The years... had been full of so much... that it went by so fast. The only thing that he didn't like so much... was in that phase where Runa started to hate him as her stomach grew more. Latium had said it was normal and not to worry. He really didn't like hiding from his wife though...
Jet had made it is tradition to visit his father's grave every night, for he wasn't buried on the side of the mountain like everyone else... but in the royal court where all of royalty was buried. He'd tell his father of what happened that day... and how he and Runa were. And of course, the babies.
He had also changed something big. The army. The Balance Army was renamed the Peace Army, and goals were changed. Instead of bringing balance, they would bring peace... because the king knew that Balance could not be found without peace. Instead of battles, peace treaties were pushed... and the fear of a loved one not coming back home dwindled. Gin was dubbed Sir Gin seeing that he was the leader of the new army.
As for the day the Trinity was born... well... Jet knew he was in a lot of trouble. He no longer had to bring up one child... or two... but THREE boys. No matter... because he was the happiest father of all Norn. Runa had created a miracle of triplets... and not only that... the third child was one of the most rarest of wings. Latium had explained what must of happened. Runa had started out with twins. Since Soran and Ventus weren't identical... and Ventus and Roxas were... Soran and Ventus were the original twins. However, Ventus's egg was divided into two, creating another child and therefore, making them identical.
This all confused Jet... but Latium knew what he was talking about... and that was all that mattered.
Their first night was a long one... and Jet stayed with Runa as she fed them and helped her put them to bed in their separate cradles. They sat together on a large chair, just watching them sleep. Slowly Jet pulled out the compass that Runa had given him and smiled as he nuzzled her. He pulled it up, watching the arrow and looked up, seeing it point to Roxas.
He knew then and there... that Roxas would become the new heir to the throne.
When the Trinity got a bit older, Jet had left very early and visited the most well known gold wing of all Norn. He gave the man what he wanted... and in 30 minutes, the charms and platinum thread were handed over. Jet hurried back to the castle and let Runa know he was back for her not to worry. He slowly walked to the nursery... and leaned over each crib.
Soran was first... and around his neck was placed his charm. The Crown of Peace. This was the symbol that the king of the universe and his wife wore. He knew Soran would have a pure heart...and he would bring peace to uncharted worlds. Ventus was next, and his charm was wrapped around his neck. The Broken Cross-heart of Passion. A symbol that everyone in the Peace Army knew well. He knew Ventus would become a good friend of Gin's, already seeing that strength and determination in his eyes. Roxas was last, the charm gently wrapped around. The symbol... was the most important one of Norn. The Sideways Cross of Balance. The Atalanta. Roxas was living proof of the Balance... and he was the one to keep it alive when Jet passed away.
Not far later, the king and queen of the universe, King Mickey and Queen Minnie visited to see the Trinity. Their visit was nice... and laughter filled the castle.
As time went, Firi had become a well known singer... her voice unique from the other purple wings. It had a cheeriness that the purple wings lacked... and since Norn had reached their Golden Age... cheerfulness was what people wanted to hear. Jet thought this would be the perfect time... for Gin to do something. It didn't take long before Gin's sweetheart... turned into Gin's wife. Latium and Zaria couldn't of been happier. Jet and Runa didn't think Firi could get any happier than she already was... but they were proven wrong... and well... Gin had done some goofy things.
Years passed and small things started to change. The best change... was when the Balance became perfect once again. What shocked most people... was that the king and queen didn't wear anything or royalty... but just normal, everyday clothes. There was a new Open Door policy that if anyone needed anything, they could just walk into the palace and ask the king or queen things. Jet and Runa wanted to become close to their people. Why wouldn't they? Jet even folded up his wings to let Runa's shine brightly... and because with three children now... he didn't want to sway the Balance any.
The economy boomed more than it had before, people able to travel more and buy more goods, bringing new things to Norn. Even with new things, the law continued that nothing new was to be taken outside the kingdom walls. The Wood, rivers and swamps were to continue to be clean and fresh.
"OUCHIE!" The blonde cried as he toppled over onto his brunette brother. Blue eyes narrowed as a laugh came out and he was about to spring after his brother when a call froze all three. "SORAN! VENTUS! ROXAS!" They all looked towards the door and then at each other happily. "HURRY UP! WE'RE GOING TO THE WOOD TODAY!"
"YES!" The blonde cried out happily. He rushed to a large wardrobe and opened it, pulling out a shirt, some pants and a cloak. He pulled it all on, his fire wings fluttering from the holes in the cloak. He rushed out of the room and down the hall, a huge smile on his face. This would be the first time they got to go to the Wood.
He blinked though as someone came around the corner and he skidded, almost flying into her. "Ah! What out there prince~" A giggle came from the woman as she looked down at him. Ventus looked up, his eyes shining but bowed his head. "I'm sorry Lady Firi! I'm just real---" He blinked as he tilted his head. "You got really fat!" Firi's eyes widened in shock... but she burst out laughing. "My papa has to teach you some manners!"
She giggled and shook her head. "You don't go around telling people they're fat... ESPECIALLY not women!" She giggled again but smiled. "I'm not fat.... I'm pregnant." She corrected. "Besides... I'm not as 'fat' as your mother was." She burst into giggles. Ventus tilted his head to the other side. "What does.... preg-e-nant mean?" "Means I'm going to have a baby." "Babies come from your tummy?" Firi giggled and shook her head. Her papa, Runa or Jet was going to have quite a time teaching these three. "Sure! When you eat way too much... all your food forms into a baby... and then... you POOP them out!" "YUCKY!" The blonde stuck out his tongue, his cheeks looking a bit green. "HAHA! Don't worry... only women have this special power! See... men just get fat." She giggled and patted Ventus's hair. Well, I need to go see Gin... you behave now." Ventus nodded and smiled, and continued to run down the hallway.
A woman leaned over a round bowl, some cloths rubbing on the metal plates. Muddy water washed over them, but the surprisingly were getting clean. Her blue eyes blinked as she looked over at the door as it opened. A soft smile was planted on her lips as she saw her son walked in. "So... what did you learn to day?" She asked as she placed the washrag down and dried her hands in her skirt.
She walked over and hugged her boy close, smiling. Hatori had gone... looking for his long lost brother for the month. This left Terra and his mother to relax at home... but more so Ida. The school of Atteris wasn't like it use to be. You could hardly learn anything there anymore. The new generation had become tougher... and the new teachers had rather fight their students than teach them.
Her son was smart... and learned of a secret passage into the library that had been boarded up centuries ago. With the books there... and home lessons from Ida... Terra was becoming smart in the arts and well round knowledge. However... this knowledge didn't make Hatori any too happy. His son should be out there killing and fighting. The Tellus name was slowly fading because Terra hadn't gotten into any huge fights... and he was already nine. The thing that almost got Terra killed was that the boy had corrected his father... "Damnit Ida... I need to get my music maker back!" "Dad... it's called a flute." "What did you say!?"
Unfortunately... that wasn't the right way to show off to ones parents... unless you were Ida. It was becoming more and more harder for her to act mean around her son... and she knew it wouldn't get easier when Hatori returned after the month.
"Did you hide your scent well?" She was worried that one day someone would be waiting for him inside the library to challenge him.... seeing that Tellus was still the top name... even if it was weakening.
As for Dragoon... all the regions were hit by the dark storm. A storm unlike any other. The region named after the world... was hit the worse... seeing that the poor region... grew even poorer.
That night, creatures that no one had ever seen before came right out of the ground... and started attacking people. Anything was used as a weapon as the creatures came at them. Many people went down, suddenly disappearing into the darkness as more creatures came to be.
This attack only lasted about a hour until it went to the next region... but Dragoon had lost many people. Such people included the young, blue haired girl's parents... and her best friend. Sai had not been hit by a creature... but sucked into the darkness and disappeared, his cried unheard.
A day passed and people left started to rebuild what they had left. Food and livestock was lost. Farmers were gone along with others who were dearly needed. Aqua... finally came from the temple... and had to take in everything... alone. For once in her life, she knew what completely being alone felt like. She returned to her empty home... and climbed into bed, hoping she would wake for this only to be a nightmare.
The next day had come... and the nightmare was still much alive. No scraps on the table to eat, no chatter of her family... no nothing. That all changed... when she opened the back door though. On the step laid a plate... full of food. She looked around, only to grab it and rush inside. For the first time in her life, she was full.
The next day when she walked out of the back door, a new dress was laid out for her. She took that too.
Everyday, a gift or food would be on her back stairs. She learned to use the food wisely and keep the gifts safe. She had no idea who was doing this... and why... but she couldn't help but feel grateful. She even stayed up one night on her back steps to see if the person would come so she could see who it was... but no one came. She fell asleep without even knowing it... and when she awoke, a plate of hot food sat next to her.
The years passed like this, never missing a day.
The moon shown over the ocean. It was quiet except for a dragon in the far distance. The water pressed on the shore soundlessly as the town was under silence. The sound of crickets was the only thing heard, giving the night a song. Long hair moved in the wind, whipping slightly over a bare torso. Yellow eyes looked out over the ocean as the water came to his ankles. He sat on a large rock and leaned back, looking up at the moon.
So many years had passed... and he had yet to take over any of this world. Why? Perhaps... with the lack of being in an atmosphere of having to kill, kill, kill, fight, fight, fight... it didn't seem... necessary anymore. He had more than enough food here... and it was cool and refreshing with clean water.
He... honestly didn't want to go back home...

Roxas stared as Ventus fell all over their other brother, bursting into laughter. Poor Soran gave a frantic cry as he was pinned, waving his arms. "Heaaaavy." Was the little boy's cry -
However before anything else could be done a cry resonated in their room. Ventus was the first to get up and tear out of the room - toiletrees and the rest ignored.
The identical one shook his head grinning. At least he wasn't like Soran who had once been so excited he had rushed out naked down the hall. Sometimes he wondered what his brothers would do without him.
"YAY THE WOODS!" Sora cheered, jumping up and ready to rush out as well.
"Soran! Get dressed this time!"
The brunette pouted back at Roxas before rushing to his dressor, the blonde doing the same. Both of them changed quickly, having to be careful on manuvering their wings through the broken slits in the clothing.
The minute they were on they sped from the room, their brother already having one hell of great headstart. They also passed their parents old friend on their way.
"Hey!!" Roxas called in greeting before he sped past her in his haste.
"Hi Firi!!!" Soran cried, having the consideration to stop and he quickly hugged her leg. "Ginny is trained as alllllways!" He stuck his tongue out at the disgusting word. "But But I can't stay we're going to the WOODS!" He gave her a prize-winning smile before letting go and rushing down the hall. "Bye-Bye!!!"
Soran was a very touchy person and very loud. Roxas was very quiet and thoughtful. Ventus was just well... rough around the edges but no less sweet.
Roxas easily found his way to the throne room, panting hard as his wings fluttered, helping him slid to a stop neatly beside Ventus. He blinked, glancing around. where had-? "I'm here I'm here!!" the eldest yelped as he fluttered his wings - but it was not a neat stop as the other had had. He tripped over his shoes and into his brothers, sending them all troppling onto the ground. "AH! Ven! Rox! I'm sorry!!"
Terra shut the door behind him, his eyes gleaming happily as his mother came into view. He grinned not answering her quite yet. Rather he hurried over, hugging her as she did for him, loving the warmth it brought. He had grown a lot - he knew that this behavoir was odd and different. no other Atterian child got the treatment he did from his mother - and that made feel speacial.
Not even his dad could know - but his dad was a hard-ass he nearly killed him for knowing the name of an instrument. That list of Don'ts had certainly grown. Like don't correct dad until he could defend himself successfully.
He grinned. "Yes mother I didn't forget." He said proudly. His hair and clothes were no longer damp though - the hot desert sun having dried him easily.
He picked up his textbook, flipping it open to the back flap and held it up. "I learned about phobias." He said. "I think I have a few actually but this book also explained the best ways to get rid of them, so I'm going to try it." He grinned, but then frowned. "The last one is just a word I found. It confused me though. The definition didn't make any sense." He usually took home soemthing to show his mother -e specally if he didn't understand it. Sometimes she knew the answer when he did not.
Life had been... so very hard at first. For Aqua, she had been at a complete loss as of what to do - yet no one had the patience or care to take in the hungry and attention-grubby child. She no longer had a friend or her parents. At only five... she had to learn to grow up. It was not a fun experience - waking up alone to an empty house and having to figure out what to do from day to day that had nothing to do with games or imagination.
Only she wasn't completely alone. Someone was out there - looking after her. Food was showing up at her doorstep - something she gladly accepted. At such a young age she had no qualms about trusting the food. She had too sweet of a heart to think anyone would ever want to kill her. Why waste their time?
Gifts came as well - ones that touched her heart and kept her warm through ther furious winters. Sometimes even a toy would show up and she would nearly cry with happiness never hading had toys before.
After all these years - without a day gone by that she didn't get to accept something new, she learned her annoymous admirer did not want her to see him. She no longer stayed up late to watch for him or tried to make traps to capture this person in the act.
Aqua sighed, shutting the door to her house, not caring to lock it. nothing of real value was inside - and most dragoonians knew that. Theft was incredibly petty and useless. That was probably why no one had confiscated her house as of yet - despite her paying no property bills or making use of the land around her for food.
She looked down, seeing a clean plate from this morning. She had collected about ten before she decided her friend was going to run outta glassware quite quickly. Once she was done with the meal she always cleaned the plate and left it outside for him to take back. It was always gone the next day, hopefully reused.
She had no idea when she decided that this person helping her was male. She always seemed to get more love from males than females - her mom being the prime example of messed up 'love'. She hadn;t realized it at the time of course, being too young, but when she had been a starving child, her parents trying to provide for them all, her mother had stolen food from her. Many times right off her plate when her dad;s back was turned. She thought it was funny when she was a kid, giggling like everything was okay - now she knew it had NOT been okay.
Aqua sighed as she stepped down a familar path to the ocean. Damn she needed some fresh air.

Ven had rushed down the hallways and turned into the throne room where he knew his father would be waiting. He stopped, seeing Jet talking to some of his aids. "Here sir!" He stood straight and saluted, a happy gleam in his eyes. He didn't have to salute or call his father sir obviously... but if he was going to be the leader of the Peace Army one day... he need practice!
Jet looked back and laughed, seeing Roxas stand right next to him. "Ah, you beat your last record AND your fully clothed." The king joked and his aids laughed. He gave them a bow and they were off before he walked over, a staff in his hand. This was the only thing that showed that he was king... he didn't need much else since every Shee knew this.
He stopped however when Sora came FLYING in and smashed into his brothers. The blondes went flying and all tumbled over. Jet just chuckled and crossed his arms. "Ack! Soran!" Ventus cried as his one wing bent and he pushed his clumsy brother off. He got up and fixed his wing before looking back at Jet. "Do we really get to go to the Wood today!?" Ven had always wanted to see what it was like out there. He wanted to see all the bugs... that were ALIVE. Latium had showed them dead bugs as lessons... like butterflies and beetles... but seeing them really flying would be even better.
"Indeed. We're going to the Wood... and the swamp. I want you all to stay together with me and don't venture out. You'll have all the time you want when you get older but for today, I want you in eye sight view." All the boys nodded, large smiles on their faces. Jet turned and smiled, his long hair flowing behind. "Alright then, we're off!" He laughed as he marched out the front door.
Ventus laughed and mimicked his father, picking his legs up high as he marched after him.
Ida leaned over, looking at her son's notes. For the most part, she taught him how to read and write... which was starting to become less common lessons in school. She looked over his notes, seeing the phobias he wrote down. When her eyes reached the bottom, the thing she was interested in, her eyes darkened.
For the most part, when Terra was interested about something and didn't know what it meant, she usually had the answer... but this time... it was a little different. She nodded and wrapped her arm around his waist before leading him to her and Hatori's bedroom and sat down on the bed.
"I didn't think they had books that had this word in it..." She started as she looked at the word again and shook her head. "Almost all Atterians... don't know this word... or what it means." She smiled nervously and looked away. "That's why... we get the horrible name of 'Renki'. Those that can not love or be loved. Ancient Shee were the first to give us this name... and the rest of the universe started to use it. They had the right too... because it's... basically true."
She looked back at Terra and smiled. "Terra... when I was a little girl... I was an outcast. I had pale skin... and I was quiet... and I kept to myself. I wasn't loud or obnoxious or wanting to fight anyone who aligned my path. As you can see... I'm still like that. But... there's something that changed. If anyone knew... I would be a total outcast. I became a total outcast when you were born." She tilted her head. "You know why?" The boy shook his head.
"Because... I'm one... of the only Atterians... who know how to love." She pressed a finger on her son's chest and smiled. "And taught this to you too."
She looked down and smiled. "I love you." She said softly. "You're my child... my flesh and blood. You came from me and... just knowing your alive makes me happy." She looked back up at him and smiled nervously. "Just seeing you happy makes me happy. Watching you grow up... watching you learn... watching you change. This all gives me a feeling inside that I cannot explain." She wrapped her arms around her, as if she was cold.
"Unfortunately... I can't can't teach you exactly what love is. It's both happy and sad. It can make you laugh... or make you sob... or even gets you mad. That's why Atterians... they don't understand it. It's not straight forward to easy to see. It's complicated in ways we don't understand. You can't cheat it... you can't fight it... and most of all... you can't kill it."
She slowly looked back at her son and smiled. "I think... my love has harmed you though. This world is getting tougher... and there is absolutely no signs of love anywhere. Children are killing children younger and younger... and I haven't help you become any stronger." She sighed as she looked down again. "Love doesn't exist here because... no one wants it to. It's been programed into their heads that... our fear... is our love now. The more people fear you... the better they're off."
She leaned back on the bed and sighed uneasily. "I know... for a fact... that I won't be around much longer after your father comes back. I am no longer the unique thing he once though I was. Anymore... I'm nothing but weakness that will drag down the name." She looked at her son, her eyes dark but true. "The only way you can survive Terra is if you run away as a traitor... or... you shut your heart off completely... and... I don't want to do either...."
Black hair continued to whip around the man's scared face, the ocean breeze picking up. He quickly looked around as he heard a crack of a twig, seeing a blue haired girl coming down the path... but he didn't move any. He looked down at the rock he was holding, making it move in his palm.
When the girl broke free from the path, he tilted his head. "Hey." A scratchy voice came from the man as he looked back slightly, his yellow eyes bright in the darkness. "What's it mean when you can see a dragon in the stone?"

Soran apologized again, blushing in embaressment. Roxas only sighed good-naturedly stretching his own wings and helping his brother to his feet, feeling very much like the eldest. He didn't mind a bit of rough-housing. It was uh... good for boys to fight right? At least, from watching the Peace army, he gathered that - considering most red-wings were born male, and the ones born female usually went the artistic route.
Well of course except their mom who did neither.
Soran grinned excitedly as their father announced that it was time to go. He gave a whoop rushing after, his little legs carrying him quickly after - and in front of them. His blue wings flapped in his excitement as they trailed through town. He fell to his father;s side, reaching out and wrapping his little hand around the staff that cluunked each time it touched the ground. The boy giggled, his hand falling the motions of the staff, walking fast to keep up with his dad's long strides.
Roxas trailed behind them all, looking around town contemplatively, if not a little shyily. It was not the first time he had ever seen it of course, but each time through amazeed him. Passing around the fountain he saw a small group of teenagers lounging on one of the outside tables of the cafe, laughing about something. they spared the royals a glance, nodded in respect or even shouting a hello.
It was like that the whole way through. Full families stopped for bows and curtsies, cute hellos, and even gave the three boys some coos and giggles - especally one pink wing who passed by.
Roxas frowned a bit, a little troubled - seeing a family of three pass by after saying hello, both their hands clasped in one of their child's own, leading him along. His brows furrowed, a thought occuring to him. He hurried a little bit to step up to his father's other side.
"Dad why isn't mom here?" He didn't ask in any malicious way of course - he was too young to understand the words could be cruel or hurtful. He had just realized that many shee families went on outings with BOTH parents... why did that never happen with them? Sure they had dinner together - sometimes if his dad wasn't attending another meeting or their mother another crisis - but that was the basic extent of their togetherness. the day was usually full of lessons, an outing or two, playing around in their rooms...
Terra blinked at the conflicting look in his mother's eyes afraid that maybe his simple question had been to much for once. He was a little afraid he might get hit - even though his mother had NEVER raised a hand to him, he knew she was supposed to and had the capibility to.
However she only led him to his parents bedrooms and he took a seat obediantly, looking at her curiously as she started to explain.
When he was told of their nickname - Renki - his frown deepened because he was sure he recognized the word. Whether he passed a glance to the word in the library or heard it being said on his way down the halls at school, he wasn;t certain. The moment he heard it came from the shee heknew isntantly it was a horribly demeaning title. The Shee hated hardly anything - except them. His frown deepened, knowing and no udnerstanding why it bothered him so much to be titled by soemthing like that from thsoe winged insects. What did THEY know?
His ehard tilted up however, becoming quickly engrossed in his mother's story of her childhood. He frowned a little at the fact his mom had not been liked by others - of course most people weren't, but he knew outcasts had to have a speacial spark to get completely shunned by other shee. He shook his head when she asked her question and blinked in surprise at the poke to his chest.
He raised a hand, placing it over his heart, a little baffled. she had taught him how to love?
He looked up quietly, small smiles pulling now and again at her softer words towards him, but falling quickly as she explained that love could also be painful - and inescapable. That did sound scary. It was like... a battle that couldn't be won. He wasn't sure if he liked that.
The boy went very quiet as she finished, and then he looked at her, a strange look of disappointment in his eyes. "Mother I'm stronger than you think." He grinned suddenly - completely breaking apart the tough attitude he had been trying to show off. He nodded suddenly in determination. "And daddy won't do anything to hurt you mom, cause I'll protect you! I promise!"
He wasn't sure if he udnerstood L-O-V-E any better now, but he knew that even if he never figured it out it might not be so bad. Cause he had mom who loved him and that was enough. His mom was proving the shee wrong - and he thought that was the strongest action in the world.
Aqua was surprised to find someone else out on the beach - usually it was clear this time of night. She hesitated before shrugging, easily stepping closer. It wasn't like she DIDN'T have a right to be here. It was her home to.
But when she drew close, her brows furrowed at the black and white hair - did that mean he was from Zieg or Damia's region? She knew she would have recognized a man with so many scars... so he MUST be a newcomer.
Her eyes narrowed some, but at his words, her eyes widened a tad. She glanced down some, seeing the Dragoon stone in his hands, glowing a light blue. "Heh... means you have to get a new fucking haircut ugly. You're a guardian of Regole."

Jet smiled as he walked down the stairs and towards the gates of the kingdom. On his right was Soran who held his staff, and to his left was Ventus who looked around curiously.
Ven's eyes caught everything. All the hand made things hanging and the flowers being picked up. Baskets were held in everyone's arm as they poked around and bought goods. Children his age, older and younger were giggling and chasing each other, minding their step not to know anything over or bump into anything. Some of them were watching their hamsters rolling around in balls.
Blue eyes brightened as he took in everything. What he loved the most... were the messenger pigeons and doves. He just loved the sound they made when then flapped their wings... and he wished that his wings sounded like that too when he flapped them.
They carried onto the edge of the kingdom when the three stopped at Roxas's question. Jet blinked and looked back, slowly turning to his one son. "She's at a Travelers meeting..." He said softly but smiled, kneeling down and rubbing Roxas's hair. "You want to go out for a family day, is it?" His eyes lightened and he nodded. "Alright... let's go get mommy."
Ven crossed his arms and pouted. "But she's busy." "Uh uh," Jet corrected. "She's never too busy for her children. As king... I think I can persuade a reschedule~~~" He laughed and stood. "Alright... I'll race you back to the castle. Who ever wins... gets extra dessert tonight!" The boys faces lit up as they got ready. "One. Two. Three. Go!" Jet called and started running, his little boys chasing after him happily.
Ida blinked as she saw the seriousness on her son's face, but laughed as she saw it drastically change. Her blue eyes brightened and she nodded. "My hero huh?" She laughed and suddenly gave Terra a warm hug. Her eyes close as she enjoyed the warmth but pulled away and slowly got off the bed.
"So... what does the hero want for dinner?" She asked as she looked down at him. Fresh food wasn't as plentiful since Hatori had left... but she still had leftovers that was more than enough to feed them well.
Yellow eyes looked up at her, a wicked grin on his face. "Guardian huh? MAN... this dragon must be a dud if they picked me of all people to protect something." Even at his statement, he pushed the rock into his ripped up pant pocket and stood. He stretched, his hair flapping about.
He took one last glance at the girl before slowly moving across the wet sand and towards the woods.

Soran paused, his hand falling from the staff at the question. He never really thought about that before - they never did spend time, all of them, together like... ever! It never really bothered him though.
"Oh..." Roxas mumbled a bit sadly as his dad informed them of where mom was. He looked down, feeling very silly right then. Oh course she was busy. They were always so busy...
He looked up however as his hair was ruffled, and his eyes brightened with happiness as his dad suddenly announced that they should go get mom. He glanced however at Ven's words, a little confused. Didn't he want mom to come with?
Soran whooped happily, glad that they would be having a new experience! This was going to be the bestest adventure yet! And it only got better when the offer was made. He giggled ecstatically, and determination spread over his face. He was SO gonna win!
Roxas laughed at the announcement, not caring about losing. He was getting what he wanted.
The royal family made quite a scene through town square all racing back towards the castle. Some of them even laughed, having a feeling someone forgot something.
And they did. their beloved Queen.
Terra only grinned, accepted the hug happily and giving her his tightest one back. He wasn;t exceptionally strong - but in a fight he could hold his own. He played dirty, much like his mother had when she was young.
Those tricks, of coruse, would never work against his father.
He tilted his head as she asked, and smiled cheekily. "do we have any muffins?"
Aqua's eyes almost immediately narrowed at the harsh words, and as the other;s back was turned she growled, leaning down a picking up a small rock. She chucked it at his head. "Yo jackass! You should feel HONORED Regole say anything in your cocksucking heart worth being any use to her!"
She crossed her arms growling, her anger plain for all to see. NO one talked bad about Regole. NO one.
She... felt like the only real family she had left. The only comfort in her life - the blue dragoon stone was glowing warmly in her own pocket. She had found one a few years back - the youngest dragoonian ever.

They raced up the stairs and as Jet was still in the lead, he back down a bit. "Ack... my legs are killing me!" He played out as his boys rushed ahead. A deter maned gleam ran through Ven's eyes as he grew closer and closer... for only Sora to jump over him. "HEY!" he cried as Sora got to the top stairs first.
Jet laughed as he walked up, patting his boys on the head. "Looks like Soran will get extra dessert. But... maybe he'll share." He winked as he slowly started to head down a hallway. The boys all looked at each other before racing after their father.
Some men and women were looking at a red wing at the head of the table when the door suddenly flung opened. Everyone stopped and looked up, seeing Jet and the Trinity around him. A large smile ran over the kings face as he looked at them. "Hello everyone." He waved then looked at his wife. "Runa, my love... I think we are in need of your company.... for the whole day." He grinned and clapped his hands together. "Do you think there will be another day for this meeting to continue?"
Ida blinked at the question, laughing and nodded. "Terra... you know muffins aren't for dinner." She put her hands on her hips and grinned. "Maybe for dessert." When Terra got up from the bed, she suddenly tickled him out of the room. She laughed as she pushed him away playfully. "Go get washed up. I'll make your favorite ribs, ok?"
She smiled as she shook her head and walked to the pantry, grabbing some ribs that they had left that was preserved in salt. She grabbed some herbs and walked back to the kitchen, lighting up the fire with some rocks.
After awhile, everything was ready and the sauce was poured over the two sets of ribs. What the ribs were from... they didn't know... and didn't want to ask either. They were good... and kept them alive. That's all they needed to know.
She placed the plates on the table and took some pillows down. She made everything nice and sat down herself. "TERRA! DINNER!" She looked down at her plate and sighed softly. Why couldn't it be like this always...?
The man continued to walk off the path when something hit his head.... hard. His yellow eyes flickered as he stopped, hearing the angry cries behind him. He slowly turned around and started to walk back to her. His feet were heavy, and even if his feet were bare, the jagged rocks didn't even make him flinch.
He walked right up to Aqua, looking down at her. His eyes gleamed as he growled, his fangs apparent. He suddenly gripped her chin with his fingers and narrowed his eyes. 'Don't you think you're a little too young to have a mouth like that?" He growled, his face not looking any too amused. "Listen, just pretend you didn't see me because trust me... I ain't worth knowing." He pushed her away roughly and turn. "Also... be careful who you throw things at." He turned again, and started to head out.

Soran and Ven were pretty much the only two really racing, Roxas happy enough to keep a few paces ahead of dad while watching them. They were pretty competitive - which was a surprise. Identical twins were more known to be competitive - to try and bring out independence among one another - not fraternal.
Soran grinned as he saw his chance his wings giving a mighty few flaps before he jumped, sailing over Ven and landing in the lead - only having to make it a few more steps until he was declared winner. He grinned at his dad's suggestion, shrugging. Of course he would share.
Runa was just starting to go over the map of worlds that still needed to visited and explroed when the door popped open. she looked up, baffled, when her eyes fell sight on her family.
She blinked at the sudden annoucnement, feeling it was a tad... abrupt. "Why's that?"
It was Roxas who rushed forward first, clinging to the leg of his mom's chair. "We're going to the Woods!"
Going to the Woods...? but she thought - She looked at Jet, a little worried. "You can't?"
Roxas answered though, grinning. "It's Family Day!"
The queen paused, a wry smile falling across her lips as she leant down. "Oh, and when did this holiday come into effect?"
"Right now!"
"Oh I suppose, but only cause you're so cute." She raised herself, looking across the table. "If you'll excuse me and take my dearest apolgize, family calls." They quickly settled on a new date, the Shee leaving quickly - though they didn't seem upset. Especally when Soran joined into the fun, waving to each of the members of the meeting as they left the room saying 'Bye-bye now!'. No one could stay mad at kids THAT cute.
Terra grinned innocently, shrugging. Couldn't hurt a kid for trying right? He giggled at the tickling, rushing away. "Okay mom!" He caleld back, beelining for the bathroom.
While his mom got the food ready, Terra took a bath, something he tried to do regularily unlike most of his kind. He knew it was hardly any use - cleaning his body in dirty water - but he just hated how the sand and grit got into his hair and made it all seperated and stuck to his head. when it was freshly washed, the spikes in the back stood out much neater than ever.
Though he wasn't big on the idea of relationships quite yet he did think the most attractive quality about him was his hair - it was interestingly different because, when clean, it would stand on its own.
He had sadly, grown used to the feel of sand and dust clinging to his skin however, and he was pretty sure he;d inhaled enough to cause lung disease.
After his shower he shamelessly trailed down the hall - hey his mother had seen it all before - and trekked to his little room, fetching fresh clothes. That was when his mother called for dinner and in second he was in his seat, grinning excitedly. "Thank you!"
Manners... was something he taught his mom. He had learned it from a book on etiquette. He hadn't particularily liked the book, epecically when it talked about the proper way to eat food (come on it went in the mouth that's real simple) but he thought thank you and you're welcome were the must curious of expressions - showing appreciation for something someone else had done for you. He understood that though - and out of all the people he wanted to 'show appreciation for' his mom was the top on his almost empty list. She made his life... happy.
Aqua tensed as the man came back towards her, feelign a small speckle of fear overcome her stomach, but her stance stayed strong even as he grabbed her roughly and she caught a hint of something... strange with his teeth.
Her eyes narrowed. "Yeah well, No one can tell me what I can and can't do." She snapped back. But he wasn;t done.
She stumbled a little at the push and growled. Her eyebrow raised at the man's attitude, rolling her eyes. "The hell? For such a tough-looking ass you sure are a whiny mother fucker." She turned her head away. "I ain't worth knowing, boo-hoo" She mocked without mercy before turning her back to him. "Go rot in the woods for all I care." she said, walking away.
She was pretty sure it was the years of being so very alone that caused her to act like she did. Without any real human contact except for hellos and whatnot with the people in down, she had closed herself up and just let her heart wither and blacken. She didn't need friends or understanding or comfort. She didn't WANT them.
But god how she needed them.

Jet nodded at all the travelers who left and walked down the stairs to come up to his wife. Ventus followed him and crossed his arms. Out of the two, he seemed to be the only one who understood that mommy was busy... so why interrupt her? His red wings fluttered as he looked up and watched his parents.
Jet grinned and kissed Runa on the neck. "Thanks honey." He smiled and grinned again, looking down at his boys. "So can we go now!?" His blue eyes gleaming as he looked at Runa. Firi had been right when she asked Runa a question one day. "Sure you don't have FOUR children?" Of course, it was followed by a giggle.
The five of them were off when Runa was ready and they all headed to the Wood. Once they got out there, the boy... wouldn't shut up. They walked around, pointing out everything. Each of them slide down the tree root slide that Jet had always slid down when he was a boy. They saw the old practice tree that was growing old. The swamp was where they saw the colorful dragonflies and frogs.
Roxas even caught one and they all looked at it. Jet gave the same speech his father did when the three asked if they could keep it, and they all nodded. The frog was let loose and everyone said goodbye to it.
Runa brought the boys to the meadows and showed them all the flowers. She knew them best seeing that she lived somewhat close to the flower market. The rest of the day they climbed trees and looked around for pretty bugs. All in all, the day went happily.
That night, they had dinner and talked of their adventures. When that was done, they were washed in a large bathtub where all of them played in the bubbles and splashed around. Runa and Jet put them to bed, kissing each of their heads. The queen went off to finished some of her papers before bed as Jet read the three a bedtime story. Something about a butterfly chasing a boar.
Ida smiled as Terra sat down, hearing the word that was new to her vocabulary. She nodded and smiled more. "You're... welcome." She slowly grabbed the odd utensil that Terra had called a fork. Terra had actually made it himself. She started to use it the way he taught her and laughed. "This is still strange." She put the food in her mouth and smiled more. It was still very good.
She looked over, her blue eyes meeting her son's. They started to talk more about what he had learned, and Ida had warned him to keep that list of phobias hidden. If anyone were to get it, they would use it against him. They shared insight and laughed, finishing their meals... and sharing a muffin together. Terra was more than her son, he was also her best friend.
The man disappeared into the forest shadows, continuing to where he spent most of his time. He sat down on a rock near a campfire and looked at the rock again. The dragon was clearly inside... "Rot huh...?" He shook his head and sighed, throwing the stone in his old bag he had brought from Atteris. It clicked onto the wooden flute as he laid down. He looked up at the clearing to the sky, seeing the stars shine down on him. Guardian... yea.... right.
The next day, bare footsteps walked through well kept grass. The sky above was bright and clear... like always. A small boy with fierce wings walked across the field and towards a building. He pushed it open with two hands and peeked inside, seeing someone familiar. "Gin?"
On a less lovely world, a large bag was placed on the old bed that use to once belong to someone else. Books were shoved into the bag, along with clothes. Pale hands worked as fast as possible as she tried to remember everything.
It was early morning...and Hatori was scheduled to come home dinner time. He wasn't going to be happy though... because not only was he not going to get his dinner... but his family would be gone too. After she put Terra to bed, the pale woman couldn't sleep... She... she needed to give her son a better life. She decided... that they would leave this world when Terra awoke. Where they would go... she didn't know... but she couldn't stay here any longer... and she wouldn't have Terra go through it either.
She sighed as she put the last of her skirts into the bag, and checked around one last time. She needed to pack up Terra's things too...
On a more damp world, the blue haired girl opened the back door, expecting food, or a gift, or clothes.... but instead... it was only the empty plate that she had left out there. However, there was a note stuck under it. The writing was in mud and a mixture of something else. Possibly blood. Be careful who you throw things at.

Runa laughed, seeing the four's excitement was pratically equal. Gosh, sometimes she wondered what the kingdom WOULD do without her.
"Do I look like I'm dressed for a galvating off in the Woods?" she pointed out her clothes, which were more professional. "Let me get changed real quick."
After their mom had changed, the kids spilled back outside, their parents right after them. Soran once again took ahold of his dad's staff, while Ventus was at their mom's side with his chest puffed out and holding onto a stick to imitate their dad. Roxas was between both his parents, holding both their hands, a satisfied smile on his face.
Once they got to the woods however, the kids split apart some, seeing the sights excitedly, unable to stop asking what was what. At one point, Soran even found another stick and he and Ventus had a mock spar. Ven won that one.
Roxas had some fun nearby the swamp, spreading his wings to help keep him on his toes as he snuck after the frogs. Most of them were too quick - but he got lucky. He hopped after one wings flapped and swooped over the frog like a hawk, snatching it up. He did a little victory dance as the green creature squirmed in his hands.
Soran was excited about the flowers and kept asking his parents what each and every flower was called. When he tried to pull them however his mother said 'Beauty is something to be admired, not taken Soran.' With that they were left alone.
Other than that the three brothers had fun fclimbed up trees, trying to do their best not to use their wings (okay so they cheated and flapped a little bit) and Jet even told them the story of the 'Tree Spirit' when they passed the practice tree. Unfortuetly no shee were out singing today - so the boys climbed up the tree and sang one of the old lullabys they remembered that always helped put them to sleep.
All in all... it was the greatest day any of them could remember. The family had dinner togwether - soran predictably sharing his extra desert with his brothers, before it was time for a bath. After that, bedtime.
The sleepy boys said their good-nights to their mom before lsitening attentatively to their dad's story - so much so they fell asleep in the middle of it.
Terra adored the time he spent with his mother like this. It was like they led a secret life - beyond the world's imagination really! In here alone they were happy, equal and 'loved'.
It was an experience they may never get again.
After dinner and some light talking it was time for bed. Terra got into his pjs and with a soft hug, a tucking in to bed and a kiss on the forehead from his mother, the brunette boy was fast asleep. And Ida left the room dark, getting ready for her own sleep.
Neither noticed the furious gleaming yellow eyes outside the window, a snarl spread across cruel teeth. But the leopard outside stayed silent and began to plan.
Aqua huffed, a little surprised she had gained no response. She shook her head before turning on her heels, heading back for home. "Freak..." She mumbled under her breath, wondering just WHO the hell he was.
Orange sunlight spread across the sparring floor, a man with silver wings sitting in the middle. this was where the shee came to practice their skills with weapons. Spars of all sorts took place in this room - the damage from swinging blades and spears easy to see in the wooden floor.
Gin was sharpening one of the spearheads quietly - but the sound of a door cracking open made him look back curiously. He saw a blonde head poke in and his brows furrowed, recognizing the prince. It was a good thing he and Roxas had different wings or he really wouldn't stand a chance telling them apart. When the other spoke he smiled confidently. "Yes Ventus?" He asked casually.
Terra was softly sleeping his life away, drooling all over his pillow and dreaming of sitting on the branch of a large muffin tree, his mother on the other side singing his favorite lullaby.
However, while both the Tellus' were distracted, neither heard the front door sliding open - and definitely could not hear the silent feet as they crawled down the hall.
Ida had just finished shutting up her suitcase and turned around - only to see a horrible sight standing her doorway as she met blood-red eyes.
"Going somewhere?" the naked male hissed, his eyes furiously. His mate opened her mouth - about to scream and in moments Hatori had pounced and changed in the blink of an eye. Razor sharp fangs closed around her windpipe, cutting of her air and bringing her body to the ground.
"Now, now, let's not be too hasty." He hissed against her. "Wouldn't want to wake Terra now would we?" He tugged her suddenly, dragging her body across the floor, blood dripping from his fangs and onto the stone floor.
He dragged her outside and with a vicious yank threw her body outside, letting her sail into the sandy ground. He walked towards her, snarling furiously. "Did you think you could just RUN away, you disgrace!?!"
That morning Aqua woke up, stretching lazily in her lonely bed. She looked around, wishing someone was around - even that jerk from yesterday.
Her eyes hardened a little - why was she thinking of him? If someone even dared to mock her dragon than she was certain he wasn't worth knowing. She sat up, stretching and went about her daily morning routine.
The last thing she did after a quick, cold shower, a change of clothes, and a brushing of teeth and hair, was take a glance outside her doorstep. And was a little shocked to see nothing there.
Her stomach twisted nervously, hoping nothing had happened to her little admirer - not just because he gave her gifts of course, but because he's a kind, considerate person who didn't desereve the cruel fates most met.
She lifted up the forlorn plate, frowning some - when something slipped from underneath. She blinked, seeing a note she was certain had not been their before and picked it up, reading it quietly.
Her heart froze upon the words and her mind spun with the implications. "No..." The plate fell from her hands, shattering loudly on the ground. She spun on her heels the paper falling from her fingertips.
She raced back into her room, tugging open her closet and grabbed her soear, and in econds she was bursting out the door, left wide open for all to see. She didn't care. Her feet pounded across the ocean sand and she threw herself into the woods were she had seen the man from last night disappear.
She needed some answers - and she damn well was going to get them!

Ven swallowed as he looked around, then outside to make sure no one was watching. He quietly stepped into the room and looked around, seeing all the weapons. This was the first time that he had been in this room, and it was all quite amazing.
Slowly he walked up to the silverwing and smiled nervously. "Uh.... Uh..... well.... I was wondering if... if maybe... you could.... you know... teach me... some stuff?" His legs started to shake but he frowned, puffing up his chest and holding his breath to keep it like that. He had to look strong!
Ida started to hum the well know lullaby that Terra loved as she started to head out the room, but she stopped, looking up to only see... one of the worst sights in her life. Her eyes widened as she opened her mouth, but nothing came out as her blue eyes looked into the red. She... had never seen his eyes like that before. "Ha----!"
She hit the floor hard and before she could scream, a crack in her neck could be heard. Her lungs escaped of air was she screamed nothing. Her body jerked under the beast, but he jerked back, pulling her body out the room by her neck. Her body was in such shock that she couldn't resist. But... what was there she could do?
Another soundless cry came from the woman as she was thrown into the desert. Her body hit hard and she rolled a bit before stopping. Her mouth was filled with sand but it was quickly spit out. Blood dripped everywhere as she got enough strength to start changing as she crawled away from her mate.
Dark brown fur started to come from her pale body that was slowly forming into a wolf. Two small rows of spikes came from each side of her spine as semi spiraled horns came down on each side of her face. A tail came from the bottom of her spine, spanning out like one of a stegosaurus. She continued to crawl away, howling soundlessly, a blood trail following her. Terra..... run....
Eggs sizzled on the cap of a skull as a fire was under it. A stick poked at it, and skillfully flipping it over. A blanket and pillow were close by, not made up to look pretty or anything. By the bed, some things laid on the ground including the flute and rock and some other things that seemed to of fallen out.
Yellow eyes were fixed on the eggs, the smell of them making him lick his lips. A twig could be heard and he quickly whipped his head around. A figure moved but he easily caught a sight of blue. A blue he knew fairly well. "Oh, it's you." A raspy voice didn't sound all to shocked as he sat back down on the rock by the food cooking.

Gin blinked as the nervous blonde came up to him, then chuckled at his attempt to look strong. He smiled faintly, setting down the spearhead.
"Why the sudden interest?" He asked with a grin, a little curious.
Hatori's tail slunk behind him as he walked outside, the morning sun glistening off his sleek black and brown fur. He growled as he walked around her, his paw slamming against her side, pinning her down. Any Atterians nearby had stopped to watch, starting to crowd the area.
He stared down at her silently. He had spent the better part of last night pacing back and forth through town - killing anything that DARED try to approach him. To kill his own mate - it was such a hard decision to make.
He knew however if he allowed to let the things he had seen last night continue - his son would become weak and would not make it past his teenager years if that. And that was what was important. Tellus' needed to be strong and unmoving if they were going to survive.
He no longer heard his heart - only his instincts. It was... the hardest decision he ever had to make in his life.
"Do not worry, I will take care of Terra. He'll be the strongest Atterian to ever live." He leant down, latching his teeth around her neck once more. He bit down into her neck this time without mercy, ripping her throat to shreds.
Terra shifted in his bed, an awful smell reaching his nose. He groaned, his eyes opening and he slowly sat up. "mommy?" He asked, sounding a little fearful. He slipped from his bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he walked to his bedroom door. He opened it. "Mom?" He called again stepping into the hall - and into something wet.
He looked down, the scent hitting him quickly and making his stomach twist. Blood. He looked down the hall towards the open door to his mother and father's room - seeing nothing within. He looked down the other way, to where the front door also lay open, and two black figures were in the dirt - crowded around by strange people.
Heart hammering he raced down into the hall stopping at the thershold. his eyes widened in horror and he opened his mouth and screamed, "MOTHER!!!"
A spear however was placed against his neck. Blue eyes blazing in fury, narrowed in on him. "What did you do?" Aqua hissed, and despite her small looking frame she did appear to be quite firece.

Ven blinked but smiled... before looking strong and serious again. "Daddy said I'm going to be the leader of the Peace Army when I grow up! Just like you." He took a deep breath again as he flapped his red, orange and yellow wings. "I though maybe I should start training now!" He nodded, his blonde spikes bouncing about.
A growl that never sounded gurgled in from her mouth, more blood dripping to the ground. She jerked however when a paw slammed into her, pinning her on the hot sands. Her yellow eyes looked up at her mate, lips pulling back as she shower her teeth that were covered in her own blood.
Ida hardly ever changed... but she felt like she would have a chance in this form. She was dead.... wrong. Her mouth opened wide as the teeth wrapped around her neck... and another horrible crunching sound filled the air followed by gasping.
She was suffocating... but she wouldn't leave this world... without giving him something to remember. Her spiked tail lifted with the last of her strength and smashed into Hatori's face, spikes smashing into him hard. She didn't see what damage he took... before her eyes closed and her body went limp. The sound of her heavy tail was the last noise that came from her.
Yellow eyes widened a bit as he felt the sharp edge on his neck. He looked up at her, no fear in his eyes in the least. "What did I do? You know... what didn't I do?" A puzzled look ran over the girl and he grinned. "Man...it takes you awhile huh?" He rolled his eyes as he stood, the spear still at his neck. "Guess you didn't get the hint about being nice to others who have been nice to you."
He sighed as he tilted his head. "I should of figured... everyone's the same. All bunch of duds." He pointed at the eggs sizzling and grinned. "Why don't you have some... I'm sure my cooking will taste familiar."

Gin blinked but smiled softly, patting the boy on the head. "Ven you're only five. You don't need to worry about stuff like that QUITE yet... besides your dad would never let me train you this soon. Especally with weapons."
He saw the dejected expression on the other's face and felt a little bad for the kid. He grinned, "But you know the games you play with other's can work as training until you get older."
Hatori gave a loud yelp, his teeth coming lose and he backed away shaking his head. Blood gushed down his face warmly and he snarled shaking his head.
A yell behind him made him look back, spotting Terra. The boy's wide blue eyes were filled with horror as he raced from the room, screaming 'Mom!' Hatori's fur bristled and he stepped forward, his teeth latching into the back of Terra's shirt. He yanked him around and the boy's feet left the ground. With a toss of his head he realeased the others shirt.
Terra cried out slamming into the ground only a few feet away. He struggled to his feet, only to feel two paws slamming down onto his back, the weight behind it making the air leave his lungs in a whoosh. He caught sight of the slinking tail and the large leopard's body, knowing it was his dad holding him down.
Hatori looked up, seeing the Atterian's that had crowded around, all looking at the now very dead wolf. He smirked. "Free breakfast~"
The Atterians all looked up in surprise then cheered racing for Ida.
Terra watched eyes widened further and tears spilled down his cheeks as the monster fought and bite at each other... and tore his mother to pieces. So much blood. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Aqua scoffed but one of her fears were quickly disolved - so he hadn't killed her admirer. Instead shockingly he WAS him.
Great, ugly old perverts are trying to help her. She lowered her spear slowly, poking it into the ground. She heaved a great sigh, her shoulders moving with it, and shook her head. "Listen, I appreciate all the help really but I don't need it. I can take care of myself." This was not the first time she had told him this - back when she first became a guardian she had left a note for him, telling him much the same thing. But he hadn;t stopped - and even if she started to reject the things he had broguthen he did not stop.
"I don't undertsand." She whispered suddenly. "Why?"

Ven grinned... but deflated when Gin had told him that we was too young. His wings hung low as he sighed. "But...." He sighed again and crossed his arms, pouting. If he trained now... he would be SUPER LEADER! And... who said anything about his dad knowing!?
He blinked though, his blue eyes looking up brightly at Gin's next words. "What!? How!?"
Ida had only passed away a minute before she was feasted on. Her body was still arm and her blood still running through her veins. Bones were ripped from her muscles with powerful jaws. Tendons snapped and her body was slowly becoming hard to recognize.
In a matter of a few minutes, the ground was pulling and dragging some things away to chew on elsewhere. What was left was her ribs, her horns, her spikes and an old bracelet and ring that she had worn.
Xigbar watched the woman put the spike in the ground and frowned, crossing his arm. "Yea, I'd like to see you say that when you were five." He turned, kneeling down and pushed his belongings back into his back as if he was ready to move. "I guess this time I will~~" He stood and frowned, hearing her whispering question.
His lean face slowly turned, the pointed ears poking through his hair. The yellow eyes latched onto her before slowly looked away. "Some questions are better off not asked." He poked the eggs one last time before grabbing up his bag. "Guess I didn't want to see some little girl starve." He put uncaring before walking off. "You're no good to eat without some meat on you."
His last sentence was as uncaring as the rest of it... but it was hard to tell if he was kidding... or not.
