She nodded as she shethed her sword and opened the front door. She looked outside and yawned. The sun was slowly coming up. "It's safe to travel during the day...as you must know already." She sighed and started to walk out.

he put his hood on as he stepped out the door. the air was heavy with the smell of rotting demon flesh. he spotted the mountain on the horizon. "ah, there it is. should take about two days to get there."

She nodded as she looked at the mountain. "Well...let's get going." She started to walked down the path that led towards the mountain. She looked up at the sky and sighed. "Looks like it'll ran today."

he looked up to see dark, menacing clouds looming overhead. and a slight wind was picking up. though not much now. "yeah, looks like it. damn."

"little rain never killed anyone." She sighed again as she walked down a steep hill into the valley below. The place was quite small...not much to it. It was near impossible to grow large cities with all these demons running around.

"yeah, but it'll slow us down." he trudged down the hill along beside her. he still couldn't believe this had happened. he'd been wandering alone for so long. it was nice to have someone to talk to.

She shrugged. "Doesn't slow me down..." She looked up at the mountain and again and sighed. This would be different, traveling with someone...since she trusted no one. This guy...demon thing seemed to be ok...so far.

he shrugged and looked ahead towards the mountain. it looked a lot closer than it did from town. it might take less time than he thought. "if we keep going at this pace, we'll be there by tomorrow."

She nodded as she followed the trail. She looked at him at the corner of her eye and frowned. "So...tell me about your family...if you can."

he smiled. "no, i don't mind. my wife was the love of my life. she was beautiful and smart. and she always knew exactly what was on my mind. she hated fighting. so did I, come to think of it. but after that day, everything changed. and my son. my son was so energetic, it took both of us just to put him to bed. but at the same time, he had this kind of inner peace. like nothing in the world could bother him." he trailed off. then he sighed as he closed his eyes and saw her, arms outstretched. he felt like reaching out to her. but he knew that he could never touch or hold her again. he grew solumn. "they were my whole life. i would've done anything for them."

Myra looked down and frowned. "I wish I could be loving like that. My warrior side stopped me from being loving....like my mother. I could never be like her." She sighed as she looked at him. "My real name is Mrah Gainsborough...Grandaughter to one of the worlds greatest fighter...I changed my name to Myra so that my son couldn't track me down when he gets older..."

"I bet you could be loving if you wanted to." he paused for a moment. something about that name sounded familar. "wait, Gainsborough?! THE Gainsborough?! no wonder you're so good with a sword!" he started laughing. "I would've changed my name just to keep away people I didn't even know." he turned serious again. "there's something that i need to know. why did you join me?"

She frowned. "I told you already. i have nothing else to do. You need all the help you can get I guess." She looked up as the rain started to fall down.

Her hair wooshed infront of her face and she pushed it away. She sighed as she looked up at the mountain. "It would be so much easier if you knew how to fly..." She closed her eyes and shook her head. This could take awhile.
