The Chasers: New World Locket

Ven frowned as he pulled the boy up. A hospital...? Unfortunately their hospital was three connections away. He frowned, seeing the man disappear. Who was that...? He looked down at Gunnar we was sniffling, steam rolling off his leg. He sighed... not really wanting to trust any hospital around here... and they really needed to get back on the ship.

He knelt down again and shook the little boy a bit. "Gunnar... calm down... tell us what happened huh?" He was worried what this 'mako' was...
The boy seemed drowsy from the pain but he slowly looked up through spiked hair. Blue eyes widened as he looked at the boy's eyes. They were no longer the light brown his parents gave him... but a green with cat like slits.
"Mommy....? Daddy.....?" Was all his voice could drone out.



"Sorry, Moe, Curly, Larry and Tweedledee.... no can do." The redhead smirked more as the two Turks slowly started to head towards them.

Olette's rod appeared in her hands and she got in stance next to her husband. Fujin was next to Aqua as her chakrams formed.

Green eyes blinked and focused on the charrams for a moment.... but he shook his head. Yes, they were out numbered... but they had already called for back up...
Suddenly, there was some static.
Ven's voice came through the four communicators. "We found Gunnar... I think he'll be ok! How are you guys doing?"

Fuu just grinned and shook her head.

Terra tensed looking down at the boy's eyes. He cursed lightly. What the hell... was going on here?

Lucina gripped onto Terra's arm. "what happened to him?" she whimpered fearfully.

He ruffled her hair. "Who knows but... he;d gonna be okay Luci don't worry."


Seifer relaxed in silent relief but he still wanted to see his son. He readied his gunblade, fglaring the men down.

Rude's eyes narrowed confidently, seeing elena and Tseng coming in the distance theyw ere far off now. It was even now. But they had the advantage.

Aqua heard Ven's voice. "fine," she answered but seemed more like she was talking to Reno. "We'll kick your asses-" she said pointed to Reno and Rude. "and we'll also kick the two's asses that are BEHIND us." She was still a scouter, and her skills had been honed over the years, even in places that didn;t have much water or poisoned amounts. But this place... had a very very strange liquid she could detect, and it was helping her see them all.

Rude tensed. How had she know that? turks were notorious for being quiet.

Elena's eyes narrowed, hearing the woman's voice. A sense spell...? but she hadn;t even seen her call for it! There magic was... unreal.

Ventus growled as he looked at the kids. Damnit.... this wasn't good. He could tell by Aqua's voice that no.... not everything was fine. They were still in trouble. He looked up at Terra that looked extremely worried. He slowly stood and pulled the mic to his mouth. "All of you... pull out. Get back to the ship now."
They didn't have to flee many times... but they weren't stupid...

He looked at Terra knowing that it wasn't his call to call back the others... but things could only get uglier if they stayed on this world. He quickly made a portal and pulled the two kids with him.


Olette blinked and looked behind her, seeing a woman and a man pointing guns at them. She frowned, not use to really fighting against guns. She looked back at her husband then heard Ven. That wasn't normal... Terra was the one who usually called the fleeing. She looked at Aqua to see what she'd do.

Fuu too was shocked to hear Ventus give the order. She growled as she glanced back at the two behind them.

Lucina sniffled and yelped in surprise when Ven grabbed her up again, pulling her through.

Terra frowned but only nodded to Ven's words, agreeing immediately. He stood when Ven opened to portal and brought the kids through. He paused however, looking across to the side of himself, feeling the pulsing need growing inside him. He hissed, stepping away from the portal, looking over the side of a balcony... at green glowingness.

He knew what it was instantly. It was... the energy of the planet. His eyes flashed golden for just a second, a strange desire to just plunge his hand down and suck it dry overcame him. His fingers twitched and he growled low... and then he saw Ven in his mind and he gasped backing away... and ran for his life through the portal.


Seifer's eyes narrowed at the order, but with a quick look around he was beginning to think that wasn't a half bad idea. He just wanted to know what happened to his son!

"Well... dems the orders." Aqua said with a nod. Her hhand twitched and streams of water shot under all four turks. she slashed a protal quickly. "Come on!" she called, running inside, the other three at her heels.

Once Ven got in, he noticed there was a pause. He looked back into the portal, seeing Terra stop and look elsewhere before joining. He didn't bother asking, he just wanted to get Gunnar to safety. He quickly rushed to their room and laid the body down. "Gunnar... come on kid... say something...."

The brunette boy just laid on the bed, his head seeming to swirl as his glowing eyes looked down.
Ven frowned and he shook the little boy again but nothing came out. "Shit..."


Olette blinked as the water came up around them but quickly followed Aqua into the portal with Fuu and Seifer.


Reno grinned and was about to lash out when water flew up from the floor and everyone was pushed back. He did see what happened. A portal of some sort. Who where these people!?



The night came and the Chaser aircraft was flying through connection after connection. It was going fast but not the pull it could of gotten. They needed to save some energy... because of the sick boy on board.

Olette sat at the base of her son's bed, now switching the twins with Terra and Ventus because... whatever Gunnar had, she didn't want Luci to catch it. A damp cloth was pressed on the boy's head... even if he didn't have a fever... but maybe it would stop the dizziness somehow. Her heart ached as he son didn't say a word since they came back to the ship.

Her green eyes looked across the bed at her husband and daughter who just looked at him... as if it would help any. She then looked back down at him and rubbed her hand on his chubby cheek. "It's ok baby... we'll get to a hospital soon..."


Fuu sighed as she stirred some soup and blew on it. She had offered others food, but most of them refused it. She leaned on the counter in the kitchen, seeing Aqua sip on her soup too. "Do you think the medics at Disney will know about some virus three connections away?" Ven had suggested going to their hospital... but even if it was a cruddy world, they would of know a lot more about what was going on with Gunnar.


The blonde sighed and nodded. "Yea.... we're headed there now... we should get there in less than an hour. We first have to drop Seifer, Olette, Luci and Gunnar at Disney Castle." He briefed his brother already on what happened today. "See you then." He closed his cell and looked down at the floor. The good part was was that the four had found two keyblades out of the six. The bad part was Aqua made a pretty large foe and it would be hard to get or find the keyblades that they needed now.

He looked up, seeing Terra come from the shower. He only smiled softly before he laid on their 'new' bed. He wished he just won the argument with kids instead of getting it because one had become infected. He wished Terra didn't scare that man away... he seemed to know what happened and what this 'mako' thing was.


Back on Midgar, the world was in a hazed nightfall again. The Shinra building was still shut down and red lights glowed from inside. The normal employees were able to return home... but as for Rufus and the Turks, their job wasn't done.

The man with black hair shook his head, still cleaning his ears with his pinky to get some water out as he sat next to the blonde woman. Damn... Reno was back for one day and all hell broke out loose. It was impressive though that Rude... even after twenty years stood by his partners side behind everything... except for now.

He moved his eyes to see the large man leaning up against the wall like them... and sleeping. It was hard to tell if the bald man was sleeping because of his shades, but he could tell by the soft breaths. An arm wrapped around the blonde woman as he sighed, looking up and down the hallway. They had to stay for the night to make sure the boss would be ok. Tomorrow, it was Rude and Reno's job to transport him to Healin Lodge where he would be more safe.


Inside Rufus's office, a redhead sat on the desk looking out the large widow that looked over Midgar. It was an eerie view at night, the lights making it easy to see how polluted the world was. He couldn't sleep... not knowing that Rufus was in danger. His green eyes pulled to close on red tattoos but he forced them up. He looked over, seeing Rufus looking at the odd weapon again.

Lucina, who had to be comvinced that switching beds for the best, sat on her own, teary and wide eyed. she was too little to understand the seriousness of the situation, and even more unable to really do antyhing about it. Her father was by her side and she was clinging to him not knowing how else she could help. "Gunnar's gonna be okay right? we'll get to pkay tag again real soon right?"

Seifer frowned, petting her head. The sight of his son was scaring him. The moment he HAD seen him he had blown up and threatened to murder Terra and Ven both. The fight had gotten real heated until Olette snapped for quiet and they did so. Now all he could do is keep his family calm while the ship ran its course for Disney. He only prayed they could do something to help...


"I don't know." Aqua said simply. "but after the entrance we made on that word... we couldn;t have very well stayed there." Aqua mumbled, drinking at her soup. "We just have to hope..."

She set her spoon down, placing a pal in her chin and then rasied her other hand. She pointed a figners at her soup and the liquid lifted up in a little stream. She moved her finger in a design of a heart, and when she looked through it could see Fuujin;s face. She chuckled, before letting the liquid drop back down to cool.


in only boxers Terra sighed as he walked across the cold floor back into his room as he heard Ven ending his conversation with... Sora probably. He smiled softly back before going through his things and through on some pants, pulling them on.

He hadn't really thought about it when he had struck at the other man. He had just been angry. And besides he doubted they could have trusted anything the strange man had said anyways...

He padded over to the bed, his hair still damp and he laid down on his side. He hooked a leg over Ven's, sighing. "this is been one shitty day." He spoke. That morning everything was perfect - and then Axel happened and then the kids...


"Yeah... see ya." Sora mumbled softly, closing his phone. He looked down at the desk in the study, his heart heavy. "Gunnar..." he mumbled...

Something about the conversation struck a twinge of Deja vu in him though.

"Green was...w afting off his legs?"
"Yeah and not only that but his eyes... changed green too...a slitted like a cat's... it was real freaky."

Why did that sound so familar? He tapped out of the now clean room - Sora had made good on his promise. the minute they were back Sora began to clean. He had to glue a whole buncha of broken figurines back together and had to buy some new picture frames nice Roxas had broken most of them. Riku had been helping for awhile, and they had both forced their blonde brother (in-law in riku;s case) to rest.

But Roxas had looked so bored that Sora forced riku to go entertain him. The boys ended up playing all sort's of card games... and got real competitive about it too. It had been real interesting to listen too.

But now... Roxas was laying out on the couch, eyes half-lidded, Xiopressed up against his side. His arm was above himself, the black Bond of Flames keychain in his hand, much like he had long ago with a blue marble.... He was twisitng it around, scruntizing it as if it could tell him where Axel was.

Riku was laying out on the floor, seeming to be dozing. invidia was curled up on his stomach, dozing awya. It was quite comical really.

Sora walked down the stairs quietly, but even still several pairs of eyes raisied to watch him. the house was perfect again... but his eyes were troubled. "Hey... Roxas does the idea of green cat-eyes remind you of anything?"

"Axel." Roxas said simply, looking back at the charm.

Sora blinked slowly. "Uh... cat-eyes, CAAAAT-eyes."

"Oh..." Roxas frowned, his eye brows furrowing. He was still thinking of Axel but... it made him think of someone else too... He just couldn't pinpoint it. "Not... exactly. did... we fight someone like that...?"

Sora frowned, biting his lip. the memory was so very far away. "I dunno..."


Elena sighed a bit, moving closer to Tseng's side, her head lying on his shoulder. She shut her own eyes frowning. The water had been one hell of a surprise, she'd never seen magic like that. whoeveer that blue-haired woman was.. she didn;t like her nor trust her nor anyone who stood by her.

She wondered how Rude fell asleep standing up. Tuired much?


"Reno..." Rufus spoke softly. "I believe that;s a keyblade." He nodded towards the blade mounted on the wall. "If it is, and they were searching for it... mayeb that is why they came here today." He frowned softly. "Can you bring it down from there for me?"

Olette sighed as she looked back at her husband and daughter. She was really glad that Seifer didn't turn out to be such a bad guy like Hayner carried on about. Hayner was too quick to judge. She sighed again and shook her head. There was no way she could get any sleep tonight. She blamed herself for all this... she should of kept that teleporter in a place where the kids didn't know where to find it. She knew the kids really wanted to see a world... but not that badly.


Fuu blinked as she saw the heart made out of soup. A large smile ran over her face before she placed her bowl of soup back on the stove and walked over to her lover. She leaned down and wrapped her arms around her neck, softly kissing her. She knew this was no time to relax... but there wasn't anything they could do except to wait... and that was really not much fun.

She ran her fingers through blue hair and on white shoulders. She moved in closer and started to plant sweet kisses on her neck. "You haven't seen your own brother for awhile have you?" She asked softly. It had almost been a year since she had seen the blue haired guardian and the crazy blonde fellow. They didn't happen to have cellphones either since the world was still poor and there wasn't much electricity to be found in the realm they lived in.


Blue eyes looked over at the brunette as he joined him in bed. It was kind of funny... even a full size bed wasn't all that big enough for them. Terra was huge and well... Ven wasn't as small as he used to be. They would still probably need to get a bed of their own. Besides, this one still had urine stains on it from the kids... so yea... they still needed a new one. He turned to face Terra and got closer to him, snuggling up into his warmth.

"Life of a Chaser remember..." Ventus put softly before he planted a small kiss on the other's lips. They laid there in silence for awhile before Ven pulled up and leaned on his elbow. He looked down at Terra, his blue eyes shinning behind long, blonde spikes. "I felt it Terra.... I felt it today..." His hand reached up and slowly curled some brown locks in his hair. "I felt this hunger inside me that wasn't mine..." He looked down slightly. "You.... wanted to.... take the worlds' energy... didn't you?"

Ventus was worried about that. Ever since Terra had turned into that beast so many years ago, there was a noticeable change. The wolf like beast inside of Terra... the true Atteris inside of him was slowly peering out... and Ven... hoped to god that Terra wouldn't start turning into what the legend had told. But today... it frightened him... that feeling of ruling and dominance. He had seen how Terra fought... and it was horrifying to think of what they would do if they actually had to fight him. It happened with Riku... it could easily happen to Terra.

He rubbed the older man's cheek and smiled softly. "And don't deny it... I... just want you to know... that you don't need a world to be happy huh? You have me... now and forever.... ok. I promise you that. It's my oath." He spoke softly before he leaned down and softly licked the other's lips.



Riku snored soundly on the floor, Vi keeping him warm next to the crackling of the fireplace. At first, Roxas didn't want to light it. It reminded him too much of the man he was missing... but the house was getting too cold not to.

Xio whimpered a bit as he laid by Roxas's side. It was never cold in the house before. Axel made sure of it. He really was gone. He wasn't out to the store... never opened the door and brightly said 'I'm home!' Nothing... No soft chuckles or laughs in the kitchen as they made dinner together... and no giggles and soft moans as they played in the bed together....

His ears perked as the moomba watched Sora come downstairs. He heard the idle chitchat of the two brothers before he laid his head back on Roxas' chest. He was about to close his amber eyes when he heard something. A bell? A ringing? Just like the one this morning. His head popped up quickly as he looked at the Bond of Flames keychain. There was a slight glow to it and a warmth coming off it... but it suddenly went out again. What was all that about?? Axel was ok??



Reno sighed softly as he just sat there, looking out the window. It was so quiet, he was sure Rufus had fallen asleep. He yawned slightly before he suddenly felt something as he shifted to pull his jacket off. A round thing? An extra materia? He reached into his pocket, expecting to see a green orb.... but... it wasn't. It was red... but it wasn't a Summon materia.

It was just a red marble. He cocked his head as he pick it up and looked at it through the dim light. He didn't know what made him do it... but it felt so natural. When he looked through it... he saw exotic green eyes looking back at him, with red spiky hair.... but his red tattoos were no longer on his cheek bones... black ones were under his eyes and his face was a bit different. "Ael....?" He whispered before he blinked and suddenly a new picture could be seen in the red glow.

A blonde... with spiky hair. His eyes were bright with a smile that matched it. "Roas..." Another whisper. That was when he suddenly heard Rufus. He pulled the marble down and looked at it, just seeing his old reflection in it. He must of been hallucinating again. Not enough ale to keep him alive... He looked at the odd weapon and jumped off the desk, his rattail following him easily.

He walked over to the wheelchair, his white shirt shifting as he walked. It was still hard to get use to Rufus in a wheel chair. Now they had to really make sure to protect him. He looked up at the weapon again and nodded, leaving his side and reaching up, pulling it off. It was heavy but sturdy. He turned and slowly walked back to his boss, handing it softy to him.

"Daddy he'll get better soon right? like tommorrow right?"

"No honey... he'll need more time then that."

"Friday?"

Seifer smiled sadly, "No sweetheart." He kissed her forehead.

Soon Lucina was curled onto her bed, asleep and Seifer was by Olette's side, running his fingers down his son's face worriedly. He wished they had a more experienced person on board with them for situations like this - like a doctor or something. He sighed, sitting down next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist. "It's not your fault Olette." He murmured softly. "We couldn't have predicted this."


Aqua smiled seeing the beautiful grin she got for ehr actions. She smiled when the silverette came closer, and blushed ever so lightly sat the kiss, kissing back happily.

"ah...." Aqua gasped softly, tilting her head back, smiling at Fuujin's attentions. "No... not anytime recently." She ran her fingers through silver hair, murmuring contently as the other continued to rain kisses on her. Heh, she needed to do cute romantic things like that more often.


Terra smiled as the other snuggled up to him, only chuckling softly at the other's answer to his question. Heh, how could he forget. his smile warmed further at the kiss. They laid there for awhile in silence and Terra looked up at the ceiling quietly.

But his heart dropped to his feet when the other shifted and started to speak again. His eyes moved to meet Ven's uncomfortably but quickly moved away, his eyes masked with shame and fear. It had been Right. THERE, glowing and taunting him, warm and powerful... He had wanted that energy so badly... like he was dying of thrist and if he didn't take it he wouldn't exist anymore. He had been changing lately... ever since he had turned he had been wanting things...

Mainly he'd been wanting energy - but most times the urge came up he thought of his mother, on her death bed, or Ven reaching out for him, eyes almost grey with all the energy Terra had taken and he snapped straight out of it. but today had been the first time it had ever felt so.. so strong. It was the first time he nearly lost control of himself. It was Ven that snapped him out of it that time, and... it was just pure, unrestricted fear of his own thoughts...

And Ven had noticed it. And that made him feel worse. He hated the thought of what he could be changed too... Ever since he had unleashed the creature within... he couldn't figure out how to stop it from coming back.

He hummed softly at the hand on his cheek, eyes locked with Ven's as he came close. When he felt the warm tongue he smirked, reached around to tangle a hand in blonde hair, bringing the other in a kiss, snaking out his own tongue to tangle with the other's.

When they pulled away he placed his forehead against Ven's. "I deny nothing." he mumbled softly. "Yeah I felt it. And it scares me alot thinking of what I could do." He smiled. "but... thats why I have you to knock some fucking sense into me huh?" He brought him into another kiss.


Roxas gasped slightly when he felt the pulsation of life and he looked at the keycvhain frantically. Sora seemed to of tensed as if he had felt it too. both looked at the keychain quietly... but it only died off again, and roxzas groaned unhappily sitting up. "Hey... you and Riku could take the bed if you want..."

Sora smiled faintly. "no... I can;t lfit Riku all the way up there." He joked. It was his kind was of declining. It would feel... WAY weird sleeping in the lovers' bed... especally knowing all the things DONE IN IT.

"Alright." Roxas said softly, curling his arms around Xio, lifting the lion. "good night."

"night." Sora murmured, watching his brother take to the stairs, Xio in his arms. The brunette frowned, before glancing at his husband, tugging off his shoes and placing them next to Riku's (who must of tugging them off during the card game). He smiled fondly and left the room, returned moments later with a warm blanket he had recovered from a nearby closet. He threw it over Riku and Invidia. He snatched up two pillows from the couch and quickly got under the covers as well snuggling up against Riku. He lifted the sleeping silverette's head softly, laying it out on one pillow, laying his own on the second.

In moments Sora was asleep, lying agaisnt the other a smile of contentment on his face, the little family looking completely in the warmth of the dying fire.


Upstairs a scene of complete opposite was happening. As if white was downstairs and black was upstairs.

Roxas tugging off his shoes kicking them in a disarray around the now clean room. He placed Xio at the foot of the bed before tugging off his jacket, throwing it onto the ground. He crawled onto his side of the bed, hands curling around the charm harshly, the cold edges biting into his hand.

He laid there quietly, almost able to imagine as lean arms embarced him from behind, brining him against a thin chest and soft kisses made of pure fire raining down the side of his face.

But no, there was nothign but empty coldness left for him. He turned around in his bed, drawing closer to Axel's side, inhaling the scent that the other had left of himself there. Roxas steretching out a hand, laying it across the indented pillow where the red-heads face should have been...

Tears began to rush down his cheeks and Roxas drew the cold charm close to his heart, sobbing. "Axel... Axel come back..." he pleaded brokenly, crying himself into sleep. It had only been one day...

...and already Roxas knew he'd never be complete without his pyro.


Rufus took the weapon quietly, laying it down across his chair. He ran his hands across the metal quietly. It didn;t hold the same sort of feeling any other weapon had. this one seemed to have an inner power... like magic was literally thrumming through it.

If this is what those four idiots had been after... then their had to be some sort of important to it. He silently cursed Hojo for dying. they needed someone to analyze this and no one had the expertise Gast or Hojo did these days. "when one if looking for something it is best to hide it in plain sight." Rufus mumbled softly. He glanced at Reno, the only of the Turks left alive that fought well with a close ranged weapon. "What do you say Reno? want to try wielding this strange looking sword?"

I just wanted to throw that out for fun he doesn't actually have to take it.
And wow there was as much love in this post as there was angst.

You know I just noticed something XD I've ended every role play we've started.

Ventus blinked as their foreheads touched but smiled. Already these soft touches were warming his newly opened heart. He listened and nodded slightly. At least his heart was open now... so he could give Terra all the help he can... he just hoped that the land keyblader wouldn't steal all his energy again...
"Alright fucktard... I'll see what I can do."


Xio whimpered as Roxas pull him up. It wasn't like he was little or light either... but Roxas seemed to have no problem. Axel always had a hard time lifting the fully grown fire lion... but that was probably because he was too skinny.

When he was place on the bed, he walked around in a circle before laying down and stretched out to take up most of the bottom for his own. It was a big bed, plenty large enough for three or maybe four people to sleep in it. His head lifted slightly though as he heard sniffling. He looked up and over to see Roxas crying in the dark. He whimpered once more before getting up and walking over. He nuzzled the man's arm and pushed under it so that Roxas was now cuddling him. Axel was gone... and Roxas needed warm.
"If something ever happens to me... maybe sure you watch over Roxas for me. Who knows how many lives I have left! Haha!"


Reno watched his boss touch the odd blade, then back up a bit as he was asked. "Ut..." He blinked, looking down at the blade. Rufus... wanted him to use it? He couldn't really refuse... even if he loved and knew his EMR for everything. Slowly he walked closer and leaned down, taking the weapon by the odd handle and pulled it up/ It sure was heavy... It was likely weigh him down.

He was about to swing it to see how it felt when it suddenly glowed. "Yo!" It glowed so much that it couldn't been seen and then... it was gone. His exotic green eyes widened again. SHIT! I made boss' blade disappear!
There was a crisp sound behind them, making the redhead look back at the mantle. There... the keyblade was mounted on the wall once more.

They looked at it in silence before Reno slowly shook his head. "Guess it don't like me."





When the Chasers awoke, it was like every other morning. Ventus took a shower, blasting his death metal. It was made sure that the bathroom in Terra and Ven's room was soundproof so other people could sleep.
Muffins and cereal was for breakfast and everyone was clothed and ready for another day. The only difference was the quiet gloom that ran over everyone's head.

Gunnar didn't look any better.

Before they entered connection one, Aqua and Fujin were dropped off at Dragoon on Connection 2 since Aqua wanted to check up on her brother. The Almasy family was then dropped off at the Disney Castle once they reached Connection 1. Ventus and Terra then headed to The Gardens where Vens' brothers were waiting.


Olette sighed as she looked down at her son in the medic bed. The best medics that they knew... had no idea what happened to the boy. They took a sample of the poison that he had on his leg and it was now going to the lab for diagnosis. She leaned over and rubbed his cheek softly. "Gunnar...?"

Slowly the brunette's eyes opened, the green glow looking up at her slowly. It was frightening seeing her son's eyes like this. She was so use to seeing the happy, bright light brown.
"How are you feeling?"
The boy just closed his eyes again, shaking his head.
It seemed like he even had a hard time talking anymore...


When Aqua and Fuu arrived in Dragoon, it was still nighttime. A red eye looked up, seeing a very full moon that was quite large. It was... really beautiful and shown brightly down on the small village. This was her first time down on her lover's world. The first time she saw where Aqua came from. It was a damn world... or region but it still had its warmth to it. Newly made brick roads found their away around the village and some carts were put to rest on the side of the streets and homes.

It wasn't anything like the developed Twilight Town she was from... but it... had a lot of character to it. She could hear the sound of the ocean and odd noises bouncing off the waves. That must of been the sound of the dragon that Aqua had told her about. She looked at the blue haired woman and smiled softly.

But the few minutes of peace stopped abruptly when there was a sudden scream far off. Fuu frowned, her chakrams forming in her hands as she looked at where the scream was coming from. Far up above a hill was a temple looking.... shine building. The screams were coming from there. "Come on!" The silverette called to Aqua as they quickly raced up towards the temple.

When they reached it, another scream sent shivers down their spine. Fuu burst through the temple doors, hearing the soft noise of wooden wind charms over the doors. The shrine was dark but the beautiful hand crafted wooden dragon could still be seen carved into the wooden walls. There were knee pillows around for people to pray and an open water base for possibly some other sort of prayer.

She could see how much this place honored water... and now really understood where Aqua got her foundation. Aqua had once explained that everyone in her realm was named after water... except for Sai. That was what also made him stick out to everyone when they were growing up.

Before she could calm, another scream, now very loud since they were inside came from the room on the left. A glow flickered from under the door. It was possible that candles were lit? What the hell was going on in there!? Aqua never said anything about human sacrifices... but that's what it sounded like!

Without warning, the silverette rushed to the doors and slammed the two open. Her red eye widened when she saw what was going on.

Claws sunk into the wooden floor, ripping it up slightly. Blue hair was frizzled and wild around a pasty neck. Fangs bared, saliva dripping off them like a ferocious beast. Glowing yellow eyes narrowed in hunger as saliva dripped to the floor. A large snarl came from the beast as he looked over bare.... curled feet.

Fujin's face dropped as she looked at the scene, seeing a pair of bare legs pull ankles from the beast shoulder. Trembling feet touched the wood as the other form under the beast shifted. Soft panting could be heard before the beast growled again. Then there was a sudden tug at the beast neck... where a collar was. It seemed to make the beast calm a bit as blonde hair was soon exposed below his fangs.

Ven yawned as they slowly walked down the lively streets of Radiant. They soon turned a corner, heading down where blue rocks started to appear. This was Delshad Garden. They walked down the rock way, seeing different people bustle around. It was quaint and only a little less quiet than Radiant.

When they reached a familiar little home, they walked up to the door and knocked. There was a yip from inside and then some movement. The door slowly opened and bright blue eyes looked out at them, a large smile greeting them.
Ven could only snicker. "Hey... long time no see huh?"

Xio poked his head between Sora's legs to look at the guest, yipping a bit, knowing that the blonde was Roxas's and Sora's brother.

[Reno]

"Yeah you better jackass." Terra murmured with a smile. He dragged the blonde down beside him, bringing him close. "Night."

He was still... worried buthe had Ven at his side so he was going to be okay... Ven wouldn't let anything happen to him. And he;d never let anything happen to him either...


Roxas continued to sob until he felt the touch of soft fur against his arm. He sniffled. looking down and lifted his arm. Xio came forward, laying against his side. The blonde curled his arms around the ppoor little lion, cuddled agaisnt him. "We'll find him..." He said in a choked voice, sounding almost as if he didn;t believe himself.

"We have to..."


Rufus watched Reno quietly as he did as he was told, blinking curiously as the blade started to glow. His eyes narrowed seeing the blade disappear. He looked up at the clinking as it settled back into place... on the display.

"Mmm... apparently these things are picky." Rufus mumbled. He;d never heard of a weapon like that before...


Lucina pouted, one hand wrapped around Donald's feathery one, the other held above her head, curled in Goofy's. The duck and duck had been set out to 'protect her'. which really meant entertain her... which meant play with her!

"Can we play tag?" She asked. "Or hide and go seek?" It wouldn't be as fun with Gunnar - he could get in the smallest of spaces! But... it would still be fun.

Donald's eye twitched. He was a mage! Not a... babysitter. He had had enough with his nephews... and Sora. He looked at Goofy who actually seemed excited about this. Oh joy.


Seifer sighed, standing beside Olette, rubbing her shoulders comfortingly. He couldn't believe they didn't know what was wrong with him...

He blinked tiredly. Neither he nor Olette had gotten much to any sleep and it was really beginning to drain on him. But he didn;t want to fall asleep too worry about his son to even really think about it.


It was an argicultural region - nothing but rolling fields and braying shee, mooing cows, neighing horses... but in the dead of the night everything was silent the only noise being the sound of the ocean and the occasional sound of Regole in the distance. She was a dragon that was usually active during the night, the moon giving her extra strength.

Aqua looked towards the ocean, smiling at the form she could see jumping uo and down in the ocean. She felt eyes on her and turned her head, smiling back at Fuujin. They were both illuminated by the large moon, their shadows spreading across the sound. She could kis-

A loud scream drew both their attentions, striking fear into their eharts. what was THAT?! Fuujin recovered first, running forward and her yell snapped Aqua out of it. She ran after the other woman, keyblade snapping into her hand.

their footsteps echoed loudly in the shrine. Somewhere far off, probably hidden away behind one of the doors, the sound of splashing water could be heard - possibly a fountain or a pond.

Another scream made Aqua shake nervously, letting her lover lead. Her heart was panicked. This was where Sai and Dem-

Those weren;t screams of pain were they?

Aqua slid to a halt, opening her mouth to halt the other. But it was too late - and the double doors opened to reveal more of her brother and his lover then she ever wanted to see.

The blonde underneath the beast was gasping lightly, hidden behind the kimono. But at the sound of the doors opened he knew someone was inside... and uh... watching. He blushed, his legs slipping down, reaching up to tug at the blue-haired man's collar, chuckling.

She coughed, walking forward. She coughed nervously. "Um yeah we'll just... leave you guys too it." She grabbed the doors, shutting them quickly, her face redder then a tomato. She glanced at Fuujin and giggled. "Shoulda known Demyx was a screamer."


Sora grinned even brighter as he saw his brother. "Yep! Twenty hours is a real long time!" He teased, reaching over to hug him. "You look better... lots better!!" He glanced over his brother's shoulder at Terra, grinning. "both of you."

They really did appear different. He could practically see their hearts glowing now. And there was... something else..."Whoa Terra what happened to your eye?"

"Long... story." Terra explained, waving it off.

"do I get to hug you now?" Sora asked.

"No."

Sora laughed, but led the two inside. Riku and Roxas were playing another card game it seemed... and Riku seemed to be losing.

"How's Gunnar doing?" Sora asked quietly, glancing at the two.

Goofy blinked as he looked down at the two. "Gwarsh! That sure sounds like fun, huh Donald?" The dog looked at the duck who didn't seem all that happy. The dog shot him an angry glare and kicked him in the butt. He then slowly let go of Luci's hand and walked around a bit in the court yard.

"Well golly, I don't think I can hide round here... so I'll be it and you guy hide!" He announced happily before chuckling. He slowly put his hands over his face and started to count.


There were sounds of little feet coming into the medic room.
Olette looked back to see a familiar.... woman? "Oh Minnie..." She smiled the best she could.
The little mouse nodded and walked over to the boy, looking up at him.
"The test results haven't come back... but... I did get an idea."

Olette's face brightened as she leaned down. "Really!? Please, is there any way we can help?"
"Actually... there is! Please call Sora for me."
Olette blinked as she stood back straight. She didn't know Sora's number... but she knew someone else. She took out her cell and started to dial.



Fuu was pulled away from the scene and the door closed. Her face was almost as red as her lovers. Her chakrams disappeared as she covered her face and shook her head. "Ugh... not again..."

In the next room, a hand was placed on the beast's 'X' and glowing yellow eyes slowly started to turn normal golden. Blue hair calmed and claws and fangs started to retreat. Slowly Sai pulled away and panted slightly, sitting on the ground. He heard shifted outside and frowned. "We have company...?"


Riku growled as he looked at his hand then looked at the cards below. "OH COME ON! What happened huh? Luxord told you every trick in the book huh?" His aquamarine eyes looked up as he heard footsteps coming into the room. He smiled slightly as Sora, Terra and Ventus walked in.

The blonde shook his head. "They still don't know what's wrong with him..." When they reached the room, his blue eyes looked down at Roxas, seeing how red his eyes were. "Hey..." He was about to ask how his brother was doing before he heard a deathly cute jingle and his pants started to vibrate. He pulled out his phone and snapped it opening, placing it at his ear.
"Ventus speaking..."

He heard some voice and nodded, handing the phone over to Sora. "Olette said that Queen Minnie wants to talk to you."

When Sora took the phone, Olette handed the phone down to the queen.
"Hello Sora..." The little mouse started. "I'll need you to go to Olympus for me. Since so many people from all the worlds go there... perhaps someone has seen this virus before."

[Reno]

The duck quacked in protest, rubbing his feathered bum, glared at the dog. He was lucky they were in the presence of Luci or he woulda shocked him good!

"Yay!" Lucina cried. "hide!" She let go of donald's feathered hand and pattered away, hiding behind a bush that was shaped like... Mickey Mouse.

She sat down, placing both hands over her mouth to hide her giggles.

Donald sighed, wobbling away and hide 'behind' a tree. it didn;t hide him very well, the wlbows of his crossed arms showing, but he thought he'd humor them both anyways.


Seifer looked up, blinking as he saw the mouse. He still thought it was real odd two mice practically ran the whole universe. He knew the saying 'big things come in small pakcages' but this was taking it a little far.

He wondered what would happen if they accidently stumbled upon a world ruled by cats....

He blinked however when he heard that Minnie had an idea and like Olette his face brighted. his hand curled around his son;s eyes hopeful, but blinked when she asked for... Sora?

Well... he WAS the keyblade master nad he;d worked miracles before...


Aqua giggled, taking her lover's arm and leading her away, over towards the pool, sitting down beside it. She brought fuujin down into her lap. "Ah~ you just have bad timing." she nuzzled her neck.

Demyx grinned, his face still flushed and murmured breathlessly. "Yep we do. And it sounded like you sister too." he chuckled. "Hope we didn;t tramitize her."


"Yep." Roxas said simply. "He was a card shark ya know." He shrugged. It wasn;t like there had been anything better to do between missions anyways - especally when Axel was out on one of his own. Then it went from being boring to just... DEATH. It was between Luxord and his card games or Demyx and his crazy... singing. It didn't take a genius to figure out which one he'd choose.

His eyes rasied when he saw Riku look away, seeing his blonde identical twin and ... lover? yeah that worked. He smiled but it was weak. He;d lost a lot of his luster without his lover nearby, and it wasn;t doing well for him.

Terra looked at Roxas, and blinked. It as almost... startling. He always knew the two blondes looked alike - but he;d always seen them like a mirrior. On one side was Roxas, happy, in love, smiling easily, and on the other was Ventus unhappy, sad and with a heart black and cold as ice. Now it was almost like... they had switched. It was... sorta freaky.

Everyone however looked at Ven at the tune and blinked. Happy music?

Sora chuckled faintly. He wondered how Ven stood it - practically all the music that returned to him was something happy. Roxas' ringtone was probably the only one the death metal obsessed-man could handle without wanting to shoot himself.

He blinked however when the phone was handed to him. "Oh okay." He said to his twin's explantion, raising the phone to his ear. "Hello? Hi Queen Minnie!" He said cheerfully. He fell silent again, then blinked. "The coliseum? Yeah I can do that no problem." He grinned, putting some hope in his voice. "I'm sure someone's gotta know something about it!"

Goofy counted to thirty before he opened his eyes. "Here I come!" He called out happily before he looked around. He could EASILY see Donald and laughed goofy. "Gawrsh, where'd everybody go?" He walked around slowly, looking around and under things before he walked to the Mickey Mouse bush. He looked around it and then under, seeing a little girl.

"I found Lucina!" He cried happily and helped her come out from under. He patted her on the head then looked around. He pointed at the tree where it was easy to see Donald. "Shhh" He leaned down and put his finger over his lips. He then chuckled as they tip-toed to the tree. "Shucks... wonder where Donald is. He's hiddin pretty well."


Fuu smiled as she was taken to the small rock pond and was brought down on her lover's lap. She smiled softly and leaned into Aqua as she felt the kisses on her neck. It was really peaceful here... with just the sound of the water and the moon shining in on them...
She couldn't say much. It was their house and it was nighttime... and it was was in their room.... and the door was closed. She couldn't yell at them... maybe to put a lock on the door... if anyone heard Demyx.... screaming, someone else might mistake it as him getting... hurt.

She smiled sightly as she looked up at the large moon. It was the same moon her lover use to look at when she was growing up. She wondered... what her life would of been like without Aqua... if her and Seifer were still on Twilight Town keeping the peace. Would she be happy like this...? Probably not. Maybe Riku's Darkness brought some light into her life. If Twilight town was never engulfed, she would of never met Aqua.

She looked up, smiling at the blue haired woman and pulled her hand around the other's neck, making her come close. She planted a soft kiss on the other woman's lips and them tried to make it passionate before she heard doors open. Her red eye opened and looked towards where the light was coming from.

Out stepped a tall man with a lovely robe on. The collar was no longer around his neck and there was no sign of the monster she had just seen. His blue hair was the same length as she remembered and his golden eyes seemed much more calmer than before. He walked over slightly, his pasty cheeks had a little bit of blush to them. "Sorry about that..." Still the same deep, monotone voice.

Fujin had to wonder... if Demyx was so afraid of fighting... how could he possibly make love to Sai in his Berserker form...?



Ventus could deal with everyone else around him liking bad music... at least he only had to hear it for less than a minute. He took the phone from his brother as he ended the call and frowned. She wanted them to go to the colosseum? They were in the middle of a mission... He tilted his head and thought. This was for Gunnar's health though... and that was what mattered most. He was a Chaser himself... and they needed to protect their group.

He looked down at Riku and Roxas. "Well... you guys gonna sit there all day??"

Riku blinked and quickly stood, getting on his shoes and putted away the cards. At least he didn't have to deal with Roxas putting his losing streak in his face now. Hopefully when they went to Olympus, Sora wouldn't try and get into battles for fun. They had a job to do too.

They quickly gathered some clothes and such for the trip. No one knew where Axel could be if he was somewhere in the universe. Riku had to frown.... it could take years to find Axel... Then again, no one knew EXACTLY what happened to the pyro. For all they knew, he could of been in the Realm of Darkness as a free soul or something. Roxas did mention that he heard in his dream Axel said something about disappearing.

When they were all ready, they left the house and walked to Radiant's ship port. Before they left, Ventus and Terra took a detour to a local shop... and bought a bed? The three looked at each other and shrugged. Better not to ask...
When they boarded the ship, it was Sora who was hard to handle. He had never been on the Chaser's new base and wanted to look at EVERYTHING.

It didn't take long for the large airship to get to Olympus... which now seemed bigger. Since the Connection was opened, more and more people came from all over and the air port was pretty full. They got off and walked towards the colosseum, hearing cheering and such from inside. Hopefully they could find someone who recognized this virus Gunnar was suffering from... and how to treat it.

Donald rolled his eyes hearing Goofy. Well at least one of them had the temperment to amuse kids... He shut his eyes, relaxing, waiting for himself to be found.

Lucina pouted when Goofy found her, falling to his side like a chick to it;s hen. Now all they had to do was - Goofy pointed out Donald to her and she grinned, nodding the his motion. they began to walk forward quietly.

Step... step... step...

Donald opened his eyes when everything became... quiet? There was a crunch of grass and Donald tensed then-

"FOUND YA!" Lucina cried, jumping forward and latching onto one of the duck's arms.

"WAH!" Donald squacked in surprise.

"Your not very good at hiding are you mr. duckie?"

Donald pouted. "Sure... we'll go with that."


Aqua was just exploring the other's neck with her lips happily when Fuujin made a move and they were suddenly kissing. The blue-haired woman made a purr of interest.

She honestly didn't know where SHE'D be without Fuujin. she had a feeling... without the other woman she wouldn't have been strong enough to open up her heart. She owed the silverette a lot... probably a LOT more then the other owed her.

But relationships weren;t measured by how much you do for the other. They were measured by the feelings transferred through them.

They didn't get far into their kissing however, because the door behind them opened. She looked back, grinning up at her brother as he came over. She chuckled at the blush. "ne, not a big deal."

There was a happy patter of feet and then a cheerful blonde was at Sai's side, wide grin in place. How he could even WALK was a mystery she'd never ask. Demyx had on some blues pj's with pictures of music notes on them.

He grinned at the two, not ashamed in the least. In fact he seemed as if he found the whole thing hilarious. And how he could brave Saix's beserker form? Well... that was another mystery that would probably never be asked.

"Hiya! what brings you two to our neck of the universe?" Demyx asked.

"mmm, visiting." Aqua answered. Was he always this... perky? well she didn't really have to ask that. He was like Sora except... not as smart. And... acted more like he was on speed or something...


Terra sighed. "We're just flying all over the place today." But Gunnar did hold pririty over Axel at this point. Hell, at least they knew where the coliseum WAS. They didn;t even know if the spunky red-head was truly alive!

Roxas smirked a bit, seeing Riku's enthralled look. He finally got sick of losing huh? He stretched out, nodding to Ven's words and walked upstairs to get some stuff ready. This was going to be a long trip....

When Roxas was ready he made sure to snap the Bond of Flames keychain onto his belt. It swung side to side, whenever he walked but for the most part was unnoticable.

Sora glanced at Riku, feeling the waves of negativity running off of him whenever he looked at Roxas. He sort of guessed what the other was thinking about. He pushed one of Riku;s shoulders, playfully stating, "optimism!"

By the time they got back to the ship - bed and pets and all - Sora was... yes very excited. Lots of 'ooooh what does this button do's and many 'this is neat's!

Terra couldn't help but say, "How the fuck does he teach kids when he can't een act older then them? what is it? Mickey;s playhouse 24/7?"

Sora, hearing this, pouted and said, "It's FIRST grade. it;s SUPPOSED to be fun." There was a pause, then a great big grin came over his face. "And I FINALLY get to end The Wind and the Lone Wolf's story happily!!"

Terra groaned, shaking his head and complained. "Ven your brother scares me."

"Terra needs a hug!" Sora called, already dashing for the kitchen.

No one ever gave him a hug, scared away by his threatening growls. Stiiiingy.


Sora walked across the ground of the coliseum floor happily. the last time he had seen it... well he had nearly died here but that wasn't the point. He looked around, hearing the sounds of a fight. "Oooooh can we-"

"No." Roxas was the one to chastise, hitting him over the head as if he were punishing a puppy. "We aren't here for fun."

Sora pouted but nodded. Well, he hadn't been in a real fgight for awhile! no one could blame him if he wanted to have some fun,even if he DID nearly die before... (Someone would later comment on how Sora never did seen to learn his lesson). "Okay!" He nodded, then glanced towards Ven and Terra. "Um, remind me again what this virus thing looked like?" When Ven had explained it he had been real brief about it. And there wouldnl;t be a point in asking questions if none of them knew what they were asking for.

Once he got the complete overview again, this time in more detail, Sora nodded. "Okay got it!" He grinned, before hurring off towards the coliseum where all the people were - and just causually dropped into conversations and asked questions. He was in luck because the fight in the ring seemed to have just finished, and it was easier to catch peoples attentions. How the brunette could do such a thing - especally with many who seemed to be strangers - was something yet to be understood.

Sai rolled his eyes a bit, hearing how chipper Demyx was next to him. He moved his hand, his long nails following. "This is Aqua's home world... remember? Doesn't need much of a reason to be here."

It seemed Saix was back to his old self again... but Fuu could see the connection between them. It was in their eyes.
The silverette stood and smiled, looking around. "This temple is pretty nice... you must take very good care of it."

Saix nodded slowly. "Mhmm... it gives Demyx something to do with his water majick..." He grinned at the blonde before looking at Aqua. "So... sis, how are things and the other Chasers?"



Ventus could only laugh as he watched Sora running around the kitchen after Terra. He knew his brother would catch the land keyblader at some point in their life.

When they reached inside colosseum, the five looked around. There were a lot of people here... and that was a good and bad thing. Good because SOMEONE must of been from the world of Midgar and bad because there were just.... so many of them. "I guess we can split up..." Riku started

So they did.
Riku went with Sora and Roxas, Xio and Vi. Terra and Ventus went another way. Of course Ven and Terra weren't as friendly as Sora when it came to people... but they were able to talk to the ones watching the fight and the others were to talk to the ones fighting.

Riku, Sora, Roxas and the pets walked into the back where the fighters were. It must of been another match since many people were back there... all in their own little section with their coaches or just alone. The silverette looked around, seeing some familiar faces such as Leon, Yuffie, and some others. They didn't bother asking them.... since they already knew they lived on Radiant... but then Riku pointed out that Radiant was still a bit like Traverse itself... many people from all over lived in Radiant.

Riku walked over to Leon and poked his shoulder. The tall brunette blinked and looked back, smiling slightly as he saw the group. "Ah... Sora... Riku..." He then looked at Roxas and frowned a bit. "Roxas..." It seemed like something was up with the blonde... where was Axel? "Is there something I can help you with?"

Riku nodded. "The Queen sent us here to see if anyone recognizes an odd virus. It's green and it makes eyes turn green too. They glow and have a cat-like feature to them. Sound like anything you've seen?"
The brunette stopped and thought, shaking his head. "Sorry... I haven't even heard of anything like that before."
