"I can help." Sage looked up to see a man standing at the door. The man walked in and looked at them with a smile. "So...you're orphans? You know...I own a large plantation in the next town. I need some more workers to get my cotton picked. You two can come with me and work there. I'll provide you with clothing and food, warmth and shelter. How does that sound?"
"What's the catch?" Sage growled.
"You will be my slaves." The man smirked.

Sage growled as well.
"Now now children i don't treat my slaves badly. You have the free will to go to school if you'd like. You get two meals a day and a nice place to sleep...I don't treat my slaves harsh."

The man blinked as he looked at the boys. "Oh...so you two are gay?" He laughed and shook his head. "I'm not some pervert children. I run a cotton business and I need more workers. However I don't have the money to pay employees so instead I buy slaves. I have a wife so I don't need any type of pleasure slaves, especially not males."
Sage sighed as he stood. "So...when would we be free?"
"Once you're 21, I have no right to own you."

Tay scowled distrustfully, "right... and how do we knopw you're not lying??" he glanced at Sage warily, "Sage don;t tell me you're actually considering this!!"

"We need a place to stay..." Sage looked at Tay and sighed. He didn't like the fact that he would be owned...but they had to find shelter and food somewhere.
The man frowned. "You'll just have to trust me children."

Tay frowned and wrapped his arms around Sage. Sage was right though. they did need a place to stay and this may be the best offer for them. what choice did they have? they only had to work there... what five years? Tay sighed. he;d just would have to watch out for Sage. no one was going to hurt him... not again. besides he could be condemming there death by refuseing...
Tay sucked in a breath and looked at the man bravely, "Fine... we accept you're offer."

The man smiled and nodded. "alright then, We should be arriving at my home town tomorrow. We will go to town and you two can pick out some clothes."

The man smiled and waved. "I'll get you two in the morning. This will be the last day that you'll be free for awhile so you better get done what you'd like." He left the room and shut the door.
Sage sighed and looked away.
