Up, Up, and Away

No, but his mother sure had loved chocolate those nine tortorous monthes.

Sora grinned at the comment about Mickey - yeah face to face like that actually could happen. Riku would need to shrink. but the plus side was they would get to talk about their upcoming wedding too.

His face fell a little at Riku's question and he looked down. "I... I think so. I just... I feel upset at myself. I forced myself to forget someone really important to me when I was younger and now I feel like Ven paid for what I did." He bowed his head. "I feel like an idiot really."


Terra blinked, then his eyes narrowed. "Oh thats right your too much of an idiot to make any decisions huh fucktard?"

Aqua rolled her eyes. There they went again. "Oi, asses shut up."

Riku stood and looked down at his lover. "Don't feel like it's your fault Sora... something went wrong with your memories when you lost him. Perhaps it was really your parent's fault for not reminding you that you had a brother. It would of been hard on them and you... but at least you wouldn't forget. It seems like your mother tried to forget about Ven too... because it was too hard to accept."

He frowned... looking down. What if he had a child and then lost it... would he do the same? No... he couldn't forget something like that... or even try to.
"You know how people can be Sora... don't blame it on anything. I'm sure you're just lucky to know that your imaginary friend wasn't imaginary after all... and that we still had a good childhood together. It might sound awful... but maybe if you and Ven didn't split up... we might not of been the friends we became... you would of played with your brother more right? I suppose we might not even been getting married in..."

He looked down at his watch and smiled. "Three more days."
So... it really was true. Riku was the only child born on Destiny Island.


Ven grinned as he got a familiar voice thrown at him. "Yea, that's right. I don't have a big head unlike someone. You can tell with that fucking huge forehead of yours." He grinned more as he poked Terra's forehead, exposed from his hairstyle.

Terra's eyes twitched. "What was that, big feet?!" He growled, roughly fluffing his hair.

Aqua burst into laughter.


Sora shut his eyes, smiling and then he threw his arms around the other, hugging him close. He chuckled. "i dunno Ri... how life would have been had things of been different but..." he chuckled, shaking his head. "I still think I woulda fell for you."

He pulled away. "come on we have a little trip to make." He picked up the chipmunks, before taking Riku's hand in his, leading him off towards the room.

He blinked as he walked in, seeing Ven and Terra bickering while aqua laughed at them. He chuckled. "Well - you can really feel the love in this room." the three heads turned towards him and he grinned. "time to go."



"Argh!" Sora slammed the door to the medic room behind him, making the nurses scurry about on the other side, a ltitle panicked. He looked towards the bed seeing that Ven was, strangely, all alone. It was an odd sight because ever since he had been treated then placed here Terra had refused to leave the boy's side - he bet Aqua had convinced him to get some freash air and to stop him from anatagonizing his twin. That woman knew how to cionvince and coax people into anything.

"Hey." He said to his brother, his eyes narrowed with misheld anger. forty-eight hours had passed since Ven had gotten here - and there was only twnety-four before his wedding.

If there was a wedding at this point. He and Riku were fighting. Seriously. for the first time in a damn long time. He really didn;t know how to handle it anymore at this point. Sure theyld had their ltitle disagreements over the past few years togeter but nothing that wouldn;t blow over in a few hours.

He was pretty sure this wouldn;t.

It had basically started out as a simple question. 'so who's walking down the aisle?' Mickey had inquired. That's where it had begun. Then it grew into Riku mtutering something about Sora being the one who should do it. sora demandesd to know why and riku teased him saying how 'cute' he;d look in a frilly dress. Sora was scandilzed and started to yell at the other - there wasn;t going to be a dress of course they were dressing in tuxes but still the slight jab had made him angry. He hadn;t liked being treated like the girl. He was certainly sick of it by now.

So then he snapped back saying soemthing about how riku was more girly thern him because of all his goddamned fememine hair and Riku had gotten pissed back. That had been only a few hours after getting Ven to the medical ward. they had stormed off from each other.

A few hours later Sora went searching for Riku, apologizing. He knew the other was under tensity due to the darkness that had filled him during their fight. It wasn;t his fault he was so angry. they were both just dealing with a lot of shit.

But today - not twenty minutes ago, they fought again. This time about the date. Sora had asked about maybe moving the date. He wanted Roxas and Axel to be able to attend becase they were close to him. Then he had said he wanted Ven to come too.

Riku had stated soemthing about how he shouldn;t push back an improtant date for them for someone he hadn;t know for more then two days.

Sora had lost it and slugged Riku, storming off. He knew he shouldn;t of but he DID. He had just... been angry. He knew this wasnl;t like Riku - that he needed time to calm down and give time for the darkness to lessen within him but...

Sora sighed, already feeling guilty as he walked over, looking out the window before smiling at his brother, who had been bedridden - and hating it - since he got here. "Heya Ven. How you doing?" He was attempting to push all thoughts of riku from his mind for now. He needed to cool down and so did he. they were angry at each other but they'd work it out. They'd have too.

Ven grinned as he got his hair ruffled. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with big feet! You should know that by now" He said wickedly as he winked.

Riku blinked, smiling and shaking his head. "Oh yea? Is that so? I wish I could see a 'what if' version of our life and see if that's true." He leaned over and kissed the other's cheek before he was led to the room with the others.


When they reached the castle, Queen Minnie and King Mickey were a bit surprised about what they were doing there. They hadn't wanted the two to see the castle while they were getting ready for things. That... was a bit to late though.
Mickey was also surprised seeing that Sora and his crew bumped into the Chasers. He was also shocked about what had happened with Riku and Ven... for he did actually see the whole fight on Raktas.

Unfortunately... this worried the King more and more. If Riku hadn't gone down the current path he was on... he'd probably be no better than Xehanort, Xemnes or... well... as for Ansem.... As he was growing older, Riku's Darkness was becoming stronger...

Ven was transfered upstairs to the medics, getting the best care possible. They removed all of Ven's dead skin, making the boy scream and cry in pain. They then had to wrap a special fiber around his arm, as a 'new' skin. When his skin started to grow, the fibers would act as a safe hold. At least he had Terra there with him... throughout the whole thing. Aqua nor the others could stomach the pain that the blonde had to go through.

A day passed where Ventus didn't wake up. IVs were put into him and lotions were placed on his arm every hour. Aqua had come in a few times, making sure Ven and Terra were ok.
Today, Ventus woke up feeling a bit better. He still couldn't move his arm and probably wouldn't be able to for awhile. One of the medics also told him that his nerve endings had been destroyed... so he wouldn't be able to feel much of his arm for the rest of his life.
That was tough news. It was even more tough knowing that his brother had caused this... but it was also his fault... after all.

The blonde looked out the window, down at the courtyard, seeing the odd shapes in the bushes. This place was really beautiful... it was quite a place to have a wedding. He was alone for a good two hours... and wasn't liking it very much. Being alone and being cold were Ven's worse fears.
He blinked though as the door... slammed open, the nurses around fluttering like bugs. At first he thought it was Terra of course, but quickly saw the brunette.

A frown ran over his face as he noticed that there was something wrong. He watched Sora come closer and look out the window as well, then the question. "Fuc--- Dandy..." He caught himself. He promised himself not to swear except for around Terra and Aqua... since they were so use to it, they would think there was something wrong with him if he didn't. "I don't see why I have to stay in bed... it's not like my foot it burnt. It's just my arm."

The door suddenly opened again... but it wasn't an angry slam. Ven looked up, wondering if that was Terra... no such luck... but the new.... thing caught his eye. A... dog?

"Sora!" A familiar voice came from a happy looking knight.
Goofy walked over to the two and gave Sora a sudden huge hug. "Gwarsh! I haven't seen you for awhile! Me and Donald were missing you badly!" He looked at Ventus and waved. "Hey there, I'm Goofy!"

"Goofy?" Ven repeated as he looked at the dog. "I'm Ventus."
"Ventus is it? Well nice to meet ya!" The dog smiled, holding out his arm. Ven smiled softly and reached out with his good hand, shaking the other's.


In the thrown room, the place wasn't so empty anymore. It was set up beautifully with roses and lace, banners and a row of tables of white. The red carpet was still running down the middle, all the way up to the two chairs. A man lounged in one, his eyes dark. He had a nice bruise on his cheek... but it would go away.

Not taking notice, a small amount of Darkness wisped under the chair.
No... Riku wasn't ready to trust Ven and his gang. Unlike Sora, Riku (or anyone in that manner) wasn't so quick to forgive. Sora should of known this so much... and the slug in the face set him off. It was very unlike Sora to do such a thing.

There was exactly twenty three hours left until the wedding. Many things still had to be done. A discussed look ran over Riku's face as he thought more. At one point he was ready to say fuck the whole thing... be he couldn't do that. He wouldn't do that.
The twilight necklace didn't glow very much as he heard small foorsteps.
His dark eyes moved up, seeing a very small, dainty figure come walking down the throne in a pink dress.

Minnie smiled as she walked towards Riku. She wasn't all to fond of him sitting in the chair... seeing that... well... you know.
"Riku." Her little voice chirped with a sense of pride behind it. "What's wrong?"
Riku frowned and sat up properly, slowly standing. He looked down at her and sighed, closing his eyes.
"Have the wedding postponed..."

She blinked, looking a bit started. "Oh but why?"
"Because Sora wants to invite the whole universe and it can't come by tomorrow." He said bitterly as he walked passed her.
Minnie frowned as she silently watched Riku walk down the throne room, hands in his jean pockets.
She shook her head and slowly watched the floor open and a bright light appeared below her. She picked up her dress a bit as she walked down the stairs.

"Mickey..." She called as she saw a mousey figure in front of the stone. "Mickey... I think you should talk to Riku..."

Sora had felt... incredibly guilty when he found out that he was the cause of the near paralization of ven's arms - almost to the point of being unhealable. Even though each time he kept aplogizing ven continued to say it wasn;t a big dela and it wasn't his fault - he knew his brother was stretching the truth a bit. It bothered his brother a lot more than he wanted to admit...

He felt even worse since he couldnlt stay in the room with him - the screaming had made him all pale and shaky. At least thats what Riku said which was why he had taken him from the room. He apparently didn't deal well with people hurt - especally whern he was the cause of it. Maybe that was another reason he was so damn tense.

He grinned as his brother cuaght himself for cussing. He thought it was dman considerate of him considering Terra and Aqua held no qualms about it. "Well I can fight the nurses about it if you want." he joked, know the horrible feeling of being stuck in bed and unable to move around. It was just horrid. He usually snuck out by gliding out his window. that had gotten him plenty of lectures from donald when he was younger.

What? He HATED hospitals. and all those god damned needles.

His head turned as the door opened - afraid riku had follwoed him, but then a grin split his face wide. "Goofy!!" He hugged the other jovially back, laughing. "missed you too!"

He chuckled as the friendly dog went about meeting Ventus as if it was the most normal thing in the world just as he heard the slapping of familar feet on the floor. He turned, not surprised at all to see the next newcomer. "Hey Donald!"

The duck smiled at him, walking over. "Hey Sora. Heard you and Riku had a fight." That was an udnerstatement. the whole KINGDOM pratically ehard the two yelling at each other. sora got real emotional sometimes - he knew that well. He had fought with sora more times then he could count but it all blow over. sora didn;t know how to hold a grudge to save his life.

"Pff, that's nothing new. did you also hear i have a long-lost brother named Ventus?" He indicated his bedridden brother with a wide grin, trying to stay away from the topic of his fiancee. He didn't want to talk about it.

Donald chuckled, looking towards Ven. "I did. But somehow that doesn't surprise me as much. It just makes me ssad to know you're getting in all these akward situations with me and Goofy with you." He nodded to the other. "The name;s donald, nice to meet cha Ven."

Sora laughed. He had to admit they DID get in alot of weird situations together. Probably an endless amount...

It seemed... strangely the farther he distanced himself from riku, the better and more normal he felt - as if he could be his old self again. He knew he and riku fighting was bad... but was it ever quite like this?


Mickey turned to look at his wife, smiling faintly. "Yeah I had a feeling you'd say that." He saighed, his ears drooping a bit. He had ehard the yelling too - his mouse ears had picked it up quite well. but he didn;t want to interfre. At leats not right in the middle of it.

He smiled walking over to Minnie, rubbing noses with her. "I'll do my best." he said cheerfully, walking up the stairs.

It wasn;t hard to find Riku, no matter how fast he moved. He follwoed the other quietly, waiting until riku led him to a more secluded area of the castle before daring to approach. the hallway, barely used and for the most part completely barren, Mickey stepped up beside Riku. "So, are you just going to stay mad at him?" He asked slowly, not needed to ask the other questions most people did. The 'Hi are you alright' or the 'what happened?' He knew the jist of it and that was enough. He feared though that he kenw exactly what was going on. If he was correct - then Sora's odd, almost out of character behavoir could only lie in the fact that Riku was not himself so Sora couldn't be himself.

He knew there would be dangers to intertwining not only the heart through paopu but also splitting a soul. It seemed if Riku was unbalanced, Sora would find it hard to keep his own self balanced.

Mickey glanced up at the bruise, frowning a bit. Sora was never that violent and Riku wasn't ever this mean-spirited. this couldn;t of happened at a worse time.

Ven didn't blame anyone for his arm accident. Like they all saw, Ventus seemed like he wanted to be hurt... and quite honestly, they weren't very far from the truth. He knew he was fighting his brother... and his heart was too darkened to care. He figured... if he got too badly hurt... he would be forced to stop. He just wasn't expecting that it would effect him for the rest of his life.

It was a good thing that he made sure his weaker arm was used instead of his stronger one... how could he be able to punch Terra!?

He looked down at the duck, smiling and waving slightly. "Hey." He smiled more, remembering all the odd friends he made awhiles back... like Bambi, and Thumper and Flower and then there were the 7 dwarfs. Oh! And how could he forget Gusgus and Jaq... and that mean old cat Lucifer!?
It seemed like Sora too had a handful of friends.

He frowned though, not taking notice of the yelling. Sora and Riku were fighting? But weren't they getting married tomorrow? That was no good news... but oddly, deep in his heart, he was uncertain if his brother was making the right choice by getting hitched with that man.
He might of seemed caring and protective of his brother... but Ventus could sense the pure evil in him...


Minnie smiled as their noses rubbed. He watched as her King walked up the stairs and slowly shook her head. She too knew of the Darkness in Riku and was worried. Mickey always talked so highly of him...


Riku knew his old friend was following him. When they were in the hallway, he felt the much smaller creature next to him. He grinned at the question. "That's a bit of a childish question, don't you think?" He asked bitterly as he continued to walk with his hands in his pockets.

He suddenly stopped, his silver hair pausing on his back.
"This Darkness is never going to go away... is it?" He asked softly. His eyes moved down to his friend. "You split our soul 5 years ago... and I've been going threw dangerous mood swings. Some months I feel as light and joyful as Sora... and other months..." He looked down. "He has half of my Light... my Dark heart is more overpowering than ever."

He pulled his hand up and took the moon necklace in his palm. It wasn't shining like it use to. "Am I losing my Twilight...? You... You're the keyblader of Darkness... can you tell me... if this wedding is even a good idea. I mean... I'm starting not to even trust myself anymore again..."

Sora - had he of known, would have been thrilled to know Ven knew bambi. that would be somehting they had in common. bambi had always been there when he needed a bit of health and was fun to watch the deer as he pranced. He would way day be the king of a forest - in fact he probably was now.

Donald smiled at Ven, then glanced at sora. "You sure you're alright?"

"Huh? Oh yeah i'm rgeat. don;t worry we do this all the time." sora reassured. "It'll blow over soon i just need to go find him and aologize." he laughed a bit. "i kinda decked him so i guess he;s gonna be wearing concealer for our wedding."

"so it;s still happening tommorrow?"

"i... I don;t know." He murmured. "i was kinda... getting my heart set up for it to be something speacial you know? somethings where all our friends could be there with us and stuff and... damn it;s no wonder he called me a girl." Sora laughed. He sounded just like a bride! "Maybe i should walk down the aisle in a dress." he joked.

He was a little concerned though. every time he was closer to riku he felt... different. almost as if... and this scared him but it almost felt he was falling.


Mickey didn;t comment on the other's remark. he was forced to stop when the other did, lifting his ehad to regard his longtime friend. He was silent, contemplating his answer before answer slowly. "Welp Riku, the wedding is not what really is a concerning don;t you think?" He looked up at the other. "That is just a union of you and Sora and your love. It shouldn;t have any effect on what is happening to you... or what is happening to him."

He looked away. "I told you that it would be risky didn;t I?" He murmured. "That it could get overpowering to share your soul. i know you did it out of love - and I must be honest, that is what has gotten you two this far it is what the magic was formed with and what it is still bound by. As long as that is still strong, you should be able to get through this - but you must believe in yourself. I can't predict what the repercussions were to be if you fell for a second time."

Or well, the things he was predicting were not things he wished to discuss or even imagine. He was not being ignorant he was just being wise.

Vetus blinked, hearing that his brother had... decked Riku. Was that even possible!? He didn't thing anyone could lay a finger on Riku that way... but again... Sora did know Riku... for all his life... well... since he landed on Destiny Island.

Again... he didn't know his twin very well... since he only really spoke to him for two days out of this whole thing... but that connection between twins... he could feel that something was wrong. Everything wasn't great.

When the duck asked the question, both Ven and Goofy looked at Sora to hear the answer.
"Gwarsh Sora... weddings are suppose to be full of friends and relatives. It's your day to shine! When Donald had his wedding, we could hardly fit everyone into the throne room remember!?" He laughed happily as he nudged his feathered friend.
"Just talk to 'im. I'm sure he'll understand. Ya gotta remember though, ya have lots more friends than he does... so just point it out to 'im!" He nodded, satisfied with his solution.

Ventus rolled his eyes. All this sudden talk about love and such was a bit too much for him. He eyes lowered, feeling a bit tired all of a sudden.
"Yea Sora... you should go talk to him... even if you don't want to. That's the whole thing about marriage isn't it? To get angry but forgiving of your lover or some kind of shi--....... crap like that?" His eyes were getting heavier as he talked. "Besides... I think I need some more rest huh?"

Goofy looked back at Ventus and nodded. "Sure! Let's get outta here and let 'im sleep."
As the three left, Ventus opened his eyes slightly. "Hey! And if you see that... Terra, could you tell him to stop by at some point? I... kinda miss him."
Goofy didn't know this Terra person but he nodded anyway, assuming Sora would know.


Riku sighed. Mickey was right... all this frustration over something that could be done later. Why did it anger his heart so much... or was it even his own anger? Ansem...
"I'm sure this is all triggered from the Shadow Guardian... and the Twilight shadow of Kingdom Hearts..." He looked away and sighed. He wasn't even going to mention about Raktus... that his Darkness might of eaten up the world.

"If I didn't split my soul... Sora would never of been the same... or... he might of even died. I couldn't let that happen." Another sigh let loose. He looked back down at his friend and smiled softly. "Thank you Mickey... I think I'll spend the night by myself and make sure that I stay strong while the Darkness is still brewing. I think if me and Sora were to get in another fight today, I'll never get a hold of it."



Sora and his friends walked around the whole castle trying to find the silver haired fellow... but no such luck. When Sora started to become concerned, he went to the throne room to see if Mickey would know Riku's whereabouts. However, they bumped into Minnie first. She informed the three that Riku was staying in another room for the night to collect himself and they he didn't want to be disturbed. She continued on that he would come see Sora in the morning and that he had told her to hold off the wedding, just like Sora had asked.

She bid the three a good night and sighed as she saw them leave. Something... something didn't feel right.


The night passed like any other. It was peaceful and quiet. The birds in the courtyard were sleeping and the crickets came out to play.

Back in Delshad, Axel sat next to the hospital bed for the fourth night now... Roxas was still in a coma like state, never to of woken up since he was in the ER. Xio slept on the cold floor of the room, missing the fireplace and the bed of his masters.
A red marble was held in Axel's fingers, moving around as it made a little red light on Roxas. His green eyes became watery as he looked through it, remembering those sunsets on top of Twilight Town.
That was where he was going to take Roxas when they came out of this...
Tears started to fall down his face as the marble dropped and bounced across the room. His had wrapped around the cold one on the bed and he burried his face in Roxas's side.

Goofy slept in his knights bed, content that he had seen Sora again... and a new Roxas! Er...um... Ventus!
Donald was probably sleeping soundly with Daisy.
Dale was happy to be in his own bed, still a bit scared of everything that happened. Him and his brother would have to start working on a new ship soon...




In the morning... that was when it all started.

Minnie was up bright and early, expecting to hear the morning birds sing... but it was still quiet outside. That was a bit odd. She shrugged it off though as she hymned walking down the throne room. She frowned at all the decorations around now knowing that the wedding wouldn't happen today... she was actually very excited about it.

She walked towards the chairs and hit a button, the floor opening up again. She sighed as she walked down the stairs, seeing if her husband was at work or not yet. He was either there or in the Royal dinning room for breakfast.
However, when she hit the bottom floor, she screamed.
All around the room were the thorns. The black thorns! They had curled around the stone and around the whole room, Darkness splitting at the tiles on the floors and walls.

In the room where Sora was sleeping alone for the night, the room started to grow cold. Shadows started to crawl across the room, a black smoke bellowing out of the corner. As the shadows clawed at the covers that wrapped around Sora, it awoken the keyblader of Light. When he sat up in bed... he could see a figure in the corner, blacker than the night.

Suddenly, a pair of golden eyes peered at the brunette and pale, bare feet stepped onto the wooden floor, a dark ripple went through the shadows. A man with a black hood and leather pants stood there, silver escaping the hood cover. Riku smiled softly as he looked down at Sora.
Slowly... he held out his hand to the other.
"Come on Sora.... Today is our big day..."

Sora blinked but smiled brightly at goofy's suggestion. "Gosh how did i ever survive without you guys?!" Goofy had always know the right things to say to clear his head anmd make him think right.

He looked at Ven when the other complained of tiredness. He smiled softly. "good night." Once they reached the doorway, he nodded again. "I'll be sure to drag his ass to you." he joked. the trinity left, sora in much higher spirits then he had been before he left.

Those spirits were quickly dashed when he found no sight or Riku - found that the boy did not want to be spoken with at this time. It made him worry - as if... as if this was some sort of deciding factor. his ehart was screaming to go find riku, as soon as possible...

but he brushed it aside. Riku would talk to him tommorrow. He didn;t want to see him tonight. Why get into another fight?

His mind, clouded by something he could not detect, agreed with his sentimentality - quietening the echos of his ehart that screamed to aid his lover.

He eventually went off and found terra, and as promised delivered Ven's message. Terra only nodded, walking back to his psot next to the other keyblader, keeping a watchful, loving eye on the boy. Even if his arm never healed... they;d manage. They'd... they;d figure it all out.


Everyone went to bed that night with hopes of a better day tommorrow. Terra fell asleep curled up next to Ven on his bed. Chip was cuddled up in his warm critter bed near his brother. Donald was dozing happily with Daisy. Mickey was in a deep slumber next to Minnie. It was not to be.

Sora had fallen to sleep that night restlessly - insomnia clouding his mind for the majority of the night, tossing and turning constantly. His sleep was not restful, and his expression not peaceful when he finally fell to rest.

The cold that covered his room sucked away what little warmth he had left in himself. He shot out of bed, eyes searching for the cause. He could ehar his ehart beating rapidly as... as riku stepped up to him.

He worked his mouth, as if to protest but his arm moved without his own accord. he reached out, raspily choking out, "Yes..." before their hands clasped. A ripple of darkness from Riku suddenly spread and found home in Sora - the dark soul quickly finding it;s other half and voertaking it. his body jerked slightly, eyes going wide before the color was lost in shadow.

His expression - normally very open, vuleranble and sweet - fell away, apathy taking it;s mask there. "Let us go." his eyes bored into Riku's with devotion and love.

the door to Sora's room slammed open. "Riku!" a high voice cried. Irt was Mickey. He had felt the ripple of darkness just as it had begun - but it appeared he was too late. the darkness had festered into the room, violating everything it touched.

And as he feared... Sora had fallen with him - the souls making their balance fall the same way. the only reason Sora stayed in light was because Riku did - and when Riku fell Sora would be forced to follow. Even spliced it was still Riku's soul to command.


Roxas awoke with a gasp as if he had been splashed in cold water. his body jerked and he groaned. Everything was stiff and painful...

But the cold tremors running throughout his body and soul. soemthing bad had happened and -

where the hell was he? He groaned Raising his hand, only to find it clasped in another. He turned his ehad, blinking then whispered. "Axel...?" The red head was sleeping by his side. what the hell... happ-

He rememebred in a flash. The spear coming for him, cutting into him - his last desperate gasps as his lover carried him to a hospital - falling... falling into darkness.

He was alive?

"Axel..." He craocked again, his voice messy from disuse and his limbs sluggish from the long rest.

Goofy shot up as he heard his queen scream... all the way from below. As a knight, he had to protect her and the King... so his hearing was made out pretty well. He shot out of bed and grabbed his shield, running down the stairs and to the throne. When he reached the basement, he gasped, seeing all the thorns around the stone of Light. The Darkness... it was clouding out the light again...

In the medic room, Ven cuddled up to Terra, like he had since who knew when... however, he grew a pain in his heart that made him awake. He shifted in the other's arms and sat up. He yawned and looked out, only gasping. His keyblade appeared in his hand. "Oh come on! Like I can really fight in this fucking bed!"
The keyblade was summoned... for Neo Shadows were staring right at him and Terra.

Neo Shadows started to line the castle in large numbers, appearing in every room, scaring the people who lived there.

Far away, back at Destiny, black thorns started to crawl into Kairi's room. The sound of wood cracking woke her from her sleep and the minute she saw the thorns she started to scream.
Riku and Sora's house were also becoming engulfed in the thorns.


Golden eyes moved to look behind him, Sora's hand in his own. "Mickey... you're just in time. Today is Sora's and I's big day. I'm glad you could make it." An evil look ran over his face as some sort of vicious looking creature blended into the Darkness behind the two.


Axel was fast asleep but the little bit of movement and nose woke him right up. "Uhnnn... ROXAS!?" Axel's eyes opened brightly as he saw his lover awake. He quickly held onto him, holding him tightly.
Xio blinked and stood quickly, rushing to the side of the bed and yipped.

Donald shhot out of bed - not from the scream but the sudden chill that had overcome the castle. he looked arund, pajama hat drooping and his eyes widened.

Neo shadows. all around hom and Daisy. He reached for his staff, pointing it towards them. "Back off!"


Terra was awoken by Ven;s sharo movement. "Ven?" He sat up, lifting his hand, only to have his own blade appear.He blinked - still shcoked at see it;s presence again. why it came back he didn't understand. To protect Ven... Hwe looked up. "Shit." he cursed, jumping from the bed, swiping his keyblade at the shadows.


Mickey had his keyblade in hand, looking quite apprehensive. "Riku... snap out of it!" His old friend... he looked so... different now. The sound of his voice was sending shivers down his back.

Sora stood from his bed, ghosting to his... 'master's' side. The look on his face slowly began to change - an evil smile, one that did not belong on the man's face, appearing over it. Sora's eyes had turned as yellow as Riku's and his smile revealed slightly sharper canines then before. "Hello your majesty."

This was very very bad.


Roxas blinked, then slowly wrapped his arms around the other, returning the hug weakly. "H-Hey." he stuttered, coughing, trying to clear his throat. "god i'm thirsty." he mumbled.

The Neo Shadows started to pop up around Minnie and Goofy as well, now that the stone had been completely covered with the thorns.
Goofy got into stance, looking around the room. "Don't worry your majesty! I'll protect you!"
Minnie wasn't all too worried about that... she knew how to protect herself... but Mickey! and the rest of them! Who was doing this to their castle again!?


Ven growled... he wasn't going to just sit there and watch. Wasn't this place suppose to have pure light in it? Why were Heartless here? He got out of bed slowly, wincing at his arm. He didn't care if he had a hospital robe on... he was going to fight. He stood next to Terra and started to slash at them with his good arm, eliminating them quickly with his well upgraded weapon.


Kairi rushed out of her small home and looked around outside. Everything seemed to be normal... Wait... wasn't today Sora's and Riku's wedding? Where were they? He frowned, running down to the docks. She gasped as she saw the horrible sight. She could see their home from where she was standing... and it was just one large black thorn.
Her heart sank... she knew there was something wrong... and she only had one person she knew who could help her.

He rushed back into the town and towards a house close by. When she got to the front door, she pounded on it. "TIDUS!"


Axel blinked as he looked up, nodding. "I..I'll get you something to drink." He quickly left his lover's arms and raced for the sink that was in the room. He grabbed a small cup and filled it up with nice cold water. God he hated water...
He rushed back to Roxas, making sure not to drop any. He handed it down and smiled softly.


The evil smile only widened as Riku looked down at the mouse. "I'm so sorry... but Riku can't hear you." His eyes went from golden to amber. His smile clench, his teeth looking much sharper now.
He slowly raised his hand that now held long black nails on it. A ball of dark energy formed and quickly blasted out, blasting Mickey into the wall on the other side of the hallway.

He tilted his head, his silver hair following softly behind. The arm that had blasted Mickey now had a vine of thorns growing around it. "Don't try and ruin our day your majesty. Listen to what your keyblade has to say."
His other hand moved up, taking Sora's chin. The black nails laced over Sora's soft skin. "Come on my pet... we have to go home for now. We're not welcomed here... but it won't take long until they understand."

He slowly moved back into the large shadow behind them, the beast waiting behind it wrapping its large arms around the two, bring them into Darkness. When they disappeared, Heartless Wyverns started to crawl out of it along with Darkballs.

Terra glanced at Ven, a little worried but the idiot knew his limits and he knew what he was doing - knew his limits. Most of the time. but he stayed nearby anywyas - not like they had room to spread out. He began to swipe through the room, clearning heartless left and right. they needed to get out of the confining space - give themseleves more room to move and to run if need be. they needed a palce where they weren;t cornered animals.


TIDUS!
"Gah!" the voice was like a foghorn and he fell out of bed, herat beating quickly. a mussed blonde head popped up on the other side of the bed, hearing the banging. "Kairi...?" Well she was... perky this morning.

He jumped up at her incesstance, forgetting the fact he was only in his little rabbit boxers as he ran to the door. He slammed the door open. "Kairi whats the matter?!" He looked at her a little panicked. She didn;t look happy.


Roxas smiled taking the cup gratefully, his shaking hands holding the water close. He tipped it into his mouth, swallowing great big audible gulps. the muinute the cup was empty he let it rest on his stomach, to drained to lfit it back up to his lover. He looked at him. "How long have I been out?" He murmured.

Thats when he noticed something he had not before. There was... an empty feeling within him. soemthing that was no longer there. for a panicked moment he thought one of his limbs where gone, but when he got a response from all ten toes and ten fingers he felt much better.

Then it just snapped. He knew. "My keyblades are gone." He whispered, his breath shuddered, Gone... just like that. The empty space was in his hearts where theyw ere once junctioned. all gone all gone... forever. "damn that bitch Aqua." he hissed.


"Ri-" The king tried again, only to get blasted back by a powerful wave of darkness. He shook his head, large ears flooping around a bit. He raised his head.

Sora's eyelids lowered a bit, the gleam in his eyes where the light used to be fading further and further away. The darkness had it;s hold on him. "Yes master." He whispered. He looked up at the other, a smile of the utmost devotion and love on his face. He would listen to whatever this 'Riku' said.

Mickey watched in horror as Sora and Riku were both dragged into the darkness. No this was terrible. "Riku! Sora!!!" He cried,getting to his feet. He ran forward, only to pause as more powerful heartless took form where the two had just left. He knew he would not be following them quite yet. He lifted his blade and jumped in the air. slashing down. His quick little feet took him across the area quickly, able to dodge the attacks of both creatures as he got behind them, striking them down with powerful swings.

Terra and Ven had fought Heartless countless of times, they knew what they were doing... and with all the upgrades, it would be easy picking for now. There were so many of them though. The number didn't bother him... what bothered him was that every single on of these Heartless had a Nobody...
And when he thought of Nobodys... he thought Delshad.

Ven quickly cleared a path, his black arm shaking from all the excitement. "Come on!" He called to Terra was he rushed out the door, only to face to face with Darkball. "AH!" He slashed forward, making it burst and a heart finding its way away. He never saw one of those before... they were kinda cute! Then again... he found a lot of Heartless cute... but they were evil.

He continued to slash at the Heartless coming there way. He wonder where Aqua was... and how she was managing.


Kairi panted. "The Heartless! The Darkness!" She panted more as he put his hands on her knees. "My house... it has all black thorns in it. Riku and Sora...."
As she mentioned their names, she felt a sting in her heart. Something was wrong with them! She could feel the Darkness in their names...
In other words, she didn't happen to see his bunny boxers.


The green eyes watched the boy carefully, just happy that he was awake... and looked pretty well from where he was standing. "About... three days. You got hurt real good." He said softly.
When Roxas looked panicked, he frowned. What now?
"Riku and Sora went to the Disne--" He stopped, thinking he could answer a question that he thought would be asked... but when he got the real question, he looked down.

No... Roxas was no longer a keyblader... His eyes looked up though when he hear Aqua's name. "Aqua!? She did this to you!?" How... how could she!? After all that he went through with her. He was furious.
Slowly he looked away. He shouldn't do this... those bastards were looking for keyblade and would do anything they could to get them... if they knew... Roxas....

"Roxas... I have a keyblade...." He said softly. "I gave it to Sora when I faded... but he told me to keep it... to give it to you myself." He looked down at her lover with soft eyes. "But... if you take it... you'll be in danger again. I don't want to cause that..."


More large Wyverns started to pour from the Darkness in the wall, as if they were all trapped in behind it for years, waiting to come out. They roared as they flapped their wings, trying to push the mouse king away. The room was not a very easy place to battle since it wasn't exactly the biggest one in the castle. Mickey would have a hard time getting into the Darkness that still had Heartless pour out of it.


When Riku and Sora backed into the wall and taken by the dark creature, they were transported to a new area, no longer on Disney Castle.
The place was very familiar looking, a large main room... and with a theme that looked like End of the World. It was made of the worlds that had been lost to Darkness... which was only one at this point.
Raktus.

It wasn't that Riku wasn't himself... he very much was. It was the Darkness... and the strong amount of it in Riku that lead the Riku that everyone else knew... very far from being saved. With the help of the Darkness... and of course Ansem's Darkness...
Riku was finally turned into the Darkness's most powerful weapon:
Requiem.
The keyblader that could manipulate both Light and Dark and held the keyblade that ate souls.

He was a ticking time bomb... ready to go off.
Sora was the only thing that made him last in Light for so long.
Ironically... it was their wedding... that made him completely fall into Darkness.


Before Sora could get far into the room, a black like ribbon was wrapped around his necklace, quickly becoming a collar.
He was now Riku's pet... no?

The silver haired man walked passed him, his bare feet touching the very shallow water, making it ripple purple.
At the head of the room was a large throne, black of course with the accent of black thorns. Behind the throne was a green heart, one that was back in Hollow Bastion.

In the middle of room was a pillar, tall enough for someone to put something on it, about waist height. That was where Riku was headed. He stood over the pillar, moving his hands to make a circle. When he did this, small globes appeared, floating in the air. Each globe had the characteristics of a world.
Slowly a pale hand moved down, grasping a world in the shape of Destiny Island. Long black nails wrapped around it as an evil smile arose on his face.

Placing it back down in the space he had it, letting it return to floating with the other, he pushed a hand behind him. From the collar around his wrist shot a metal chain. It flew out towards Sora fast and latched onto his collar. Black nails grasped the chain and pulled Sora in so that he would stand next to the taller.

Amber eyes looked down at the brunette.
"Go on... pick one... any one..."

OOC: XD totally forgot about her!

"Holy shit what the hell are these things?!" Terra barked, slicing his keyblade down onto them. The Wyverns caught his eye. They were like... miny dragons! He liked dragons.

He sliced through them apathetically though. they were still heartless.



Aqua was racing across a hallway, spear in hand as she sliced one after another down. She passed the thronw room before pausing, glancing in. Her eyes narrowed, seeing the Queen of this world and a dog... She frowned a bit, before hurrying inside, looking at all the heartless. this place was almos tlike a magnet - what was once the center of light was now the center of darkness. "Hey!" she yelled across to them, swinging her spear quickly, hearts floating in the place of the heartl;ess. "You guys alright?!"

She was worried about Ven and Terra of course - but Terra would protect Ven, and the blonde wasn;t hlepless. She knew he could still fight - one arm or not.


Tidus frowned, putting his hands on her shoulder. "Kairi..." He frowned. Kairi had told him bits and peices of who sora and Riku really were - especally after he saw that weird... key-thing. but he still didn;t completely understand.

What he did get was the darkness. The darkness that destroyed people and worlds - that could be almost unstoppable if not for keybladers. "What about riku and sora?" he tasted it too. the darkness that was left behind when saying their names. "they... fell?" No way, not Sora! And Hadn;t Riku already done that?!


Roxas was quiet, looking at the floor. Aqua had... but she had been different. Her eyes had been strange and soemthing like the taste of darkness was around her -unnatural darkness as if someone had forced it into her. He... was angry that she had done it, put confused as well. It semeed like something that should have never happened.

He looked up at the sudden mentioning of a new keyblade. He frowned slwoly, knowing how much danger it would put him in - as well as Axel and Xio and maybe their whole world.

But then he felt another strong dark tug at his heart and knew the keyblade might be the only thing to save them later. "I think... I'm going to need it." He placed his hand over his heart. "Axel..." he started, uncertainly. "something is wrong with Sora. I can't... it's like our connection was broken... or at least muffled. It's... not natural." Something had been splcied between them - something cold and unforgiving and evil. "I think... I think something bad happened to Sora. He feels... like he was lost to darkness." Had the Chasers turned him into a heartless...? That would be awful!


Mickey frowned, before lifting his blade. "Light!" pwoer rediated from him, and them oplaced it, making the wyervens crash against walls and the ground. He rushed forward, trying to get to the darkness. He needed to stop it! Or this world... would not survive.


Sora felt the collar wrap around his throat. He blinked in slight surprise, touching it softly with his hands. He passed something cold that rang. A bell. He let it tinkle again - the sound should have been jolly but all he could think of was how hollow it seemed.

Sora himself had lost almost all of his awareness. His self had been so steepled in light - when faced with the true darkness he became everything he wasn't. The dark had clouded his mind, blinded his vision, choked his heart.

Ironically the only thing that pushed through all this darkness.... was his love for Riku. But now, instead of the lvoe he had for him like a couple did - it was more of an undying devotion like a pet held for his abusive master. His eyes saw nothing but Riku, lsitened to nothing but Riku.

The light - it was safe to assume - would never come back to him unless it came back to Riku first. Sadly, the only person who could bring him back was probably Sora himself. They were now just one destructive pair with what it seemed no hope of saving.

Sora blinked as he was tugged forward, the new chain rattled. He stepped beside the other eagerly , willingly. A smile filtered across his face at the sudden inquiry. He got to chose? Riku valued his opinion!

He looked at the worlds silently, eyes dark with contemplation. He glanced at Destiny, pausing and mulling it over, but shook his head. that one would be saved for later. A viuctory that would be sweet to taste.

His eyes stopped again but this time on a much brighter world with beautiful sunsets. Loathing creeped up behind him at this world. It had kept him chained down, made him msis a year of life. It would be good. He tapped the bubble that held Twilight town - hopeing it would please his master that he had chosen it.
