Flap, flap, flap. "Win, win, win!" Long white wings spread against the blue sky, a little blue stripe on each wing seeming to blend in. A few flew together over head, seeming to call out to the people below to notice them. They were hardly unnoticed since they were native to this area and people who lived here saw them every day.
Large, black roads lead to many places, as well as up high in the air. They were suspended so people could preserve the nature around them. The city the winged creatures were flying throughout was known as Sunyshore City. It was a small little city that was cramped against the side of the mountain and the other side the ocean. Due to limited area, the people who built this city decided that the roads would be nothing more than large solar panels. They were durable enough to hold cars and powerful enough to run the whole city. It was a win win situation! Everyone was happy! Throughout the years though, the city became unpopular due to the fact that a gym was no longer open here, where trainers could battle and obtain their last badge before heading towards the Sinnoh's Pokémon League.
That's right! Pokémon! This world was inhabited by humans and Pokémon alike. The creatures themselves, based on various plants, animals, and other concepts, inhabit virtually every corner of the world. Many make their homes in forests and on rural routes stretching across the various regions, while still others are native to cities and other urban centers. Typically, Pokémon that are owned by a person are kept in Poké Balls, which allow for them to be quickly sent into battle or to perform a task, but keep them safe and make them easier to transport, with the balls being typically able to fit into a pocket or hooked onto a belt. Many Pokémon owned by Trainers, however, choose to remain outside of their Poké Ball, and travel with their Trainer on foot.
Many Pokémon are much more powerful than others, and some, due to this, have passed into legends that are told in the Pokémon world. It has not been consistently illustrated whether or not these Pokémon really do have the power that their legends state, though the general consensus is that, in the wild, a Pokémon's abilities are truly those of the legends, while a Trainer who captures one in a Poké Ball will limit its power.
Not all people are trainers though.
- Pokémon Breeders typically concern themselves with raising Pokémon for health and happiness, rather than for Pokémon battles. They also participate in beauty contests and related competitions—not to be confused with Pokémon Contests, though it is common for them to take interest in these as well.
- Pokémon Rangers use Capture Stylers to calm and control wild Pokémon to help them solve ecological problems, defeat criminals using Pokémon to commit crimes, and arrest Pokémon poachers, acting as a sort of cross between a police officer and park ranger.
- Pokémon Coordinators is someone who raises Pokémon to compete in Pokémon Contests. They raise their Pokémon much like Pokémon Trainers do, although with much more emphasis on beauty and appearances since they are major factors when it comes to points in Contests. They need to train their Pokémon to have beautiful moves, and be able to do well in battles, as a battle tournament is the second round of a Contest.
There are also other titles people take on in the world of Pokemon. There are Pokémon Rescuers who save Pokémon from danger and foster Pokémon that had been abused by their past owners or just had a tough life. They too use Capture Stylers to calm the Pokémon to calm and befriend them. Pokémon Rescuers were becoming more and more popular through the years. There are also Dragon Tamers, Bug Maniacs, Hex Maniacs, Ruin Maniacs, Bird Keepers and more. These trainers specialize in individual types of Pokémon. There were all sorts of experts, scientist and name it in the world of Pokémon!
However, not everyone in this world were in harmony with Pokémon. Some people... used them to do harm to others and cause harm on Pokémon alike. These groups were known as Teams. These Villainous Teams are criminal organizations which, whatever their goals are, the one thing they all have in common is that they achieve their results through the misuse of Pokémon.
With all these special titles, there are just people who live their everyday lives like we do. People who have Pokémon as house companions, who play and learn with them as they carry on their normal, everyday lives. This is exactly what one family does in Sunyshore City.
Wheels moved while feet didn't as gravity pulled the bike down a small slope in the paneled road. The sound of the ocean in the background and the calling of the seagull like creatures above them really brought on the lifestyle of the beach. It was a life style that a pale, silverette knew for most of his life. The wind blew through his long hair as he cycled down the path towards a small little community. When he reached level ground, he stopped his bike and glanced back, smiling some when he saw a child also cycling down, his little training wheels hitting the panels once in awhile. There was a basket on the from of his bike and inside was a very small little creature, peering out shyly as the wind blew his ears back.
When the young boy reached the man, his hair was ruffled and a shy smile escaped under his dark hair. "Great job! How's Charlie?" The crystal clear ocean eyes shined down as the silverette man glanced down at the creature, patting it's head some. "Widdle... got scawred and pooped." The little boy pouted some as the older man rose an eyebrow and glanced into the basket and saw a large splotch of orange paint. "Hahaha, that's not poop, Tensai. He's just a little scared. Maybe you went to fast. Come on, we'll ride home a little slower." A brilliant smile shown down on the boy who ironically had the same colored eyes as his creature's paint.
This creature was known as a Smeargle. These Pokémon secretes a fluid from its tail, which can be used as paint. Smeargle is the only Pokémon known to express itself in an artistic fashion. "OK! Go! GO!" The little boy cheered but as he was about to cycle away, the man paused him. "We have to wait for Bre." Both of them glanced back to see a black creature running down the slop towards them. He had yellow rings around his large ears and tail as well as yellow circles on his extremities. Sand was up to his elbows that flaked off as he ran, his mouth open to enjoy the wind in his face. On his back, there was another little creature that was very around with a stripped tail and long black ears. "TREEEET!!" It cried as it seemed to hold onto the black fur of the dog like creature.
"Breon!" The Umbreon smiled when he reached his master's side, looking up at the silverette and young boy before dashing by them. The silverette, once known as Gethin, was named Riku and he smile before glancing down at the young boy, who was his adopted son, Tensai. "Looks like Bre wants a race! We still have to be slow so Charlie won't get scared again, ok?" Slowly, he balanced himself and the two cycled after the Umbreon. They slowly peddled down a little path in a patch of forest before coming out to a single house over a cliff. The sunsets were beautiful here and the waves crashing on the cliffs was a peaceful noise that Riku could easy fall asleep with. this little two story house was their home.
"Yama?" A dozing Pokémon glanced up from a shaded area of the opening, watching the two humans enter the property before getting comfortable again. Unlike most if his species, this Hariyama was peaceful and enjoyed meditating more than getting stronger physically. As the cyclist came closer to the house, they could see a large metal creature tinkering with a satellite. There was a smaller version of it floating around, holding some tools for the other but it's ball of a head swirled to look behind it. "Dum?" "Metaaa..."
The bikes stopped close by and wrapped up with rope. The little boy reached into his basket and pulled out the small baby Smeargle before the two walked up to the porch. "VEE!!" A chipper sound came from the house before a little door opened and a white ball of puff burst out. At first, it nuzzled it's nose with the Umbreon, allowing the little Sentret to jump onto it's back before happily running to the little boy. As the door opened, a little yellow mouse looked up at them and held out her little paws. "Pika?" "Hey, Lily!" Riku greeted before reaching into his pocket and pulled out a single, pretty seashell. The mouse took it and smiled even more before rushing into the house.
"I'm home!" He called as he and Tensai made their way in and heard a call from the kitchen. It seemed like his husband was home. The man and child walked into the kitchen/dinning room to see quite a sight. "Laaasss~" A hovering ice maiden took a dish from a little black Pokémon that was wrapped in a blanket like cloak. He was drying the dishes with it and handing it up to his mother... who was placing them on top of a large black snake's head. Luckily, he seemed to have good balance as he slithered to the table and a tall rabbit like anthro took them and set the table up neatly. When they all noticed the two newcomers, they all gave a a call of cheer and welcome before continuing with their jobs.
There was a brunette at the counter next to a large red bug. The bug was cutting up some veggies and making a salad as the brunette watched the stove. The two made their way over and as the brunette turned around, he was met with a kiss on the lips and a hug on his legs. Things were really great in Sunyshore City.
"Ahhh~" In another place, across the land, a redhead was relaxing in a steaming spring. Him along with many other people on this fine afternoon. He knew his time here was short though as an alarm suddenly went off and he took a deep sigh. He arose from the spring, walking out and into a dressing room where he pulled his towel off from around his waist and started to get dressed. He walked out, paid and small toll and headed out into of the small building. Around him... was a whole new city. Lavaridge town... was now known as Lavaridge City. After the damage that had taken place a few years back, the ruined town that once was turned into a huge project for the local areas. Lavaridge had been known for it's hot spring but because of some all the devastation, the springs were ripped up and were made into larger springs. Knowing this would be great to market, they made a huge commercial about coming up and paying a small fee to 'relax the tiredness out of ones body'. It really worked!
With all the money that was made, the city started to rebuild itself. There was also a lot of funding for the new Pokémon Rescue H.Q. since Lavaridge was the birthplace of the group. Clean, fresh water was tapped from small lake that had formed on a ridge of the mountain that hadn't been there before. This brought clean water to the city so they didn't have to keep abandoning their projects to find some. A bridge was made and the water was allowed to flow through the city. This cooled off the area and made it more welcoming to visitors. One could hardly remember that the city was on the base of a volcano!
When the tall redhead looked around the street, he gave a whistle and heard galloping from afar. In sight, an amazing creature came dashing down the street and stopped at his side. It was... a fire unicorn! "Hey Rapidash!" He greeted her before patting her neck, The reins were grabbed and he hoisted himself up. "Let's go home!" He ordered happily and they were off like a flash. Was it mentioned that Rapidash was one of the fastest land Pokémon? People turned their heads as they watched the redhead pull his body close to the gentle beast as they flew down the streets, the horse knowing exactly where to go.
When they reached the outer rims of the city, the gravel turned into dirt and rock, much like the old streets of Lavaridge town. However, this was the only area that was reserved. Why? Because it was Lavaridge's Pokémon Haven. It even said that on a large gate that the trail led through and the land spanned over acres upon acres. It was like a zoo of sorts; a little bit of each acres mocking a whole new plain type. In the front as they entered was a large plain that was fenced off around a corral. Many other fire horses trotted around inside as some found themselves chewing on some grass. There was also a miniature racetrack around the pen where some obvious races could be held.
Beyond that was a large house and off of that was a large and long building that looked almost like a green house. This...was the redhead's home. Just up the path, there was a smaller house that was actually the Lavaridge's Pokémon Haven Shoppe. It was a place set up where people could buy homemade Pokémon food. Things that could be bought at this shop weren't available at any others and couldn't even be mocked. The formulas made by the Pokémon Nutritionist who lived here were amazing and accurate, a talent he had acquired over the years. Homemade Drinks, Pokéblocks, Poffins, Honey, Aprijuice, Poké Snacks, Gummis were sold here along with cupcakes, acorns, mushrooms, carrots, onions, herbs, radishes, and apples. The shop also rarely sold bananas or Moomoo Milk which all depended if they were fostering a Tropius or Miltank. And of course, if a human wanted to buy a snack of their own, there were always homemade Lava Cookies for sale.
"Mreeow~" A lazy catch twitched her tail as the sound of youthful feet stomped by her. She was getting old and finally settling some, her attitude towards battle diminished now on the large farm. Her eye closed before she started to lick her paw, tucking it in under her puffy white chest before returning to her catnap on the window sill. The boy continued to run around the house, his arms flailing as a large smile took up nearly his whole face. "CHICK! CHICK! CHICK!" He cried happily while he chased a large group of red and yellow chicks. "TORCHIC! CHIC! CHIC! TOOOR!!" They cried when he picked them up by their head feathers and each time they were pulled from the ground, a puff of fire blew out from their beaks, making the boy laugh.
The poor little Pokémon weren't laughing so much though as their little wings flapped and little feet pushed as hard as they could to get away from the tyrant of a child! The chase passed a hot spring that was dormant and lame, creating a pond instead where many fish found their home. Finneon, Lumineon, Goldeen, and Feebas swam in the calm waters, all rescued and nearly ready for a new home. On the top of the water skated a few Surskit, enjoying the breeze that helped them travel around... until they all suddenly fled from the center. "SURSKIT!" They moved because the largest creature that controlled the pond was surfacing, his bright red scales gleaming from the sun.
Fierce eyes looked down at the chase and only raised an eyebrow, his mouth slowly closing from the gaping position. The red dragon had become quite gentle and though he was a rescue case as well (actually being the first) the Xipil family decided to keep him as their own. He usually helped the new water-side Pokémon with their rehabilitation.
"TORCHIC!" Another puff of fire came from a poor Torchic as she was pulled by a feather. Tears filled her eyes as some soft feathers flew from her undercoat but that all paused when all the little chicks hid behind a large, feathery leg. "Ken." A very angry mother Blaziken glared down at the redheaded boy with big blue eyes. "Ut-oh..." The boy blinked, knowing he was in trouble because his daddys had said to be careful and so did grandma Sera! "BLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" A blast of fire shot out at the boy, engulfing him and when it went out, he was burnt to a crisp, coughing slightly to exhale black little puffs. "DOOOSS!" Another cry came from across the plain and water smacked all the fire chickens. The red Gyarados, known as Riot, huffed, seeing the fire Pokémon all wet before they fled.
The little boy fell over... and stated to cry. Big fat drops of tears ran down his cheeks, cleaning them from the soot. "Toooooorchic~ Toooooorchic~ Chiiiiic, chic tooooor~~~♪ Toooorchic~ Tooooorchic~ Chiiiiic, chic tooooor~~~♪" The blue eyes stopped weeping when a sweet little melody sang through his ears and he opened his eyes to only look down at a remaining Torchic that he didn't remembering chasing. This Torchic was a different colors that the others. Instead of being mostly orange with some yellow, this one was mostly yellow with some orange. "O-ooooh..." He blinked some tears away, pushing them off his face that was now clean. "I...I weeawy wike dat song you sing."
The little chic seemed to smile before hopping onto his lap and nuzzling under his chin. This made the little boy giggle and hug the pokemon but gasped when he heard the sound of horse hooves hitting the ground. "DADDY!" He called, taking the Pokémon carefully before running out of the house, seeing his twin sister and a little purple and blue Pokémon rushing towards the man on the fire horse. The two children collided as they reached up for the man with the red hair who was demounting from the fire unicorn. "Hey! HEY!" The redhead laughed, ruffling both their hair. "Did you get stuff, fowa us, daddy!?" The twins cried together, making the man grow a large sweatdrop down the back of his head. "Geez. We make cookies and have tons of Pokémon and they STILL ask for more!"
There was a chuckled from behind them and they all looked to see another blonde walking out of the house. "I told you not to spoil them, Axel~" The blonde warned as he came close and planted a kiss on the taller man's cheek. "So, did you get the supplies?" A cruel blush ran over the other man's face while a hand reached back and rubbed the back of his head. "Haha, they were...all out!" "Daaaash~" The rapidash rolled her eyes, knowing very well that her master didn't even go to the store!
"Hehehehe~~~" The room was dark, a chuckling coming from a bed in the middle. The covers shifted as some more quiet noises came from under them; some hums, soft moans and the sound of lips smacking. Under the sheets, a smaller body wiggled down upon a larger, his blonde hair being coarsely ran through by tanned fingers. This... honestly wasn't a new scene for the two. Another set of fingers slowly reached for the button and zipper of the blonde's jeans and just as the button was snapped, there was a screeching sound of their door opening. Their eyes widened under the sheets before the blonde grumbled something, popping his head from under the covers. He glanced back over his shoulder to see a small figure in the middle of their door frame.
"Ah, Bonnie? Did you have a nightmare?" The blonde asked, making the little figure walk into the room and to one side of their bed. As she came in, the blonde got off of the brunette who scooted over some, chuckling as he saw how irritated the blonde seemed that they got interrupted. The little girl looked up at the two men in bed but something was not right off the bat. She was holding... a little Pokémon in her arms, one that neither of the two men had seen before. "Daddy...can I keep 'em?" A heavy British came from the small one as she hugged the Pokémon closer.
"Buii, buii~"
"W-where did you get that!?" The blonde cried before his eyes narrowed. "Bonnie, didn't we tell you not to venture out at night!? It's not safe without an adult! Not even in the greenhouse!" Their home was actually attached to the large greenhouse that the Tellus family owned. It was a place where Terra Tellus could train with his Pokémon for future battles in the gym while keeping them relaxed and calm in an area that was much like their own. The greenhouse was it's own little forest, complete with all sorts of Pokémon that lived in harmony. Beautiful greenery and flowers grew there and sometimes on the weekend, the greenhouse was open for the locals for a few hours, allowing them to walk the dirt paths and to marvel at the captured beauty.
"But daddy... it was cryin and all. I couldn't let it stay hurt. I gots a big stick out of its' foot." She shifted the little brown otter to show the blonde a rather large splinter. "Bon---" The blonde paused the moment he saw those big round eyes and that pouting bottom lip. He had to admit, that look always won him over. The brunette by the blonde's side finally put in his two cents, not seeing why she couldn't keep the Pokémon. As long as she could take care of it and managed it, it could be her first. He was around her age when he was presented with his first from his family.
Children's first Pokémon were a sign of new adventures awaiting!

Yes it was true. Life had definitely changed for the eight heroes who once saved the world from total destruction. Even still today, people recognized them for their deeds and every once and awhile one of them would be approached, a curious trainer asking for a story or a rescuer looking for some hope. Roxas and Axel had told their story a million times already - so much so their own children knew it by heart. Terra loved to us it as an intimidation factor against his challengers. Sora too knew well the curiosity - especially the kids he taught, the question never ended! He was just proud there was someone left to believe where he got his scars from.
Ah yes... the burn scars given to him by Zapdos himself. Over the years they had slowly healed the best they could. Some of them where still pinkish but most had faded to the peach color of his skin. Yet, they were obvious because they were so pale compared to his tanned skin and of course they didn't grow any hair. After the incident with the baby Lugia was cleared up and they finally were able to settle down was the time Riku finally had to deal with Sora's self-esteem hitting rock bottom.
Life hadn't always been great in Sunyshore.
But the elder man did nothing but lavish attention on him so lovingly. And soon enough the brunette stopped fearing he would lose Riku's love... but it wasn't until he started to teach that he found a way to be proud of them. And it came in the form of an innocent question while he was writing some spelling words on the board. "Mr. Sora, what's that mark on your arm?" At first he had debated not telling them... but he was glad he did because as the story spilled out, the kids were completely in wonder as he explained standing fearlessly in front of his tiger dog to protect her from Zapdos. There eyes were wide and sparkling with interest and their smiles large and their gasps genuine. None of them thought he was ugly - in fact all they could talk about all recess to their friends from other classes was how they had a hero for a teacher.
And... that made Sora happy. He was a role model!
He just hoped he could also be one for his own son.
Speaking of who...
"Welcome home!" Sora spoke brightly as the kiss ended, giving his husband a smile before looking down at Tensai and his grin widened. He knelt down excitedly, pushing up his glasses some. "Tenny, did ya get him!" "Yep, yep!" Came a chirper cry the young boy taking the small beagle from his shoulder and holding him up for his dad to see.... butt first. Well, he was definitely a boy. "S-Sme?!" Sora cracked a grin and reached out quickly cradling his head, saying lightly, "You're holding him upside down Tensai." "Oh..." He had his dad help him turn the poor creature right side up, his fathers amused all the while. Sora pet the creature's ears adoringly, always happy to have a new family member. they had been planning on buying this guy all week - they had passed by the pet shop with Tensai one afternoon, Sora and Riku speaking about what they needed to get when they found their son missing.
Instead his face was glued to a glass window, staring with wide eyes at the creatures within. Baby Smeargles. And it really only took one look at them and a 'Can I haaaave one pweaaaase?' for the father's to give in. Of course they also knew he would take great care of it; little Tenny was their biggest help around the house!
"Why don't you show Charlie where the bathroom and his bed is?" The little boy smiled and nodded, hurrying away with a tiny little Eevee bouncing after him but was paused at the kitchen doorway. "Your room is clean right?" "Daaaad! I won't lose Charlie, he'll be at my side foreber and eber!" The boy giggled before hurrying off. Well that was a no.
Sora shook his head but chuckling, standing again and smiling to Riku. "Charlie, eh?" He glanced beyond the silverette to the Lopunny in their kitchen.
Tensai wasn't their child; for obvious reasons. He had tragically lost both his parents during the flood. For a time after they had adopted him, the black-haired boy wouldn't even recognize them as his fathers. But it was about the same time he started calling them dad... that he started calling Lopunny Kali. It was his mother's name. It wasn't exactly unheard of to name a pokemon or even one's own child after someone they cared about and lost, so Riku and Sora didn't object. Not that the anthro-bunny wasn't already very motherly to the young boy. She would let him cuddle her and sometimes she would tuck him into bed even.
"Just wait until Roxel comes for a visit." Sora chuckled, remembering what happened when the red-haired kid found out about Moxley, the silver-colored Eevee. "He's gonna throw another fit."
As for the Pokemon rescuers, life was always busy but good. Well...... usually. Some days were harder then others especially when they got new Pokemon from the rescue center who definitely needed more time and care then those who had been here for an extended period of time. Not to mention taking care of the little tykes AND making sure they didn't get too rowdy with the Pokemon. Roxas worried constantly about them getting hurt, though Axel kept telling him they were smart kids and wouldn't do anything stupid.
Yeah... and the smoke coming from Roxel's hair-tips was a sign he didn't do anything stupid.
"Oh?" A blonde eyebrow rose skeptically a small tiger-striped dog holding a newspaper coming over and dropping it at Axel's feet, unnoticed. A little Growlithe - a gift from his brother Sora. Roxas had once told Axel he had dreamed of being a fire-type trainer... just like him. But an incident when he was young when he was to ride a Ponyta had scared him so badly he just couldn't face the idea of raising one... except for Flareon, his special Eevee from the coin contest.
But he never really forgot wanting to own a Growlithe - even kept the old plush of his from his childhood; though it was horribly water damaged now. Sora hadn't forgotten either. Roxas stilled remembered that one evening while the sun was setting with brilliance in the sky, a large fire dog with a crown-shaped pendant on her collar came to their doorstep where he and Axel where bundled under a parka with their dozing children. And at their feet, she deposited a little Growlithe with a blue bow and a message. Arcy seemed unperturbed, licking the blonde she recognized as one of her pups and trusting he would take care of his brother.
A gift. A very special gift.
Roxas had named him Growly. He was still young, but he knew he's make a great rescuer dog. He was still in-training and his favorite thing to do was fetch the newspaper for them. So much so he continued to do so throughout the day until the entire thing was slobbered on and ripped up.
"Everything?" Axel grinned widely, starting to sweat but nodded rapidly. Roxas started to grin as well, but the maliciousness behind it made Axel know whatever his husband was planning was an evil trick. He had to be careful. "Even the milk?" "Uh-huh." "And the carrots?" "Yep, completely out!" "And the juice boxes?" "Yeah, all of it was out!" Roxas's grin grew and from their feet their two children where hiding giggles behind their hands. "Axel?" "Yeah?" "You do realize I asked you to go to the hardware store not he grocery store, right?" "Ah......................" The look on the red-head's face was priceless and Roxas burst into laughter. "Daaaaaddy! You went to the spring huh!" Roxanne said accusingly, pointing at her father, her blonde pigtails bouncing with the movement. "Mime-Mime!" The little Mime Jr. beside her mimicked the movement, pointing as well. "Well never finish the tree house at this rate!" "That's right, nor the repairs on the barn, cause your daddy is lazy. Maybe you need to go with him Roxy and keep him in line."
As for the gym leader and his once 'female' counterpart, things had gotten much better for the both of them. Those first few months after the skirts of Venita were placed away and it was just Terra and Ven had been wonderful. Finally they could go on dates without weeks in between of seeing each other; they could spend their birthdays in each other's companies rather then just sharing them through a picture phone; they could give gifts to one another that didn't need a postage stamp. And Terra would never admit it, but Ven had probably learned from the way the brunette sometimes held him in bed so tightly he seemed to never want to let him go, that he had been terribly lonely without the blonde at his side.
And somewhere, that probably made Ven very happy... to be so loved.
It was probably more shocking to him however... when Terra agreed they could adopt Bonnie. They had met her when they were looking for one of Houndoom and Delcatty's Skitty. she had gone missing - snuck out an open door. They had been searching town for hours, beginning to lose hope... when all of a sudden a little girl started to tug on Ven's jacket grabbing his attention. And in her arms was the Skitty. Ven had fallen in love with her and was broken-hearted for her when they took her 'home' which ended up... being an orphanage. Suddenly the blonde knew what he needed to do; he needed that little girl in his life. All prepared and ready for an argument, all his reasons already planned out and in his mind as they sat down to discuss it... and all it took was: "So I was thinking about that girl... You know the one who found our Skitty?" "Yeah?" "Well... I was thinking maybe we could adopt her... you know cause uh well-" "Sure." "...Sure?!" "Yeah, why not?" ".... T-that's it?!"
That isn't to say Terra thought little of her or didn't love her. He adored her, it was obvious. Like with Venita he was willing to give Bonnie the world. Not to mention her little pouting look made him give into her every whim too. "Come on Ven, it won't hurt if she keeps it. We have a little lake in the greenhouse for it and everything." Terra continued to coax lightly, guessing the poor Pokemon had traveled a long way from the ocean. "Either way, we better look at it's foot and get out those splinters."
And not far from where they were living and debating, Ven's friend and once crime partner lived not far away also against the ocean, the waves a calming sound to the family. But no one was asleep yet. In the living room of the extensive house, Aqua was sitting in an armchair, brushing a rough comb through a blue fox's coat. Though it looked smooth, it was actually very bristling, constantly frozen by the fox's cool body temperature.
On the couch, reading a book, was another woman. She had short silver hair and on top of her laid a cute brown-furred creature. An Eevee; though still pretty young since she wasn't full grown yet. She was much younger then the blue fox; she was her niece.
It was ironic actually... that Fuujin got the child of the Eevee she was meant to once own. At least that was what Aqua was thinking when she went to visit the Holani family in Sunyshore once fine afternoon to ask for the baby. At first Umbreon and Margret had been reluctant to let her go, but the house was already very crowded and they knew if no one else, Glaceon would take good care of her.
Fuujin however had no trouble loving the little brown ball of fluff who came wrapped in a cute little pink bow (courtesy of Sora of course). She had always wanted an Eevee; such mysterious but playful creatures they were.
So life was peaceful.
"MOOOOOM THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE WATER!"
....Usually.
With a sigh, Aqua stood. Glaceon yawned and stretched, following after her as they slipped out the glass door. "I'll go see." Their son, Sanyi, always was seeing things in the water of their pond outside. Usually it was just a leaf or a stick or something. He kept telling them they had to keep the water extra-clean. No one knew where this obsession came from; possibly the flood had traumatized him.
They had yet to cure him of the phobia.
Fuujin sighed going back to her reading... and only got one sentence until:
"FUU!! You better come out here!"
The once security guard jumped up, instantly alert, her little Eevee tumbling onto the couch. Brown ears twitched, watching the other leave hastily before yawning and curling up on a pillow.
Uncertain of what to expect the silverette hurried out the door, a call on her lips ready if she needed to call for Missy's assistance, but the warning died on her lips when she saw the aghast look on her wife's face... and just WHAT was in the water.
Sanyi was laughing splashing a bit in the shallow end as his tiny chubby arms wrapped around a little blue worn like Pokemon.
"Drrri!" But not just any blue-worm. A very, very rare one. A dragon Pokemon... known as Dratini.

"Yea. That was the name that came right off the top of his head." The silverette smiled, watching his son disappear into his room. At first, Riku wasn't all that fond of having a child of his own. Being an only child, he didn't know if he would be a good father. He knew how wicked he could get, remembering that day that he told Sora pretty much that he didn't care if he got himself killed for leaving the island when the letter came about his late mother. And about their little island, they had went to Mirage to see just how much damage the little place took and was shocked to see that the whirlwinds that took Riku's father had disappeared and the island was looking just like it had. The only thing that was truly different was that the house that was once their home was gone but it seemed like the legends that helped restore what they had damaged had kept this place in mind too. They had to wonder if it was their way of thanking them...
So, they were planning on heading back there fore vacation when Tensai got out of school for the summer. It was still up in the air though, neither of the parents feeling very sure if Tensai would react well being on a boat again.
"That little brat~" Riku rolled his eyes and laughed, taking a piece of carrot that the Scizor had cut up and popping it into his mouth. "He has a huge lot of land with all sorts of Pokemon and he gets jealous of Tensai's. "Punny!" Came a greeting as the rabbit came in, smiling at Riku before looking at Sora, pointing to the table. "Lo!" Seemed like the table for dinner was done. Sora thanked her before she walked off, probably heading towards Tensai's room to let him know dinner was almost ready and to help him with cleaning up. She really was a great addition to the home.
"It's probably because Roxel doesn't have a Pokemon of his own yet." Sora spoke thoughtfully as he started to place the food on the table while Riku started to get the Pokemon's bowls ready. "I guess." Strong arms pulled out a bag of seeds from a bottom cabinet and opened the window over the kitchen. He poured the seeds into an aqueduct like tray and it ran down into a large tub. Suddenly, birds came flying down from the trees, perching at the edges. "SWALLOW!" A proud male called as little Starly and Taillow perched around him before a larger bird perched on the opposite side. As they started to peck away at dinner, there was a blur of whiteness and seeds suddenly flew everywhere as a Swablu fell into the tub.
"HEY! I did not go to the springs!" The redhead waved his arms some, his hair bouncing through his head wrap. The two went back and forth for some time before Axel sighed in defeat. Roxy was way too stubborn for him to win anything. Him and Roxel always got the lower hand of things while Rox and Roxy always got the upper. "Fine, fine! I'll go back to the grocery store." There was a butt on his shoulder and he blinked, seeing Rapidash roll her eyes again. "OH! I mean... hardware store!" Thin finger reached up and pushed his glasses back up his nose when he turned and looked down at Growly. "Thanks! I needed to read this for the fourth time today~"
"DADDDDY! STOP STALLING!"
"AAAH!!" Axel gripped his ears, his daughter yelling right in one. "GEEZ! No wonder my hair is receding more than usual! Let's go!" He grabbed her from under her arms and prompted her up onto the unicorn, the little girl not seeming to worry about the flaming mane that swept over her. He got on behind her and they both pulled Rapidash's reins before heading back into town. This left only Roxel, Roxas and Growly to watch them leave. Slowly, big blue eyes looked up at the blonde before a smile came over his face. "Daddy? I fouwnded dis." He slowly presented the little chick that was shifting in the little chubby arms. "CHIC! TORCHIC!" "Can I has it! PWEEEEASE!? Ten-chan gets some, I wants some too!"
Ventus frowned some but sighed, nodding in agreement. "Alright... but you need to keep up your grades if you want to keep.... him." He squinted some in the dark to check out the gender before falling onto the bed. "I'm pooped... you can get the slivers out, big man~" He slapped Terra's butt as he moved over him, yawning some. He, no longer a coordinator, now worked on his mother-in-law's 'farm'. She was getting older and came down with a joint illness that decreased her activities some. She couldn't do some of the things for her 'haven' that she once could. He gave her a hand and got some money in return. It was also nice to help out with the new pups when they were born, secretly naming them all.
The only issue was making them all get along now that a new element was brought into the area. The alpha Mightyena wasn't very happy when 'Ray-ray' settled in. There were many fights for the first few months and many injured Mightyena's. Luckily, they were able to calm them some... until Shinx started to appear. Then it was the whole mess all over again.
Now the only problem was when the pup play fought, electricity spooked the native Poochyenas. Today, he had been shocked something bag. Man... sometimes he wished Sora was around to handle this sort of thing.
Terra walked his daughter to the bathroom where the light was turned on and the little otter was placed on Bonnie's lap when she sat down on the toilet seat. She watched her dad get out some supplies before giggling, seeing purple claws wrap around the door frame and large slanted eyes glanced in. "Hau hau hau~"
The silverette woman stopped in her tracks, her eyes becoming wide and her mouth gaping open. "Wha....?" Slowly, she walked across the grass and stopped next to the blue haired woman, both of them watching the little boy hugging the rare pokemon. "How... did that get there?"

"Hahahahaha!" Came a laugh from across the room, having seen the little topple. Riku had to be careful when he reached into the tin and pull out the little Swablu. Of course, though Nimbus was now usually at the reservation with Skarmory, she had made sure on their first big flight to bring one of her children to Sora and Riku, a way of thanking them for all their care for her.
She still was a message bird, though now that everyone was a phone call away, she had instead become an honorary Rescue Pokemon, often allowed to be borrowed by the rescuers during missions because of the silver bird's sharp and quick flight and Nimbus's silent one which allowed for her to take messages from one team to another without notice. They were really proud of her... even though they missed her.
Sora smiled fondly though as he scooped the vegetables into the dish, watching the little winged bird hop about in Riku's hands, nibbling on the seeds caught in his wings. "Looks like Icarus still has a lot to learn."
"And sees here? Your beddie-bye right with me and Moxy!" Tensai said setting the Smeargle onto a soft pillow on his bed and patting him. "I'll takes good care of you!" "Veee!" Came a little bark, the silver furred creature jumping onto the bed in excitement, sniffing the little creature.
"Whee!" Roxanne giggled as she was let on the horse. Unlike her blonde father, she had no fears about riding Rapidash, her body safely tucked against her dad's as they ran. They traveled a small distance in no time at all, and as her daddy let her down and recalled the horse, he took her hand, leading her into the store. Besides her, holding her hand, was Mime Jr. "Daddy when ya gonna teach me how to ride a purdy horsie?"
Roxas sighed running a hand through his blonde hair and shaking his head. Sometimes Axel was a handful; as immature as their children! He blinked however when he heard his son and looked down, seeing the colorful Torchic in his hands. He didn't even have to wonder where he 'found' her.
An eyebrow rose and he lent down, knowing whose chick it must be. "I dunno Roxel..." Oh here comes the big pout. He knew they were already planning on letting Roxanne keep Mime Jr - the little mime was oddly attached to their daughter. But Roxel didn't know that. "Well.....I think me and Axel MIGHT let you keep her... if you can prove you can take care of her."
Eyes went wide with how. "Weally?! How?!"
"Well..." He gave an amused smile then turned his boy around, pointing towards the chicken coop, the wire door hanging open a a few braver chicks hopping out to inspect the grass. "First thing is to not leave the gate open."
"Pff, bitch." Terra grumbled but reluctantly got out of bed, leading his daughter to the bathroom. He certainly wasn't that tired just five MINUTES ago! Pff, probably better this way anyways - he would of just given the poor otter a heart attack.
he hummed as he set out a needle and a magnifying glass but as his daughter started to giggle he rose and eyebrow, glancing at her before he looked towards the door. He grew exasperated when he saw the ghost Pokemon, "No tricks Haunter." He warned before he went about cleaning the needle under hot water and some soap.
"I....." Aqua tried then just flailed her arms - she had no words! She looked up towards the sky, knowing Dragonair and Dragonite could fly... but it didn't seem like one would fly across the air and just... deposit the baby here. "Mommy can we keep him!?" The happy boy said still playing in the water. "Err......" Aqua glanced at Fuujin and shrugged. They... had enough room in the pond...

An amused chuckle came from the silverette as he watched the small blue bird with puffy white wings of clouds peck at itself. His free hand dipped into the bag of seeds and placed a small bit onto the counter before placing Icarus down in front of it. "He sure does." Riku replied before tending to the other bowels, getting them ready for the zoo outside and placing them onto a tray. He made his way outside, being careful not to trip over another of the pokemon around his feet as they eagerly waited for their food. Outside, he placed them all against the house and saw plenty of Pokemon heading over, easily finding their own plates before chowing down. He had to smile, seeing parents feeding their children some and seeing siblings share like the little snow child handing a Poke block to his floating metal arm of a sister.
A deep breath came from the lifeguard, watching them all happy eat and realized that they had all came a long way. It all seemed complete thanks to the beautiful sunset that was painting the sky something that seemed only available on an artist's canvas. The sights here, with the cliff and ocean, attracted some young and old lovers, them asking if they could spend some time by the cliff to enjoy the view. Silver hair shifted some from the ocean breeze before he turned and headed back inside.
"Punny?" A delicate call came from a half closed door before it slowly opened more, allowing a small bunny to hop in and stop at Tensai's side. He was getting bigger but she felt like she was getting smaller. At first, she was unsure if she wanted a human child to get so close. She had been so abused by one before but after the months, she knew that this child was nothing like her old master at all. He had given her a new name and didn't order her to do bad things... except for stealing some fresh made cookies or ice cream. Those were crimes she could deal with.
Slowly, she glanced up at the curious little pokemon on his bed and tilted her head some. "Lu, lu?"
Green eyes looked through thin glass down at his daughter, both of them walking through the hardware store. "Well, you just need to get a pinch taller before I feel ok for you to ride one on your own, Roxy. If you fall, you can get very hurt." The tall father explained, not minding the Machoke walking by, carrying lumbar around the shop. They headed down an isle where some supplies were. "Now, what kind of---"
"GET OUT!" Came a cry from the back of the store and as an ex-rescuer, Axel was suddenly gone, absentminded that he had left his young girl all alone by herself. He rushed to the scene and frowned some as he saw the owner of the store hitting an Aron on the butt with a broom. He could only guess that the Pokemon had somehow got in and was eating the supplies that were for sale.
"Oooooooh...." Roxel blushed when he saw the coop open before looking back at his blonde hair father. "But I wanted to pway tag wiff dem. Theiw mommy came and took dem bye-bye. I don known whewerd they went...."
The ghost suddenly looked hurt, pointing to himself with an detached hand. "Haunter? Haun hau~" He was far from innocent! "Go ta bed~ You stay up pas your bed time and ya sleep all day!" The girl chastised the ghost, not realizing that most ghost were nocturnal... but Haunter disappeared anyway with a farewell laugh. "Buuuui...." The poor pokemon watched the needle, his foot twitching from fear. "Ah, doncha worry! My daddy ain't gonna hurt ya! He's gentle even if he wins all his fights! You're gonna be like that too. We'll train all day and get real strong!"
"W-WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME FOR!" Fuu blinked as she saw the look on Aqua's face. "Of course we can keep him!" Why wouldn't they want such a rare pokemon in their pond? Even thought it could be a target for a team, she had a good feeling about this. Poor Sanyi was obsessed with the water and maybe having a water pokemon for himself, he could learn how to manage his phobia better while still taking care of the pond. The kid seriously needed a better hobby than calling either of them to take out a twig or leaf.
She gave Aqua a smile before slowly walking over to the water's edge. "Hey Sanyi... what are you going to name it?"

Ears twitched at the sound of food falling into bowls and a mouse perked up from where he was laying, a smaller, yellower form of himself using his long thin tail like a jump rope. “Raaai!” He wrapped the appendage around the tiny Pichu and hurried for the door, passing a pretty female Pikachu who was watering the flowers. She always made the house smell and look so pretty. “Rai rai!” “Piiika!” The watering can was set down and the small family hurried outside to their little bowl.
A smaller but similar form to Umbreon’s, except more spiky, perked his ears up and yawned but simply turned his head and went back to sleep.
Sora chuckled, hearing the sound of vicious eating from outside, all the Pokemon inside rushing outside at the sound of their bowls filling and soon enough the kitchen was empty – except for the birds. It was a little lonely, but Sora didn’t let it mind him as he started to add some spices to the dinner. He never thought he’d be such a good cook – then again if you travel, you had to know how to make food!
But Tensai’s room was still full of Pokemon. He grinned excitedly up at the Lopunny. “See Kali, it’s Charlie. Now you’re together again!” The black-haired boy said happily, reaching up and having his paw pat the little beagle. “You’ll help me take care of him wight? Foreber and eber wight?”
“But Da-” Came a little voice from his feet, the girl already interrupting her father but before SHE could finish her sentence either her father had let go of her hand and was off like a shot. She blinked, confused as she saw her dad running before disappearing down an aisle. She tilted her head. “Daddy…?” “Mime…?” Her little copy-cat did just the same. “Daaaaaddy……?” “Miiiime…?” The girl’s lip quivered when he didn’t return the instant she called a little but she straightened trying to be brave. She reached down and picked up the little Mime Jr. and started to walk carefully, dodging people’s legs and looking around and going down random aisles that crisscrossed like mazes. She felt like she looked down a hundred when it was only a few – a hardware store was not small place and for a four-year old’s size was ginormous.
Then she saw him. He came out of some random aisle His back turning from her and walking away. “D-Daddy!” She called short legs running to him but he hadn’t heard her. Maybe she had been yelling too much and he didn’t hear so good anymore. “DAADDDDDDDDDDDY!” She screeched in only a way a little girl could.
The man stopped and turned around. Roxanne slid to a halt just feet away.
It wasn’t her dad.
Heck it wasn’t even a man. She wasn’t even sure who it was. “Roxanne? Hey, where’s your dads?” The girl’s lip quivered and she finally burst into tears. “I DON’T KNOW! WAAAAAAAAAAH!” “Whoa, whoa there! Calm down it’s okay we’ll find them!” The woman said and it took little goading to pick up the little girl. Little did she know, the woman who found her was someone she would know well. Flannery – the gym leader. A gym always needed repairs so it wasn’t too unusual to find her in a hardware store. And of course she knew Roxanne and Roxel – she had know them even before their new parents adopted them.
With much longer legs, and a knowing ear, it was easy to find Axel. He was chastising a man for his treatment of what appeared to be a Lairon who was now happily chomping on some pokeblocks. “Uh-hum!” Flannery cleared her throat. “Axel!” The red-head paused and turned around. “Forget something?” She indicated the crying girl in her arms.
Luckily, had Roxas been aware of what Axel had done he would of risen holy hell about it. Luckily he did not YET know. Instead he was too busy dealing with his absent-minded son who he sometimes had to wonder if he and Axel weren’t actually truly related. “Oh Roxel....” Roxas said before glancing at the dog beside him. “Growly, round ‘em up!” “Groooowl!” Came the agreeing howl before the growing dog was off. He lifted his son, waking him back towards the coop. “Now Roxel, how many times have we told you to be careful with the babies?”
Terra grinned at his daughter’s words, feeling his ego rise some. It was true, he was the toughest gym leader in all of Sinnoh – only two held the record of walking out of this gym with a win on the first try. And those two… were this little girl’s uncles. “Why thank you Bonnie~” He knelt down on the tile floor, smiling up at the shaking otter. “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” He held the magnifying glass up above the paw. Luckily this wasn’t the first time he had done this. He’d taken out countless splinters from all types of Pokemon and of course Bonnie.
And even once a couple from Ven’s ass… Heh. That was definitely the last time they fucked in the greenhouse.
Overall, he was pretty good with a needle. Even knew how to sew and sown in stitches. They were useful little tricks for someone traveling on the road. ”The fuck do you mean ‘you can sew?’” “I can sew. It comes in handy.” “And I thought I was the girl,” The blonde grumbled. “Okay, the fuck do you do when you get a hole in your pants, bitch?” “I stole new clothes!”
The Buizel’s eyes squeezed shut as the needle came near, squeaking gently as he awaited the pain, feeling the first prick. And then the next. And the next. And then… a strange gooey feeling that was actually anti-septic cream and the foot was lightly bandaged and- “Alright, all done.”
A hidden, excited grin finally fell onto Aqua’s lips at her wife’s reassurance that they would be keeping it – not that she wanted the part dragon, part water type too or anything. No certainly not! She was just… just glad for Sanyi really! She danced – no, no she walked, really – over to the pond side, leaning down to inspect the little blue creature.
“Uhmm…. D…Draco?” The boy said, knowing the name from the stars. Draco was the Dragonite constellation, in which Fuujin and Aqua had shown him and many more as they had once been the way sailors found their way on the ocean. “I think… that that is an excellent name Sanyi.” Aqua praised as she knelt down reaching out and running her fingers along the smooth skin of the dragon who was curled around her son. His skin was a sky blue, rather than the lilac which would mean it is a girl. Even though she knew little about dragons, the Dragonite family – except its final evolution - could be found in the water. And anything in the water, she had extensive knowledge about.
“You know dragons are very particular about their masters Sanyi. They don’t just chose anyone.” Aqua said mysteriously, her eyes glimmering. “Really?” “Yep. But this one came right too you; you must be real special.” The boy’s golden eyes blinked up at her before he grew a brilliant grin, just seeming to glow in the night. Heh, she made a good mom after all.

"Punnny?" The curious, motherly Lopunny looked up at the bed, seeing the new Pokemon of the family. She wasn't quite sure what he meant by being together again because she didn't remember seeing him before. She would of thought that this poor Smeargle came from that bad place but he was still a baby. Maybe the child was mistaking it for someone else. Nonetheless, she went along with it to make him happy. "LOLO! PUNNY!" She clapped happily to see the baby before tugging at Tensai's clothes. She indicated that he needed to wash his hands and that dinner was ready. The boy pouted, not wanting to leave his new Charlie but Riku opened the door just then and smiled, some more bowls in his hands. "Come on, Ten. Dinner time. I'll leave these here for Moxely, Charlie and Kali, ok?"
It was then that Riku realized why Tensai had been so quick to name the Smeargle Charlie. "But daddy, they owey need one! They share food all the time!" The boy indicated when the silverette placed two bowls in front of Charlie and Kali. If Kali was named after Ten's mom than...Charlie must of been...
Riku quietly shared the information to his husband as Tensai washed his hands in the sink, the two fathers watching him sympathetically.
Luckily for Axel, Flannery had kept her word that she wouldn't tell Roxas about what she had witnessed... as long as Roxel and Roxanne got their first gym badge with her. Axel didn't exactly know what that meant since the kids were long from reaching that goal but with a grin, he agreed. Stupid girl, she would probably forget this whole mess by then! AAAND, why would Roxas care what he did years ago!? Wait... it was Roxas.
He took the little girl back home with some bribes of ice cream and they had to wait a little longer to get back home since Rapidash couldn't control her flames so that it didn't melt the sweet. When they did get back home, it was evening and dinner was waiting for them. It seemed like the start of the tree house would have to be in the morning. Of course, that wasn't good enough for the princess.
"BUT DADDY! I WANT IT NOW!" "Roxy, I can't build in the dark." "But you have tons of fire types to give you light!" "Tree houses are made with wood, honey! It might catch on fire!" The little girl narrowed her eyes before plainly turning around and looked up at Roxas. "Daddy, daddy left me all by myself in the hardware store to yell at some mister and I was all alone and scared! He forgot about me!" "MIME, MIME!" The little Mime Pokémon chimed in. "What...?" The blonde father slowly looked over his shoulder before glaring at the redhead who's eyes were wide with fear. "AXEEEEEEEL!!"
Ah, so close... That night, the Pokemon nutritionist slept in the Torchic coop.
"Bui?" The little otter blinked as he looked down at his paw, watching the strong human wrapping it with some gauze. "See? My daddy is the best! He can do anything~" She stroked her father's ego a bit more before kissing him on the cheek then hopped off the toilet seat and rushed pass him. "Come on, Buizel! We'll got to bed and tell each other stories!" The little girl seemed so excited as she rushed into her room and closed the door.
As Terra walked back to his own, he paused, seeing Ven in the door frame looking at him with a smirk. "Shit, you sure you're gay?" He questioned slyly. "Cause you seem to melt when pretty little girls ask you to do things for them~"
Ten Years Later...
"USE FLAMETHROWER, NOW!" A fierce order was called and a little yellow chic opened her beak before a large, swirling flame shot out, heading right for her opponent. "KEMINA, COUNTERATTACK WITH WHIRLWIND THEN FINISH IT OFF WITH RAZOR LEAF!" "SHIFT!" Wooden arms came close in a flapping motion and a strong gust of wing shot out, mixing with the fire to push it back and put it out. Skillful feet twisted and a fast swirl sent sharp leaves out towards the little chic, smacking into her hard.
"Torchic!" The little bird was pushed back from the force, getting cut in a few places until the attack stopped. Swirls appeared in her eyes before she fell onto the dirt below. "Ah! Return, Melody!" A worried call came before a ray of red energy engulfed her and she was gone. A large red and white ball minimized in the boy's hand while a green and blue eyes looked down on it. "I'm sorry..." He apologized to the ball before his teeth clenched when a mocking laugh was expelled. "What are you laughing at?" The boy yelled, placing the ball in his pocket. A peculiar pocket too. His pants were tightly fit to his long thin legs, dyed red with a mocking Pokemon print. He wore a loose white top and a messy red tight to fit the look. His hair was a whole new mess to look upon, all fluffy and messed up and had a mixture of yellow and blonde to look like fire.
If one looked at him, they would of guessed he was a die hard fire trainer which would fit since the city's gym was for fire pokemon.
On the other side of the battle 'field', a Shiftry grinned in triumph as her master, a slightly older boy with some black clothes on and deep eyes that almost seemed red, peered back at him. "Only at an obvious loser. Face it Roxel, you're not going to win anything unless you evolve your chicken!" The boy taunted back, still chucking at the other's loss. "I don't need to evolve her! She's fine the way she is!" "Yea, I noticed." "Grrrrrrrr!" The punkish looking fire starter clenched his fists as the Shiftry was called back and the boy strolled over. His dark hair had some hints of blue when the sun pressed against it. "Better luck next time, loser~" He taunted again as he walked off, his head held high and his shoulders bold. "I'm going to go and get that badge now~"
"GAH! I hate you, Gunnar!" Roxel yelled out at the other before turned, stomping down the trail back to the haven. He didn't bother heading to the house but went to the Haven office instead, knowing that it was near 13:00 and his sister would be on the phone. When he opened the door, he was right. His multicolored eyes rolled in his head as he passed her, seeing her doll herself up. "We're going to see her tomorrow, why do you need to flirt with her now?" He grumbled, still in a bad mood thanks to another lost battle.
"Bonnie! Bonnie Tellus! Can I please get a word from you!" A man waved from beyond a microphone as a large crowd rushed after a single dolled up woman. She seemed a bit flustered but it was because she had changed to her street clothes. Even now, she looked rather glamorous and an obvious star. As she turned, her face appeared to the camera that was suddenly filming her. "Another flawless victory, huh? We wanna know how you do it!" The anchorman from Jubilife TV.
The young woman was about 16 1/2, her skin a beautiful honey roasted color, a bit on the darker side and her hair was a light auburn. Her face was exotic and sweet, an instant melting effect for all her admirers. Especially boys. It wasn't a shocker that this short skirt, tub topped, purple sunglasses and matching hot make up was the adopted daughter of the well known Terra and Ventus Tellus. Unlike her gym leader father, who was victorious in every battle he fought, his daughter was victorious in every Beauty contest she ever entered. With her stunning and elegant looks along with her beautiful and elegant pokemon, she was other coordinators worse nightmare. It was all thanks to the support of her parents and her personal trainer, Ventus.
The young woman smiled as the mic was placed up to her. "All I must say is practice, practice, practice." A sweet British accent carried into the mic before the interviewer asked a few more questions. She answered them but when she glanced at the time, she started to back away. "I'm sorry loves but I have a date to catch!" She waved and the security guards knew it was their cue to hold back the fans and lights. The girl walked out of a back door and sighed, pulling her hair up in a matching purple clip before reaching for her belt, grabbing a Friend ball and enlarging it. A ray of energy burst through and a large, three headed bird appeared.
She carefully climbed onto it's back before grabbing a tuff of its feathers. "Alright! Let's go home!" And off they went, the pokemon quickly leaving the city in no time to follow the path back to Sandgem.

"If you have a problem..." Roxanne was saying as she made the finishing touches to her hair, putting in two flower barrettes into her blonde pigtails over the rubber bands, making it look like fire lilies were sitting on her hair. "You should just say so Xel." She grinned, looking back at him. "Or are you jeaaalous?" The boy huffed, looking quite sour. "Oh, I know that look. Let me guess, Gunnar again?"
That was all that was needed, and Roxel was bitching and complaining in seconds, telling his female counterpart how he lost the battle and what the man had said. "Hmph, He and Lucina have some nerve, thinking they can tell US how to raise our Pokemon." She looked at her reflection and nodded, her curls bouncing before she turned and faced her brother. "What do they know anyways? I mean our daddy helped save the world with a Glameow!" She nodded then smiled. "Anyways cheer up. Just remember our journey starts soon too and we'll show them!"
"Sneasel! Dark slash!" "Come is that the best you got?" Came a taunt that echoed in the stadium. "Duck~" The colorful dragonfly quickly dropping low to the ground, the Sneasel flying overhead. "Dragon pulse." The Flygon tilted his head and opened his mouth, a strong stream of energy cracking into the little black Pokemon. With a cry it went flying through the air before hitting the ground, swirls in his eyes. The dragon straightened and gave a song of pride.
"Hmm well thats that." Terra said, recalling his Flygon. "You still have a lot to learn kid." He stepped down from the podium and walked out of his gym sighing. The kid hadn't even been able to take down one of his Pokemon.
As Bonnie approached, she saw that a young male trainer was walking out of the gym with his head hanging low, talking to a downtrodden Granbull. "I just don't understand! It was foolproof!" He looked up though when he noticed the Dodrio stopping at the gym doors. "Hey! Hey lady - if you're about to fight him, think again! He's crazy! My Sneasel couldn't even take down a Flygon! A Flygon!!!"
That poor boy wasn't the only one in a battle. "Alright Moxley, tackle attack!" "Veee!" A little colorful fox went rushing across the small field and jumped into the air. "Arrow, swoop up!" With a flap of wings, a Staravia flapped higher than the fox. "The tail!" Came the order from his master. "VEE?!" Moxley cried as his tail caught caught in wings. "Ah no! Moxley!" "Now, aerial ace, to the ground!" Colorful wings flapped and then the bird flew down in an arc, straight for the ground, Eevee crying all the way. But just as they were about to hit the ground - "Pull up!"
The dark wings angled and the bird flew out of the dive and let go of the Eevee, making him go tumbling into the grass. "Vee, vee vee!" "Ah!" The boy at the other side ran over to his fox, picking him up. "You okay Mox?" "Veee...." The fox nodded. "Good job Arrow." Came a word of pride for the bird, the master patting the feathers and giving him a treat. The boy sighed and looked up at the man - his father actually. "What did I do wrong that time?" "Well..." Sora started, smiling sympathetically. "When fighting a ground type with a flying type, you got to be careful when asking your Pokemon to go into the air. Most flying types can pick them right up, just like Arrow did. And you have to remember that they are most vulnerable in the air so-" "A protect spell..." Sora grinned. "Right! You're getting it Tenny!" "Daaaad." The boy pouted. "Oh sorry. Tensai. I keep forgetting my boy is all grown up now and about ready to start his journey!"

The thin teen sighed as he slouched onto the couch that was laid out for visitors to wait if they wished to adopt a fostered pokemon. As he drowned in his own anger, he felt a lick on his hand and glanced down at another Growlithe. The only difference with this one was that it wasn't Growly at all. It was another Growlithe that was brought to the Haven after being beaten badly by a team member on the Jagged Pass. They took him in and fostered him, getting him use to people again and building his trust. Roxel played a big part of that and when the pokemon passed a test that Roxas and Axel grade to set as 'adoptable', Roxel offered to take him.
"Hey Jax..." He spoke softly as he pet the fire dog before getting up, walking behind the counter and placing Melody's pokeball in the healing tray. It was slower than the Pokecenter but it would do the job. "I don't know, Roxy..." He boy sighed as he leaned on the counter, watching her turn on the TV phone and dialed a number before a Rotom started to move across the screen. "I don't really want to battle. I mean... I want to sing. I wanna start a band with my musical pokemon!"
The three headed bird stopped, all looking in different ways with all different expressions. It was an strange pokemon but was great with traveling, especially if one needed to get somewhere quickly! The woman riding the Pokemon could only chuckle before carefully dismounting, shaking her head before recalling the bird. "I never plan on challenging my papa~" She grinned, making the defeated challenger blush as she walked pass him and into the gym. The door closed behind her and she glanced around, smiling as she saw the obvious signs of battle. She had started to learn some battle techniques herself but never really planned on putting it into action. Her blonde father had told her that the attacks in her show would be more than enough if she found herself in a touch situation but Terra insisted in teaching her a few things himself.
She would never put her poor Pokemon against her dad's. The only people that could beat him was one with a LEGENDARY and the other having an upper hand with speed.
As she came out the back door, she smiled, seeing her tanned father petting his old friend. The poor dog was under the weather all week and he had a good reason for it too. Delcatty, the skitty that he had fallen in love with and saved, had passed this weekend. Her blonde father was ripped up about it too and he was probably at the Lost Tower now. "I really think you should go soft, daddy. You're going to discourage people from trying to be Masters." Bonnie patted her dad on the back, giving him a small smile before rubbing Houndoom's head. "I got another ribbon though."
"BRE!" A bark came from a worried father as he ran out the door when it was opened, rushing up to Tensai's leg and reaching up, pawing his son's tail to make sure he was alright. "Tensai! Your bags are all packed tomorrow!" Riku called from the house, a little bunny hopping by his side as she looked out too. She was down in the dumps as well, saddened that her little Tensai, who was now nearly a few feet taller than her, was leaving for a very long time and he wasn't going to take her along due to her age.

Roxanne paused and looked back at the other and put her free hand on her hip. "But Roxel, we already agreed we were going to set out together! Don't tell me you're going to abandon me!" "Mime mime!" Said the Mime Jr. at her side, miming the motion. They wave a hand, perfectly in sync. "And what about Ten-chan? He'll be so disappointed!"
It had really been tragic, finding Delcatty peacefully gone that morning. Houndoom woke them with his howling - but unlike any that brought fear... Terra knew what this one meant. And so did Ven, as he had heard it once before when Delcatty, only a Skitty at the time, saved his life from a bullet.
She wasn't the only Pokemon to be laid down to rest in years past from the heroes. Roxas' once loner Skarmory and unwanted Glameow, as well as Sora's once broken-winged Staraptor, and... and tragically his strength-loving Raichu had all fallen to the ills of old age. Terra remembered the last death the best... because of Luxray's tragic reaction to the loss of his old rival. The lion still had many years ahead of him. Many of them still living were no longer as strong or upbeat as well.
He knew Sora was already preparing for the worst of his long best and best friend. Back then, following the whims of the coins, no one really realized what they were deciding when they evolved their Pokemon. They were also deciding their lifespans. And while Leafeon had the longest.... Jolteon had the shortest.
He knew it shouldn't be a surprise. Some Pokemon did have long lifespans - like Arcanine and Ninetails who would both be outliving their masters - and some didn't. Even still, Terra felt saddened each time he received a call hearing about another loss.
"Really? Well that's great!" Terra said, bringing her into a proud hug. "I should open up a fucking underground betting ring for this kinda shit. I'd win every time." He rose an eyebrow then. "And what do you mean go easy? I'm not just gonna hand it to them~"
"Flllly...." Came a little call, wings fluttering as he flew above, before he swooped down near a lake where two larger forms of himself were resting. He wanted to tell his dad about his victory against the Sneasel!
"FLY!" He said... as he bit his dad's tail. "GOOOON!" And that woke him up alright! Sir bites-a-lot changed very little with his maturity.
"Veee~" Came a happy call from the Eevee, smiling down at his father. He was fine! It was just practice afterall. Though he did wish he had won... It woulda made his master so proud. "Okay dad!" Tensai called petting Umbreon before hurrying off inside with Moxley. "Heh... Don't worry Bre, you know I would never hurt him." Sora reassured, picking up the black fox quite lovingly, scratching him behind his ears just like he liked as he headed inside as well. He knew for both of them this time was hard as they would both be saying farewell to a son. "Tenny and Moxley are gonna protect each other, don't you worry." "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!" Came a faint call down the hall.

"Ut!" The fire head boy flailed his hands and shook his head. "H-hey! hear me out!" He cried before he slouched some more on the counter. I'll travel with you guys but that doesn't mean I have to fight. Wasn't there a famous group of people that traveled around with a gym leader that didn't fight? I can be like him!" He nodded but his sister didn't seemed all that trilled. Luckily, he was saved when the girl on the other end of the TV phone finally picked up and he knew he should head out before he started throwing up from the sweet talk. He amd Jax walked out of the center and headed into their house, walking in and going up the stairs. From the absence of sound, he was guessing that his dads were somewhere in the city.
The door opened to his room and he paused when he heard some music coming from inside. A smile ran over his lips when the door opened all the way and he saw two pokemon making some music. A sweet Chatot was singing his heart out while a Kricketune was rubbing her arms together to make some interesting music. Next to them, a Ludicolo was happily dancing but they all stopped when Roxel walked in. "Hey guys... great music." He smiled weakly, making the Pokemon become concerned. They all watched him as he fell onto his bed, pushing his bag off that he was suppose to pack before sighing. The bed dipped as Jax hopped up and laid on his legs.
"I guess we're leaving home tomorrow. I promised everyone I would travel with them but now I really don't know." He moved his head to see the musical group, giving them a loving smile. "I don't want you guys to get into battles and get hurt..."
"HAahahaha! DADDY!" The bronze girl laughed as she was pulled into a tight hug, hugging him back happily. He always boasted on about her and she did the same with him. No wonder her blonde father pouted all the time, declaring that he was once great too... in a dress. He was great though, even without a dress. If it wasn't for him, Bonnie would of never tried to be a coordinator and wouldn't have a place to practice. Ventus was the reason why there was even a large Contest plaza in Jubilife. He had funded it and ran it himself. Her aunt Aqua was still making fun of him this day for hosting Cute Contest in the plaza but Bonnie was really proud.
She pulled her way out of the hug, fixing her hair some. "Alright well... I need to get inside! I'd like to contact the gang who are suppose to be here in the morning just to see how they're all doing!" That was right. All the others who wished to start their journey decided why not do it together. Since Sandgem was near the middle of all the locations that everyone was coming from, they all decided to meet in front of Terra's gym in the afternoon tomorrow. It was also... the last gym they would compete in so they would return when their venture was done. This was kind of why Bonnie hinted her dad to go easy!
She walked off, smiling as she saw Moana lift her head, nuzzling her little son for his victory. When she entered the greenhouse, she could only smile when she saw a large, beautiful tree. This tree actually was a part of a pokemon. "Hey, Terra 2." She waved, feeling a rumble under the ground from the Continent pokemon replying back without lifting his head. She turned a vine filled corner and saw that the TV phone was free. Quickly, she straightened her hard and checked herself before sitting down and turning it on. There was already a happy looking Roton on the screen, asking if she would accept the call. She pressed a button and saw another pretty girl on the screen. "Afternoon, Roxy~"
Not too far away in Canalave City, where a home had a very large pond in the backyard, came a gentle knock on the door. An invitation came from inside the room and the door was cracked. "Veee?" A little Eevee peered in as her master did the same before they both walked in, seeing the young boy packing his things. "So, tomorrow is the start of your big day, huh?"

The blonde rolled her eyes and sighed with exasperation, but turned her head as she heard a little bing. she forgot her troubles instantly as a brilliant smile grew on her face. "Hey Bon-Bon~" She lent forward some, fluttering her lashes. "So how did the contest go? Wowed them right?"
The other gave her an affirmative - but asked her why she wasn't watching to know that. The blonde blushed guiltily. "Well, my daddies needed help on the field. We're getting two new rescues today so we had to get the haven ready and of course Xel was mysteriously absent." She rolled her eyes. It wasn't that her brother was a bad rescuer or anything - he was always there for the Pokemon, But one mention of the word 'clean-up' or 'rebuild' and he was off like a shot.
The other seemed a bit amused but asked what the Pokemon were. "We dunno. They didn't say just told us it was an emergency and that we had to get them by this evening because they were causing a lot of chaos back at the center. There related though! A momma and a baby. My daddies picking them up now."
The blue haired boy looked up and smiled, seeing his mother in the doorway. "Yep! Are you excited?" He chuckled, stuffing his backpack with a few extra pairs of socks. One thing you should never go without was a lot of socks.

Bonnie blinked a few times as she heard the news, finding it all a little strange. Usually the Haven would know what kind of Pokemon they would be taking in so they could get ready for it and set up what they needed to before going out and picking them up or having them delivered. It was a Sunday though and the Haven was usually closed... so it must of been something important. It was always exciting to hear what pokemon they would be getting, sometimes making her jealous with all the kinds she had seen that Bonnie couldn't even dream of. "Well, don't stay up to late, love." The girl warned softly. "You and your bro have a long journey tomorrow even before we head out. You're the one coming from far off and I sure you ain't taking the truck." When she wasn't in the camera's eyes, she never really spoke properly.
And yes, Axel had to break down and get a truck. A red truck that was. They desperatly needed it when they realized that not all their rescued Pokemon could be carried by other Pokemon.
No one actually knew... what kind of trouble this rescued mother and child would bring.
"Ah! They're here!" A woman cried as she opened the gates to Slateport City's Rescue Center. The red truck drove in and packed in the back, some other rescuers, young and old, coming out to meet the well known heros. It had been awhile since many of them had seen the duo. "Welcome back." A friendly could came from the back of the crowd, a line being made so the man could come shake hands with them. He was the Center's new owner and was actually an ex-Rocket himself. His name was Zexy, which always made Axel chuckle. He was rather short too, almost Roxas's height. The two said their hellos and shook their hands before they were led to a large metal crate.
Axel frowned as he looked it over, seeing little holes at the top so that whatever pokemon was inside could breath. The scary thing was... there were emboss marks on where said pokemon tried to bust out. "So... what....Pokemon are we fostering exactly?" There was silence and Axel and Roxas slowly looked around, seeing the unsure faces of the whole establishment. "Well... that's the problem. We don't... really know. We haven't actually opened the door to look. Someone on the boat that rescued these two opened the crate and he's now in the hospital. When he became conscious again, all he said was he saw a Raikou inside. It doesn't seem possible but... honestly, we didn't check. Since we knew you were advance rescuers and experts with the Stylis, we figured we should call you to see what you could do. All we know is that it's a mother and child inside."
The two rescuers looked at each other before Axel frowned, crossing his arms. "You do know we have young teenagers on the Haven. We really shouldn't be dealing with such dangerous Poke---" "Oh please!" One of the younger rescuers cried. "I've heard such lonesome and sad howls coming from that crate all night. This ship was off course and the Team that had them captured was one that wasn't even known to us. Who knows what they did to this poor pokemon and their baby... and if it IS a legendary, we don't want another apocalypse to happen again! Please, you have to!"
The other Rescuers agreed, not knowing anyone else but these two who had managed Legendaries, calmed other vicious pokemon and dealt with Teams before. Reluctantly, the two were against the wall. "Alright... but we have to see what kind of pokemon is in there before we can bring it to the Haven." The two walked towards the front door of the crate where it was barred and locked. Slowly, the bars were moved and the lock undone. Axel wondered if maybe it was a really pissed off Lucario or some other fighting type. He was sure if the pokemon was this angry to make define bumps in the crate, it didn't have special powers... unless it was a special kind of containment like the baby Lugia was in.
Slowly, teh redhead opened the door and the two rescuers peered in only to--- "ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!" A loud and ferocious roar came from within and instantly, an angry charizard snapped it's teeth towards them. The door was slammed and so was the Charizard's snout. The two puffed in panic, their hearts almost in their throat. "It's a charizard..." Axel put obviously before glancing back at Zexy. "Maybe you should contact Volken of Solaceon. He specialized in Chariza---"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark........Zor, zor....." A sad call came from within the crate, making everyone look at it again. Charizards... didn't sound like that.
Fuu smiled as she walked over to her son, rubbing his shoulders some. "Kind of. I'm going to miss you though. You know Aqua and I are going to be really worried so make sure you'll call us as much as you can, ok?" She knew she would be saying the same thing tomorrow morning when he headed out but she knew she wasn't going to get any sleep tonight and wanted to make sure she remembered to tell him. "So, is Draco ready? Anyone else?"

The cheeky girl gave a wink to the other. "Don't worry it'll be fine. I'm sure dad will slip some coffee into my cereal again or something." Well, okay. That was a bit mean. It was just an accident. Her daddy Axel was just no good without his coffee. He could hardly ever keep his eyes open and on worse days daddy Roxas made sure they steered clear of him completely until he drowned a whole pot.
But she still remember that one morning she and Xel were waiting for their breakfast, and her daddy was holding the milk in one hand and his coffee in the other, so tired he was mumbled for them to have a good breakfast before he dumped the entire cup into her and Xel's bowls and took a drink of the milk.
He was not very happy that morning when he thought his coffee was ice cold.
"Of course..." She sighed a little. "Xel sounds like he doesn't even want to go anymore."
Roxas too was beginning to think this was a bad idea overall. Sure they could take in a lot of Pokemon but... but they had some hiccups at the ranch too. Axel broke an arm trying to handle a Stantler who tossed him clear out of the corral. And Roxas still shuddered remembering the Hitmonlee that kicked him so hard nearly every rib on his left side snapped. And those were just work hazards. They had had COUNTLESS scares with the kids; but luckily very little injury wise for them. A scrap here, a scare there. They had been lucky, really. It was hard for them to turn away some Pokemon... but even they had things that were out of their league.
A Charizard was probably one of them.
But that noise... was not one of the fierce fire type.
Roxas frowned, crossing his arms before he walked slowly around the box, hearing the shifting inside. The parent was watching him. They had said before though they had seen Raikou...
"Maybe it's a psychic type. Like Xatu...?" He threw out their musingly, knowing the ability the bird had with mirages. He'd even heard once a Xatu had made some trainers think they were only two inches tall!
He paused back next to Axel. "Either way, if it's a parent and her a child inside, she's not going to let us near easily." Which wasn't good, because she was probably really hurt or the baby could be.
He knew though... he knew how she was feeling. It reminded him briefly about the night he and Axel finished the tree house. "I can't believe you just... just left her! Your daughter. In a store. By her SELF. I mean dear Arceus Axel, she's a little girl! Someone could of kidnapped her. What if Flannery hadn't found her? What if some... some pedophile snatched her up instead?! She could of gotten hurt or worse!" Roxas was shouting as he hammered a board, taking out his anger on it rather then bashing his husband's head in. "You're so lucky she's too young to hold grudges. I mean I put you in the dog house Axel when I'm pissed - but when she grows up, she's gonna fucking chain you inside and board up the door!" "You know I didn't mean too! A Pokemon was in trouble... I-I had to go help! And besides, nothing happened, she's fine!" "BUT SOMETHING COULD HAVE!" Came a yell, echoing the world into silence. Roxas shut his eyes taking a deep calming breath and said more calmly, "Axel I understand the need to help Pokemon who need it I do - but she is four years old. She doesn't! All she understood is the man who vowed to watch over her deserted her!" "Ahh come she's really smart and-" "Axel when you were four years old, how did YOU feel when Reno left?" "I.............................." The red-head looked away, mumbling, "Kinda... abandoned I guess...."
The blonde paused at the melancholy tone, halting their building to give the other a sympathetic look. He walked over and knelt down beside him. "Unwanted too huh?" When he got a slight nod he reached out, taking one of the red-head's hand's in his and rubbing it comfortingly. "Axel. I'm not asking you to... to stop caring. When someone is hurting a Pokemon, we are going to stop it. But also... when we have to win a Pokemon's trust, even just the slightest turn of our back can set us back weeks or even months." He took a breath and let it out slowly. "But now... we aren't just Pokemon rescuers. That day at the center... we rescued too little kids; and it's probably our biggest rescue yet - even bigger than baby Lugia. We're there heroes now... and all they have." He ran the fingers through red hair and smiled. "And we can't let them down." Green eyes peered down at him past thin frames, before the man sighed. "...Why do you always make so much sense?" "....Pff, make anything a Pokemon or a coffee metaphor and you'll get it." Roxas said with a grin of amusement. "Hey!"
Behind him he heard Zexy express some concern but Roxas smiled a bit, taking off a pokeball from his belt and enlarging it. With a tap on the button light exploded and suddenly a colorful parrot flapped his wings. "Chaaatot!" "Chatot, I need you to sing your best slumber song to that box, got it?" "Sing, sing!" The feathers ruffled as the musical bird took flight and perched on some bars. "Everyone else, you'd best cover your ears!" Roxas said, doing so as he gave the warning. Chatot's lullaby was pretty strong...
"Yep. I think we're all good!" His mother paused but started to list off things he needed to make sure he had. That was her, always so precise. "Moooooooooom." Sanyi said, sounding precisely like Tensai. "You're worrying!" They had ended up being very good friends. Sanyi had the best of manners and Tensai had a big, kind heart. They just clicked. He'd say they were best friends but... he knew Xel wouldn't like that.
Then again all the rescuee orphans were very good friends with each other. They were all bonded together by their fathers and mothers, and moreso by their losses. On sleepovers on their yearly visits, they had discussions about their family sometimes. He remembered the long nights telling them about his sister and two brothers; his mother and father. About the Mareep farm he once was in charge of.
They all knew each other very well.

Bonnie chuckled at the joke she made about her redheaded father. She knew how much Axel loved coffee. Once, he had walked in on her when she was getting dresses, so tired that he thought the bathroom was the pantry. Luckily, she had the bathrobe around her at the time and he lazily opened the medicine cabinet, realizing that no coffee can was inside and left. She never really told anyone, only claiming that he was nuts. His eyes didn't stray so she knew well enough that he wasn't some pervert. "Alright. If you're late, I won't give ya any kisses~"
She paused, seeing the other look down some, her eyes becoming dark as she sighed. Something was wrong and it didn't take long for her to speak her concerns. "Bah! If that boy keeps changin' his mind, he ain't gonna have a head left! No wonder his clothes don't match and his hair's a mess! He can never keep his word on anythin! Do I have to come there and woop his dum, love?"
"What do you suggest we do?" The leader of the Rescue Center frowned, watching as Roxas came around the crate, still seeming to ponder on some ideas. He watched in silence as the blonde grabbed a pokeball, a bit excited to see what he would summon and nodded in understanding when he saw the Chatot. Why didn't he think of that!? Putting a pokemon to sleep was a great way to calm it down and handle it better. The only problem was, some pokemon her immune to sleeping attacks. He just hopped that WHATEVER pokemon was inside wouldn't have this trait.
Everyone quickly covered their ears as the bird started to sing. Little music notes started to wrap around the crate. Inside, if anyone could hear, the noises started to weaken and there was a loud bang. The bird knew it was time to stop and when it closed its beak, every taking their hands away from their ears and looking at the now silent crate. A long arm reached out and thin fingers wrapped around the handle again. "Be careful Axel, it could be a trick." Zexy warned but the redhead nodded, slowly opening the door again, waiting for the worse. His arm was ready to slam the door when--- nothing happened.
The door creaked open and actually fell off as the bolts holding it together were so rusted from age and condition. One had to wonder how long these poor pokemon had been kept inside. Everyone leaned in a little closer, looking inside only to gap their mouths at what they saw inside.
It was... a pokemon that none of them had ever seen before.
Axel was the first to slowly reach down, taking the stylis, carefully watching the large pokemon that was facing away from them. Its breathing was a little labored but it was steady and even enough to tell it was truly asleep. A large, grey and black body was in a fetal position, as long, red and black.... hair rested on the cold cement floor. A dull blue orb seemed to hold it in place near the bottom before a puff of black and red ended the hair to make it look like a kind of tail. "What is that?" A rescuer asked as the two walked inside. "Never saw anything like that before." "Think it's a new, undiscovered pokemon?" "Maybe it's like Mewtwo and someone made it." "We should call the professor to look at it---" "Ssssssssshhhhhhhhh!" Axel whipped around, his green eyes narrowing while his finger was on his mouth.
Roxas was the one who leaned down first, slowly reaching out to touch the mangled, ratty hair. Since Axel was taller, he could see over the creature an noted that the Pokemon was holding onto something.
