if you're anything like me you have come to believe that a vast majority of this world is populated by total jackasses and morons... as well as a variety of nitwits, idiots and psychos... well i have to say there is at least one nice (or just incredibally stupid) person out there... and his name is Mr. Georgatos
it started yesterday, a man called up to check on his order, a dishwasher, to see if it was in yet... i checked the name thru the computer system and saw it would be in the next day (today) and told him as such... he asked me my name, and slightly confuzzled i answered... that was the end of the conversation and i hung up the phone... today he showed up at the warehouse to pick up his dishwasher.. again he asked my name and again i answered, he then asked me if i was the same shawn who helped him over the phone yesterday, to which i replied "yup", being the only shawn working at the warehouse... he asked me if i would be the one loading the dishwasher into the car, and , as my co-worker was off loading a snowthrower into another car i replied yes once more... he then says "Then this is for you" and hands me a $20 bill... a twenty dollar tip for anything at sears is unheard of... i've loaded tractors and pool tables for no tip at all and this guy hands me a 20 for a dishwasher... i was stunned... generally a tip for something small like a dishwasher or a large tool box is $2-3... 5 for something like a snowthrower... maybe once in a while a nice person will hand u a 10 for something huge like a tractor a particularly large refrigerator... but more often than not the tip is a simple "Thanks dude" or "make sure u don't scratch my car!!"
yeah... so i'm in a good mood right now
