Scarlette gripped the phone tightly " I..." she shut her eyes letting out a brief sigh " I dont want to hear your lies... dont you dare toy with me..."

"i'm not lying." Rufus declared.
"sir" the intercom on his desk turned on.
Rufus pulled the phone away, hitting a button. "yes?!"
"weapon is getting dangerously close.... and the sister ray is ready."
Rufus glanced back and sighed. "...fire." He put the phone to his ear, "scarlet?" all the lights in midgar suddenly turned off. he sighed and placed back the phone.

Rufus sighed, setting the phone down. "well... i said something..." he straightened and looked out the window.
It wasn;t even a full two minutes later before the whole tower shook and every glass window in the building broke to pieces. Rufus looked outside to see the sister ray fire its gun... but as the beam went forward, something else came towards them. or more specifically him. his eyes narrowed... just as the blast struck his office.
The tower shook worse this time, toppling desks and chairs, the power went out and ceilings cracked, plaster falling to the floor.

five minutes later, siaki ran into the meeting room, taking the other Heads of department, Rina Eve and the Turks. she scowled. "what the hell happened?!"

" Er... the weapon fired a beam at the tower! Where is Rufus!?" Tseng shouted getting up, everything was going bad...

"i..." Siaki shut her eyes. "he was on the top floor..." She shuddered. she couldn;t feel her brother anymore... was he... "he;s dead."

" W... what!? No!" Tseng paniked turning running out of the room as fast as he could slamming his fist into the elevator button " Fuck damnit! "

The other turks glanced at one another before following.

Tseng ran inside the elevator then looked back at the following others " Dont come after me! Stay down here and make sure everything stays in some sort of an order!"
