Mirray frowned ans sighed. "i don't know. I didn't mean to hurt him. I fell really bad." they walked to his room and laid him down. lycol started to leave and Mirray looked at him. "i'm going to stay here with him. Make sure he'll be ok." she ran her fingers through his hair. "i'm sorry" she whispered by his side.

Lytol looked back at her. "ok. but remember that you need rest too." he was about to leave when he saw her arm covered in blood. "whoa! hold on a second!" he ran to her side. "give me your arm." he winced at the sight of it. it was a very deep gash. to the bone. "you should have told me about this." he watched as it sealed itself again. then he took his leave.

she smiled warmly and sat next to Dac. she held his hand and sighed. "you'll be ok. please forgive me." she looked at the blade and it no longer had a shine to it. the blood was gone but the shadow had engolfed it. she looked worried and picked it up. this shadow was not right. this blade stood for love. why a shadow?

Dac woke with a start and looked around him. he saw Mirray at the end of his cot. "oh, hi there. did youi get your arm tended to?" he looked at it and nodded. "good. don't want you bleeding to death now that your a full-fledged ranger." he chuckled to himself as he got up. "soon, we'll get your first assignment." he looked at his tattered clothes. they had been new before the test. "i shouldn't have worn my new clothes today. well, i'm off to get them mended. want to come with?" he smiled at her.

she looked up at him and stood. "Sure!" she smiled and walked to his side. "hey, i'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't know how powerful this blade was." she looked at it and frowned. "i hope i don't ever have to do anything like that again to you." she sighed as they walked down the hall. "lycol fixed me up. i really didn't notice. i was too worried about you..."

ooc: night! and its Lytol. not Lycol.  after they got back from fixing up his clothes, the new partners went to the dining chambers as it was about dinner time. the dining chamber is just about the biggest room in the entire complex. the tables were carved right out of the rock in rows. people sat according to rank. the survivers and their partners sat at the far left and the lower ranks sat to the left accordingly. after getting some stew.(which had been served alomst every day since the great war) they sat at the surviver's table which was of course relatively empty of people. a few other survivers had found partners, but none were as far as Mirray. "i heard you got beat pretty bad by a little girl Dac!" Jaxom had come up behind him and slapped a hand on his shoulder. he laughed at the sound of his old friends voice and turned to greet him. "Jaxom! you old fool!! how've you been? dis you find yourself a partner yet?" he nodded and gestured towards a young boy about half Mirray's age. he grimaced. "a bit young isn't he?" "well, yes. but he claimed his weapon and thats that. he'll grow soon enough." Jaxom spyed Mirray out of the corner of his eye. "and is this the one?" he moved closer to her while keeping his eye on Dac for an answer. "yes, she is the one. don't let her fool you. she's much stronger than she looks." "well, i would imagine so to beat you." he grinned. "and i heard she claimed the For Ones with Hearts. is that true?" Dac laughed and pointed to Mirray. "why don't you ask her?" |

Mirray nodded and pulled out the blade. The man grinned and nodded. "well, i heard that was a hard blade to get your hands on. Not even poor Duo could use the damn thing. Say, where is Duo?" Mirray looked up at the man. "he lives in Tribalamb, my birth place. He's settled as the noble knight. He has a wife and child." the man frowned but slicked back his hair. "Really? I thought more of Duo. Oh well, See ya around Dac." the man left and Mirray and dac stood there alone. She sighed and looked at the stew. She ate it about everyday. "Dac? when the hell are we going to leave? This cave place is really getting to me. I need some fresh air."

"i know, i know. i just have to make my report to the council and then we'll be out of here." he sucked up the last of his stew. "better finish that. we won't get to eat for a while." he left to put his dishes away. when he got back, she was done with her stew so they put that away and left for the council chamber. on the way, he told Mirray to gather their things while he made his report. the council chanmber was nothing special, besides the fact that it had a long desk at the far end of the room, where the council sat. the council was small compared to others in the past, but still big enough to run the facility. "good evening council men." Dac saluted them. though he didn't particularly like a few of them. "i am here to make my report concerning my young partner Mirray. she has passed the final test, with flying colors even. she has learned all there is to know from stodies. she now requires experience to further her skills. i request leave from the city to accomplish this." the head council man, Toric, spoke for the group. "very well. you may go. may you fight with honor, and defend the worlds." "thank you." he saluted again and left. when he stepped out of the council chambers, Mirray was waiting.

Mirray stood there looking at the blade. the shadows concerned her. they started to get clearer. she could see a figure, but he wasn't clear yet. she looked up and smiled. "got an 'ok'? i really want to get outta here." she pointed to her small backpack. she packed all that she bought and nothing else.

"yep. we can leave right now." Dac wanted to leave too. he never liked the taste of stale air. they made their way through the cat walks to the exit. they stepped out and the blouder closed behind them. the first thing he did was take a deep breath of fresh air. he let a big sigh out as a big grin appeared on his face. "well, we gotta go to the north, to check out a town, then we're off to Traverse Town to check up on a few delinquints."

Mirray smiled and breathed the fresh air. "Traverse town? sounds good to me." she walked down the path with Dac. the night was cold but Mirray didn't mind. she loved the fresh air. the trail led through the woods. She smiled and looked up at the stars. they were so pretty.

Dac looked about him as they walked. he loved the sights of the worlds. he would hate to see it destroyed by the heartless. Lytol says there are many heartless crossing the trail ahead the Lunato informed him. "hold on Mirray. there are heartless up ahead." he peeked aroundthe next bend. he saw all kind s of heartless crossing the trail, just like Lytol said. he thanked him silently. he motioned for Mirray to take a look.

Mirray looked and took out her blade. "they walk so freely," she whispered as she waited for Dac to come in closer. "is there a main man around?" she looked at the blade but it didn't make a sound. she gazed at the small bugs. "they should be too hard." she walked over, staying low to the ground. it would be her first REAL battle. she was excited and ready.

he tryed to stop her. but it was too late, before he could say anything, she was already too close to call back. he started to come up with an escape route. they would need to leave quickly. very quickly.

Mirray jumped at them and they looked at her. the scattered everywhere but she was too quick. she sliced through twelve in one blow. suddenly a humming came. a main man was close. she cut through a few more shadows and more kept popping up. she smiled as they did. she had the crave to kill these things. they were so weak yet fun to play with. she saw Dac as he walked around the border, watching her. the humming grew and she looked past him. an outline of a man was behind Dac. she slashed away a few more shadows and ran to Dac. "duck!" he did so and Mirray slashed at the man. he jumped out to the light and drew his own sword. A heartless tattoo was on his neck and mirray smiled. she jumped and slashed at him. "Tidus, I was wondering when we should meet again." tidus frowned and swung at her. she ducked and tripped him. he struggled to get up but she had a tight hold. she raised the blade and jabbed it into his chest. A small crystal heart flew from his wound and flew into the sky. a star twinckled and she smiled. all the heartless disappeared and she looked back at Dac.
