The War that Binds Us (Yaoi! Yay!)

[Reno]

With one last glance at the broken room, Donald followe dafter, a bit curious about the going-ons that was happening. He didn;t know what Sora was thinking...

Sora sighed hurrying after Riku. After hearing Axel's comment he sighed. these two were going to anatagonize each other, weren;t they?

Well if they fight again, i hope Axel wins Roxas grumbled bitterly.

Roxas...?

The blonde nobody didn;t reply, just curled deepen in the recess of Sora's mind. the brunette shook his head, walking up the stairs after Riku.

[Rikugurl]

Axel waited til the other grew close before opening the door to the room that led to the computer room. He walked down more stairs to an open floor that had stairs leading downward. At one point, this place was crawling with Heartless but the other Nobody's were able to get rid of them for the most part. He pointed at the stairs that led into darkness. "It's guarding the stairs."

Riku looked down at the stairs and passed the other that was pretty much the same height. When he reached the last step to the floor, his keyblade appeared once more.

Goofy hid behind the big shield as he looked down at the stairs.

Riku took one last step.


Suddenly, darkness swarmed around the stairs as a large, wolf-like heartless formed.

[Reno]

Donald rasied his own staff, ready for the fight that was about to begin.

Sora was at Riku;s side in an instant, his own keyblade appearing just as the new heartless appeared. the thing was large and fierce looking, with large teeth and dangerous claws. A wolf...?

It didn;t look at all friendly.

[Rikugurl]

The wolf Heartless let out a huge roar, shaking the mansion altogether. Axel held onto the rail but quickly joined the four down below. His chakrams appeared as they all quickly were surrounded by a wall of fire. This made the beast angrier.

Large claws swung out towards the group and Riku dodged it, quickly getting behind the best.

Axel sighed... looked like the best thing he could do was be the bait. He grinned though and flung a chakram at the beast, hitting it in the shoulder. "Come on you ugly thing! Let's fight fire with fire!" He danced around a bit to grabbed the Heartless's attention.

It worked. The wolf grew furious and growled at Axel, swinging at him constantly only to get burned.

[Reno]

Damnit Axel don;t get yourself killed! Roxas thought angrily.

"Thunder!" Donald cried, and a bolt of lightning crashed down on the beast.

Sora rasied the keyblade and it glew almost completely white before he flung it at the monster, the sharp ends of the blade tearing at it;s back.

[Rikugurl]

The beast roared once more as it was hit by the lightning and burned at the same time. It threw it's massive claws on the floor, making it crack and rumble. It threw everyone off balance. Axel quickly got back up and threw another chakram at the beast. "HEY! Stop ruining our place here!"

The keyblade sliced through the beast back and it roared again in pain, some of the flooring falling down towards them. The piece of wood caught on fire from Axel's flame but Goofy quickly casted water on them.

Riku grabbed a tuff of black hair and climbed onto the wolf's back, gabbing Sora's keyblade deeper into it's back and pounded his own into the back of its neck. That pretty much did it. The beast let out another cry before falling forward, almost squishing Axel but missed. It burst into a huge cloud of dust and a large crystal heart flew off.

Axel put down the fire wall and smile, looking over at the others. "Wow... that took you guys no time."

Riku jumped off as the best fell forward and once it disappeared, he moved to grab his keyblade back that quickly disappeared in his hands. "Of course. Since me and Sora work together now, it's a lot quicker." He grinned as he looked at the two low brow Disney characters.

[Reno]

"Hey i take offense to that." Donald grumbled. Riku had a big ego sometimes...

Sora chuckled, flicking his wrist and his own keyblade disappeared. "Well now what?" he looked from his silver-haired friend to the red-head. he knew the answer. "The World that Never Was right?"

[Rikugurl]

"No." Axel put bluntly. "I have to check if Kingdom hearts is powerful enough for us to go there. He walked towards the stairs and looked back at them. "You guys should take a rest. This could take awhile. Feel free to use the mansion. The Nobody's will keep this place free of Heartless. Besides, it must be almost night by now."

Axel was right. It was nighttime and matter of fact, none of them had a bite to eat. Luckily, Mickey was good at making food... meaning he passed down this talent to Riku. It was easy to find the old kitchen in the mansion and soon it was cooking. Literally. Casting fire really helped.

Goofy found himself in the White room with everyone else. This was where Namine was, wasn't it? There was a sort of peace here. His ears went up when he heard the door open, seeing Riku come in with a tray of food. It really did smell good. He handed the duck and dog a salad with some meat in it and handed Sora a salad with some topical fruit. "Don't tell Kairi I know how to cook... ok?" He asked as he sat down across from Sora with his own fruit salad.

[Reno]

Donald thanked Riku graciously. he really was hungry.

Sora laughed. "Your secrets safe with me." he grinned evilly. "As long as I get to tease you about it." he licked his lips, picking up his fork ready to dig in.

[Rikugurl]

He rolled his eyes and started eating the fresh fruit he remember to bring from the island. He figured it would come in handy once they ventured out. Even if it was a salad, it was a pretty hefty one.

Goofy smile happily as he took the plate and thanked the other Keyblader. He quickly gave it a home in his stomach.

After a few hours of joking around, the dog and other found themselves in a comfortable place with some pull overs and half asleep.

Riku on the other hand looked out the window up at the sky. Each star was a world right? He wanted to visit them all. Just like Sora...

[Reno]

Riku?" Sora whispered, lookign towards the other boy. he suddenly sucked in a breath his eyes widened a bit. even from here... he could see Riku, illuminated by the moon, his silver hair practically glowing and his eyes a shade softer then he;d ever seen them. he was... he was...

Sora shook his head, trying to dispel the thoughts but it didn;t help. he thought Riku was beautiful... oh what was he going to do with himself?

[Rikugurl]

His eyes closed slowly but opened them again, letting the stars reflect off of the ocean eyes. He thought it was pretty lame when his mother told him that no matter where he went, he would remind people of Destiny Island's ocean with those eyes. Then again, at that time, there was no other place than Destiny Island so who would he have to remind. Once in the doors of Kindom Hearts, he used his own eyes to make him remember where he had come from.

Kingdom Hearts... it wasn't a very pleasant place. You would think it was since it was nothing but a collection of hearts. However... they were lost hearts. Maybe... the Nobody's were right. If they were trying to give these hearts a place to go, then the power of Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be fought over... and then they could all go home.

He could hear a whisper and moved his head slowly, the ocean glancing through the silver to look at the brunette in the corner.



Kairi sighed as she too looked out at the stars. They were up there somewhere... and they had better come home soon before she forgot Sora's name again. She sighed and rubbed her arm from the chilly air that the ocean let out. Slowly she walked away, towards the cave in the root.
She sat down in front of the picture she had drawn of her and Sora. It was faded now, looking as if someone had swiped their hand over it. She smiled, just seeing the edit. She knew Sora liked her and hoped he could come home soon. Her eyes closed as she slowly started to fall asleep.

The sleep didn't last long. A strange sound made her eyes open to see a light shining from the picture. Tilting her head, she looked closer. The drawing of her faded and another replaced it. She blinked. Was that Riku?? The fruit disappeared and all that was left was a heart that was a shade of purple. What the hell did this mean?? Where did the fruit go?



Riku looked back outside and leaned on the wall behind him.

[Reno]

"Ri..." Sora sighed again, but he shuffled around a bit, getting to his feet before he carefully, quietly, climbed over his friends and treeked the small distance to be besides Riku. Not like he had to, he couldn;t awaken Donald and Goofy without a trumpet sometimes...

But somehow, when it was night he always felt better trying to be quiet, maybe just out of pure habit of years sneaking off at night with Riku to the play island, always having to be oh so quiet so his parents wouldn;t wake up and they could play all they liked and screech all night - and even sometimes they fell asleep and got into a lot of trouble come morning.

He smiled fondly, looking outside at all the stars, at all the worlds. So many he had yet to visit... "Sure is a lot of em, huh?" Sora whispered.

He wondered, idly, why he wasn't so scared about being attracted to Riku... but the thought was brushed aside quickly. He knew why. Because he was Sora, keyblade wielder, a boy who at thirteen was thrown into a mess of saving foriegn worlds, meeting strange people and fought horrid battle, and none of that had shocked him too much.

Why a little crush on his best firend be anything out of the norm for him?

Besides, he took a lot of comfort knowing he wasn;t the only one with the crush, Roxas had one on Axel - so it looked both sides of him was going to be homosexual. oh joy, wait till he told his parents! They were stillhaving panic attacks over Wonderland, and that was just the beginning!

[Rikugurl]

"Well duh... there's always been a lot of them." He replied frankly. When he was younger, he just thought they were.... well... what kids usually think stars are. But now realizing that they were all planets... just blew his mind. There were thousands of planets... and they had to protect them all. It too was quite gay telling his parents that he had to protect all the stars.

His eyes returned to the other and smiled. "Kairi must be having a heart attack by now. We had better get ready for her wrath when we get back home." To our own little star.


Kairi indeed was ripped, not that they had left her behind... but that Riku had beat her into sharing a paopu fruit with Sora. She just hoped the superstition wasn't true. She could remember her teach at school telling it to the other students that didn't go to Destiny Island.
"A superstition of the island is the power of the paopu fruit which is said to bind together the destinies of any two people who share one"
She sighed as she looked at the odd majickal heart under the drawing. That must be what happened. What did they do? Go off an elope for crying out loud!?

[Reno]

Sora paled a little at the thought. "She's gonna be pissed, but i mean heh... it;s hard to explain to her that a princess of heart shouldn;t be fighting..." he rubbed the back of his head. okay in sora tougne that was the nicest way he could say Kairi was weak.

But really, it took nothing at all for him to beat her. sure she might have been able to take down some shadow heartless, but she;d never be able to stand up to actual nasty ones, like the wvyrens or the requiems or the... the fat bandits. Sora shuddered a bit. they would have teared her apart...

It was all for the best really... now she wouldn;t die and they wouldn;t get distracted trying to protect her. he ran a hand through his hair, but the spikes merely bounced back into their place.
