[Reno]

Sora could only race after the two, trying to keep stride with Riku, but the other boy had always been faster. ALWAYS. It didn;t seem fair, after all his training and skill, Riku still bested him.

However, he wasn;t really concerned about that. He was concerned about Kairi. And though he was the last one to reach the porch, he was still able to hear every little bit about her speech. when she mentioned liking him, sure it made him feel really guilty, because he had had a crush on her too...

But... that was all it was. a crush. he loved Kairi like a sister...

'i hate you!'

Sora winced. the words stung, but he was the one who got up and grabbed Kairi around the waist, spinning her around and embracing her tightly. Hem had always been better at handling emotional outbursts. "Kairi, Kairi stop it..." he said soothingly, rubbing her back. "Calm down... we... we don;t think you're useless, you're our best friend! We're not trying to leave you behind either we just... we don;t want you to get hurt."

[Rikugurl]

Riku didn't stomach this well. He didn't really know how to handle things... like crying. Even when Sora cried, he went into panic mode but tried to stay cool and calm about it. At least her punched had no real strength to them unlike the huge red mark on his face.

He watched Sora though and was just glad that he was there to calm her down... maybe.

Kairi wrapper her arms around Sora's neck and just continued crying. "You two only care about eachother now" She sobbed into Sora's shoulder.

Riku frowned. "That's not true Kairi... we were going to invite you to come travel with us...."

She stopped crying and sniffed, picking her head up a little. "R-really?"

[Reno]

Sora continued to rub her back trying to calm the poor girl down. he felt guilt settle in his stomach like a dead weight. Wow, he really felt horrible. what kind of friend was he?

That;s when Riku mentioned the traveling, and Sora shot him a smile. "yeah... i mean if you want too." The brunette stuttered to her suddenly, giving her a grin. "We;re um... gonna go visit some friends and we wanted you to come with us. It'll be fuuuun." Excitement danced in his eyes. He couldn;t wait!

[Rikugurl]

Kairi sniffed a few more times, breaking away from Sora. She looked at him then up at Riku. "Y-you two won't leave me again will you??"

Riku was going to make a sarcastic joke about ditching her on a side plant but decided quite against it. He just gave her a small smile instead. "We won't Kairi... we're just going to visit some pricks and look around a new world. Maybe get some really good ice cream." He never actually had the Sea-salt Ice cream...

"Pricks?" She asked, tilting her head and wiping some tears away.

Riku nodded. "Yea.... Roxas and Axel."

She blinked. "Roxas and Axel? They're.... they're still alive?"

Riku just nodded.

[Reno]

"Eh it;s a um..." Sora scratched the back of his head. "It's a long story. Gotta tell you it sometime." Oh yeah, that was going to take awhile.

He paused suddenly then looked towards Riku. "Heey don;t say that about my adopted brother!"

[Rikugurl]

Kairi looked very confused. "But... uh....isn't Roxas a part of you?" She questioned.

"Use to be... it will be included into that very long story." Riku relied, looking down at Sora. "He called me a prick too~" He sighed and looked at the sky, sort of wishing that they hadn't been interrupted.

"SO.... are we going to head out today or tomorrow?" He looked at Sora again for an answer.

[Reno]

He grinned at Kairi and shrugged. "heh, it's kinda cool actually..."

Then he looked towards Riku. "Yeah but that;s Roxas." He said, sticking up for his brother. "He likes being mean to you." he grinned. "We could leave today!" Sora bounced on the balls of his feet, getting even more excited. "I can;t wait!" And a hyper Sora, was a scary Sora.

[Rikugurl]

A small smile appeared on Kairi's face. That made Riku smile as well. "Alright then.... we can go today." He looked back at Kairi and nodded. "Get some extra clothes and we'll come get you soon ok? I need to stop by my mom's first."

Kairi was still a little hesitant about trusting them again, but all she could hear was Selphie yelling at her. "O-ok...." She looked at Sora and smiled. "Thanks Sora..." He turned and went inside her house, closing the door behind her.

[Reno]

Sora waved to Kairi, but frowned a little, glasncing towards Riku. He had noticed how she had specfically said thanks to him... and if he noticed there was no way Riku missed it.

He walked next to his boyfriend, taking his hand in his. "Come on... let;s get to your mom's."

[Rikugurl]

Riku did noticed... but why should he be thanked... he didn't do anything to calm her down. He smiled again as Sora took his hand and nodded.

They walked down the path and down some blocks towards his mother's house. He kinda wished that they could of gone alone... but Kairi did need some more attention from her old friends. When they got there, he knocked on the door.

The cheerful woman opened the door and looked out. "Oh! I was afraid you weren't going to show. It's pretty late."

Riku nodded. "Yea... he gets out of school late."

She put up her finger, suggesting one minute as she went back inside. A moment later she came out with a tray of cookies. "Like promised~~~ Did you do good on your test sweetie??"

[Reno]

The brunette smiled back to Riku, kissing his cheek lightly. By the time they had reached Riku's mom's house he was brimming with excitemenet again.

Sora squealed, grasbbing a cookie and grinned. "I passed it! not with flying colors or anything but i passed that means i pass highschool and i'm alll done!"

he chuckled excited, eating the cookie. "Thank you! i love youer baking!"

[Rikugurl]

She smiled more. "Oh that's great Sora. Are you planning on going to college?"

RIku gave his mom a dull look. "Ummm... anyway, I just wanted to stop by and let you know that Sora, Kairi and I will be going on a small vacation."

"Kairi?" She replied. "I'm glad she finally decided to do something with you to. Did you want me to watch the house for you?"

Riku shrugged. "If it's not too much trouble for you."

"No trouble at all." She went back inside and a few minutes came out again, handing Sora a baggy full of cookies. "Just lemme know when you get back ok?" She hugged her son and Sora tightly. "You are such good boys."

Riku.... wondered if she had some loose screws sometimes....

[Reno]

"Hmm, college?" Sora shuddered. "I don;t know yet. Don;t know what i want to do." he explained with a shrug. Actually he just didn;t want to ever sit in a classroom. EVER. AGAIN.

He nodded to the vacation, grinning happily, and even more so when she not only brought him cookies but a hug as well. he returned it happily. "Thanks!"

Riku waved to his mom as he took Sora's hand again and headed back towards Kairi's. Pulling his silver hair behind his ringed ears, he looked up at the evening sky.

Kairi was waiting outside with a small brief case. A letter was put on the door letting Selphie know what she was leaving for a few days but would be back. SHE warned her friends when she was leaving.... unlike some other people. When she saw the two coming down the road, she looked away slightly. She tried not to let it bother her that they were now together... who would of thought they would be together.

"You ready??" Riku asked as they came close.

She nodded and started walking alongside Sora. They walked all the way down to the beach across from Destiny Island. Kairi's small boat was untied as they got in and started taking a small trip across.

[Reno]

Sora looked over the side of the boat, dipping his hand into the water. he chuckled, childishly. "I miss trying to catch fish. Heeey Riku we should cook fish one of these days!" He licked his lips. "That would be awesome. maybe with a papou fruit smoothie too... and and..." he thought. what would go perfectly? "a caramal desert." he nodded.

"Or maybe we should barbaque over an open flame out on the beach like we used to when camping!" the keyblade said. He glanced towards Kairi. "Do you remember when we used to do that? sleep out on the island under the stars?"
