She blinked shaking her head and turned and walked away. she didn;t understand it but... that was ok.
it was years later. both Danica and Eleu were in their fourth year of college and Kyle was 17. Canio waiting for her age to move again after it had frozen at 18 when Kyle turned 15. she was sitting in a tree staring at the ocean in her human form silently. she shut her eyes and sighed.
Danica, had eventually come to terms with liking girls and how to deal with it. the problem would probably be finding a mate, but she would try. as for Eleu she stayed with boys and made fun of her sister constanly over her sexuality. it was all a joke of course and both took it well-manneredly.
the thing that made Canio smile was the stares she got from the older twin. she knew Danica had a crush on her and she also knew that it was nothing more then a harmless puppy crush. Danica liked her looks, but she knew that Canio could never mate with her, her animal instincts would only allow the dog for a male.
of course... Danica had a right to stare. Canio was shamelessly beautiful and her animal looks made her seem mysterious.
she smiled looking up at the sky and shut her eyes. she was just glad SHE didn;t have to go to school. after Arrow's ordeal she had learned of when she was a pup, she would rather not face it anyways. humans... were just too dancgerous.

Kyle was sitting down on the front porch with Jake in his lap... the dog was still the same small size, but was getting old. He sighed scratching behind his ears " you like that old friend?" he asked smiling at his dog. Jake glanced up at him and yawned slightly

Canio';s eyes wavered over to Kyle and Jake. she sighed sadly her eyes straying on the little dog. he was 8 years old and she knew he was going to die... soon. her ears flattened. over the years they had become the best of friends. like siblings... but like all animals, he had a short life-span. she couldn;t expect him to life forever... she frowned jumping down and walking over. she sat down next to Kyle and pet Jake.

"yes, the sands of time are cruel," she said looking at Kyle. her hidden 'crush' or whatever it was remained just that: hidden. Jakku's were much better at hiding emotions for someone then humans could ever be, "but he;s lived a great life... he nor i could have asked for more."

Canio sighed looking at Kyle. this was going to hurt him more then anyone. humans and there emotions... they didn;t know how to deal with death... it was one of the many things that set their races apart.
