Pann frowned hugging back slightly resting her head on her mothers shoulder... and suddenly started to cry " Mom they lied... they lied to me..."

Her mother just stayed silent and hugged her, rubbing her back and running her fingers through pann's hair, just like she used to when pann was a child and scared of monsters. a comforting motion was all she could do.
Rufus stared, dumbstruck. why... why couldn;t he do anything? he scowled a bit, and spun on his heel, stalking off. he walked out the back entrance. he didn;t understand, couldn;t. he never would understand what its like to have parents love you. what he did understand was that they could do what he couldn;t.

"he will." was all Tifa could say. she led her daughter to her sleeping quaters. "rest."
It was about five hours later, nearing dinner, when the door to the house burst open. Diana sped in, looking ecstatic. "Pann?! aunt Tifa!" She looked around, eagerly.
Rina tiptoed in after, looking exhasted.

Pann was leaning up against the wall as her head emediatly popped up " Diana?!" she got up quickly rushing over to her sister " What is it!?"

Diana grinned, hugging her sister quickly then backed off. "i have great news! you won;t believe who i saw!"
Rina looked at her wife, noticing all the branches and leaves tangles in her hair. she reached over and plucked one out.
Diana pouted at Rina then grinned at her sister. "Pann i saw Casey!!"

Diana filnched, feeling pann's hands dig into one of her arms, bandaged for an odd reason. "well uh..."
"you two can talk later." Rina shot, pulling Diana away. "you need to get cleaned, before that wound gets infected."
Diana pouted. "well uh... yeah i suppose so..." she glanced down at her arm then at Pann and tossed her head. "he;s living in a forest nearby. i'm not sure exactly where, but i met Shaktia and him aboit twnety miles from here. they say its safer to stay nearby because this place is the safest as can be. Karissa and Magus are there, and Canio too." she looked meaningfully at her sister. "i think your son is with her."

Pann stared blankly for a moment... " My... my son? Is he ok!?" Pann followed after Diana " Diana can you take me there!?" she asked eagerly, she had to make sure he was alright... her little boy...

Rina lead them both to a river that wound in the town. it was clean water, the only on the planet. she sat Diana down then tore off a ribbon of her clothing wetting it. "Diana take off the bandages."
Diana did as instructed, meanwhile she glanced at Pann frowning. "well thats the bad news. i don;t know exactly. i met shaktia out while she was hunting and um..." she showing pann the claw marks on her arm. "and well..." she chuckled. they were deep and still bleeding, dirty as well. "Shaktia and Casey both told me it would be unwise to go to the jakku village though because... they're hungry and they'll kill anyone 'not part of the clan or accepted as one'. we aren;t welcome there and ouch!!"
Rina sighed at Diana, cleaning the cut gently. "sorry love." Diana went silent, squirming in pain and no longer able to talk. she glanced at Pann. "there is more good news, we know how to reach Shaktia. probably it would be better to let her find her dinner first though she;s... rather crazed. she couldn;t even recognize Diana;s scent and if Casey hadn;t of been there..." Rina just shook her head. she leaned up and kissed Diana's cheek. "hon if you can;t take this, then the others will be a lot worse."
Diana scowled. "oh shush..."

" This town is the last good thing left in this world... thank you for bringing me here." It was Josh... he was dressed in a black cloak, and dark black armor right underneathe it, he stared at the creature oddly. It was a moogle, it flew around him in circles.
" But you saved me Kupo!" It flew joyfully smiling at him " Master Can I take you someplace here you can stay?"
He stared at it curiously " I wouldnt mind..." he had once again fallen into darkness just like he did in his very first life. It was the only way to gain enough power to defend his family... but first he had to find them. When he returned to the cave everyone was gone...

"Don;t worry about that. the Jakku's are probably the strongest clan living next to the demons." Rina responded. "anyways, Shaktia said if we want to reach her this is what we do. at dawn you go out to the forest line in that direction" Rina motined east. "and you howl. it sounds odd but thats how they communicate. Shaktia will pick up the sound and come running. after that you just have to ask her to find her son and let you see him and thats that." she paused suddenly then groaned at her stupidy. "well, not one of my brighter moments. Hey pann, can you please heal Diana?"
Diana blinked and burst into chuckles. "oh... yeah... oops." she gave her sister a puppy dog look.

" Master follow me Kupo!" the moogle flew off going at a steady pace.
Josh blinked but ran after it " Hey slow down!"
The moogle laughed coming to a slower pace
" So where are you taking me?" Josh continued to stare at it... it had been a long time since hed seen a moogle... he didnt even think they existed anymore, not in this world atleast.
" Home! Kupo!" The moogle flew circling around him once again " Dont you want to see your family master?"
Josh came to a stop as he stared at it blankly " m... my family...?"

Diana nodded. She watched her sister.
Rina dropped the bandages in relief. it had been a real scary experience.
~flashback~
"Diana! Diana where are you!" Rina cried for the umptennth time. she was getting scared. she would die if she lost her wife too...
A scream echoed in the woods. Rina paled. "no... DIANA!"
"Shaktia stop!"
When Rina ran onto the scene, it was to find a tiger, her ears pointed more then any other creatues ever would be. she was laying on the floor, in a sort of guilty look that dogs took on, her tail inbetween her legs.
Casey was next to Diana, holding her arm. "It;s ok sis, it;s not so bad."
Diana stared. "Casey?!"
"I'm sorry." the tiger rumbled. "i was hungry... i didn;t knwo it was you."
"it's ok Shaktia. my god... your guys are alive!" Diana looked ready to burst into tears.
Rina walked onto the scene carefully, earning a growl that quickly cut off by Shaktia. "Diana..."
Rina paled just at the memory. she looked at Diana quietly.
"Hey... i'm a little tired." Diana muttered as they began to head back.
Rina gathered up her wife. "well then we'll fly." she took the the air, letting Diana snuggled against her. it was only a few miles but she was exhasted all the same lack of food and the high waste of energy crippled her quickly. by the time they reached the town Diana was happy and hyper again. "wait till i tell Pann!"
