Sephiroth sighed, leaning against the rock wall from his position on the floor, just sitting there. Paine was snuggled against him. his eyes opened and he just stared around at the detestable place. Yet it was a place with much meaning...
The walls surronded them on three sides, opening up in a large side at the north end. but the territory itself was huge, giving more space then one person would honestly need. it was... his old territory when he lived in hell for 20 years, surprisingly still abadonned.
Yes, why would he be down here? It... was complicated. He didn;t know the full details, he hadn;t had any time to prepare for what had happened, all he knew was Ky Kiske was involved.
Heaven had fallen, and had become the thing deathseige had hoped for 'a second hell'. but it was worse then that. like he said, it had happened so fast and even Rina didn;t know how or why it happened. What he did know is that Heaven, Hell and the Planet all collided together, forming one demension. the line between the three was no longer known and no one was safe anywhere. it was... a disaster. Being a demon, an angel or a human didn't matter anymore. you died no matter where you ran.
The lands were corrupted visibly. the skies were always black and the trees and grass were decayed. the waters were constantly chruning like a storm was always brewing, making them unsafe to travel on. parts of the planet and heaven were almost undescernable from hell that had pratically swallowed them whole. caves and mountains of rock were everywhere and plant life was nearly gone.
As for the God heads... they were trapped within their very own council room. Sephiroth didn;t know what power held them there or how to get them back. he;d done his best as the world started to change. the last thing he had ever reported to the arch angels was this: "save everyone you can."
he never saw them again.
At first he had been disarrayed and all he could think to do was run. that's what he did, collecting as many people as he good. friends, families, strangers. it didn;t matter.
And here he was, magically finding his old territory he lead them into the cave and this is where they lived. it was rather nice compared to being out in the open and most people didn;t bother them because, of course, many demons reverred this place (back when the world was three demensions) as being haunted. in fact legend says no one came out alive. what they didn;t know was Sephiroth, having been a bit insane at the time, killed and or maimed anyone who walked in on his territory, before they even saw who did it. except one: Rufus. the two had lived here for eighteen years together, but now... they did again with a LOT more people.
Sephiroth glanced around the cave. besides Paine and himself, there were 15 others.
Rina and Diana. Red had mysteriously disappeared and all of their kids had turned up missing.
Eve. Sol had also gone array. Sephiroth supposed he went off to fight Ky and settle the score. he was probably dead but he;d never tell Eve that.
Sephiros and a fiesty girl named Elle, his girlfriend. Shouka, Ami and Ryten as well had gotten lucky to stumble in.
Siaki and Sean. Siaki was having many problems eating as of late, refusing food and giving it to Sean. that is... whenever they had food. Siaki relied on her mako to keep her going. also at some point she had grabbed a bow and had kept arrows. she was an excellent archer.
Rufus and Pann. the two kept to themseleve alot but on more occasions then one they were fighting each other, due to hunger stress and lack of sex probably.
and finally, Dagmir, Tifa and Josh... there story was a bit... tragic. Tifa had become a mute, rarely talking except when she absolutely needed to. and even then they were usally one word sentences. What happened was this: when the planet was decayed and changed, the group had run into a fight... and Tifa had gotten hit in the stomach. she had a miscarriage. The timing was so tragic that Tifa no longer spoke and Josh blamed himself over and over, becoming almost as quiet as her. as for Dagmir... she was gradually becoming more depressed, feeling odded out and unloved.
And Sephiroth felt as if he were the only one to notice.
As for the others...
Gradd and Raichu had been unheard of thus far.
His daughter and her husband Zecco he had no idea where they were and his ablity to sense people had been somehow cut off. actually for everyone it had. they were restircted from feeling out family memebers or friends.
The Jakkus had gone into hiding. to where, no one, absolutely no one knew. Casey, Magus, and the former 'earth' guardian Nova (Karissa and Magus' son) he knew where all with them. they hadnlt been seen since it happened. the jakkus were more resourceful then humans.
Tenks and Yolana had not been heard of either. nor anyone elses kids.
the strain of not knowing where so many people were was killing many emotionally. everyone was worried for their family and friends. However, every time Sephiroth went out for food, he always searched for a familer face. he never found one.
Sephiroth sighed brushing a hand through Paine's hair. it was amazing that... the fifteen of them had stayed together. their were so many sparks of hate and anger in the room. Sean and Rufus went at it often. Pann and Rina nearly killed one another. Sephiros and Josh at least seemed to be more... quiet. but they had to... they needed to stay alive... they couldn;t do a thing except try to survive and hope for a miracle.
Sephiroth groaned lightly,feeling hunger thrust through him. he hadn;t been eating much either. in fact, none of his sisters or brothers had been, giving it to there spouses or in sephiros' case his children as well. they relied on the mako to help them maintain a balance until they absolutely had to eat. Well... he was at that point. "love..." He murmured to Paine. "i'm gonna go out for dinner..."
