OOC: this could be considered what if. I dunno up to you.
No one really knew when it happened, well not anymore. Time was lost to them.
But everyone would agree. This was hell.
Sephiroth sighed, running a hand through his hair, being 'ushered' in the mess hall. When had been the last time he had been clean? h yeah, when they hosed him down in his 'cage', like some dog at a pound. he frowned as his hand collided with the collar around his neck. that collar was on almost every single angel these damn demons had caught. it surrpressed magic power, flying, speed. anything imginable that could garner your escape. quite plainly, if you were wearing it, you were powerless. it drained everything out if you even tried.
and he had tried. so had rina, and, above better judgement, kept trying even to this day. maybe she thought it would get weaker with age and use but so far it proved strong.
Aftere getting his food he easily moved to a table, glad that at least he had this much freedom. it wasn;t hard to find his wife and friends and sisters and brothers. in these times, family stuck together. He sat down next to Paine, smiling at her. "how you doing?"

" Ive been better..." Pain held onto her collar, hers had always been somewhat tight on her neck and she always had to pull it away to breathe right " I jus wish I could get this thing off..." she stared down at the small meal on her plate, as hungry as she was... she just wasnt sure if she really wanted to live anymore

"i know." he leaned closer, wrapping a comforting arm around her. he could sense her wavering willpowe.r these bastard demons were trying to tear everything away from them. they didn;t care if they lvied or died, they just wanted to see the angel breaks to pieces before that.
He wasn;t fairing to well either. even if he got free, what then? what would be the point?!
The doors to the mess hall slammed open and three demons came in, dragging a struggling silver-haired female. he glanced down the way and sighed, exasperated. It was Rina, of course. she was pribably the only one out of all of them who had retained all of her personality. and they hated her. they wanted to break her the most. he had no idea of what all they did to her, but nothing stopped her will. they;d even gone so far as to punish her for things her family members did.
They dragged her past their table, a different type of torture.
"what'd you do this time rina?" Eve asked timidly.
"i don;t know. you guys tell me." Rina shot back. she didn;t sound angry, merely curious.
Siaki rasied her hand, looking timid and guilty. "i tripped in the kitchen and broke a few plates."
"oph she tripped." Rina's voice rasied so it echoed around the whole hall. she always made a scene. "A shinra tripped! what blasphemy!" her voice rang with sarcasm. "after all, all humans have to have the grace of a cat even if they are underfed!" She tugged on the chains that had been wrapped around her wrists.
The demons growled at her, tugging her along. they bought her to a wall and chained her up. Her feet dangled, barely scraping onto the ground. "now lets see how many times have i done this? i believe my count is at... oh... 137." it was Rina;s torture. she was forced to watch her fellow slaves eat while she got nothing. she rolled her eyes, holding onto the chains that pinned her to the wall, lessoning the cut off of circulation. she was up there, sometimes for all three meals. she hadn;t eatten once today, or even yesterday. they had tried to sneak her food once but they forced her to throw it up.

Paine glanced over at her and frowned, it was so hard to believe that she could keep so much of her own will... all that pride... it was just getting her in trouble! She just didnt understand how she could put up with it all...

Rina looked up, seeing the looks she was getting, not only from Paine but from almost all of them. she laughed. "don;t look at me like that! this is quite fun. pissing off demons is part of my daily routine."
There was a few growls from above. It was common or the demons to eat on the level above the mess hall, including the one who ruled over them all. Rina looked upwards and smirked. "oh grrrr yourself! bunch of cowards!"

There was a claping noise a large demon stood above staring down at them, his face almost identical to Magus but more... demented... two horns coming from his forehead and a much older look. " Your so brave... its a shame your husband wasnt the same before I killed him." he smirked pausing as he stood there staring down " such a poor excuse for a demon Red was... its quite a shame..."

He turned his neck to the side slightly creating a loud cracking noise and then the other " as many times as I please... but no worries ill see you later tonight my dear Rina..." he licked his lips then turned heading back

Rina scoffed. "oooh scary." She rolled her eyes.
Sephiroth frowned a bit and his eyes narrowed. a little further down the table her heard a little whimper. he knew it was Diana.

" Perhaps Ill just see Diana then!" he shouted sitting down at his table " and our friend Raichu... down in the dungeons will be getting some more torture..."

Rina scowled, pulling at her chains and yelled upwards. "you're just as cowardice as the demons you rule over! you can;t even control what you own!"

He said nothing else as he began to eat his meal, he knew exactly where to get Rina angry... everyone had a weakeness and hers was Diana.

Rina grit her teeth, he would follow through with his threat, she knew it. she looked down the table straight at her wife. Diana looked terrified.

"well, if we could just find the keys..." Sephiros murmured from across the table. "then again its not that simple."
Sephiroth frowned, looking around the mess hall. "the probablilty of that is slim, and even less for us to be able to grab them. as useful as it would be, i believe we have to look at another path."
