Nikki was cooking a wild boar over an open fire. She sighed as she turned the beast around on the metal bar. It was nighttime and the stars were shinning down on the camp. She had gotten use to sleeping outside on the ground...but she still didn't forget the warmth of a house. She had raised her children like the other Jakku children of the pack...They too slept outside and acted like wild beast. The children were out in the forest playing, waiting for her to announce when dinner was done.
Angus sat on a branch overlooking Costa del Sol. He sighed as he rested his head on his pale hand. His yellow dragon eyes looked over the town. He was five now, he had long silver hair and was much like his mother. He was a dragon Jakku, he had dragon eyes and scales that ran from the back of his neck to the back of his thighs. He was a very quiet Jakku...he never spoke to the others.

Arrow was watching hismate closely. he jumped down and trailed over nuzzling her, "hello."
Shaktia was watching her youngest grandchild closely and jumped up onto the nearest branch, "Angus, why do you look at that town so wistfully?"

Nikki smiled as she nuzled back. "Hello...what are you up to?"
Angus slowly looked at his grandmother. He blinked and looked back at the town. He remand silent but it was easily seen that his mind was thinking about many things.

"watching you, what else?" Arrow purred licking her cheek.
Shaktia looked at her grandchild then the town frowning, thinking of her own dead love Casey. she shook her head sadly. she couldn;t wait for death. it would be heaven, "child, you're silence is unnerveing. not only that but it is the fact that you refuse to speak that reminds me of my brother."

Nikki giggled. She kissed Arrow on the cheek. "Let me finish dinner..." She smiled and continued to turn the bar.
Angus looked at her again and frowned. "I don't mean to disrespect you grandma..." He looked back at the town and sighed once more.

"you don't," Shaktia said looking at him, "silence can be golden at times. it's just..." her ears drooped, "sometimes its better to speak. let people get to know you... understand?"

Nikki smiled as she looked around the woods. "hmm...wonder where the kids went today..." She shook her head and poked the meat.
Angus nodded as he looked down at the forest floor. He sighed again and closed his eyes.

"to cause trouble no doubt," Arrow said and blinked, "has my mom visited?"
Shaktia sighed, "child go play. you still have many years on you. besides you're brother could use the company if his sister keeps leaving him in the dust like she does."

Nikki looked at Arrow and frowned. "No, not yet. Why do you ask?"
Angus shook his head. "Zolt is too afraid of everything...he won't even go to the ocean, he's afraid that he'll fall and drown." He sighed and started to swing his legs back and forth.

"my mom has been getting more distant ever since dad died... i'm getting worried is all..." Arrow said his ears drooping a bit, "the way she is going she may outlive us even... if she doesnlt 'accidently' run into a trap first that is."
"well... convince him theres nothing to fear. all Jakku's can be yielded to follow, given the right insenitive that is." Shaktia said smiling.

Nikki nodded. "Well, I hope she stays strong. Your mother is very nice." She smiled as she took the meat from the rod and placed it on the ground. "Looks done to me."
Angus looked at her. "I don't know how to talk to other Jakkus...not even my parents."

"its no great task Angus. just go down there and say hello." Shaktia said her ears twitching.

Angus looked up as he heard his mother's voice ran through the forest. He grabbed the tree trunk and stood up. He looked at his grandmother and nodded. "You should come have dinner with us..."
Nikki stood up and looked around the woods. The children always dashed back once they heard her call.

Shaktia shook her head slightly, "no... that is ok. go eat child. i am not hungry." and like the wind Shaktia disappeared.
Star ran in first and she smirked stopping in a halt, "hi mommy!!!" she shook her head her cheetah like hair whipping around her.
"thats not fair!!" Zolt's voice rang out as he ran after her, panting.

"Calm down children...there is enough foodfor everyone." She looked around the dark forest and frowned. "Have either of you seen your brother?"
Angus sighed as he jumped off the tree and landed on the wet earth. He started to walk towards the camp, his hands in his pockets.
