"well, that's very sweet of him." she held him tightly, as if he were her own son. she knew that she's was growing attached to the boy...and even his father. it wasn't a good thing. she had to leave someday but how could she now? the boy looked up to her, she did save him twice and who knows how many more. she was glad that she let her good nature take over her bad. she as still surpised that ryten wasn't afraid of her horns and strange body.
she knew though, she knew that she'd never be remembered...

Ryten smiled looking up at the wall then back at her " why do you have those things sticking out from your head?" he asked as he poked at her horns

She laughed and took ryten's hand gently away from her horns. "those are my horns. I'm a Siren. do you know what they are?" ryten shook his head. she laid on her back and held him to her side. "sirens are creatures from the sea. A long time ago they would sing on rocks and draw men and they're vessils to death and the rocks crushed and sunk their boats. After a few years of being hunted, the anceint Sirens decided to make peace and make underwater cities. we evolved into a gread race and split up into different cities and towns, which were called clans. We use to rule the underwater world. human would come and trade with us, give us items like lamps for fish or seaweed. We were called the gentle people of the seas for millions of years. We even were special enough that we got our own sign, the Capercorn, a goat like figure with a fish tail. Then we were invaded with a horrible leader that signed a treaty with Shinra. the humans backstabed us and killed all the Sirens and their homes."she blinked. "and here I am. The last Siren in the world."

Ryten frowned he felt sorry for her she lost her family just like he did.. he hugged her tight " im sorry.." he said in a low tone of voice. Right now Ryten wanted to cheer her up... " are you sad..?"

Ryten smiled " then you can stay here with me and then you wont be sad anymore" he held onto her tight she reminded him of his mother.. how she protecting him without thinking... it made him happy to have somebody like that around

she frowned and sighed. she couldn't stay, she couldn't tell ryten that. he was so sweet, the sweetest human she had met. she closed her eyes. "you should get some rest now." she put the blanket over him and started to hymn a gentle song that her mother once sang. Siren were best known for their voice and song. a few minutes later, ryten was asleep. Sin detached the boy gently and took a robe that hung on the door and walked down stairs. she saw raichu sitting there with his pole. she smiled and walked over to him and sat on the floor, not saying a word.

Raichu looked over at her his eyes had black circles around them showing that he was quite tired he had been up all night he wouldnt fail his son again... he wouldnt let any harm come to him like had happend to his wife..." so... your finally awake..." he smiled at her " how are you doing?"

She looked at raichu and nodded. "i'm fine. thank you for your kindness." she looked down and sighed. "raichu.....you can't live this way. it really kills a man. I know you loved your wife very much but......you're gonna kill your spirit if you keep putting her death on your chest like that. you are a very kind man and i think that it would be best to...well, have another chance. Ryten needs a motherly figure. there must be someone out there, someone not as special as your wife, you'll never find that again. but for your son's sake. a mother would do him good." she paused and sigh. "i should be saying this. i know nothing of human nature. it's just that ryten is such a sweet boy. he'll never forget his mother but a female figure might bring back some light back into the child."

Raichu frowned as he reached in his shirt for the locket she gave him then shook his head " no I cant... I have been with her since I first moved here... its been so long then when I finally married her... I dont care if she is dead I wont be with anyone else... when I die ill return to her someday..." he frowned putting his locket back away then stared down at his wedding ring the one thing that he would never take off...

she nodded. "i understand. i never loved anyone so i can't really understand. but i do know that there is much love in this house." she looked at him with tears in her eyes. "so much love..." she stood up and sat on the couch next to raichu. she took his hands and held them tightly. "you get some sleep. I'll watch over ryten. please sleep, nothing will happen tonight. i will stay on guard." she leaned over and kissed his softly on the cheek then let go of his hands and looked away.

Raichu blushed as he looked at her oddly, why did she... he shook his head " no I cant sleep... you might get hurt again and I wont let that happen... you have helped my son and for that I am eternally greatful... I would do anything to repay you for it aswell..." he smiled slightly as he looked at her

she looked down and blushed alittle. "i want you to sleep for me, that's what i want from you. I'll be fine. they won't attack tonight. I've been around shinra long enough to know when they attack and tonight isn't the night." she looked up, which was a bad move in her part since she was still pink in the checks. "please rest, who knows what tomorrow might bring." her eyes softly looked into his then she looked away again.

Raichu shook his head as he took her hand " no.. they will try to attack.. they killed my wife at night... I wont let the same happen to you..." he frowned thinking about that night... if only he had been there he could have saved ayame... he wanted to cry right now like when he found her... but he couldnt he wouldnt cry

she sighed. "i see you won't do what i ask of you. i see that you doing anything to repay me won't work." she smiled and grasped his hand. "fine, then i'll stay up with you. I wish to protect ryten while i stay here too. i always wanted to protect a child." she could see the tears behind his eyes, she pulled him closer and held him. she rubbed her hand against the back of his neck. "cry, you'll feel better"
