The fog horn blew and Sage opened his eyes. The room was a dusty orange color. He could hear some birds singing outside. It must be morning. He shook his head and looked down at Tay who was deep in sleep. He smiled as he kissed the boy on the cheek and nuzzled his neck.

Tay purred and smiled leaning into the touch. he stirred slightly, "Sage..."

Sage smiled as he rubbed his hand on Tay's chest. He sighed as he laid there and listened to the birds sing. They would have to come up with a way to live...

Tay yawned and opened his eyes. he looked up at Sage and smiled and started kissing his neck.

Sage pushed away and laughed. "Hey...aren't you concerned with what just happened? Com'on...I'm going to go see where we are and if anyone else is alive." He got out of bed and wrapped the blanket around his bare body.

Tay looked at him, "then i'll come with you." he didn;t want to see his lover dissappinted. personally he coudl care less about his father but for Sage he wasn;t so sure how he;d react if his parents were...

Sage walked out into the hallway and looked around. He started to climb a set of stairs and looked to see if anyone was walking around anywhere.

"Yea..." They walked up another flight of stairs and through a door. It was a bar of some sort. Sage walked through the crowd and to the counter. He looked at the bar tender and frowned. "hey, where's the captin of this ship?" The man pointed to the door and Sage walked to it and opened it. He looked around and saw an older man steering the ship.

Tay looked past Sage inside and blinked curiously. he moved closer to Sage feeling a bit nervous and even more protective.

Sage walked to the man and frowned. "Hey."
The man looked at Sage and smiled. "Oh...hello there, can i help you two?"
"Yea...umm...there was a flood in a city not too far away. were there any survivers?"
"Yea, there were two young men who we got out of the river, the rest of the people drowned...seems like the boys were the only spart ones to grab a piece of wood to stay afloat."
Sage frowned. "I see....we are those two boys."
The captin looked at them and sighed. "looks like you're orphans then. I'm sorry to break the bad news kids."

Tay frowned a bit and walked over to Sage putting hos hand on the boy's shoulder.

Sage nodded as he turned and left. he walked back to the room where they slept. He walked to the back wall and punched it with all his strength. "FUCK! now what!?" He punched the wall again and his knockles started to bleed. Tears ran down his cheek as he punced the wall once more.

Tay frowned watching him for a moment then walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around the boys waist, "sssh Sage... its gonna be alright."

"NO! No it's not!" He bursted out into tears as he fell to the floor. He made a fist and winced as the cuts grew. "now we have no way of getting anywhere..."
