The Tale of Seven

[Reno]

Terra blinked as the girl was suddenly against him looking at the necklace he had curiously. He smiled some, listening to her some monologue about her own home. Canalave...? The port town. He knew it well because it had a... well a very famous library. That library held almost every book imaginable on Pokemon Myths and Legendaries.

His eyes widened a fraction as her head turned, giving him the full force of those eyes. They shimmered beautifully, reflecting the night sky as the blond curls framed her soft face perfectly.

"Yeah..." He murmured softly. "They are pretty. But... I'd trade every single star away for the one thing I find beautiful. You want to know what?" He got a soft hum in response. He smiled and leaned closer, "You." He whispered lips brushing along hers softly.

Ven could hardly blink as his eyes were so focused on Terra's. His heart seemed to flutter as he started to have a hard time breathing. Just a moment in time in which... he didn't think was true. And the best part was... the idea of thinking this about another man... never ran through his head.

When the question was asked though, he snapped out of it... but only a bit as his mouth closed, too breathless to admit an answer. "Hmmm?" He hummed instead, wondering what might be more beautiful than a full moonlit sky with dozens of stars.

He never though the answer would be... him....

His eyes widened as he felt Terra move in closer and before he could think, soft lips where on his own.
My....first.....kiss....
His eyes lidded and instead of pulling away, he pressed his lips back.

"Spiii?" The Spinda looked up and questioned breathlessly, seeing the two kiss.

[Reno]

Terra eyes lidded as well, staring straight into glossy blue but as he felt the other responding he shut his eyes. He reached up, one large hand running along the contours of the other's cheek, feeling the softness of the skin before his thumb brushing along a blonde curl.

He heard nothing around him. Not Spinda's curious question of Houndoom's disgusted growl. All his attention had been stolen by this female siren. This girl who already seemed so ideal he was sure she walked right out of one of the fairytales in the Canalave Library. Nothing so... perfect could exist on this world.

He held the kiss for a few more seconds before slowly pulling away, exhaling slowly. He looked down at her, unsure what to say or do... all he really wanted was to kiss her again. "...Venita," He whispered softly, her voice like honey when it rolled of his tongue.

The blonde's lips quivered as he felt the hand on his cheek. He was just so thankful that they had gotten a human hair wig... so that Terra didn't even know it was fake...

When the brunette pulled away though, those blue eyes looked up at the other, feeling his fake name breathed onto his lips. It was... close enough...
Terra...

It seemed like, kissing another guy didn't feel any different. Or maybe it did. He never kissed a girl before...
"I..." He started in a sweet voice. "I never even got your name yet..."

[Reno]

Terra blinked at the strange statement, but then he smiled softly. "Well where are my manners?" He whispered softly. "My name is Terra..." He reached up, flicking away a few strands that had fallen into her eyes. He smiled once more leaning down to give her a second, shorter kiss before he pulled away.

"You're shivering." He said softly. Even if he didn't want to break this moment, he couldn't deny the slight trembled he saw and felt running up the small blonde frame - the clothes were obviously inadequate for night wear. "Come on, I'll get you to your room."

He didn't take no for an argument as he carefully slid down his turtle-like friends shell before turning around, catching her and her Spinda when Venita did the same. After ordering his Pokemon to stay put (and reassuring Ven that they'd be just fine) he lead her out of the woods with ease not having any problems navagating the familiar terrain.

They reached the town limit not long after and, after getting the name of the hotel, the tall brunette and the small blond walked side by side down the near empty streets to the Inn. They saw nothing more than a cat or two and a car passed them once. For such a large town, it shocked Terra to see how quickly it quieted down.

"Terra?" She giggled as she patted the Torterra's shell gently before her cuteness melted when Terra leaned in again. Her eyes closed and unlike the last kiss, this one was wanted... and reluctantly ended too quite for her liking. She blushed as she looked down, hearing that he could feel her trembling.

This clothes were fucking thin but they were fucking hot during the day.

With a bashful smile, she nodded and got up carefully, pulling up her Spinda with her. She let Terra slide off the tortes first before she did the same, finding it fun and... romantic as he caught her. She blushed more before taking her Spinda from him as he caught it and smiled. "Thank you..."

She held 'Mookie Pookie Bear' close as they walked though the forest, Terra helping her over logs and such. Even if she had an easy time doing so, she still needed to pretend that it was something she didn't do often.
They walked side by side as they got to the town and she quickly led the way. There was a silence between them but they glanced at each other now and then, blush over their cheeks.

When they arrived at the Sunny Hotel, Venita sighed. "Well, this is it." She smiled as she looked up at it, but frowned a bit as she saw the light on where their room was. Aqua was still up... and hopefully... wouldn't see him out here.
She slowly looked up at Terra and smiled, twisting her waist cutely. "Thank you so much, Terra... I had... a wonderful time and I hope... I can see you tomorrow..." She spoke softly before walking closer to him.

She got on her tippy toes and leaned up, pressing her lips on his for the third time that night.

Terra paused in front of the hotel with the other, noticing her straying gaze and he looked within the lit lobby seeing all the decoration within done up rather green. Grass Pokemon - odd considering Sunny Day was a fire type move, though so many grass Pokemon could learn it it was moot point anyways.

He turned to face her as she did to him, smiling tentatively. His cheeks warmed as she spoke softly, saying how much fun she had - though she'd hardly been around for long. His eyes widened as she came forward and leaned up and kissed him - she didn't seem so brave - but smiled.

His heavy arms came around her waist and brought her flush against him as he returned the kiss, not really minding how flat-chested she seemed to be or how less shapely her hidden body was underneath the dress. She still seemed to perfect to him, like they had always meant to fit together.

He took a chance, brushing his tongue along her lips. She was surprised and gasped but he took it as an invitation, as he slipped his tongue inside and brushed along hers. He shivered at the pleasant taste and feel of it.

He ran his hand through her curly hair once more, before breaking away, seeing the dazed look on her face that made him smile. and in a split second decision, practically feeling the contest ticket burning in his pocket, he unwisely made a promise. "I'll be there."

He lent down giving her a fourth kiss, only a small brush of lips, before he let her go and, with a soft goodbye, watching her escape back to her inn. He stood there a long while, staring aimlessly at the lobby even after she was long gone.

Aqua looked up from her late night snack - nothing more than a few packaged rice balls she bought at the nearby store, when the door opened and in came Venita, looking pink and smiling like a goof. "The hell is wrong with you?" She got no answer as if she hadn't even been heard and watching him as he walked - no really it was more of a skip - over to the window and looked out again, making a happy little sighing noise. She raised an eyebrow at his peculiar behavior, even Haunter and Glaceon were sharing a confused glance, but let it go for tonight.

Terra sighed as well a smile spreading on his face. He had no idea Venita was watching him from above. He laughed finally, spinning around before he walked off down the sidewalk a swagger in his step. "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll see you tomorrow." He sang softly to himself.


Tomorrow came. The third battle was underway, and Terra was drumming his fingers along the bar of his side of the arena with unease. He just wanted to finish this battle quickly and leave. It was just his damn luck his battle was second on the list when he had a contest to go too. The water on the field sloshed up as his contestant took his fucking precious time deciding on his third and final Pokemon.

On the field on one of the circular pads that acted like a flotation device in the water, was his leafy fox. The eeveeolution had already defeated a Gyarados and a Cloyster was just patiently waiting for his opponents next move. He'd been waiting... three minutes.

Houndoom was antsy as well at Terra's side, growling and pacing around the box like a furious wolf. He knew where they were supposed to be and wanting nothing more than to see his Delcatty. "Hooow..."

Sora sighed up in the stands watching with earnest. In his hand he had a closed cup of something warm. Beside him Roxas and Axel had the same - it was coffee. For once in their lives they actually got up early but only by luck. Flareon, as it turned out, was an early riser and once she was awake she was hyper and jumping all over the bed, yipping and wanting to play. Jolteon was quick to join the fun and pretty soon, too avoid those sharp spikes that somehow Sora never seemed to mind, Axel and Roxas were jumping out of bed and getting ready for the day.
Somehow Terra still managed to beat them to the stadium - and he was in a shockingly great mood happier then they thought was possible for the tough brunette. They tried to figure out why - but the questions went ignored.

Abwsol and Ninetails were watching in front of their master's obediently and Jolteon had climbed into his master's lap to get a good view, watching the Leafeon - surprisingly another of his brothers - intensely. The fox was already doing good, having won the first battle in two attacks and then the next in three. All without hardly moving at all from where he stood.

Terra glanced back and finally sighed. "Houndoom..." The dark dog looked up and Terra smiled. "Go to the contest alright?"
"How?" The dog barked in confusion, looking towards the battle then back up to his master. What if he needed him? He couldn't just leave!
Terra reached out, petting him on his head and nodding. "Go see your kitty, and go tell mine I'll be there soon, okay?"
The dog hesitated for a second more, before nodding and turning jumping off from the stage and running out of the stadium.

"Well it seems Pete has taken so long, Houndoom decided to take a potty break!" The crowd laughed at this.
"Don't laugh at me!" The strangely dressed man said, stomping around on his side of the platform. He was big and fat, his stomping actually made the water ripple. His face was big and chubby and he had triangular ears that reminded him of... a cat for some reason.
Terra rolled his eyes, leaning over on his railing and snapped. "Then hurry the fuck and pick something! I do have things to do!"
The man growled. "Oh... I'll pick something alright." Finally Pete snapped off a Pokeball. "This is the most fabulous, most incredible, most stunning Pokemon in the world!" Terra was rolling his eyes in exasperation.
"Introduuuuuucing... MALEFICENT!"
There was a pop and suddenly a large Pokemon formed... but it wasn't one that Terra had been expecting. A roar echoed across the stage.

"It's a... a Charizard!" Sora gasped.
"It's... a shiny Charizard." Roxas clarified, his eyes wide. Charizard were normally an orange color but this one was pure black the flame on it's tail wasn't red but an odd green color. The inner side of its wings weren't blue but an odd purple-red, it's belly also matching that color.
The large Charizard landed on a platform, wings spread as it stared down its tiny foe and laughed. Leafeon seemed to growl back, his ears twitching determinedly.

"Look at that folks what a surprise! A fire type for a water field - an excellent and powerful match against grass type like Leafeon. And look at those colors - what a rare catch! Charizard are known well for their powerful flame attacks, nasty and ruthless attitudes and their physical strength. This one looks particularly mean, so Leafeon better watch out!"

Roxas bit his lip and shook his head. "Terra needs to pick a different Pokemon! That Charizard is going to barbecue Leafeon!!"
Sora glanced over then back towards the battle, shaking his head. "Terra won't let anything like that happen."
"Jooool..." Jolteon started to growl, looking much like he had just yesterday when Flareon had been fighting. Sora blinked in surprise but reached up, petting the other soothingly on the head.


Many streets away, girls were giggly in pretty dresses and Pokemon of all shapes, sizes and colors were making various sounds as they got ready for their contest.
"Excuse me," One blue-haired girl was asking to another, this one with long black hair. "Do you have any red nail polish I'm all out." she said as sweetly as possible as she raised a bottle, shaking it in emphasis and looking at it pointedly when it didn't make any sound of liquid sloshing.
"Why of course dear!" The woman said, snatching up a bottle and handing it over with a smile.
"Thank you very much! I'll bring it right back!" She said, mentally considering suicide by drowning as she giggled to the other, "By the way that's a real cute dress!"
"Oh why thank you dear!"
"Good luck!" She said before turning around and walking back over to her table, her smile failing to a frown of disgust. Ugh, she was so glad Ven was the one doing this.

"Alright I got it," Aqua said as she reached the table, but blinked when she got no response and looked over to her charge... and rolled her eyes. "You're STILL watching that?" She grumbled as she snatched up one of his hands and laid it flat on the table so she could paint them.

Ven's eyes were intent on a nearby TV screen (usually used for those backstage to watch the cute contest proceed), watching the Pokemon battle in the Platinum Stadium continue. He'd been intent on it since Terra had come on screen. Aqua looked up from her work and raised an eyebrow when a black Charizard came onto the field and she whistled. "Oooh that's a nice one."

Ven's eyes widened as he was pulled closer and blushed, looking into those beautiful blue eyes. They lidded though as Terra came closer and those lips pressed up against his. It was... intoxicating. He felt like he could never get enough of those soft lips. When he felt the wet muscle though, his eyes shot open and he gasped, only for it to push through his mouth and brush up against his.

His eyes closed tightly as he tried to gain some thought and try to move his tongue along... but that wasn't happening. Terra's tongue was out of his mouth by then.
He pulled away, some saliva trailing from their lips before it broke. "Terra..." He smiled as he heard the promise, nodding slightly before smiling into the fourth... and unfortunately the last kiss.

"I'll be waiting." She said softly before pulling away and bringing Spinda close to him to compensate for the lose of warmth. "See you tomorrow.... muffin." She winked before turning and quickly heading inside the hotel. The spinda climbed up and watched the brunette get further away before it waved. "Spiiiiinda!"

He rushed to the elevator and got inside, sighing heavily as the doors closed.
When he got to his room though, he totally ignored Aqua and his Haunter as Spinda was dropped on the ground and almost stomped as the blonde rushed to the window. He gave out a happy sigh as he watched the brunette walk off, wanting to just jump out and kiss him again...


In the morning, the rude awakening made a certain redhead a certain grumpy redhead. He hated mornings, always did... and thanks to the hyper dogs running around his hotel room, he was forced to stomp around until he picked up the phone and demanded room service.

Roxas and Sora were a bit scared of Axel... never seeing the morning monster that lived inside him until room service came with.... a cup of coffee. As Axel snatched it and slammed the door, he glanced back at the two boys before growling. "GET YOUR OWN!" The two cried in fear before fighting for the phone to call for their own. When they had finished, they looked back at Axel... who was now dressed, hair brushed and looking nice and relaxed as always.

"So, what did you guys order? Anything good?" Axel smiled as he placed his empty coffee cup on the night stand.

After said coffee and a bite to eat, the crew was heading down to the stadium. Axel was the last out and blinked as he looked to his side. Ninetails wasn't there. He looked back into the slightly lit room of the morning, seeing the fox still sleeping in bed. "Ninetails?"
The fox lifted her head slightly and the red eyes looked up... but she didn't move.

Axel frowned before looking back and smiled at the boys. "You go ahead and save me a seat!" He walked back into the room and closed the door before sitting down on the bed and running his hands though her fur. "What's wrong?"
"Taaaails..." She tipped before laying her head down.
"Are you feeling alright?"
"Ninetails! Tails!" She perked her head up again and looked at him.
"Well... are you going to come to the stadium with me?"
The Ninetails looked away and sighed. Her master sighed as well before smiling. "Are you still upset about what happened to Sharpedo? I'm sure nothing like that is going to happen again... Come on. I need you with me. You're my... companion."

The Ninetails closed her eyes before suddenly springing up and walked to the door, looking back at Axel. "Nine!"
"Alright! That's more like it!"
Axel smiled as he got up and opened the door, the two racing out and finding the brothers quickly.

After that they went to the stadium and met up with Terra, finding out that his match was the first of their group... so they would go watch him. They grabbed more coffee before they headed to the water stage... and so far, it was a spectacular fight. Axel still couldn't believe how strong Terra was as a trainer... and the pride of his pokemon really got them far.

His narrow eyes widened though when he saw the over sized... black Charizard. "Holy---"
He was cut off as the dragon roared... then laughed at the poor fox. "I never saw a shiny Pokemon before..." Th redhead adjusted his glasses as he watched the large beast. Charizards looked pretty mean in the first place but this one... she was wickedly cruel looking.


"Woooow...." Blue eyes gazed was he watched the tv. If he was in his right mind, he would of jumped from the seat, say 'fuck that purple whale' and head right for the stadium to capture that black Charizard... but he wasn't because he wasn't dazzled over the rare dragon but instead, the muscles that tightened on Terra's abdomen as he saw the new threat.

"How... gorgeous..." He droned off as the Spinda looked up at the TV, recognizing the brunette as he was focused on. "Spinda?"

[Reno]

Aqua smirked, licking her lips greedily. Unlike Ven, she wanted both Lapras and Charizard. Shiny Pokemon were rare and if it was possible to get both, then fuck they were getting both! That's what got them respect in TR.

"It is. We'll have to put that on our list." She leaned back over her work, letting Venita continue to watch and study the match believing he was taking mental notes not gawking at some pretty boy. She painted the nails with care until they were all shiny red.


Houndoom panted as ran down the sidewalk, people making way for him more readily then they would other, smaller, Pokemon like Meowths or Skittys. No one wanted to get an eternal burn by angering him.

He paused on one of the streets looking around for anything familiar before lowering his nose to the ground, sniffing around curiously. His tail started to wag when he got a day-old Skitty scent and followed after it, knowing he'd get back to the contest room if he did.


"Damn it..." Terra looked at the Charizard evenly, knowing this battle was not going to be won in two or three hits like his previous battles - unless he switched out. But that ruined his strategy. He knew, as the battles got less and less day by day trainers started to inspect one another, take notes of possible opponents strategy and their Pokemon and come prepared for the fight just by observation alone.

By never showing all his Pokemon no one knew what to expect until he got to the six-on-six battles, which all came down to strategy anyways.

Damn it and he was so hoping to see Venita perform today. He shook his head, trying to expel those thoughts, he needed to concentrate on the battle. His eyes narrowed and he breathed out slowly before nodding. "Alright Leafeon, you ready?"

The fox didn't dare take his eyes of his opponent but his leaf tail swished in the air. "Lee!!"
"Begin!" Called the judge.
"Alright Den, Maleficent take off!" The large dragon spread its glistening black and purple wings and with a growl flapped then and soared into the sky. The wing beats were strong making the water ripple and splash up against the islands and poor Leafeon had to hunch down onto the ground so as not to get blown right off.

"And Charizard's taken flight making Leafeon look like a branch on a tree in a windstorm!" The announce said.
"Use Flamethrower!!"
Terra scoffed. "Get to the next island!"
Leafeon's ears perked and he got to his feet, charging across the circular land and with a mighty jump landed on the next one just as the soaring Charizard let loose a stream of fire.
Pete stomped around angrily. "Give it another."
"Leafeon." Terra said calmly. The same scenario happened again, the tan and green fox jumping as the fire was let loose, narrowly escaping the flames. Again and again this happened.
Maleficent's eyes narrowed, getting tired with her master's orders and she blasted down two flames one a normal flamethrower on the island Leafeon was escaping... and then another, a spiraling twisting flame that encompassed the entire island - fire spin - that he was escaping too. There were gasps rising in the crowd and some of the more squeamish looked away afraid to watch the poor fox get burnt to a crisp.

Terra growled as the flames were let down on the island right in front of him, feeling the heat. "Swords dance!"
Mid-jump the fox drew in his feet and started to spin like a buzz saw, wind collected around him in a protective embrace as he was swallowed by the blaze.
"It looked like this Charizard is very tame, using a strong fire spin to trap the leafy fox! Did Leafeon have enough time to protect himself with that Sword's dance?"
The crowd bent forward in anticipation as the flames started to cool down - revealing the fox with burns across his body and singed leafs. Leafeon shook his head and its brown eyes glared up towards the sky and at the angry Charizard.
"Ah he took on some damage but he seems okay!"
The dragon opened its mouth again and Terra scoffed. "Get in the water!"
Leafeon ran for his life as the torrent of flames came down again and jumped giving a bark of pain as the flames caught his tail before he made a splash as he landed in the water.

Axel watched the black dragon fly up and frowned before looking back at Terra. "What? He's not switching Leafeon out?" He knew why too. He, much like Terra, didn't like using all his Pokemon freely... especially the one that helped him get to where he was now...

The fire bird had yet shown herself and he was hoping on keeping that way... until he had no other choice.

But this was bad. Leafeon could get extremely hurt! If it was any other Charizard... maybe he could do it but something like this... he would of never took his chances like Terra. With a sigh, he looked away, seeing the poor grass pokemon struggle. Terra knew his Pokemon the best... and he was a good trainer. If he knew his Pokemon's limits then... he would have to trust his calls.

Red eyes peered through the bars down at the arena, her tails wagging as she saw the Leafeon run around for it's life. "NINE!"


Ven could only friend as he saw the stress on Terra's brow. This Charizard was a problem...
He looked over tiredly bit his eyes widened as he saw his shiny nails. "Why am I getting the feeling that you're actually enjoying this!?"
He growled before he heard a sudden... and familiar... howl?
"HOUNDOOM!"

[Reno]

Aqua laughed cruelly. "Because I am!" She chirped happily. It was so much funner to dress someone else up than herself. They didn't get much farther when there was a howl and something black was rushing in again.

Everyone gave a yell of surprise and anger afraid they were about to have the whole contest ruined AGAIN but the dog slowed up, looking around curiously. The devil tail wag when he heard his name called by a familiar voice and he hurried over to the man-woman, giving a bark. That was when he heard his master's voice and looked around in confusion, not knowing it was the TV. "How?" did he already win the match?


Absol stood protectively close to Ninetails, nuzzling her as she grew panicked for the little fox. "Sol~"
Roxas was biting his thumbnail as he watched the fox escape certain death, shaking his head. "Terra's crazy!"

Jolteon's ears had lowered to cover his eyes, spikes up and alert with fright as he whimpered. Sora was pretending it didn't hurt. The brunette glanced over at Axel and Roxas before chuckling and turning back to the battle just in time to see Leafeon's great escape into the water. "Have faith in him!" He said, his voice full of confidence for the man he hardly knew. "He knows what he's doing."
"How do you know?!" Roxas said as a calm came over the battle since Leafeon was under the water.

"Because he's not panicking." Sora said simply, watching Maleficent the Charizard as it swooped down and to hover over the water and watched it fly around in circles as if trying to spot the little fox, in the depths of something she could never enter. "He's not worried at all. He knows Leafeon can win and is just waiting for his chance." And it was true Terra, if anything, just seemed annoyed.

That was when Leafeon appeared again, jumping on a platform not far from where the Pokemon was flying. He gave a bark, shaking his body, leaves glistening with the water.
"There it is! Get it with steel wing!" Pete growled.
Terra's eyes narrowed, watching the dragon's wings glow white as it wheeled around and swooped towards the fox. It turned sideways so one wing was half submerged in water, making the liquid break in half.
"Leafeon." Terra said without saying an order at all. The leaf fox's muscles tensed and then jumped just as the black dragon hit the island, cutting IT in half with it's attack.
The Charizard growled with fury and turned its head, letting lose more flames towards the fox that was just touching down to the next island.
"Use Energy ball!" Terra called. The fox whirled around and opened it's mouth, a swirling ball of black and green energy forming in its mouth before it shut its jaw, laughing the ball. The two attacks hit, creating an explosion that sent Leafeon rolling on his back several and the black dragon flying back.

The dragon spread her wings though and with a few powerful flaps quickly corrected herself, shaking her head. Her eyes opened, and the rage in them was easy to see as they zeroed in on the fox who was also getting to his feet. She suddenly swooped down growling violently and revealing sharp teeth. It almost appeared that she was going to EAT Leafeon.
"M-Maleficent what are you doing?!"
"Heh," Terra smirked as he watched the dragon berserk. "Leaf Blade, towards the wings!"
"Leaf!" The fox barked as all the leaves on its body started to glow green and grow sharp including the green swirly hair piece on the top of its head. He started to hunch down and, as the dragon got close jumped and spun its body again hit the left wing hard, cutting into them.

Malificent gave a pained and angry cry, her flight getting disrupted from the attack and flapped hard but to no use as she crashed into the island she had been flying at. Leafeon landed panting softly as the glow fading as he turned around to face the fallen foe.
"Oh and that look like it hurt folks! It was a good strategy by Terra though as the wings of the Charizard are the weakest point on this powerful creatures body! Oh - but it;s getting up this fight isn't over yet!!"

[Rikugurl]

Venita smiled as he saw the hound and jumped off his chair. "Hey boy." He patted the dog on the head, minding those horns as he looked around for his master. "Terra's just on the Tv..." He said before looking back at the screen and sighed. "That means... he's not going to make it huh?"

With a sigh and a pout, he looked back down at the dog. "That's why he sent you right?"

Before Houndoom could reply, there was some clapping coming into the room. "Alright, alright, alright, girls!" A rosy haired man said as he got into the room and all the girls got off their chairs and swarmed to him.
"Marly! How do you think I look!"
"Not as cute as me!"
"What!? I'm cuter!"

"Now girls!" The man grinned as he looked down at all of them. "The contest will be starting in five so you all need to get ready!"
Next to his legs, his Delcatty, Buchies, wagged her tail. "Catty!" She meowed happily.


Axel glanced at Sora but nodded. It was true in the world of Trainers and Rangers, things that seemed impossible could be done if those had faith... and good training. He could only nod, watching the battle below.

As he watched back a forth, he couldn't help but notice Ninetails whimper. She was really moved by all this battling. Neither he or she had seen so many battles being played out after all the years journeying together.
He was wondering if it was... starting to bug her. All these pokemon in pain... he knew all she wanted to do was rescue them like she had Sharpedo...

He was side tracked of his thoughts as the announcer started talking and leaned forward, seeing the black Charizard on the ground. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?

[Reno]

"Watch the nails!" Aqua snapped as the other started to pet the dog.

Houndoom whimpered some at the questions bowing his head, but before he could bark much in explanation he heard some noise making him look over curiously. His eyes narrowed and he growled some as the rosy man came out, sounding all smug still. He didn't like him at all.

However as the girls spread out a scent and sight came to him at once making him relax instantly, tongue lolling and hearts in his eyes again. "How!!" He rushed over without a second thought, shoving the girls aside and stopping in front of the pretty kitty, licking one of her ears happily.


The dragon growled as she got to her feet, wings spreading as she stood on the island. She stomped her feet making the fox topple over. Her tail swung out, flying for him. Leafeon barked in panic as he got to his feet and jumped over the burning tail.
Pete growled. "How is that stupid little thing still standing?! fire Spin it my sweet!"
The dragon opened it's mouth. The brunette trainer scoffed, knowing this was going to be a problem, close combat was too dangerous... unless...
"Get behind it! And on top of it!" Terra ordered.
Leafeon ran around the spiraling flames missing him by inches. He ran until he was facing the black dragon's back and started chased up the dragon's back until he was on top of it's head. It opened its mouth before biting down on one of the dragon's antenna-like ears.
Maleficent cried out, shaking her head fiercely. The fox's body started to swing until he curled his leafy tail around the other ear, holding on tight.
"Ahhh get it off of you!" Pete cried. The Charizard roared in charge blasting a stream of fire up into the air before lowering its head towards the ground, shaking harder but the fox didn't let up.

"That Charizard's doing it's best to dislodge Leafeon but the grass Pokemon is holding on tight!"
Pete growled slowly, knowing it was useless. "Well then lets see how well you're dumb fox likes heights! Maleficent fly up as high as you can!" the dragon growled, spreading its wings and with some hard flaps took off, flying straight up. It's flight was a little lopsided from its hurting wing but it didn't seem to bother her.
Terra was grinning suddenly as if he knew some big ironic secret and he started to laugh. "Go ahead! Go as high as you like!" The other trainer looked at him, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. The brunette just grinned and looked up before yelling. "Hold on tight Leafeon!"

"Look at them go!" The announcer cried. "But can Leafeon stand the atmospheric pressure?" Leafeon was growling his eyes shut as they flew higher and higher, the wind pressure making it hard top hold on tightly. Still, he gave it all he had.
The crowd was looking up and some of them started to stand in their seats as if that would give them a better look at the black Charizard that was flying higher and higher. Sora and Roxas had as well and Sora suddenly smiled, understanding immediately. "Terra's won."
Roxas glanced at him confused. "What are you talking about?" His brunette sibling grinned and pointed towards the sky. Roxas looked towards the way and he gasped in shocked realization. "Oh..."

Terra was still getting a kick out of the whole scene, chuckling enough that his shoulders wouldn't stop shaking.
"Hey..." Pete suddenly asked, purely confused. "What are you laughing about?"
The brunette grinned widely, the look almost evil. "You really don't get it do you?" After the trainer had shook his head he couldn't stop another sharp burst of laughter. "What's in the sky?"
"Uh... clouds?" the other said, still confused.
Terra smirked and slowly shook his head, "Let me clue you in." He tilted his head up, and shouted. "LEAFEON JUMP OFF... AND USE SOLAR BEAM!"
"WHA?!" Pete cried in horror while some of the crowd gasped in surprise.
"I knew it." Sora murmured softly.

Leafeon's brown eyes snapped open and suddenly he uncurled his tail and used his feet to jump off of the dragon, sparkles glowing on his leaves.
"MALIFICENT HURRY HIT IT!"
"Too slow." Terra said smugly.
The dragon didn't even have time to spin around before Leafeon's mouth opened and he let lose a large powerful white beam that lit up the sky like a firework and slammed hard into the Charizard's left side and wing.
"That was fast!" Roxas cried. Usually most grass types had to charge the beam for about half a minute before being able to use it.

The dragon cried in pain and started to dive down, her body spinning like a top as she fell for the pool below. Leafeon also started to fall thanks to gravity only a few feet above the large creature.
"Charizard taking a dive and it doesn't look like she's pulling out of it folks!"
"NOO!" Pete cried, grabbing his hair and tugging at it. "Malificent my baby come on fly fly!!!"
Terra watched seeing the dragon trying to spread its wings but its left was too hurt to fight the wind pressure around her. "It's over."
Pete growled, hearing his opponent's words, but as his Pokemon continued to dive closer and closer to her death he knew the brunette was right. He snapped up her Pokeball and only a few feet before she hit the water he recalled her in a bright red light. Seconds later, Leafeon impacted with the water bringing up a great spray. There was a long pause as everyone waited, and soon the fox surfaced, swimming to the closest platform and climbing onto it, panting hard. He laid down, completely exhausted but very proud of himself.

"And that's it, even over the greatest of odds Terra has won again with only one Pokemon!!" The announcer said. The crowd erpted into cheers.
The brunette smirked happily, jumping over his railing onto one of the islands and walked over to Leafeon leaning over and picking him up with care. On the other side Pete was stomping around and yelling intelligibly, definitely confused on how he could of lost to a grass Pokemon.

"Joool!" Jolteon barked happily, glad his brother had won.
Roxas shook his head in shock at the whole event. "How... did he use solar beam so quick?"
Sora glanced at him and grinned, finding it funny his brother didn't get it. Then again his brother seem to like dealing with normal type Pokemon anyways, so why would he? "Don't you know? Leafeon eats sunlight - like a plant - which is exactly what you need to make a solar beam. So as long as it's full at the beginning of the battle it's always charged. And I'm sure the closer it is to the sun the stronger it will be."
The blonde frowned at that, then shuddered. That was... cool and bad at the same time. Hopefully he didn't have to face Terra anytime soon. "...Oh."

[Rikugurl]

Ven spat out his tongue as he heard Aqua before looking down at Houndoom... or at least where Houndoom was. The girls around this Marly guy started to back away quickly, some yelping as the familiar hell hound was around.

Before Ven could go over to calm the girls, he heard tons of cheering from the TV. He blinked and looked back, his eyes widened as they showed a reply of what happened. "He... beat her.... with one pokemon that was WEAK against her?"
His own eyes turned into hearts and he placed his hands over his real one, almost swooning.

With a shake from his head though, he saw the brunette recalling Leafeon back into her poke ball and quickly leaving the arena. Was he really coming here!? Well... of course not... he had to go to the poke center... right? He looked back, his eyes a bit sad but they grew some light in them as he saw the hound lick the Delcatty's ear.
"Catty! Del" The cat meowed happily as it nuzzled the hound's muzzle... but yelped as she was suddenly picked up.

"YOU! You get out of here RIGHT NOW! YOU HORRIBLE MUTT!" Marly growled as he pointed his finger down at the dog. "You RUINED the show yesterday and you won't be doing it today! I--"
"Hey!" An angry girl called as she walked over to the scene and patted the dog's head. "Leave him alone. He's only in love." She crossed her arms and gave the man a large pout.
The girls around the short Venita blinked and giggled.
"Yea! Let him stay!"
"They look so cute together!"
"Did you see the look on their face?"
"I bet they can do cute things together!"


Axel smiled and clapped as he stood, watching the muscular trainer pick up the exhausted but proud grass pokemon. He glanced down at Ninetails who's tails were swooshing and smiled. "See, everything's alright." The fox looked up at her master and smiled. "Nine!"

Axel couldn't help but smiled back at her before looking at the two brothers. "He really deserves a good dinner tonight! Both him and Leafeon!" He looked back down at the arena, seeing Terra quickly head out of the post. That was right... he needed to get to that contest. He shook his head and smiled... hoping the same thing for himself. Being such a great trainer as Terra... Axel wouldn't know what his odds would be if they had to battle.

[Reno]

Aqua was looking towards the screen as well, her eyes narrowing as a smirk grew on her face. They would need to snatch some of Terra's Pokemon. It was that kind of raw power that Team rocket often searched for or tried to breed into their Pokemon. even some of their top scientists were working on altering the strengths of a Pokemon - making a water type immune to electricity or a grass type unaffected by fire. But nothing was more satisfying and effective than stealing Pokemon that were already pre-trained and strong.

She blinked gave her partner a strange look as he held his heart, wondering if the blonde suddenly had a heart disease. She rolled her eyes when she finally recognized the love-struck look on his face. Was he SERIOUSLY...? Her attention was drawn however when they heard yelling and she zeroed in on the Houndoom again. "Mmm..." She murmured softly, Ven taking no noticed as 'she' hurried off to go defend the dog. She eyed the horns on the dogs head, silently adding how much they would be worth. They'd have to kill Houndoom of course, neither of them needed to get eternal burns, but the money would be worth it.

An evil plan started to form in her head. If Ven continued to get close to Terra...

Her silent thoughts went unheard and the disturbing look on her face unnoticed as the whole room was preoccupied either with their own preparations or sticking up for the black dog in love.

Houndoom was happy as the cat greeted him lovingly, about to give her another lick but then she was just... gone. "How?!" He blinked and looked up only to have a finger point right at him and the angry rose man started to yell. the dog flinched before starting to growl instinctively as fire burned in his lungs again. He wanted to burn the man - but his master told him he could never ever burn another human, that they'd never recover from it and supposedly no one 'deserved' that.

Hmph, maybe he'd disagree if he could see how mean this man was! He wanted to melt his stupid pretty boy face right off! Nevertheless, when a comforting hand was on his head and giving him soft pets he calmed instantly, recognizing the scent of the human man-woman his trainer was obsessed over. His tail wagged some as he heard all the positive talk around him. He gave a soft bark, licking the tips of Venita's fingers in gratitude.


Terra sighed as he ran his fingers along the fox's flank, feeling how tense he was. The burns weren't looking too promising. "You did great Leafeon."
"Leee..." The fox said softly, raising his head and nuzzling the brunette under his chin.
Terra smiled some, grabbing the fox's Pokeball and after recalling her hurriedly jumped off the field, heading out of the stadium. He knew his first priority would be to get Leafeon to the center but... maybe he could still make it to the contest too.

Sora laughed but nodded in agreement to Axel's idea. Terra totally deserved it and Leafeon too. They had battled really well today. Sora, unlike Axel or Roxas, felt excited for the things to come. Terra would make it to the top eight no problem and Sora was more determined than ever to get there too. He wanted to have a match with the other brunette.

He nudged Roxas, a playful grin on his face. "You're totally paying this time."
"What?!" The blonde whined. "But he eats a lot! I'll go bankrupt."
"That's a chance I'm willing to take."
