Ken Valsing's real name is Ken Valentine. He is an old offspring of a ShinRa Turk. *cough*vincent*cough*
But anyway, he is a soft spoken man who's job is a Chocobo jockey.
He raised Chocobos ever since his parents died when he was about 10.
They lived where Chocobo eaters were rare but one day, the family's prized Chocobo and her eggs and Ken's parents were eaten by a wondering monster.
Only one egg survived and so did Ken.
when the egg hatched, Ken called the Chocobo Mako and decided that he'd become a Chocobo racer.
And SO he did
Now Ken is about 23 and has two very odd jobs. His first being his only friend's rider (mako) and he is a singer at small random bars. He's needs to money for travel, though his voice isn't all that great, he still gets by.
ken learned of his family's name and that it was connected with the ShinRa. He decided to go as Ken Valsing instead...so no one would pick a fight with him.
After he won his first race ever, he learned that his father wanted him to become a fighter. He said the blood was quite strong and that Ken could bring back the family name and win the battles of the past. However Ken didn't know how to fight...or even cared about it but he knew that he had to carry the word of a dead man and headed towards the new Midgar to see what waited fo him there.
Too bad for him that he had no idea where Midgar was. So he headed out for his journey and tried to pick up as many gigs as possible to help him with the travel. Also getting his name out, many people knew him as the champ Chocobo racer. The name would get him some free rooms and food, but that was about it.
His story now continues!
