A thud was heard on the floor. "ow..." Dainket stood up and shook his head. He stood up and yawned. He started to make up his bed and sniffed the air. he could smell food.....he loved food so much! He smirked and put on his pants and his red kimono. he ran to te mirror and brushed out his long black and blue hair. his blue "horns" went into place and he rushed into his bathroom and took out a stool so he could see. He scrubbed his teeth and washed out his mouth. Dainket was now 11 years old and he lived alone with his grandfather. he was a pretty good kid in all. he seemed to always get into trouble though, never failed. When he was done, he ran down the stairs and tripped. he hit the wall with and bang but got right up and ran into the kitchen and sat down at the table. His eyes were wide open as he looked at the stove. "hey Grandpa, what's for breakfast?"

Raichu looked back at Dainket... the once young and prideful fighter was now quite old and had a few grey hairs growing in his bushy hair. He smiled as he flipped up the pancakes from the pan " just pancakes and some bacon you know the usual" he laughed looking back at dainket then turned back to the flood " it will be done in a bit alright" Raichu took the bacon out from the pan setting it on a plate " hey can you set the table for me please?"

Dainket rolled his eyes. "ow again!? we have bacon everyday grandpa." he sighed and stood up ,walking to the cabinet and takeing out two plates. he placed them on the table and walked to a shelf and took another stool and climbed up and got some forks and knives. he climbed down and put them under the plates and put the stool away. he then jumped up on his chair again and pouted. "hey, isn't there supost to be a parade today?"

Raichu looked over at him as he put the pancakes on the plates then nodded his head " yeah I think there is and dont make fun of my cooking its not my fault I didnt learn, hey how about later tonight after the parade we go out to eat alright? Then we wont have to deal with my crapy cooking" he laughed as he sat down on the table " now lets dig in the food is getting cold"

dainket giggled. "ok, grampa. that sounds like a good idea to me." he looked around and growned. he got out of the chair and took the stool back out and got two cups and put them on the table. he went to the fridge and took out some orange juice and pour it into both cups. he put it away along with the stool and go back into the chair. "there, that's better." he took his fork and knife and started to dig in. His grandpa's cooking was ok, he grew up on it. it was just the lack of veriety that was killing dainket. going out for dinner sounded like a good idea. He stuffed the pancakes into his mouth and drank some juice. he wasn't a very clean kid when it came to eating. "So what is in this parade. I heard it's a Sea parade." he said with his mouth full and food flew all over.

Raichu began eating in his normal quick manner eating as much as he he could he looked up with his mouth full and looked at dainket and shrugged " I dont really know much about it at all sorry" he swallowed the food in his mouth quickly and laughed " I really need to learn how to cook something else" he scratched the back of his head " think I should buy a cook book?"

Dainket giggled again. "grandpa....cooking books are for girls." he started to laugh and took another fork full of food. When he was done he got up and brought his plate to the stove and put some more food on it. he walked back and started to eat again. "I guess we are both big eaters. you make a lot of food. that's good." he smiled and took a drink of orange juice. Then he looked up at raichu. "can i skipp training today since we are going to be busy? i really don't feel like training today grandpa. I hit my head on the floor again." he rubbed the back of his head and sighed.

Raichu looked at dainket and nodded " yeah alright you can skip for today I dont see why not, and the cook book thing... I guess your right but hey girls do cook alot better than I do" he took another big bite from his food and laughed slightly " so where do you want to go out to eat tonight?"

Dainket blinked and shrugged. "I don't know, I'd go anywhere." he really didn't want to insult his grandpa, or make him feel bad but his food was really bad. he sighed as he ate his final peice and put it in the sink. he took the stool again and cleaned it off. "wait a minute, grandpa, you said you were gonna teach me how to fly today. I really wanna know!" he ran up ot Raichu and put on a huge smile. "please!!"

Raichu had a huge chunk of food in his mouth as he swallowed it down hard then looked at dainket and nodded " um.. yeah sure I dont see why not... um.. when do you want to go out and try? " Raichu took another bite from his food chewing it slowly, he then swallowed it withouth chewing

Dainket blinked. his grandpa was a bigger pig than him. he smiled. "how about when you're done? the parade doesn't start till sunset anyway. I wanna show off to Gab. He's gonna get so mad!" he giggled. "we can practice on the training ground." he ran to the door and took his coat and put it on.

Raichu looked over at the food then at dainket two tough descisions he laughed to himself as he stood up " yeah alright we can do it right now I guess dont really have anything else to do but eat" he scratched the back of his head " you do remember what I tought you about basic energy and lifeforce right?" he walked over to the coat rack as he took his coat down wrapping it around his shoulders

Dainket scratched the back of his head. "yea, I remember alittle. I really don't have any idea how to lift myself in the air. i tried but i kept falling off the rocks at the training ground. I'm happy that no one trains there. It was a good spot to pick, no one goes so i can play around while i train." he stopped for a minute and blinked, then rubbed his foot on the floor. "not like i fool around in the first place..." he looked up at raichu and gave him an uneasy smile.

Raichu walked out the back door and looked back at Dainket " well dainket its not jumping that makes you fly you kind of have to keep yourself pushed up or what not youll get it when I show you, now lets get going alright? do you want me to fly us there or would you rather walk there?" Raichu gave out a brief yawn then shook his head he was getting old

"fly, it's too early to walk." he smiled and wlaked out the back door. "did you have a good sleep last night grandpa? I fell out of bed, maybe you heard me. I really have to stop doing that. I keep having strange dreams though. I'm not even sure that they are the future. you told me about dreams like that. I guess i shouldn't worry to much. I have school tomorrow and such." he sighed and looked at the dark sky. Dainket was use to getting up before the sun. he would meditate for 2 hours after breakfast and train at sunset after school for three hours. Then he would come back home and have supper. He'd sit down and do something with raichu for a hour after that then go to bed and do the same thing everyday. he was use to it though. He knew it would make him stronger for the tourdament in the fall.
