So I went to E3 and waited an hour in line to play the FFXII Demo. I must say you should all expect this to be one great game. The graphics are similiar to X and X-2. A little better tho. But the environments aren't the same and its a new world which is good. I didn't care to much for Spira. But Ivalice is cool. Anyways the gameplay is great. The Battle system is a little bit like X-2 as far as having more than 1 character being able to attack at a time. But the characters are better (not all girlie-girls).
Anyways I also saw the PSP and the Gameboy DS. They both looked good and on the PSP they showed its power by playing a movie on it. Also Advent children will be sold on 2 formats, one of which is the really mini psp discs so that you can watch the movie on the psp. Sony will also have a program for pc to allow you to download movies onto the psp. The DS will have a standard wireless network card and has a built in mic for voice command games. the bottom screen is a touch screen and you can use a stylus. They showed a Metroid game on the DS which looked almost as good as Metroid prime. The controls were fine and the DS now has 4 buttons and not the 2 ( a + b) You can use the stylus to aim in the game while still moving around and firing. I know it sounds complicated but its much more intuative than you think. The psp had slighter better graphics and some cool features but I'll still go with the DS. Or I will break down and get both whenever I can afford it.
