining room, feeling strangely ecstatic. She never thought she would be so overjoyed to help someone out. She looked around when she walked in seeing the group had gotten bigger since she had last been there. She spotted Kadaj over at the food table, and walked over, "Need any help?"
When the two returned to the table, it was strangely quiet. Even the normally sociable ones at the table seemed to be lost for words. The plates were set down and Lucina handed the tall silverette the drinks before the table had to squeeze over some more for Luci to sit down as well.
"Uhh...sooo...?" The ribbon-wearing blonde looked around in confusion, feeling as if she missed out on something. "What's um... going on?" The others made some non-committal grunts and noises, but nothing to really draw off of. "Ooookay... well then I have a question." She glanced at the two silverettes curiously, before asking, "Is it just me, or do your guy's eyes glow?" It was Kadaj who looked up, raising an eyebrow. "...Well, if your asking if your imagining things, you're not. They do glow. All of my brothers' eyes glowed." "Why is that?" The silverette just chuckled and shook his head. "You wouldn't believe me even if I told you." "Try us," It was Roxy who spoke up this time, "My brother can believe anything. He still believes our dad has a sleeping illness when he's just lazy." "Hey! It is true!!" "Shh. And no it's not." She nudged him before looking back at Kadaj curiously. In fact, the whole table was, all suddenly very curious. Yazoo suddenly looked uncomfortable. "Nii-san..." "What can it hurt?" Kadaj said calmly to the other before he nodded as if making a decision.
"It's really quite simple. Our parents were Pokemon scientists - they were very dedicated to their work though, perhaps a bit foolish sometimes. When they were still young, they were hired by a man known as Giovanni." "Giovanni... you mean the... Team Rocket Leader?" Tensai ventured hesitantly. "Correct. He hired them so they could work with Project M2. It was better know as the cloning project - for Mewtwo." The table was quiet, all of them staring at the the silverette in shock. "I hope I don't have to go into details regrading that." When no one spoke up, he continued, "Anyways, my parents were some of the few who survived after Mewtwo got loose and destroyed the laboratory. They took what was left of the research and fled to Sinnoh - but they, my father especially, wasn't about to give up the research. He claimed Mewtwo was so violent because he was unstable - but maybe if they bound the cloning serum to something already alive and developing, it might work more effectively. So... when my mother was pregnant with my first brother, Sephiroth, he injected the serum into my mother's womb."
All of them were staring at him, some of them in blatant horror. "A-And...?" Sanyi said nervously. "Well, it was fairly harmless to my mother - the only change was her eyes. They used to glow like ours, but much more prominently - myself, Yazoo and our brother Loz simply inherited it from her. But our eldest brother... well..." Kadaj frowned. "They said he was... unnatural and insane. That he had some physic abilities and often used them in horrible ways. I never really knew him though - only know what stories I've heard. I was only about three, and he was much older than us - about eighteen." "What happened to him?" Tensai asked. He shrugged, nonchalantly, "He killed himself."

A fork was put down in an act of shock and total... ignorance. The boy lip pulled up in a weirded out, disgusted grimace. There was a fine line between unbelievable and pure bullshit. This was a pure bullshit case if Gunnar has ever heard one. Sure, their eyes glowed but cloning? Insanity? Mewtwo? That was all a bit too much for him. For all he knew, these kids could have been subjected to toxic waste due to the floods or fires around the area. Though this was a 'green' city, not all natural things were good for you. Like berries that poisoned or paralyzed, some even making you fall asleep. If he could guess, these two had to come up with some pretty fancy lies to get away with things but this wasn't passing him so easily.
Xel was just blown away. He could almost feel the bottom of his jaw hit the table at the wild story. So he WASN'T seeing things! Wow! How cool! Someone who worked with Mewtwo!
Bonnie, much like Gunnar, didn't know what to do with Kadaj's blunt story of cloning and having scientist for parents. Or more so, having scientist for parents and not knowing enough to take care of themselves when they were on their own. Certainly these two could have come up with some idea on how to stay healthier. She tapped her fork against her plate, glancing at her girlfriend and seeing just how much she was buying it.
"That's....quite a background..." Namine was the first to talk, seeing the grin on Kadaj's face reiterating 'You wouldn't believe me even if I told you.' He was kinda right. "How did you end up here? Was this where they fled?" Oh come on, Namine.... don't feed their stupid story. The boy across the table glared. "Mmmm.... before the floods, the forest were burned and it caught our house on fire. It was during the night while we were all sleeping and..." Yazoo started but he couldn't continue, his unnatural glowing eyes slowly returning to the table, just staring at the warm food before him that he still hadn't touched.
"Maybe this ain't the best thing we can talk about over breakfast..." Bonnie interrupted, looking out for Yazoo's best interest. Now that he was healthy, his mind could work better and things that he once suppressed were rearing their ugly heads. He needed to get healthier physically before he could work on his mental health. "We're all orphans, actually. All but Gunnar and Lucina here, oh, and Namine...?" The other brunette nodded, still sort of feeling guilty. At least she wasn't the only one... "So we all have a story of our own and how we got here today. Some of our memories are better than others. As for myself, I can't remember much because I was so young when I was found by the shore, surrounded by broken, wooden boards from a shipwreck. All I can remember is a pokemon in a cage and the blurry faces of my parents and a muffled sound of their voices."

Lucina raised an eyebrow, sharing a glance with her brother who had a, 'what bullshit is this' look on his face. She couldn't help but agree. There was no way in Arceus' hell that that story was real!!!
See? Roxanne just knew her brother would believe it. He was SO gullible. As for herself, Roxanne just couldn't seem to wrap her mind around that. To do something like that to your own children... that was just... evil.
Sanyi too was looking a bit doubtful about whole thing. But then again... he'd never met anyone whose eyes glowed before. He'd only ever seen Pokemon's eyes do that. Then again, if anyone should understand unlikely outcomes, they should. After all - all of their parents got an Eevee coin from the special seven-draw. Including his mother, Fuujin, who had given her coin to the sea rather than keep it. Ironically, these same eight people would meet in one place, and later save the world.
But Ten, like Roxel, looked at the two in admiration. What these two must of had to go through in their young lives... as if the tragedy of losing their family wasn't enough, they also had to live with the adversary of their own upbringing.
Kadaj meanwhile just seemed as nonchalant as ever, as if what he had just told was on par with telling everyone how to knit socks. He didn't seem to care whether they believed him or not. It was Namine who brought up a more sensitive topic though, and, if not for Bonnie, could have even spurred a bit of a fight. "Hmm... is that so?" Kadaj asked, honestly surprised when he learned over half the people at the table were orphans just like himself and Yazoo. He nodded slowly to her story, glancing over at the other's, but no one seemed very willing to share their own stories - but this did strike him as curious. He tapped his brother's plate, "Eat Nii-san. You need to get strong." He watched him pick up his fork before he pointed his own fork at Roxanne, "Yet you said you have a father."
The girl shifted uncomfortably, before she nodded tentatively. "Yes. We were all adopted. We-" She waved her hand at the other orphans, "Are all cousins now." "I see..." Kadaj said, nodding slowly. "Well, that was quite... fortunate for you all." He didn't seem snideful or jealous when he said it, but Roxanne couldn't imagine their wasn't something there.

The rest of breakfast felt a little awkward, as in everyone pretty much just sat around and watched Yazoo eat. It was slow and painful and Gunnar couldn't help but keep his eye on the clock. When the first plate was empty, another was placed down. Namine gave them a soft warning that if they ate too much because they were starving, they would throw everything up and keep eating. It was very unhealthy and she had seen it before after the floods. It wasn't a pretty sight and it could possible become an eating disorder. The brothers took her warning and ate a bit slower, making Gunnar inpatient. Some of them got the idea and politely excused themselves, stating that they needed to get their things together because their checkout time was noon.
Roanne, Roxel, Namine and Sanyi stayed with the silverette twins while the rest headed back up to their rooms to get their things together. As they stood in the elevator, waiting to come to their floor, Bonnie sighed and closed her eyes. "So, who's gonna call their bluff?" "I'm glad I'm not the only one hearing shit." "What!?" "Oh really, Tensai... you believe what that kid said? Cloning and experimenting and all that. Mewtwo was a legend that our parents grew up with. If they're really the kids of the scientist, they would have been elders by now. That's a little crazy, don't you think?"
Lucina of course backed up her little brother, finding some flaws herself but when the door dinged and opened, they split up to go to their respected rooms. Gunnar and Tensai argued down the whole length of the hallway and with a furious push on their hotel room door, Gunnar went stomping into the room, only to get smashed in the face from something dangling in the threshold. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! FUCKING SPINARAK!"

"How can you say they are lying?! You don;t even know them!" Tensai was saying and when Gunnar snapped back he growled, "Well okay, my dad was saved by Darkrai - do you believe that!" "NO!" "Why not?!" Before Gunnar could give an appropriate answer, he opened the door - only to run into Loz. Literally.
His yell made the face on the spider's back turn said before it skittered up it's web and hid in the corner. "Ah Loz! Don't be sad! He didn't mean it!" The brunette snapped that he damn well DID mean it but Tensai sent him a glare before he stomped into the room, carrying the chair that was at the desk over to the corner of the room and stood on it, trying to coax the frightened Pokemon down. "Come on little guy, it's alright." Gunnar grumbled something about how it would be better for him to just stay up there, but Tensai ignored him. Eventually, he managed to get the shy creature to crawl onto his arm, carefully climbing down and dragging the chair back to it's rightful spot before he started to help Gunnar pack things up.
"You know," He said softly, after some time of silence, "Even if it is a lie, so what?" "So what?!" "Maybe they made the story up to just get a little attention." Tensai pointed out. "Or maybe they made it up because they didn't want to get split apart when everyone else was getting adopted. Very... few families adopt siblings you know. Better to be labeled as freaks then to be apart from each other."
"Well, I wonder whose things these are?" There was a bit of humor in Luci's voice as she walked out of the bathroom, shaking a bag full of barettes. Bonnie snatch it from her instantly, grumbling something under her breath before zipping it up with the rest of Roxanne's things. They were already done cleaning up, though they made one last check around the room, checking in the drawers they already knew they didn't use and under the beds, as if something would be there.
"So... when I was talking to my mom..." Lucina said just as she closed the desk drawer, glancing at the dark-skinned female, "She said she would take Yazoo and Kadaj in." The coordinator seemed a bit surprised, before asking why she hadn't said anything before. "Well... I wanted to but... even if my mom is willing to doesn't mean they will be. They hardly wanted us to help them to begin with." The girl said, walking over to a mirror and tightening the ribbons in her hair, more nervously than anything. "I don't even know how to... bring the subject up."

Deep sea green eyes looked across the dark room at Tensai, his expression becoming blank. Though the stories made no sense, the reasoning behind them did. He still would never know what it's like to be and orphan, to know that your parents were dead and gone and you were the only one left to hold a name. He would never understand the feeling of a strange face looking down at you, smiling and telling you that it would be alright. He would never know how it felt, the first night in a new strange bed with new walls put up around you. Foreign toys given to you and you can only look at them, wondering where your favorite one was.
He'd never know how it felt to try and make a new life at such a young age.
Of course they would make such a bogus lie to keep the only thing they knew close. Even if that meant losing their health. He bit his lip and looked away, slowly packing in his last shirt. What would he do if he lost his mom...and dad.... or.... even.... Lucina...? The boy swallowed, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. He couldn't even imagine it. "Alright, come on..." Gunnar was quieter, his voice softer and Tensai knew that he understood now. It was kind of shocking seeing how much of a bully this guy was to Tensai's cousin because he wasn't such a bad guy once you got to know him.
"Hmmm... they probably won't accept it at first." Bonnie began, lugging one of Roxy's backpacks over her shoulder. Luckily, they weren't both glamor queens or they would be in big trouble travel wise. "Even if the streets are terrible to live on, that's all they know. Orphans really don't like new things if they can avoid it. I know I was pretty stubborn when I was younger when my new fathers took me away from the shelter. I had gotten use to the crumby beds and the cold nights. All orphans want is stability. I didn't know where I was being brought or what my life would be like. It was even traumatic at that age. It takes time...." Another bag was lifted and the girl in heels walked by the other. "I think it would be best if we handle the option. No offense..."
The door was opened and she could see the boy walking down the hallway. "You girls need any more help?" "Yea, there are some more bags in there." Bonnie pointed to her room and Gunnar was quick to assist. This left the two cousins to themselves in the hallway. "Tensai... " The coordinator whispered, leaning in close before telling him about the Almasy mother.

There was a nod, Tensai smiling some as he picked up his and Roxel's things - and teetering a bit when he did. Ugh, what did Roxel have in there?! Ten pounds of hair product?! He didn't mind as Spinarak climbed up into his hair and held on as they traveled out of the room, the door being shut for the last time behind them.
He hesitated outside of the room glancing at Bonnie when she came over. His eyes widened a fraction when she told him the news. "What? Really? That's great!" But, Bonnie told him exactly why that wasn't great and he frowned in realization. That was true, orphans had a real problem being accepted by anyone especially another family - he himself took months just to call his dads... dad. "Oh... I guess your right."
Inside the room, Lucina was telling Gunnar much the same as she lifted up her own bag. He of course, was shocked that mom didn't rip her head off but instead was offering to help! "But Bonnie says they might not take the offer. In fact, that they probably won't."
