Sora huffed, setting his bags in his new room, hearing his dad huffing and grumbling in the hall.
"Come now Hon, It won't be so bad." Aerith, his mother, tried to soothe. "It's just until we can figure out something better." Sora just shook his head knowing his dad wouldn;t be happy until they moved out. Roxas beside him rolled his eyes, walked over to his dusty bed and studying it with suspicion,
"It's just dust. It won't eat you Roxas." Sora teased his fratnal twin. Though he had to agree everything was rather well... dusty. And disgusting.
He supposed though that they had gotten rather lucky. Now even a month ago something terrible had happened. Their family, made up of his mother Aerith, his father Raichu, the double-twins (himself and Roxas both seventeen; then Iris and Kenji, both fifteen) then teir youngest and last sister Raine, only eleven, had lived in a moderately sized house with a nice yard and beautiful flowers and nice things. Then they went up or foreclosure. It apepared they had been heavily in debt and despite his dad working two jobs and his mother taking on extra hours, it hadn;t been enough. They had to sell... well near about everything.
And his parents had been terrified of them having to live on the sdtreets and losing their children to the orphanage and all that fun stuff - so his mother and father tried to get as much help as they could from family and friends. Except well there wasn;t any help to be had. No one was in any better position then themseleves. And because real estate was terrible this time of year there was no places to be had cheaper then god awful prices that no one in tbheir right mind could afford.
And just when they were starting to give up the phone gave a ring to their savoir. A rare call that came maybe once every two years. One from Aunt Ayane and Uncle Ryo. It appeared his Uncle Vertex had somehow gotten in contact with him and told him the news and despite the brother's bad history Uncle Ryo offered a solution.
The solution was to move into this huge manshion at the edges of town - already furnished but hadnl;t been lived in for years. It was up for a very low price and though they were suspicious, his parents found nothing wrong with the place and with little choice took the offer. Howerver their was a catch. Uncle Ryo and Uncle Ayane and their kids were moving in with them. Sora wasn;t clear on the details of why and didn;t think to ask because it wasn;t any of his business. All he kenw was his dad and uncle had some real bad history - and it revolved around his aunt Ayane somehow.
Well, he supposed it wasn't too terrible though. All he had to suffer through was Ryten's insufferable attitude and Adan;s strangely silent nature and his parents fighting against his relatives for a year until he and Roxas could move out together and go to college or something.
And the best part is they both had their license so going to see their girlfriends - Kairi and Namine - wouldn't be so impossible. Sure gas would be hell to pay for but it would be worth it. He was already missing her...
He sighed, glancing wistfully at his phone. Hell even a call from Riku, his best friend, would be nice! Or even Axel! Then again he didn't know why Roxas' insane best friend liked to call him. He swore something was wrong with the eccentric red-head when he burned down that tree three years ago...
