"MIIIISSSS!" The ghost called as she tried to avoid the attack, flying off but the kingler's claw got the end of her 'cape', making her smack into the ground hard. "GUS!"
"MISSY!" Fuu cried in worry, swallowing before she took a deep breath.
Stay calm...
"Use Shadow Sneak!" She called before the ghost's shadow started to expand behind the crab... and she disappeared.
Before he could realize what happened, she headbutted the crab hard, making him go flying.
Ven frowned as he watched it all. Most of their pokemon didn't have status problem attacks... but it seems like that was the only way they could win without them trying to push their pokemon to death...
"Hey! Don't be so mean.
You just suck, you and your team!"
The girl snapped back before the bat was pushed away, flapping more than usual to keep himself airborne.
"Use sludge bomb all over the water
The poison will surely slaughter!"
The pink bat flew around the water, his mouth opening every now an then, throwing purple globs down into it. It stuck to the surface, burbling and seeming to steam.

The large Pokemon blinked as the ghost suddenly disappeared and he looked around, a little panicked. before hie master could yell (and rhyme about) how she was behind him again, the large crab was already hit. "KUUU!!!" Cried the crustacean, sliding along the platform until his small claws his the edge. He flailed a little but his heavy weight caused him to fall right in!
"What a cheap move!
"I highly disapprove!" Rant snapped at the silverette, scoffing angrily.
But before much more could be said about it, suddenly the sludge bomb was dirtying the water with toxin.
"Shit..." Aqua hissed, feeling a little panic herself as she looked for the duck underneath the water, seeing him withering some... but the corner of her eyes caught something yellow and she glanced towards Ven for a moment... before an idea sparked her mind.
Of course. Coordinators usually combined their attacks for a nice show... and if her status ailments weren't working...
She could do that.
She grinned looking towards the water. Golduck, use Aqua Jet in that sludge, and hit Kingler!"
"Wha-" Rant started to call, but even if he wanted to tell his Pokemon to do anything Golduck was much water. There was a spinning torrent of water that leaped through the air, swirling up some of the muck before arching back into the water, gathering more. The next time he leapt from the water, Kingler was hit and flung up above him. "KUUUUU!!!" The torrents quit and a tail smacked into the crab.
"KUUKIE!!" He cried before splashing back into the water.
Golduck landed on the platform Missy hovered around on his flippers, panting some. He watched the crab appear once more, weakly getting up on top of one of the other platforms. Both of them winced at the same time, unfortunately, both poisoned.
Rant growled, looking towards the girl next to him.
"Look at what you've done now!
How will we win now?
Tell me, how?!"

Fuu's eyes widened as she saw her lover's act, smiling as it worked... but both seemed to be poisoned. Did someone have an antidote? The rules never said they couldn't use an item...
She looked at Aqua quickly, nodding to her. "Great job, where did you come up with it?"
Across the stadium, the ghost flew around her friend. "Miiiiiisss~" She spoke, making sure he was alright. At the flinch though, she knew he was poisoned.
However, she blinked as she heard arguing behind them, looking at the two twins.
"What!? Don't blame me about your poor calls
You're the one that always drawls!
Your choice in pokemon has always been poor
Battling with you is like a chore!
Teach your worthless things some better moves
Or our team will never improve!"
Ven's eyes narrowed as he heard them bicker, knowing that there had to be a way they could use their arguments as an advantage. If only Riku had his telepathic powers, he could of called silent attacks... or Sora with his sound training and false moves.
That would work well when he was battling but what could the girls do?
He left his seat and jumped down pass Sora and Riku before going up to the two. "Hey..." He whispered up at them. "Try using hand signals while they're not paying attention."

"Good job Golduck!" Aqua smiled as her plan worked, glad she had targeted the crab instead of the bat. Of course, thanks to Fuu owning one herself she knew that, while not immune to it, Crobat were much less likely to gain the poison status ailment, being poison themseleves.
She glanced at Fuu, then grinned. "Let's just say, watching all those girly contest battles did me some good."
Unlike them, who were at least at peace, their was anything but harmony across the battle field.
"Excuse me sister?!
You're the blister!
A pain in my ass,
and the last of the class!
My Pokemon can cause an ache,
yours are just a mistake!!"
Aqua rose an eyebrow hearing the two arguing, them looked towards there Pokemon, one flapping around in circles while Kingler just stood there, both a little befuddled.
"Goool..." The duck rubbed the back of his head wincing again as the poison hit once more. Just standing around was not helping.
They were so busy yelling at each other they didn't even notice Ven hurrying over and telling the girls' something. Aqua rose her eyebrow, glancing towards the water where Golduck stood. "But Ven we never trained them to do that..." The blonde just said to try. She sighed, but nodded and lucky for her her duck turned just in time to look at her, waiting for something to happen. She waved her hand then pointed to the two Pokemon insistently. The duck tilted his head, confused. "Duck...?"
She sighed before tapping her forehead and pointed at the enemies again. The duck just stood there, further confused. If she could just tell him... She sighed then glanced to Fuu. "You try."

The girl barked back, her pink eyes becoming almost the same color as her brothers as she growled.
"Well at least try!" Ven whispered, before watching Aqua do some motions with her hands... and fail. What a dumb duck. All those headaches as being a Pyduck must of really affected it!
Fuu could only grin as Aqua asked her to try it before nodding. "That was the good part about being a security guard for the gym we met at. Missy and I had to come up with hand jesters to stay quiet on patrol."
She turned to her pokemon, seeing that she was watching Aqua's hand movements, trying to understand them as well. She spoke softly to Golduck, saying something along the lines that she wants you to use your gem.... but that still didn't work.
Fuu rose her hand in front of her other before pulling them apart, doing that a few times before crossing her index like a plus sign before laying one palm flat and then used the other to cross over it slowly so that a shadow was easily seen.
She glanced at the pink Golbat before 'flapping' her hands.
The ghost tipped her hat before she rose into the air and multiplied. However, she didn't wrap around anything by images of herself appeared all over the stadium before circling around.
On the corner of her eye, Rave saw the many ghosts before looking at the battle. She growled after realizing that she didn't know what ghost was real since they were all over. It had to be the one closest to Golduck.
"Golbat, use Cross poison on the ghost near the blue
I know if for sure that that one is true!"
The bat wasted no time, diving towards the Mismagius near Golduck, his wings glowing before slashing down in an 'x'.... to fall right through it.
A Mismagius close by however disappeared, a shadow under Golbat making her reappear before slamming into the Golbat hard, pushing him down towards Golduck.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!
You're sweetness much decays!" Rant shouted, his body shaking with fury.
"How dare you say it is my fault!
You were the one to start the assault!
You should see your ugly reflection,
to realize why we lost affection!"
Aqua tilted her head, watching what her girlfriend was doing and then say the ghost understand completely and start to do an attack. It was something. "K-Kuukie?!" Cried the kingler, a little confused.
Aqua smiled some, leaning over and giving the silverette a kiss on the cheek. "You're amazing, you know that?"
She grinned when it made Fuu blush before hearing Rant, noticing the twins had noted what was going on. However Crobat made a bad choice, hitting through one of the doubles only to get smacked hard in the back by the ghost and thrown towards the duck.
"Confusion!" Aqua called, and the bat started to glow red before he was thrown into the ground. "And now water gun." The stream hit the bat, making him go flying back.
Kingler started to dance a bit on his platform, waiting for his master to give a call... and was confused when Rant just stood there, crossing his arms.

Red eyes widened as she felt a kiss on her cheek and the complement before looking away, blushing bashfully. This was not the time though! She looked up as she heard a painful call coming from the pink bat, frowning as she saw him being thrown left and right before landing on a platform, falling over himself before heating a horrible crunching sound.
"UT!" Axel's head snapped up, looking at the Golbat that laid on platform, wincing as he tried to get up but it was easy to tell his wing had been snapped.
"Grrrrrrr..." Rave's eyes narrowed, glaring at the bat before back at her brother, not seeming to care one bit.
"You always blame things on me
For its the truth you cannot see..."
Fuu felt bad as she looked at Mismagius then the Kingler. "You magical leaf..." She ordered before the ghost quickly flew back towards the crab before spinning, the glowing leaves flying down towards him again.
"This is a joke... we should be taking care of Metagross and look for that lugia..." Riku finally whispered.

Almost everyone besides Rant and Rave themseleves winced or grimaced at the horrible sound of the wing breaking. Even Golduck hesitated, but when he heard Aqua telling him to go make sure he was alright he hurried over to the poor bat who was struggling about. "Goool..." He said softly, apologizing. He'd never actually... hurt someone in a fight before.
Aqua rubbed the back of her neck, feeling ashamed of herself. Damn... she hadn't thought that would happen...
Roxas reached out, grabbing onto Riku's hand. "Hey it's okay..." He tried to soothe the other even though he himself felt terrible. But it was strange. He remembered that bat and bird wings were nothing alike because he had once trying to help a Zubat with a hurt wing before, thinking it had to be like a Murkrow's... but Mandi, the poison specialist showed him the difference. They had wings similar to a Charizard's or Dragonite's, with very thin bones surrounded by a filmy wing that gave them more speed.
He remembered... very specifically though that she had told him their bones were not only well protect but very rubbery as well, making them very hard to break and was why many trainers preferred to use them in battles instead of birds. Sure, maybe Golduck had gotten lucky and he just landed wrong but from here that fall had seemed like it shouldn't of caused a break. Unless...
"They're badly malnourished..." Roxas murmured suddenly, remembered the slightly pale color to Gyarados' scales. He bet if he got closed to Kingler, the shell would feel more rubbery and not as hard... and Pachirisu's fur would feel oily and unhealthy. It wasn't uncommon with abusive trainers it just... it meant they'd have to be real careful not to hurt them worse in these battles.
Sora meanwhile frowned as he heard what Riku said, looking down some, for once unsure what to say. "I know Ri but... But we don't even know where to start looking, and if we win they might tell us and..." Well no, they probably wouldn't.
Lluckily not the only one who heard what the man had said.
"And what about these Pokemon Riku?" Terra said from behind him. "They're being hurt too... and need our help. As long as we've got them preoccupied here... we're saving someone."
Kingler looked up at the ghost them towards his master, waiting for him to tell him to attack... anything!
But the attack hit without a word from him. "Kuuukie!" The poor crab cried, hiding his face behind his claws. When the attack stopped he slumped to the ground.
"This is a waste!" Rant threw the next transfer ball.
"Take him, he's easily replaced.
I'll meet you all on the field of ice.
I'll be sure to make you all pay a price." He walked off the stand before heading through the next two doors. It was a surprise, seeing him forfeit... but it might of just been because he wanted to distance himself from his sister for awhile.

Fuu watched the poor Kingler slump, seeing how bad Missy felt. This would be her first big battle that she won... and she couldn't even feel good about it. She sighed before taking Missy's pokeball. "Great job, Missy... return." The energy reached far, taking the ghost as Aqua took back her golduck.
She looked up as a ball was thrown to her, catching it easily before looking down at it. Why was he...
She was thankful though, pointing it at the Kingler. "Return!" She called, the poor pokemon getting energized before she felt the weight in her hand.
One, two and three shifts made the ball click, the weight staying. She smiled softly before adding it to the back of her belt, knowing not to use it.
She then looked across the field at the lone girl who's arms were still crossed, anger in her face.
Rave's foot tapped before she growled loudly before grabbing a ball and throwing it out at Aqua. She didn't say a word as she turned and jumped off the stadium before going the same route as her brother.
The rest of them were silent, looking at each other. Riku's however, didn't move as they were still puffy and lacking life.
They all shifted when Axel was the first to move, heading to a door on their side. "Come on, we have to finish this quick." He stated before others started to follow.
Outside, the lone pokeball managed to finally roll into the side of a building and popped, releasing a slightly smaller Absol. Red eyes looked around as he studied the place, horror in his face. "SOL!" He cried as he stepped in blood before backing into a body.
What happened here!?
DID HE FAIL TO WARN THESE PEOPLE!?
He whimpered as he walked to a body, sniffing it... but realized this person had been dead for a few days, if not longer.
He hadn't failed a warning.
But still... he didn't like this place at all, already noting that it was staining his white fur.
He rose his head, taking in all the gross scents before picking up ones of the group of humans he DID know.
"Ab!" He said determinedly before running after it. He came up to the gym but noticed that the front doors had been sealed by an attack, making him whimper and sniff around it.
He started to track around the building before seeing a ladder hanging from the roof. He tested it out, his blue claws having a bit of a hard time managing it but he started to climb up the best he could.

Aqua sighed as she returned her duck, thanking him for his help. She caught the transfer ball that was thrown to her by the angry girl watching her stomp off. Like Fuu, she hesitated before she pointed it at the field. "Return..." The hurting bat was sucked up by the light. The ball shook a little bit, but quickly the bat was caught, no doubt he had no energy to fight it.
She looked down at it, sighing but looked up when she heard Axel's call and seeing the others slowly getting up and following after. She stepped down from the platform, following after with Fuujin a little more slowly - and was surprised when Roxas came to her side, holding something out to her. "Trade you."
She blinked some, staring down at what the other had in his hand. Two antidotes. One for Golduck... and one for Kingler. She hesitated, before taking them and placing the pokeball in his hands, knowing Crobat would probably get the most help from him. "Will... Will he be alright?"
Roxas blinked before looking up at her and smiling. "Don't worry. Bat wings heal much better than bird wings. He'll be alright."
The woman sighed, nodding some but she still felt guilty...
"Aqua you know it's not your fault." When Roxas got a disbelieving stare he only smiled. "It wasn't. It shouldn't of broken... the only reason it did is cause they aren't taking good care of him. Once he gets a better diet he'll be fine."
Aqua looked at him for a few moments. Now Roxas had never particularly liked her... so if he was trying to cheer her up, she knew he was being honest. She smiled some and nodded. "Thank you..."
Adirelle watched her daughter leaving the ring, shaking her head some at the end of the battle, seeing how guilty she seemed at hurting the bat. She was... just like her father. She sighed, shaking her head. Ronan... you'd be so proud of her.
She blinked however when she watched her daughter leave the ring and suddenly the screen cut out and she and Hoshi both jerked in surprise as the screen revealed a closeup of Rant's face. The boy scowled maliciously.
"No more games to play.
Now everyone is prey.
Soon their blood will be spread,
for you to see, all dead!" The boy cackled before moving away and walking to a ring, revealing a field of ice. But it was his voice that made even Adrielle shake.
"Aqua... watch out..."
"Who is next?!" Rant yelled as the others entered into the new stage area, the air much cooler here to keep the ice field frozen. "Come on the question is not so complex!"
Axel was about to step forward but - "Ax, no!" His lover called to him and he glanced back. The blonde rose the transfer ball and the red-head needed to know nothing more. He knew the Crobat's hurting wing could not wait to be taken care of. Sora had actually taught him that with Nimbus...
But then that only left two people to fight.
Sora hesitated looking at Riku, seeing the look in his eye. He frowned before looking towards the field, walking forward. "I will!" He was almost to the field when his brother, Ven, grabbed his arm, murmuring to him. Sora hesitated, listening to what the other had to say before he smiled a little and nodded. "Alright..." He walked to the field, grabbing the first ball on his belt. He held it close to his heart shutting his eyes. "You can do this..." He threw the Pokeball. "Go Jolteon!"
The fox appeared in a flash of light. His ears were down though and he sat down on the ice, looking more like he was grieving then ready for a battle. The sight of him made him frown. Of course Jolteon had known what happened to Metagross....
"Hahaha, what a pathetic creature!
Is sadness his only feature?!
Scizor let's go!
Let's take down this useless foe."
Jolteon didn't even raise his head, whimpering softly.
Sora shut his eyes his eyes watering some before he spoke to the fox, "Jolt I'm sorry for putting this up to you... I know you're hurting, we all are." The fox's ears perked up some listening to his words. "But I need your help. We all need your help Jolteon. We can't let anyone else end up like our friends have. I know you can do this... please..."
The fox sat there for a few moments before he rose his head violet eyes opening. He looked back at Sora and nodded, barking once, before getting to his feet. He was right... He knew the pain of losing Rosa... and now Metagross. But he would do everything in his power to protect the rest of his friends and family!
His spikes stuck up and he started to growl at the boy and the girl who joined him.

They moved into the next room, not knowing of what Rant had done before they entered.
The room was cold, making some shiver, especially Axel. He smiled, knowing that he could warm this place right up. He walked towards the stage only for Roxas to call for him. He pouted but nodded, rushing over to aid Roxas as the bat was called out, looking miserable and... horrible. When was the last time he was fed!?
Ven rushed up to Sora quickly after the brunette seemed to realize that he was the one left. "Hey.." He pulled him close before whispering into his ear. "Make sure you really use your whistle and fake call tricks, that's the key to winning!" he patted his brother on the back before walking with terra to the bleachers, allowing houndoom to sit on him as well. Aqua and Fuu sat close, huddling to keep warm.
With a frown, Riku knew he was next as well before slowly walking up to the platform. He had not real color to him, his eyes still pale from everything. However, they glanced down at the chosen Pokemon frowning as he realized that Sora had chosen his closet friend.
He looked out, seeing Rave not standing so close to her brother like before, glaring at him, waiting for him to choose next.
What better stage... to use her...
A hand limply took a duskball before tossing it out, a blue energy popping to release a beautiful ghostly maiden... who looked almost as happy as Jolteon if not worse. Her arms drooped as her eyes seemed as distant as Riku's.
However... Riku couldn't find the encouraging words like Sora...
"Another ghost
I hate them the most."
Rave snarled before reaching for her own pokeball and sending it out to reveal a brown and pink Lopunny.

Roxas reached out, gently picking up the bat and setting him in Axel's hands, warning him to keep his fingers away from the sharp teeth. He dug through his things, finding the first aid kit. He pulled it out and opened it, carefully taking out some Popsicle sticks and bandages. "Now this is gonna hurt some little guy..." The next few moments were tricky the bat flapping and screeching about as he started to splint and bandage the wing, but not very tough since he was poorly taken care of and lost all his energy quickly.
"There see all done." He said gently, before smiling and going through his bag. "Let's get you something to eat..." This seemed to perk up the little bat some as he was set down on his stubby little feet and some food was pour in a bowl and set before him.
Not far away, Aqua was doing some similar, having her Golduck set before her before spraying the antidote on the crossing mark on his back. The duck hissed a bit... before sighing. She chuckled softly. "Feel better?"
"Duuuck..." The other said softly. He was returned to his pokeball for a rest.
Next, Kingler was called. The crab seemed uncertain and maybe a little scared. The claws didn't make her even a little bit nervous as she rubbed the top of his head. "Hey don't worry. Everything's alright now." She took the second antidote before spraying it on him, spraying it against the underside of his body. The crustacean winced some... but blinked as it made him feel tons better in just moments. His master never gave him one of those before... "Are you hungry?" She asked, noticing what Roxas and Axel were doing.
"Kuukie!!" The kingler said happily, suddenly hugging her and the other woman happily his big claws having no trouble wrapping around them.
"W-Whoa!" Aqua blinked then chuckled softly, sharing a glance with Fuujin. "Hehe, I take that as a yes."
Houndoom rose his head, seeing the two Pokemon eating them barked up at Ven. The blonde looked at him as he nudged the transfer ball with the little squirrel in it urgently.
Jolteon meanwhile looked up at Froslass, seeing the grief in her own eyes. His ears tilted down some, before he barked softly up to her. He knew how badly she was hurting... more then possibly any of them. If only Metagross had known...
He whimpered to her lightly, before saying softly, "I am sorry Froslass..."
They didn't even know their actions were getting recorded, some of the cameras being drawn to their movement...
Hatori was rolling his eyes as he watched the screen show his son and Ven letting that damn pink squirrel out, finding something for it to nibble on. All the while the mother smiled proudly.
A blue-haired woman stood from the couch, turning away to hide the small smile on her face as the scene on the TV showed her daughter being hugged by the humongous crab. "I should get back to those files... Tell me if anything else happens with her."
"Yes, Miss Adrielle."
Even those they didn't know they were attracting as news of the battle on TV spread...
Red eyes glanced at the TV as he passed, noticing the movement on it though not really caring. but WHO was on it made him freeze completely. He backtracked looking up at the screen and then... "SOL! AB-ABSOL!!!" He barked loudly catching the attention of all around. His daughter came to him first, one having a little Seedot on her back and looked up at the screen as well. But soon his calls caught the attention of an older woman. the same one who began the rescue center.
"Vuuulpix!" Cried the golden fox happily, tails wagging at the sight... of their masters!
A similar situation was happening in Vermillion, a blue dog barking as his master came running past in an overly packed center. "What is it Itzel?" He walked over a Pikachu with a heart-shaped tail in his arms. He hesitated then gasped some, recognizing the men on screen.... and then the Jolteon that appeared next.
"Pika!!" Cred the Pokemon in his arms. She remembered them too!
"Kuku! You need to come see this!"
And again and again all over the world...
Demyx sat down beside Saix, holding his hand tightly as the TV played, murmuring about how he hoped Gary was alright...
Diliza watching with some pride as she noticed the wing being bandaged almost expertly from a blonde she had given to advice to, looking up as Fulgencia and Volken leaned over her chair to see what the screen was playing...
Pietra sitting down next to her giggling co-worker as she squealed about how 'hot' Axel was. She shook her head some but looked on urgently to the battle, having caught on the news it was somehow very important.
Even a woman was watching nervously as the screen in the shelter she had managed to find a place in who didn't know she should have known two of those boys well watched. She rubbed at her eyes every now and again, having cried since she had to evacuate her home and just barely made it to the mainland in time before the oceans became uncrossable. A handkerchief appeared in her line of vision and she blinked, looking up at a man with long dark brown hair who was smiling at her. She thanked him taking the handkerchief and drying her eyes before introducing herself as Runa.
His name was Jet.
The screen centered on the red-head suddenly as he threw an arm out, still looking unhappy and vicious. His Scizor... looking no more friendly as he crossed his arms like an X across his chest. almost as if... he was telling them they were going to die.
"Let this battle begin.
There are no more chances for you to win!
Scizor, show them your ability!
Hurry and use agility!"
That perked up both Sora AND Jolteon.
He was trying to beat them with speed...
Well, Rant was going to be mighty disappointed.
"Jolteon, you know what to do. And listen for the birdsong!" Sora called.
"Jol!" Called the fox, understanding both orders. Of course he knew what to do... he had fought Raichu countless times and once knew agility himself. He noticed the Pokemon speeding around, rushing forward towards him, his paws getting a little extra speed due to the ice. He gave a mighty jump and actually managed to find the bug type, smacking his paws on the top of his head and knocking him off balance and flailing into the ice, the kick sending him higher in the air. He twisted in the air, pointed down.
"Pin missile!"
Jolteon growled before needles rained from his fur down on the bug type. Not the most excellent of choices, seeing as the moves were of his type, but he knew what else his master had planned...
OOC: Hey I was thinking about this... what if Froslass refused to fight at first because she's too depressed to?

Axel smiled as he picked up the pink bat, bring the food with him and placing it on his knee. The bat didn't seem to care, too hungry to even notice that he was being pet. "You did a great job on his wing, Rox..." He smiled as he looked out, smiling at his boyfriend. Roxas's idea about fostering abused Pokemon... sounded better and better every second.
He could just see it, being surrounded by pokemon that needed care, being able to show them that humans were alright and putting in time with them all. Sure, it was going to be a lot of work... and money... and time; sure it was going to be stressful and maybe even dangerous but... they would do it together... and they knew most of all that it would be sad but rewarding to see their pokemon adopted.
He'd probably want to keep them all!
Fuu watched as the crab was released as well as golduck, seeing how gentle Aqua was with them. It put a smile on her face, knowing how far Aqua had come from her abusive days as a Rocket.
She frowned however when she heard the wincing from the Kingler, seeing how scared he was. Had he never received an antidote before?
Now that she was closer to this pokemon, she could see how rubbery his shell and claws were. They were suppose to be much harder than that...
Her red eyes widened as she was caught off guard, being pulled into a BIG hug. "AAH!" She called but had to laugh as she realized how happy he was. He really was a cutie!
When he FINALLY let go, Fujin reached into her bag, taking out a pouch and bowl. The bowl was placed in front of the crab and again, couldn't help but laugh at how emotional he got when he saw there was nothing inside yet. "Hold on!" She smiled before opening the pouch, pouring the food inside of the bowl.
"Huh?" Ven blinked as houndoom barked, nuzzling the pokeball on the back of his belt. He looked down, taking the ball softly before looking around at the others. Oh...
He tapped the ball, the energy releasing the squirrel... on top of houndoom's head.
The two seemed to be confused but were drawn by the blonde's chuckle. "Here..." He reached into his bag, grabbing a container that had crackers inside. There weren't much left but it would do.
A cracker was handed to the small rodent, Ventus trying to hold back a laugh as he realized it was quite big for her but she grabbed it quickly and started nibbling on it like she hadn't been fed in weeks!
"Poor thing..."
"SOL! AB-ABSOL!!!" Red ears perked as she heard the call from her father, allowing the Buneary she was 'playing' with go off back into the forest. She hurried through the crowd, not minding them much anymore as long as those little ones stopped pulling on her tails! How would they like it!
By the time she got into the center, a beautiful cream fox came from one of the rooms, a little creature dangling from her mouth as she held her from the scruff.
They all gathered around the TV, watching as the trainers were all showed. The little red absol was placed on her father's back, still too young to move around but her little red eyes opened to see all her siblings. "Sol..."
"NINE!" The fox barked as she saw her master and his mate. It was so good to see them again!
"DOTDOT!" Thad bounced on the golden Vulpix as he cheered.
A woman stopped as she heard all the commotion, letting her assistant take care of a magikarp that had been hurt while being pulled on shore. She had to admit... she wasn't the best with water types. "Just clean his scales and make sure the laceration isn't infected." She instructed before walking around the corner, shocked to see the family of pokemon staring up at the TV. She walked over, looking up to gasp. It was her nephew and his 'partner' along with all their friends. Thank god they were all safe... but where were they now?
A man was writing at the front desk, some paper work that needed to be filled and over loaded all over the desk. He was seeming to slave over it, his features frail and his eyes worn. "Krooow..." The bird on his shoulder too seemed to nod off slowly, his body relaxing until---
"Kuku! You need to come see this!"
The shoulder he was sitting on shot up... and he fell down onto the desk. "KROW! KROW! KROW!" He fumbled, feather's flying all over the place as he woke up.
Eyes glanced around to make sure no one else saw that before he took flight, flying after his master who was rushing to the back.
"What is it!?" He called, a bit stressed but his eyes landed on the TV, blinking as he saw the rescuing team. "What are they doing?"
"MAMA! PAPA! LOOK!" A girl called as she huddled up to a blanket on a big comfy chair, looking around as her parents rushed into the room. "What is it, Lilo?" Her mother asked in worry only for the little girl to point at the TV.
Both husband and wife looked up at it before realizing that the people who they housed were in a gym and battling... while nurturing pokemon. "Oh!" Firi said as she sat down on the couch nearby with her husband, drying her hands from washing the dishes in her dress.
Outside, a large pokemon looked through the window before sitting. His tail waved back and forth as he panted, watching the humans as well. He was hoping that he would see Arcy...
Back at the gym, the frozen maiden didn't saw a word as her friend tried to cheer her up. Instead, tears fell down her face as her long, kimono like arms kept wiping them away. She didn't move as Jolteon was called out for an attack, just floating there as hollow as she actually was.
Riku swallowed as he watched her, seeing she was as torn up as him. She was a mother to everyone, much like Ven's Espeon to her siblings... and losing...
"Bunny, use Shadow Ball on that ghost
Give her something to cry about at the most!"
The rabbit pokemon seemed to test out the area, a timid nature about her that didn't surprise anyone. Now knowing that these were abused Pokemon... they weren't so intimidating (except for that gyarados).
However, when she got her footing, she was off, bouncing towards the froslass before her arms came together, creating a large swirling ball of purple.
"PUNNY!" The rabbit called before throwing it towards Madame.
"Snow, dodge it and use thunderbolt on Lopunny." Riku ordered softly... but his eyes started to widened when he realized that Snow was still crying, not moving an inch and---
"NO!"
The ball smacked into her hard, smashing her down into the ice. "LAAAAAAAAAASS!" She cried, skidding across the ice before she stopped, more tears falling from her face and becoming shards around her as they touched the ice below.
"Madame Snow..."

Eskel was frowning, seeing the battle beginning and shook his head. "I don't know but..."
Itzel started to growl when it showed the red-haired boy. He, unlike his master, had not missed those dangerous words. The Pikachu's ears lowered and she whimpered softly, the gaze in his eye frightening her. He looked somewhat like her old master...
"I think they're in trouble."
"What in the world...?" Gin murmured to himself sitting on the opposite side of his daughter, his weight making the couch depress towards him and his daughter slide some against his body. He recognized the red-head instantly, never really forgetting a face of someone he helped save. The blonde as well - he had been so obviously infatuated. The more people who panned by on screen, the easier it was to remember. The only ones he didn't recalled where the two young adolescents. But something about them... made him wary.
It finally landed on the brunette that Firi had told him had found Margrat. Strange... had he had glasses before? "What in the world are they doing?"
Roxas smiled some, thinking along the same lines as his lover. He didn't need to know a lot about the Pokemon... he knew if he and Axel just tried, put all their heart into loving and caring for them, they would help these Pokemon heal. Dragon-types, water-types, ghost-types. It didn't matter, they could do it. One thing every Pokemon needed more than anything is to know someone cared...
But they were certainly NOT keeping all of them!!
Aqua smiled a little sadly, watching the Kingler eat. She had seen something like this before... when she used to be ordered to give Pokemon their weekly rations each week. Grunt work really, only promoted after Ven came around. She was so young then, to young to really understand why the Pokemon snapped and fought at each other each time she threw in their food. Never understood why some of them just didn't move at all...
She wished she could of done more for them. But now she could at least be proud she was doing something now.
"Hoow...." The dog hummed softly but didn't seem to mind, laying his head back down. She was no heavy then one of his kittens and just about as cute. He wagged his tail some, hearing her eat.
Terra watched as well, some sadness in his own gaze. It was amazing to think ANYone could deliberately let their Pokemon starve. He blinked however when he saw Houndoom's tail wagging. Oh no, he was not-
Before his thought could complete itself he heard yells from the stadium and looked up.
"Jol!!" Cried the spiky fox as he heard his friend cry in pain. He landed on an icy crag easily, taking a glance to where Scizor was getting off the ice before jumping down and hurrying over to Froslass. He barked at her in worry but she only turned her head away from him, not listening to him.
Sora saw the attack as well and his own eyes widened. "Madame!!" He called, wincing as she hit the ground. She... She didn't want to fight.
Everyone else had seen it as well.
"Quick Riku! Choose a different Pokemon!" Roxas cried.
"No, no it is too late!
It does not matter of her state." Rant laughed with glee, cruelty in his eyes. "A Pokemon who refuses to fight,
Is one that's just not right!
I believe we have already won,
now that our opponent is down to one!"
"That's what you think!!" Sora cried, determination lacing his tone. He looked down at his fox, meeting his eyes. The fox paused before nodding, turning around and growling at both of them. "We'll take you both down if we have too!" He just sincerely hoped... he wouldn't have to.
Rant held his sides, laughing even harder. "Hahahaha! What stupidity is this?!
In your brain, there is something amiss!
How can you even hope to win?
With that scrawny fox - oh, why do you grin?"
And Sora was grinning. "Because I have something with my Pokemon you two don't! Friendship and love. I care for them... with all my heart. And I believe in them and what they can do." His finger curled around his crown charm and he smiled, wishing his mom was watching and doing her proud. "That's what a real trainer does. He creates a bond with them in his heart... and never lets it break. That's true strength."
Rant rolled his eyes, cupping his hand over his mouth mockingly. "Yaaawn, what a bore!
Bonds and hearts, what a snore!
Let's see it you're words are nothing but flaw.
Scizor, use metal claw!" Rant gave a call as well and suddenly the two Pokemon were off, one speedily flying, the other running with ease.
Sora's eyes narrowed, glancing at Riku for one split second. Just long enough... to let him know he would do all he could. But he sincerely hoped... Froslass would help too. "Jolt, double kick!"
Jolteon barked, running forward. Scizor was on him in seconds, a heavy claw swinging down straight for him... and then the bug blinked as the fox stopped running. Still running under the laws of inertia he continued to slide speedily. He tipped his body so he fell on his back and slid right past the claw and under the steel type!
"Sci-" Four paws, glowing white, suddenly slammed up into his middle and sent him sailing up in the air. "ZOOOR!"

Riku paused as he looked out at her, seeing her pull away from Jolteon. H-he couldn't believe how upset she was. Of course... he was also but... he had never seen her act like this. Slowly he glanced at Sora as he started to speak, looking down at the crown he was holding.
Unknowingly, Ventus reached up for his charm, watching his brother as he spoke.
"Friendship and love. I care for them... with all my heart. And I believe in them and what they can do. That's what a real trainer does. He creates a bond with them in his heart... and never lets it break. That's true strength."
The blonde swallowed, looking down at the poor Pachirisu still eating. He had to wonder... if not having faith in yourself... makes you not have any faith in your pokemon. Was that why he wasn't a good trainer...?
Meanwhile, Riku nodded before quickly leaving Sora's side, going to the edge where Froslass was. "Madame..." He spoke softly before leaning over, touching her head. It hurt from how cold it was... but it was a sting he got use to. "Please... if you don't fight... then... you could end up like..." He trailed off, eyes watering again as that image of the laser going through Metagross went through his head. Him falling in the water then... into the building.
"W-we have to be strong though... w-we have to show these assholes... that took our friend that... it wasn't right... T-they need to be stopped... and I can't do that unless... unless you help us."
Slowly Froslass looked up, her big purple eyes glossy from crying. "Laaaass..."
Meanwhile:
"Talk, talk, talk, that's all you are
So what if you've gotten this far!?
Bunny, use Dizzy Punch on that freak of a dog
And make his trainer shut up!"
The girl called to the pink rabbit, making her twirl on the ice, eying the Jolteon. "PUN!" She cried as she hopped across the battle stage, jumping over the falling bug and slamming her fist towards Jolteon.
